Iranian State-Run Paper Calls For Death of French First Lady

The Iranian Kayhan daily, a powerful state-run newspaper, has not only called French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy a “prostitute” but called for her death. The reason: her support for Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, an Iranian woman convicted of adultery and sentenced to be stoned to death.

The newspaper attacked Bruni for a “perverted lifestyle” and said that, not only does Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani deserve to die, but so does she.

The French Ministry called the comments “unacceptable” and the Iranian Foreign Ministry has encouraged the state-run newspaper to show a little more restraint. Perhaps just a flogging for the First Lady?

  1. I wonder what kind of “jollies” Iranian men get from stoning women. Talk about sexist pigs.

  2. I would like to thank Ms. Bruni for speaking out; if only our First Lady had even half your courage.

  3. It appears to novices such as me that sharia law essentially absolves males of responsibility for their sexual activities, which means that males are deemed incapable of controlling their libidos. Why male proponents of sharia law do not find this assumption insulting is a mystery.

  4. Iran is pushing hard to be the most stupidly irrational country on the planet and trying to outpoint their chief competitors the North Koreans. This is not to say that most country’s behave rationally, our own for instance, but that a few surpass even the most stretched of human boundaries.

  5. mespo727272,

I have been out done and still so early. Maybe I’ll have time to catch up today…..

  6. Hell who knows, maybe this time she won’t say….

Sticks and Stones break my bones, but whips and chains really excite me…Just sayin…
