All you Christian warriors out there best make ready for battle! Sean Hannity and the Catholic League’s Bill Donohue are now claiming that there is a war on Easter. “Oh no!” you say. “Who would do such a thing?” Why, Lady Gaga, comedian Ricky Gervais, and a few other dastardly demons—that’s who.
I even heard it through the grapevine that the CEO of Easter Bunnies, Inc., is hopping mad. I was told that he’s organized his bunny brigade and worked in co-operation with the president of Hatchling Chicks Corporation to devise a plan to go after anti-Easterites like Lady Gaga and Gervais.
Get your trebuchets ready! I’ll bring eggs. We’re planning to meet in Mister MacGregor’s garden tomorrow at the first light of dawn. We’ll shell the hard-boiled enemies of Easter ova and ova again until they surrender. They won’t know what hit them.

You must be reading a different Bible than the one I read. That’s not the lesson of either the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23, Luke 8:11 4-15 ) or the Parable of the Weeds (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43) or the Parable of the Mustard Seed (Matthew 13:31–32, Mark 4:30–32, Luke 13:18-19).

I have lived on the border and, no, my attitude would no different regarding our immigration policies.
As to the rest of your bullshit? What makes you so much more divine than someone from Mexico? This isn’t Heaven and Mexicans aren’t Satan or demons and you most certainly are not God or Jesus.

Jesus taught a parable where a farmer needed workers and mutually agreed a wage. During the day he hired more workers and ended up paying all of them the same. Our government would not stand for this but Jesus made it clear that farmer can do with his land whatever he want and can pay his workers whatever he wants as long as they agree.

If you only lived on the border where there are thousands literally thousands of illegals milking our system your attitude would be different. Remember Satan tried to take over heaven and God kicked him out and if we are not careful the illegals will destroy this country.

Where your argument goes south is you are not following Jesus by trying to live a Christ-like life, but rather trying to rationalize your own distrust of government to do anything and your vanity and egotism that help should come from you so people know what an outstanding “Christian” you are instead of using logic and reason to find the way to help the most people possible by whatever mechanism possible.

You obviously have never lived on Mexican border and witnessed first hand the thousands of illegal immigrants milking our government. I know of one school district where there are over 5,000 illegal students being educated for free. They are also receiving free breakfast and lunch. They are also receiving free transportation. At the local hospitals they show up in waves to get help for a common cold because they know our system won’t turn them away. Law abiding Americans have to pay and this country can’t sustain itself with this type of system.
Jim sez: “Hospital attendees should show proof of citizenship and if it is 100% proven they are illegal, once out of hospital sent back where they came from.”

I really love it when teabaggers and conservatives spout off without stopping to consider the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Maybe Jim will reflect on this if he is brought into an ER semi-conscious, bleeding and in pain. I can see the ER staff now:
“Where is your birth certificate?”
“Where is your proof of citizenship?”
“Do you have a green card?”
“Sorry, you cannot prove you are in the country legally, so as soon as we get the bleeding stopped, ICE will be here to pick you up and take you to a detention center.”

Jesus wants us to help everybody which is the basis for the golden rule but he never mandates that we do. That is the difference and where your argument goes south.
Hey Buddha, did you hear that Jesus used a means test at the Sermon on the Mount? Every member of the multitude had to prove they were in the country legally before he would give them bread and fish.
And prove they had exhausted all legal means to find work before food would be issued to them?
