Sean Hannity, Bill Donohue, & The War on Easter: The Turley Blog Edition

Submitted by Elaine Magliaro, Guest Blogger

All you Christian warriors out there best make ready for battle! Sean Hannity and the Catholic League’s Bill Donohue are now claiming that there is a war on Easter. “Oh no!” you say. “Who would do such a thing?” Why, Lady Gaga, comedian Ricky Gervais, and a few other dastardly demons—that’s who.

I even heard it through the grapevine that the CEO of Easter Bunnies, Inc., is hopping mad. I was told that he’s organized his bunny brigade and worked in co-operation with the president of Hatchling Chicks Corporation to devise a plan to go after anti-Easterites like Lady Gaga and Gervais.

Get your trebuchets ready! I’ll bring eggs. We’re planning to meet in Mister MacGregor’s garden tomorrow at the first light of dawn. We’ll shell the hard-boiled enemies of Easter ova and ova again until they surrender. They won’t know what hit them.

Are you ready to join me and my fellow warriors?

Why look! It’s Free Market Jesus! Here to maximize his profits! Whoo hooo! Screw the sick and the poor! Look out! It’s Free Market Jesus! Here he comes! Look busy!

    Jackass.

Seriously, have you actually read the Bible, HiR? Or do you just like to hit yourself in the head with it?
    ——————–
    bwahahahahahahahhahahahhaha!

    ….again….the laffs just keep comin….hahahahaha!

    thank you Buddha dear……….

  2. Jim,
You are welcome to believe whatever religious beliefs that you want to, but they can’t be foisted upon all of us by turning it into government laws.
    HenMan,
I will have to ask Jesus for help in paying my mortgage because according to Jim, Jesus owns everything.

  3. No. It’s not name calling when it’s an accurate description of your behavior. Your perpetual illogical ramblings and ranting proves my point: you are incapable of reason.

When people persist in irrational beliefs in the face of reason, logic and proof, they are by definition insane.

You can keep proclaiming you are right or whatever all you wish. You can declare you are Napoleon or even Jesus himself if you wish. That doesn’t make you correct in your unfounded assertions.

    insanity \in-ˈsa-nə-tē\, n.,

1: a deranged state of the mind usually occurring as a specific disorder (as delusions or schizophrenia)

2: such unsoundness of mind or lack of understanding as prevents one from having the mental capacity required by law to enter into a particular relationship, status, or transaction or as removes one from criminal or civil responsibility

3a : extreme folly or unreasonableness b : something utterly foolish or unreasonable

1 & 3 are vastly evidenced by your posts.

2 would be up to a court appointed psychiatrist to diagnose and a judge to decide.

I’ll let the evidence speak for itself, which I am sure it will proceed to do ad nauseum.

And again and finally I bid you good day.

    Don’t forget that Thorazine.

  4. Jim-

Buddha is right- Shiva is a better risk. Jesus just pisses it away helping those damned poor people instead of giving it to the Heritage Foundation or Glenn Beck University to spread the word of Christianity to us heathens.

  5. No.

It’s refusal to deal with the insane.

    Have a nice day.

    Up your Thorazine.

  6. Shouting at me to answer the question will only get you the finger, Thumper.

What part of “I bid you good day” and “Have a nice day” didn’t register?

  7. Buddha Is Laughing

When Jesus stated “All you who are heavy laden come and I will give you rest,” Why didn’t he say for them to go to the Roman government? Answer the question!!!

  8. I admitted no such thing.

There is nothing wrong with my logic and I’d challenge you to prove it, but you are manifestly incapable of logic.

What I said – nicely the first time – is that you’re a complete moron who thinks irrational belief is a substitute for reason, logic and proof.

Which means you are not only stupid, but delusional.

Next time you try to put words in my mouth, I won’t be nearly as nice, Thumper.

    Have a nice day.

I am glad you admit that your logic is 100% wrong. If you think one second that you can twist and turn your liberal agenda with me, you were mistaken. God has given all of us common sense but you can’t prove one iota that he intended people to seek help from the government and forget about him when there are so many Christians willing to help.
If you kept spending your rent money on beer do you think a Christian would keep giving you money in hopes you might pay the rent? That is the difference between Christians and the government–the government will keep doing it.

  10. It has become apparent that your arguments suck because you are not only bereft of logic, but rather actively run away from it, Thumper. One who lacks the capacity for reason cannot be reasoned with. I bid you good day.

Medicare doesn’t pay the bills completely which requires a supplement. Also, since when did Jesus operate in logic? Give and it shall be given to you. Notice I have to give first even if I believe I don’t have the money to do it. God doesn’t move, we do. If I want to be blessed I must be a blessing. Government can’t cure people’s woes but Jesus can which is why he never told the people to go to the government.
When Jairus came and asked for help with his daughter jesus didn’t say go the government. When Mary and Martha called on Jesus for Lazarus, he didn’t say take lazarus to the government. My thinking is absolutely correct!

  12. No, Jim. As a matter of formal logic, Elaine is 100% correct. Your argument sucks.

  13. Because he was talking about spiritual matters, Jim. Not Earthly matters. Like government. Upon which he said “render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar’s”. Earthly concerns are the concerns of mortal men, spiritual matters are the concern of God. You go to God if your soul is troubled. You have a problem dealing with a neighbor or you are feeling envious? Talk to God. But since you pay taxes, if you can’t afford your medical bills in your old age, you go to Medicare. Prayer may help soothe your soul, but Medicare will keep the bill collectors from coming a knockin’.

  14. Buddha Is Laughing

If he did want you to go the government then why would he only state to come to him?
