The Texas Dept. of Public Safety will not revoke or suspend the license of Crockett Keller, a handgun instructor who ran a radio ad telling Muslims and non-Christian Arabs that he would not teach them how to handle a firearm. Keller has agreed that he will train Muslims while adding that he views them as “the enemy.”
The DPS statement said Crockett Keller agreed that he would not refuse handgun instruction “to anyone based on national origin, race or religion.” Note that did not include political associations so liberal Muslims might have to shop around.
Keller insists that “I’m not a mean individual,” but wanted the world to know that liberals and Muslims are not welcomed. His commercial stated that “If you are a socialist liberal and/or voted for the current campaigner-in-chief, please do not take this class . . . Also, if you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you this class. Once again, with no shame, I am Crockett Keller.”
As long as Muslims do not mind being called “enemies” of the nation, they can enjoy Keller’s classes. Of course, all of those “enemies” serving in our military in Iraq and Afghanistan will not need the training since they are already defending Keller’s right to denounce people on the basis of their faith.

OS,
Thank you for that lovely piece and I wish to return the blessing with this lovely lullaby … it’s what we call a “grower”
Sounds like a real Celtic evening!
Blouise,
I recommend some Bushmills for that cold!
Gene,
I put a lot of lemon in my hot toddy … sometimes even a little orange.
mespo, OS, and I will drink your share of the scotch and thank you for it. 🙂
SwM,
Plain Dealer analysis:
“Now, despite his low approval ratings, Obama can compete for Ohio’s 18 electoral votes by taking advantage of a grass-roots organization that has had months to gel. As appealing as the other states might appear on paper, none offers the head start Democrats have here.”

Blouise, you make me smile. For you, Oganaich Uir A Rinn M’fhagail by Julie Fowlis:
I know it’s blasphemy and a betrayal to my cultural heritage, but I still prefer hot lemonade when suffering a cold. I’m not much of a scotch drinker even when healthy though, so go figure. 😀
OS,
Slàinte mhòr agad! … and yet another sip
Blouise,
Sláinte!
OS,\
Alba gu brath! … clink 🙂
Raff, hold your breath. Less than half the precincts have reported, and the swing votes are going to come from rural areas. Look for it to tighten up as the night goes on.
As you know, my son is a physician in MS and both he and my DiL who is a critical care nurse, are really pissed about this whole thing.
SwM,
Kasich lost big, big time on 1 & 2 … 3 passed but it won’t stand up in court anyway
This was a huge referendum on Kasich as he chose to “put his face” on the issue … he got hit in the face with the proverbial pie. The republican national is very worried now for he was their guy for state leadership in the 2012 election … good luck boyos.
Great news from both Ohio and Mississippi.

That is 40 for and 60 against the amendment.
Blouise, anything that pisses off Karl Rove must be a Good Thing.
Here’s to Good Things.
Ms 31% in – 60 -40.
mespo,
Thanks kiddo … I am sipping a superb Aberlour a’bunadh and steadily feeling better. I was thinking of putting it into a hot toddy and then came to my senses and fetched a cordial glass from the cabinet. There are certain things one should never do to a single malt.
OS,
That is great news for we were dreading the possibility of that trying to get on the ballot here in Ohio. If it fails down south I don’t think they’ll even try up here. Karl Rove will be pissed for that was going to be one of his divisive “get the voters out to the polls” ploys in 2012.
Gene, it has a way to go, but keep clicking the link to WAPT election coverage for latest updates. We will have to see what the more rural areas bring, especially up around Tupelo, where Don Wildmon has his organization.
