“I Just Recorded It Because It Was Funny”: CTA Seeks Two Men Shown Slapping Around Elderly Man On Subway

6198432_GThe Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is looking for at least two young men who slapped and taunted an elderly man for fun on the blue line this week. The video below is incredibly depressing to watch the sadistic fun of the young men. The person taking the video was identified when he captured his own image in the video. He later told the media that “I don’t know why they did what they did. I just recorded it because it was funny.” You can watch it and determine for yourself how funny it is. If your reaction is like mine, you will be left with a chilling notion of kids who seem to lack any sense of humanity.

imagesThe videographer who calls himself A-T-L did not see anything wrong with enjoying the misery of an old man or two thugs abusing an old man. He even suggested that he had it coming to him: “We didn’t do nothing. We got on the train and he was saying some racial slurs. I don’t know why they did what they did. I just recorded it because it was funny.”

The CTA is asking passengers to help identify the men in the video.

  1. @Max-1 ~ Cops didn’t teach them that behavior! It’s behavior like this, that needs to change, and there will be less deaths at their own hands and by cops. Jeez! SMH

  2. This is a type of anarchy and lawlessness. Talk about bullying, this is type of bullying and harassment are become epidemic.
How did our American youth get so out of control? The answers are right in front of our eyes, yet we continue to ignore the signs and reality.
    >We have taken God out of our homes and communities–no 10 ethical commandments to live by, no values
    >Selfies–Me, myself, and I attitudes
    >Destruction of marriage and its rightful place in society and responsibility to children
    >Poor Parenting–kids allowed to raise themselves and make their own decisions.
    >Lack of parental discipline–allowing kids to watch want they want, come and go as they want (no family curfews), do what they want
    >No discipline in the school–the people getting in trouble are the teachers, not the students
    >Education is not appreciated or worked for
    >Too much given rather than worked for, therefore no appreciation for anything earned through hard work.
    >Youth today think they are “owed” whatever they want–welfare attitude.
    >No respect for elders or those who are in need
    > TV, movies, many books, music, internet, games and other technology are feeding our children more and more garbage.
    >No respect for police or any community service workers.
    > Court system, jail system–letting thugs off easily
    > Corruption in our political system.
    >General public ignoring problems and doing nothing about it, because of fear.
    > The wealthy are not investing in our country, school systems, low income neighborhoods etc. instead they’re hoarding their money for themselves.
The more one is blessed, he/she is to share with others.

  3. While lax, absent and damaged parenting is the real cause of this inhuman behavior, a consumer driven American society plays a large role as well. Wall Street thugs don’t receive any jail time for robbing the country blind, misogyny is celebrated as macho, violence is glorified (be it against the ‘Muslim’ enemy or the football field opponent), bling is given higher priority than human life, the cat kicking video receives a million views and the cat cuddling video receives five, etc. Also, raising kids on violent videos, violent games, and self absorption and narcissistic technology produce the demented thugs who take pride in beating a defenseless person. What will happen to these thugs when they are caught and sent to jail? They will learn to be more hateful, less human and more violent. Welcome to the new America….

  4. “It takes a village to raise a child”

In America, that saying has been abandoned.

Children observe and behave accordingly. If there is no village to teach them, they will reflect what they see from their environments. Even the person, a villager, lol’d at the assault. A proper villager would have said STOP and defended the older man. Shame…

  5. trooper
    “But it could have been.”
    = = =
    Why smear a dead man?
Why attempt to indict a dead man who is not around to defend himself?

It could have been YOU! How about that? At least you’re alive to defend yourself from such baseless accusations.

  6. trooper,
quote me where I excused this behavior.

I’ll wait for the crickets to die…

  7. Max-1 – it appears the thugs already played the race card. And they learned this behavior from the police? BS. They learned it at home.

  8. The learned this behavior from the police?

I guess that is one way to try to explain it and excuse it.

Keep on making excuses for this savage behavior.

  9. Haz
The class of people you speak about aren’t the same class of people in authority they’ve learned this thuggish behavior from… POLICE.

Then again, I don’t understand why you keep referring to this as an exclusively black issue. That, to me, is playing the RACE CARD.

  10. No one will say the obvious thing: When this happens, it is more often than not young black males who are the perps. Sometimes not, but usually yes.

And even though it is obvious, guilty white liberals either ignore it, or make excuses for the behaviors so as to not confront the reality that an entire class of people have not been taught to behave properly.

  11. A lot of people think that America’s Funniest Home Videos is funny when it is mostly videos of people getting hurt – not funny at all, nor is animal abuse, yet people pay to see it in rodeos and circuses.

  12. Further proof that more and more kids are not being raised right, with good values and ethics in today’s society.

A generation ago, this would have been met with censure from his own contemporaries. But today’s it’s considered funny.

    Gotta go. It’s hailing.
