Sixty Percent of Americans View Palin As Unqualified To Be President — Two Percent Say She Is A Muslim

According to a recent poll, sixty percent of Americans view Sarah Palin as unqualified to be President while a huge seventy percent lack confidence in her. My favorite aspect of the poll is that two percent believe she is a Muslim.

However, when you move to simply Republicans, 47 percent believe she would be great as a president. Forty percent of Republicans believe she is unqualified.

UPDATE: The results do not appear to have discouraged Palin, who went to Iowa this week in search of that forty percent.

  1. Mike S.,

How are you doing? The blog has certainly been not the same in spirit or depth of conversation without your presence. You add a needed spark, well reasoned thought out responses to lunatics and responses. Although I don’t always agree, you command my respect sir.

I have mostly been playing wordfued and look in the morning and post after then. I suppose the rest of the blogger have more space….lol…

  2. Ah, but who is this medial troll who attacks through ignorance gratuitously? Boring is my instinct but who knows?

Gyges and Elaine M. and everyone else I’m glad to be back, am feeling very well and I’m halfway down the road to full recovery.
Thank you all for your good wishes and personal expressions of concern.

  3. Media Troll,

I’m going to have to write off that last comment of yours to English not being your primary language.

  4. EC,

You’re back. My Hopes came true. Now wanna make my dreams a reality….I love those tresses……

  5. Who is this Mike guy? Another Troll, of Buddha’s imagery play pals? But when you can’t play with others it best to not play with yourself. Buddhakey.

  6. Jeepers Creepers,

You wrote: At least she is doable, most all of the women of the left are not doable. In fact one would be better off “doing” a German Shepard or a Hampshire Sow rather than one of the lefts “golden” girls.

Most women of the left have discerning taste when it comes to the opposite sex–and we are too intelligent to EVER be tempted to “do” a Neo-anderthal!

  7. We often get bogged down in discussions like this, trying to determine just how ignorant or stupid people are. My take is that most of us understand that we obviously live at a time of limited media outlets, producing right-wing propaganda as part of what Hillary Clinton correctly called a “vast right wing conspiracy.” How can we expect that anybody in the general public understands the issues facing us, when they simply do not get the information they need? The task facing those of us who want our country to be ruled constitutionally and commensurate with our laws is to find some way to combat this propaganda or things will just keep deteriorating.

That being said, it has always been my opinion that a certain percentage of all human populations are incapable of making independent life choices and consequently must find leaders to follow and to tell them how to behave. While this phenomenon is not limited to particular parts of the political spectrum, it seems to run rampant among those who would style themselves Conservatives. We are really in a struggle today to decide if this country and world return to a feudalism ruled by a corporate elite, or to continue and progress towards a world where there is some equity for all and an understanding that we must meet all humans basic needs.

  8. You do not have to be a brain trust to be president. Come on folks. Look at who we have had. The record speaks for itself. Jeepers, stir some more. You’re doing good. I can smell it here in Sunnyvale. Oh yeah, How you like it? More, more, more.

  9. I’m sorry, this is a little off topic, but I’m laughing so hard I just had to share this tidbit.

John Bolton 2012? Bush’s Former U.N. Ambassador Won’t Rule Out Presidential Run

    ROFLMAO

John-boy there couldn’t get elected dog catcher although it would be funny to watch him try given he has all the personality of a pit bull on PCP. This AEI/JINSA/PNAC asshole and cheerleader for perpetual war never had an elected job in government and the closest he came was as as the interim United States Ambassador to the United Nations from August 2005 until December 2006. Which he got from Bush on a recess appointment and he had to resign because even a GOP controlled Senate wouldn’t approve of him. But he hasn’t ruled out a presidential bid, no sir! lol roflol

  10. Jeepers Creepers,

I know divine is a word–and that divination is a word. Has “divinate” been added to the English language in recent years? Could you provide us with its definition?

“The most serious problem with Sarah Palin isn’t that she is not qualified, but that she could never become qualified. She could never become qualified because she is not educable.”

    That’s it–in a nutshell!

  11. Discussions about Sarah Palin, even if they begin seriously, eventually lapse into some sort of theatre of the absurd. So, let’s consider the questions in order:

    1. Is she “doable”? This is a highly impertinent inquiry, but the answer is yes. Anyone is “doable.” Just ask Sen. Vitter.

    2. Is she qualified to be president? Of course not. On the other hand, who is qualified? It’s mostly an on-the-job training kind of position.

    3. Could she survive media scrutiny in another race? Yes, provided that she limits her comments to tweets and Facebook entries and only sits for interviews with Bert Parks. Unfortunately, Bert departed some time ago for that Great Pageant in the Sky, so she will have to stick with tweets and Facebook entries.

The most serious problem with Sarah Palin isn’t that she is not qualified, but that she could never become qualified. She could never become qualified because she is not educable.

  12. Yes, and calling women who don’t agree with you ugly is certainly the height of intellectual prowess. Bravo.

  13. Jeepers,

Surely you should be able to tell from context if we are joking or not.

  14. are you [pl] serious about divine? If one can divinate, well you get the picture but then obviously not.

    Very elegant troll busting indeed.
