Are The Colts God’s Team?

-Submitted by David Drumm (Nal), Guest Blogger

If Indianapolis Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians has his way only “high quality” people will be part of the Colts’ organization. What determines a “high quality” person in Arians’ mind? A person who “cares about faith, family and football.” No atheists are welcome.

Arians’ blatant bigotry against the 15% of Americans who reject faith may pay big dividends on the football field. The correlation between great performance on the field and belief in God is evidenced with Tim Tebow. When Tebow wins, millions of believers attribute the win to Tebow’s faith and their belief in God is reinforced.

The former head coach, Jim Caldwell, now quarterbacks coach for the Baltimore Ravens, would quote the Bible’s New Testament in his pregame chats to the team. This kind of demonstration from the head coach excludes those players, if any, who don’t share his Christian faith.

Jacob Tamme, former tight end for the Colts, put it this way:

The Colts are known for having the reputation of a godly Christian example. That is because the coaches here set the Christian example.

The NFL has long been a leader in fighting bigotry and judging players based on their abilities. It is time the NFL stands up against the exclusionary tactics perpetrated by religious bigots. It is a stain on the NFL’s reputation.

    1. Mike Spindell :All war is in vain. All war is seeking a vain thing. All war spills human blood being abominable..KJV, Pro; 6;16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren,

  2. This short video is called The Average British Soldier. The words apply to every youngster from every country who goes off to war. Keep them all in your mind and heart, not just on this Veterans Day, but on all the other day of the year as well. They deserve no less.

  3. Eric Bogle wrote The Band Played Waltzing Matilda back in 1971. He speaks the truth about what it means to be a soldier who returns. As has been said, there are no unwounded soldiers who have been to the war.

  4. I did once hear a song on the radio: “Drop Kick me, Jesus, through the goalposts of life.”

    1. Malisha A childlike spirit. Jesus does it all =^_^= I see the person saying glory halleluiah as he passes through the goal posts. Little does he know that heaven is in him long befog he passes between the goal posts. .Nothing he does gets him there. Not of out own works lest anyone should boast. Christ is us the hope of glory.

Actually in the garden of Eden God did offer a penis to Eve. She turned to him and refused it, saying “No thanks big “G” I am very contented with the brain between my ears.
God was chagrined by this choice, yet he recognized the wisdom in Eves denial. So as a reward he gave to Eve a teeny tiny penis, that would enhance pleasure but not interfere powerfully with brainwaves and logic. To keep Adam from prancing around 52 weeks a year proud and chest pounding about the dominance of his tool, he allowed for women to be visited monthly by “humours” which for the entire life of all males, confuses and bewilders mens understanding of the female logic. Viva La Difference !! and Deference!! šŸ™‚

This story was not accepted for inclusion in the Bible, it was burned in the temple of Ephesus.

    1. Actually because Eve allowed the devil to beguile her lost the pleasure God initially gave to Eve. That clit could have been the equivalent to a male penis being shrunken after being banished from the garden of Eden.

  7. Jesus.
    Created.
    Penises.

That’d make a real nifty t-shirt, artie, but you’re implying God left something out of his six day rush job in building the universe.

    1. Gene H.I am saying this: Jesus who is Lord is not in the least ashamed of what people are ashamed of. God made life The Lord God made man. Penises are a part of man like any other part of man.

  8. frankmascagniiii,

I never forget that I am free because they were brave. I personally am thanking both of my son-in-laws and my oldest daughter with cards and a flower.

  9. “And Jesus of Nazareth scores a grand slam! Cubs win!”

Unless that is the accurate play by play? I could really do without ever hearing another sports figure credit Jesus or God or whatever for their win. I’m pretty sure God (if he/she/it exists) doesn’t have a favorite sports team and it really detracts from the hard work the players did to earn their victory.

  10. My Gods penis is bigger than your Gods penis, ergo,…my penis is bigger than yours.

I believe many women marry many men who are big penises.

  11. It used to astonish me that sports had something to do with religion. It used to astonish me that people thought religion had something to do with sex. It used to astonish me that there was some sort of connection between things that had no relevance — until it came into focus. These huge spectator sports sports are to us what the religious rituals were once able to be — unifying and thus competitively divisive principles that let us feel validated and “chosen” — by outside forces we can worship and whose divine victories we can therefore adopt. We WIN! Of course religion plays an important part in uniting teams and in inspiring “winning behaviors.” It’s so bizarre there must be names for it.

    1. Religion does not have to do with sex/ Know history.Religious people arrested Jesus in Gethsemane wanting jesus dead. Jesus created penises. The devil is in religion wishing he could destroy all of them. This is our portion under the sun. Do whatever with all of your might, but love whoever as yourself, and obtain a greater gift after this life.

  12. “i guess at halftime they could nail some lucky fan to the goalposts.”

pete, the networks love the idea. Doritos and Bud are already competing for ad placement.

    1. No That should not even be emulated. That would show people acting like the condeminmg unsaved religious people against Jesus. Jesus in us saves Jesus in us does not crucify anyone.

  13. Nick, no. But a hell of a lot of minorities have served – not that you could tell by that clip.

Oh well. America got its first demographic lesson last Tuesday. Future shorts will not be making the same mistake.

my first thought would be the patron saint of martyrs but apparently there isn’t one. tebow being protestant he would no doubt refuse to wear a helmet with a saint on it anyway, besides with gods protection he really doesn’t need a helmet. or pads, or a cup.

i guess at halftime they could nail some lucky fan to the goalposts.
