Sufia Begum, 50, has become the latest victim of Sharia justice. The Bangladeshi woman died after being publicly caned for an alleged extramarital affair with her stepson.
Begum was sentenced by an Islamic court in her village and whipped 40 times on Nov. 12. The caning was carried about by a Muslim cleric and a local woman. Police reported that village elders “tied 10 canes together and beat her legs.” She was left swollen and her kidneys were badly damaged. Her family was trying to raise money for medical treatment when she died.
Bangladesh outlawed punishments in the name of religious edicts and two people have been arrested.

That is the very definition of unstable.
And that’s the point you keep missing: aggregate global warming produces unstable weather – not just warmer weather – and will do so until the oscillations of the system grow so wild as to pass a bifurcation point where climate changes permanently to reflect a new higher heat “norm”. A “norm” which will indeed preclude snowfall in many areas – a significant and irreversible change in average climate brought on by adding energy to the system in the form of heat retained by carbon.

Actually I stayed up in particular to watch the eclipse. It wasn’t the first one I’ve seen, but it was a good one. I had excellent viewing conditions.
As to being kind? Neither. A climate change denier who doesn’t understand the carbon cycle and how atmospheric chemistry affects reflectivity and how heat impacts complex systems is considerably less offensive to my political sensibilities than a fascist liar.
This is primarily a law/politics blog. If it were a science blog, I’d still be all over your case.
