  1. I have cats and dogs and they are very much like siblings. They play together, lay together and fight sometimes too. The cats will rub against the dogs legs just like they do to us humans and the dogs will sometimes bathe the cats. I catch them laying on the furniture together. They are all rescues and I think they know it could be worse than having to share a home with each other.

  2. Rave reviews!!!

Posted this on my families mail server.

Can’t tell you how much in pained me to have to admit it was not my shot.

But that did not stop them a bit from commenting and enjoying.

  3. So methane management has been Gaiia’s problem all along. Thereof the ice ages.
Now the evil genie is out of the box again, thanks to us this time.

Only thermphile non-aerobic bacteria will have a chance of survival.
However we may become Venus which will boil off the oceans, and sterilize the planet. No meaningful chemical reactions necessary for life will remain.
Achieving higher level organiisms will not be possible. So that was the end of that TV series. The Koch brothers never got the “right” religion.

Will there be someone in space who wiill enjoy them, record them, and amaze themselves at this self-destructive species?

Will Hunger Games play well on Sagittarius?

God says “ho hum”. How many do I have left. 1.8 x 10 to the 30th? ´Wonder what’s on the TV tonight?, he says, in a humanoid voice. One of his many favorites.

  4. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

-Isaiah’s prophecy of the days of the Messiah.

i wonder what the lion will eat though? Will it become a vegan or stick to fish who will still be screwed in the end of days?

  5. uh, in case you haven’t been keeping up:

Global Extinction within one Human Lifetime as a Result of a Spreading Atmospheric Arctic Methane Heat wave and Surface Firestorm

    Abstract

Although the sudden high rate Arctic methane increase at Svalbard in late 2010 data set applies to only a short time interval, similar sudden methane concentration peaks also occur at Barrow point and the effects of a major methane build-up has been observed using all the major scientific observation systems. Giant fountains/torches/plumes of methane entering the atmosphere up to 1 km across have been seen on the East Siberian Shelf. This methane eruption data is so consistent and aerially extensive that when combined with methane gas warming potentials, Permian extinction event temperatures and methane lifetime data it paints a frightening picture of the beginning of the now uncontrollable global warming induced destabilization of the subsea Arctic methane hydrates on the shelf and slope which started in late 2010. This process of methane release will accelerate exponentially, release huge quantities of methane into the atmosphere and lead to the demise of all life on earth before the middle of this century.

read the rest, and keep “hoping for the best” as we change NOTHING to mitigate any of this.

  6. It is why mother gorilla saves baby human who falls into the gorilla place. You’ve all seen it I guess. So he is mothering her, and she is glad for it. It’s lonely our here. Both are the better for it. Lesson? Take your pick.

  7. Human concepts are not necessarily shaped by dog thoughts or feline thoughts and concepts. You have dog people and cat people and usually the Twain never meet. And, a dog person might urge Fido to go chase some cat off the yard. A cat person might tell Nora that all dogs are bad.

But us dogs in our dog pack have a no cat left behind policy for our neighborhood. They are our pals. Now rabbits are a different matter.

  8. Years ago, neighbors has a dog that had been abandoned as a puppy & raised by their cat. When it was happy it would growl, silly thing thought it was purring! Its unnerving to be petting a dog & have it start growling though.
