A British study from the University College in London has found that wealthy people have higher levels of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate [DHEAS], a life-lengthening hormone.
DHEAS is a natural steroid hormone is produced by the adrenal glands, sex organs and brain, and is linked to regular exercise, a good diet and companionship. It is not clear if you can skip the exercise and relationships and just eat the rich as a life-lengthening supplement. As Marie Antoinette would say, “Let Them Eat Moi.”

DHEA is a hormone sold cheaply over the counter and has been expoused by many hacks as having anti-aging effects for a long time. It is also banned by certain sports organizations as a performance enhancing drug. You can have copious amounts of the same hormone running through your veins as the wealthiest people! $5.99 at your local pharmacy.
HenMan,
lol
You are a sick man but I love ya!
I understand that Glenn Beck is about to announce his new line of freeze-dried babies at $2,000 each. Gold coins will not be accepted for payment.
I agree….let us eat steak……Red Meat….So how do you want it cooked…Slap it on the ass, knock it horns off and put it on the plate…If I need a vet I will call…do you have it number…Red Meat the life of the wealthy….some said ain’t so healthy….
sorry about the double post.:(
Wealth is good so long as it is honestly acquired. There is the rub.
Those hormones were and still are in Madoff, but it is not likely that they will extend his life.
You don’t just drop the hormones off with the bankruptcy trustee when the wealth dries up.
I see no real nexus between such hormones and possession of wealth.
The more likely scenario is that for some reason the wealthy who acquired the wealth the old fashioned way, they stole it, are simply afraid to die and face the hereafter music. They take stuff to postpone the funeral.
If the wealthy really want to extend the lives of themselves and other people, they will get with the green movement pronto.
Hormones or not, more species are facing extinction in the north, which means we all lose treasure.

The study makes more sense when you realize that although the flesh of poor orphan children contains only small amounts of DHEAS, DHEAS does collect in the body after ingestion.
Much like mercury collects in the fish food chain, except mercury is not an absolute miracle for one’s complexion.

From the article:
“Higher levels are associated with both greater amounts of exercise and an active life with lots of pastimes, interests, friends and family – all of which tend to come with wealth.”
Don’t see that the above is limited to wealthy people, at least not here in the US. Maybe in Britain. There are many middle class and lower middle class people who get lots of exercise (working, not fox hunting) and have lots of “pastimes” (bowling), “interests” (tea party?), friends and family.
Also, if you read the article, the hormone levels peak when you are younger, so you seem to have to be born rich to benefit from this particular hormone. I doubt that most of the parvenus/nouveaux riches hedge fund managers have this hormone in excess.
some will say it isnt fair. Maybe the hormone is a result of hard work and delayed gratification. Something everyone can aspire to and obtain. Not necessarily wealth but a productive life.
What is described as wealthy sounds more like middle class or a little higher.
