Sixty Percent of Americans View Palin As Unqualified To Be President — Two Percent Say She Is A Muslim

According to a recent poll, sixty percent of Americans view Sarah Palin as unqualified to be President while a huge seventy percent lack confidence in her. My favorite aspect of the poll is that two percent believe she is a Muslim.

However, when you move to simply Republicans, 47 percent believe she would be great as a president. Forty percent of Republicans believe she is unqualified.

UPDATE: The results do not appear to have discouraged Palin, who went to Iowa this week in search of that forty percent.

  1. Mike Spindell,

Buddha is allowed to speak for me whenever he wishes because he speaks so well!

  2. Mike,

I think I can speak for all the regulars (and if I can’t speak for all the regulars, then I certainly say this from my perspective) in saying that we’re just glad you’re on the mend and your return greatly benefits us all. Your wit, wisdom and perspective have been sorrily missed.

    Blouise,
I completely agree with you. We may not win but theres a lot to be said for not going gently into the night.

  4. Everyone,
it’s good to be back and I’m feeling myself for the first time in many months. I’m not in the clear yet, but within time have a good prognosis for living a longer life enabling me to view the continuing stories of my children/grandchildren, with sharing the companionship of my beloved. I am warmed by the support and caring many here have shown me including JT our peerless ringmaster and of course Buddha. Contrary to some beliefs I am much more a creature of blue than green. In any event I’m back and wish to share with you below the music that helped sustain me this past scary months.
    Love

    1. Mike:

You have made my week to see you back on the blog. We have truly missed you and your sage observations. You have been much in my thoughts — as with the other regulars on this blog. Welcome back, Mike.

  5. Mike A.,

Sorry! I couldn’t stop myself from posting this video:

  6. eniobob,

What a war pig douche bag! “One of the main criticisms of President Bush’s decision to overthrow Saddam Hussein was that the United States had attacked the wrong target. Iraq wasn’t the real threat, said these critics, it was Iran.” says John Bolton when it was manifestly apparent to anyone with an IQ above room temperature that the 9/11 attacks were funded and manned by Saudi Arabia.

But as long as you can get your perpetual war without pissing off Bush’s business partners in Riyadh, eh, John?

All the signatories to PNAC (of which Bolton is) should be immediately arrested for treason.

  7. BIL:

JB is giving BO some advice for his speech tonight also.

“Bush’s former ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, on how Obama screwed up his predecessor’s handiwork in Iraq, the coming regional arms conflict—and what the president should say in his speech tonight about his decision to withdraw American troops.”

  8. You also left out the ONE number that trumps all the rest…100% believe she is a LUNATIC !!!

I’m sorry, this is a little off topic, but I’m laughing so hard I just had to share this tidbit.

John Bolton 2012? Bush’s Former U.N. Ambassador Won’t Rule Out Presidential Run

    ROFLMAO

John-boy there couldn’t get elected dog catcher although it would be funny to watch him try given he has all the personality of a pit bull on PCP. This AEI/JINSA/PNAC asshole and cheerleader for perpetual war never had an elected job in government and the closest he came was as as the interim United States Ambassador to the United Nations from August 2005 until December 2006. Which he got from Bush on a recess appointment and he had to resign because even a GOP controlled Senate wouldn’t approve of him. But he hasn’t ruled out a presidential bid, no sir! lol roflol

    Plus, he’s a Muslim.

  10. I have been busy and have not been on this blog for a few days so it was good to see you back on, Mike. We live in an unbelievable time. Just saw the discussion on Chris Matthews about Glenn Beck questioning Obama’s christianity.

We often get bogged down in discussions like this, trying to determine just how ignorant or stupid people are. My take is that most of us understand that we obviously live at a time of limited media outlets, producing right-wing propaganda as part of what Hillary Clinton correctly called a “vast right wing conspiracy.” How can we expect that anybody in the general public understands the issues facing us, when they simply do not get the information they need? The task facing those of us who want our country to be ruled constitutionally and commensurate with our laws is to find some way to combat this propaganda or things will just keep deteriorating. ….

For my part … just keep speaking truth to lies … over and over again … rather like teaching a child manners … one doesn’t stop at the 99th repetition because the 100th may be when they actually get it.

For instance … the recent claim that you are an incarnation (or incantation if pagan) of Buddha … everyone on this blog knows you are chartreuse and aromatic while Buddha is rather pea-soupish … 🙄
