We recently discussed the homicidal hunk from ISIS who is all the rage with Muslim women looking for a husband to watch martyred. The extremist Sunni movement has been reaching out to Westerners to join their self-declared caliphate and thousands have reportedly responded. Now even more disturbing pictures have been posted with a father from Australia having his seven-year-old son holding up a severed head in celebration and a former British rapper (right) doing the same. Beheadings are viewed by ISIS as a traditional Islamic form of execution and a type of macabre celebration of their view of Islam. Severed heads feature prominently on ISIS (or Islamic State) social media postings.
The image of the young boy is particularly shocking for most people even after being deadened by weeks of atrocities and murders by ISIS forces. Sharrouf (left and right) claims that this is his son who has joined him in the wonderful caliphate created by the Islamic State. Sharrouf is wanted on terrorism charges in Australia and escaped to the Middle East on his brother’s passport. He posted the picture with the caption: “That’s my boy.”
He of course also posed with the severed head — a signature moment for any Islamic State fanatic and apparently a father-son bonding moment. He followed the grisly pics with a prayer that Allah “grant us martyrdom.”
As a father of four who yesterday prevented my nine-year-old daughter from watching Batman as too violent, I cannot imagine the twisted religious view that prompts a father to teach a child to mock and devalue a human life in this fashion. But then again beheading are not viewed in our house as the ultimate expression of religious values.
A friend of Sharrouf defended the picture and told the Telegraph that “This is what every sensible Muslim wants, to bring their children up in a caliphate . . . I don’t see what the big concern is getting children to hold up severed heads.” In the meantime, pro-Islamic State flyers and supporters have appeared in England. These are people who see these images and rejoiced in them as the culmination of their true faith.
Much like the once secularized law student turned homicidal religious fanatic, British rapper Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 23, shows how quickly an individual can become radicalized in these Islamic extremist circles. Before he was modeling with severed heads of non-believers and traitors, he was trying to establish himself in the record industry. Then roughly a year all, he walked out of his family’s wealthy home in Maida Vale, west London, to join ISIS and “leav[e] everything for the sake of Allah.” His new persona posted pictures laughing with severed heads and the caption “Chillin’ with my homie or what’s left of him.” He went from a rapper on the “grime” music scene to extremist after encountering Anjem Choudary — a hateful and extremist Muslim speaker. Now Bary displays heads with captions like “It’s beautiful when you see Allah’s laws implemented.”
These pictures truly capture the insurmountable gulf between these Islamic fanatics and the rest of humanity, including most Muslims. They revel in the blood and killings of non-believers and seem liberated from basic human values by their religion. Their clerics seem to tap into not just pre-existing rage but a desire for murder and torture. The sense of euphoria in these images speaks to an almost narcotic effect of unrestrained violent rage. What is interesting is that this is not some weekend frolic of homicidal joy but a constant state of serving Allah by severing heads.
The world has truly gone mad.
And yet this “humanitarian crisis” doesn’t warrant immediate action because what, they don’t have a significant voter constituency in the United States? Maybe the Yizidi’s should declare they are suffering at the hands of the drug cartels.

That’s still going on — and with the winding down of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars under the Obama administration, the Department of Defense finds itself with a lot of excess military equipment on its hands.
Put these two trends together, and you get a lot of local police departments and sheriff’s offices asking for, and getting, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers, and M-16s.
A story in the New York Times looks into where this equipment ends up — and how locals feel about equipment that was developed for use in Iraq and Afghanistan ending up on their streets.
“It just seems like ramping up a police department for a problem we don’t have,” said Shay Korittnig, a father of two who spoke against getting the armored truck at a recent public meeting in Neenah(, WI). “This is not what I was looking for when I moved here, that my children would view their local police officer as an M-16-toting, SWAT-apparel-wearing officer.”
The New York Times article reports that the Pentagon has sent local police departments “tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft” over the past several years. But that’s actually just scratching the surface of the military equipment that local police departments can get.”

Is it not interesting how we fund one group and they become another…. I wonder if the CIA calculated this correctly…. Or another just war for peace and American prosperity….

You are entitled to your opinion. Personally, if 6 million of my people had been locked up and murdered, I would be a poster child for the NRA. But instead New York Jews like Bloomberg want to disarm. You can call that “not stupid ” but not me.
Plus, a bunch of Jews straight out of concentration camps built within a few years a modern country and won several wars while surrounded by enemy nations. Meanwhile in this country liberal Jews accept all the muling and puking of a welfare state for Blacks and expect squat from them. You can call that “not stupid” but not me.

It’s easy to see how minds are manipulated by religion. Once someone adopts religious fantasies as real, it very rare for them to escape that prison. Self-medicating with illusions is very powerful.
Good, for seeing Batman as too violent. There’s just too much of that crap in popular culture today.
Islamic extremists see killing as a right to control their religion, no differently than women see abortion as a right to control their bodies.
If you’re going to be outraged about killing, at least be outraged about all of it!

Thank God, and lawyers, we have a second amendment here. Should ISIS make it here, the Southern Baptists will have their own militia. And other denominations, too. I am not sure about the Unitarians or Christian Scientists.

Scott Lively an American anti gay missionary, The Internatonal House of Prayer, Liberty University and more Christian fundamentalist groups, on a mission to get African countries to persecute their gay population in lashings imprisonments and forced marriages. Stoning takes a long time for the victim to die, seems like beheading is quicker. Maybe the fundamentalist homophobes should adopt beheading for the punishment of engaging in gay sex.
The world has truly gone mad. I look for other fringes of religions to start doing the same thing. It seems like a very short jump from “leap of faith” to “my faith supports what I believe.” Religion can be as good a facilitator of all the darkness of humanity, just like gangs, political movements, etc.
