All you Christian warriors out there best make ready for battle! Sean Hannity and the Catholic League’s Bill Donohue are now claiming that there is a war on Easter. “Oh no!” you say. “Who would do such a thing?” Why, Lady Gaga, comedian Ricky Gervais, and a few other dastardly demons—that’s who.
I even heard it through the grapevine that the CEO of Easter Bunnies, Inc., is hopping mad. I was told that he’s organized his bunny brigade and worked in co-operation with the president of Hatchling Chicks Corporation to devise a plan to go after anti-Easterites like Lady Gaga and Gervais.
Get your trebuchets ready! I’ll bring eggs. We’re planning to meet in Mister MacGregor’s garden tomorrow at the first light of dawn. We’ll shell the hard-boiled enemies of Easter ova and ova again until they surrender. They won’t know what hit them.
Are you ready to join me and my fellow warriors?

Jim,
Why do you try to act like your lack of compassion for others just because they don’t get help directly from you but rather indirectly via government services is anything other than an act borne out of your own ego and selfishness rather than the universally compassionate principles espoused by Jesus?
Jesus would be for helping as many people as possible. Jesus would be for universal healthcare. End of story.
You, Jim, are not able to help as many people as an organization is simply as a matter of scale.
Unless you are Superman.
And I’m pretty sure you aren’t Superman.
Hospital attendees should show proof of citizenship and if it is 100% proven they are illegal, once out of hospital sent back where they came from.
Jim, the Hill-Burton act guarantees you will be seen if you go to the ER. They will stabilize you, tell you to see your physician, and send you on your way. If you have a chronic illness like cancer, there is nothing the ER can do for you and the hospital will not admit you. They will tell you to see your physician as soon as possible.
In case you are wondering, we are a medical family and one family member is an ER physician. Hill-Burton only goes so far.

Jim.
“If I am not mistaken all people have access to education in this country..” – Yes. Some more so than others.
“Anybody can go to the hospital and the hospital can’t turn them away.” – Yes, but only in emergencies and in the case of pregnancy.
And what to these two facts have in common?
They are both mandated by law.
Laws that are crippling our country and increasing our deficits and national debt. Education should stay but hospital mandates should go.
Again, poor lil’ Bambi.

Why add to what Jesus did and try to act as if it were only done for money. While on the subject, why didn’t Jesus just send them all to the government?
Jim.

You are making it FAR too easy to ridicule you … what usually happens when driving around with an expired registration, brain surgeon …
Nothing unless a cop pulls them over for something else. Do you honestly believe the police are pulling everyone over for expired registrations?
Jim,
And that’s how cultists react to humor: with a marked lack of a sense of humor but especially regarding their particular cult.

Dingleberry,
“What about one who DOESN’T re-register but keeps driving? ”

“You must really be an idiot.”
Project much, dingleberry?
“I’ll bet you graduated last in your class.”
Nah, I was more in the middle – average. And I never claimed to be anything but.

but only those who could pay Him 100 shekels each.
That is what cults do, add to the gospel.
Matthew 9:35 (Rand Edition)
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people . . . but only those who could pay Him 100 shekels each.
raff: Man, do you use “caring” loosely. I learned a long time ago; when someone starts telling me how much a Christian they are, I make sure I keep a hand on my wallet at all times and read the fine print even more carefully.

Jesus would heal them! I am not cold-hearted. I just believe we all should be personally responsible to the best of our abilities. If I don’t have money and need help then I should:
1. cancel cable tv
2. cancel my cell phone
3. stop eating out
4. don’t buy beer, wine, etc.
5. ask for help from family, friends, and your local church
This will all change soon because unemployment isn’t coming down soon, gas is going higher, and both those are OBAMA downturns. College grads who can’t find work won’t be voting for Obama and prospective grads who know there is no job won’t be voting for him either.

What does the DMV do when hearing about a cancellation?
You cannot register, nor can you re-register, a vehicle without:
1. Proof of auto insurance; and
2. Proof that all motor vehicle taxes are paid and current.
What about one who DOESN’T re-register but keeps driving? You must really be an idiot. I’ll bet you graduated last in your class.
OS,
It is amazing how such caring Christians can be so cold blooded when it comes to health care for the needy. My favorite question to ask them is What Would Jesus Do?
Dingleberry,
“How many cancel their insurance after showing proof?”
When an insured either cancels a policy on their own, or has their coverage dropped for non-payment, insurance companies, by law, must advise the DMV.
“How many use photoshop to make their own?”
Reread my post of 4:00 PM.
Just stay in TexASS. Please.
Jim:
I agree with your comment. I remember moving with my family to Huntsville, Alabama in 1963. The local people I met there believed that Catholics were a lot of bizarre things, but Christian wasn’t one of them.
The only non-illegal immigrants are the Native Americans. Every other person on this continent that is not an NA originated as an invader, immigrant or conquistador.
Maybe the Indians should have had the same policy as the teabaggers.
Don’t you just love it when people who profess to be compassionate and “christian” advocate denying health care and education to people because of where they were born. How Jesus-like of them.
