John,
Not the Tea Party, that’s for sure. If abortion were outlawed and millions of unwanted babies were born to unwed mothers who then needed financial assistance, the Tea Folks would be the first to be out on the street with signs reading “No tax money for your illegitimate babies! Taxed enough already!”.

Just cut it, throw it in the trash. Who will speak for them? Who will be their champion? Who will love them and wipe away every tear?

Should you feel guilty about your abortions?

John, Most women who undergo an abortion do so after considering the options. It is not a decision that is made lightly. Do they feel guilt? I don’t see that it’s any of our business. Women’s reproductive health decision are hers, and hers alone, to make after consulting with whomever she thinks will help her make the best decision.

bettykath – since it takes two to tango, I have never seen the logic in ‘It is her decision and her’s alone” philosophy.

I am not sure why people are so upset about corporations being persons, since unborns lost their personhood.

Another great cartoon by Fiore. Thanks, Elaine, for posting. I’d rather think it’s the 5 Supremes though that are declaring the new commandments.

Once again. Paraguard and Mirena might not cause spontaneous abortion but they pierce the Uterus, cause inflammatory pelvic disease and also brain swelling and in exctreme cases, like my Mother, Death.
Are the Cartoons part of a troll situation or what since Mr Turley thought the Hobby Lobby thing just for Religious freedom and closely held corporations.
To quote his blog “This is a major blow to the Administration which in the last ten days have been found to have violated the fourth amendment and privacy and then found to be in violation of the separation of powers and now found in violation of the first amendment and religious freedom.”
I suppose it’s okay to post a monstrous cartoon like this and pretend its funny idk.

Unborn is, by definition, NOT a person. You don’t get to bend or redefine the words of the English language, let alone medical and legal definitions, for your narrow purposes. We are basically being ruled—and I mean ruled–by four Catholics and a Baptist sycophant.
I’m old enough to remember conservatives screaming from the roof tops that if John Kennedy were to be elected his loyalties would be more to the Vatican than to our Constitution or the American people. What that Catholic Democrat did not do, these Catholic conservatives have now done.

Paul, I worry about corporations being persons because I believe the current Supreme Court has totally warped the Constitution, a document I believe in. I also hold the “establishment clause” over religion as doctrine when it comes to matters of legislation. Once the beliefs of one religion, even if it is the dominant religion in the country, are held to be law, we have lost the freedoms enshrined to us in that pesky little document. I, if forced to a choice, would have to think long and hard about abortion, but I will not force that choice upon others. Along that line, I don’t believe in the death penalty either. I had a father who would have registered as a conscientious objector in WWII, but his younger brothers took the decision out of his hands by allowing him to stay on the farm while they enlisted. He was an Orthodox Jew, and while I no longer practice, his beliefs stay with me. To be frank, what is going on now in the U.S. frightens me, even as a secular Jew. I’m forced to feel what it is like as a “minority”, as are the Muslims, and others who aren’t chest thumping while claiming victimhood. Perhaps that’s why many are upset, both religious and secular.

Ajury in Florida just awarded a punitive damage award of 23 Billion Dollars against a cigarette company over the death of a customer. This means that lawyers and juries have the power to stop the biggest killer in the United States. Smoking kills. Quit worrying about the ten to a hundred killed in Gaza or Israel. Here are some statistics from that pirate territory within the United States called New York City:
Deaths in New York from Smoking
Adults who die each year from their own smoking 23,600
Kids now under 18 and alive in New York who will ultimately die prematurely from smoking 280,000
