  1. Don’t mind me, just watching and learning! Mespo and Inga, I wanna be you guys when I grow up…I realize I have been doing it all wrong all along…Such ease dismantling and dismembering…!

  2. I just checked Russell Wilson’s Twitter page. He has the scripture 3:30 posted as inspiration. What a rube, right coach?

  3. I’m just trying to understand how this works. You can brag about coaching a “great kid” and his family being “great people” but vilify and ridicule their deeply held beliefs.

  4. Someone w/ those bigoted views should never be allowed to coach young people.

  5. I’m still wondering what the Wilson family would think if they read the vile and hurtful things the ol’ ball coach says about folks like them. They are an “infinite source of humor” to you. Lovely and wonderfully condescending.

  6. Paul,
Sad when one is too proud to learn anything new because they think they know it all, and actually they actually don’t.

    1. Inga – at my age I am selective about what I learn that is new. I am currently taking a course in WordPress and another in Roman Architecture from Yale.

  7. Nick:

    “Haters gotta hate.”

Quite impressed by your choice of philosophical mentors but moving from the profound insights of Taylor Swift, what do think of this Katy Perry syllogismt on the human condition:

“You think you’re so rock and roll,
But you’re really just a joke.”

    Positively Aristotelian!

  8. Nick

Being a late blooming yid and former hard right Christian, I find myself praying for a softened heart of my adversaries.

If you believe in G-d, then you already capitulate that there are other life forms than us. If on diesn’t believe, then it is a capitulation of huma.s intelligently designing themselves…over time.

Either way, love can not spread upon others,

If you are looking down upon them.

Its a self fulfilling/ defeating philosophy.

  9. Nick:
“Atheists are some of the angriest people I have ever met.”
    **************

Really? I find them the happiest since they aren’t sweating the fire and brimstone stuff that the Christian crowd seems to stand petrified before. As an added bonus the “believers” are an infinite source of humor. (My fav: Touch the TV and I’ll heal you!)

Hey but if it makes you feel superior to believe that, go right ahead.

  10. Pithy is as pithy, ist do. None of U.S. here (and most cwrtainly not the error prone Professor) can lay claim to being experts in prose.

Emphasis is allowed in net realms.

    Banter maks for strange bedfellows.

  11. Paul, Paul, Paul, you are so not unique…or maybe you are..in a way that is less than complimentary. You obviously didn’t read anything at my link, but of course when one thinks they know it all, they have no reason to learn anything new.

    1. Inga – I absolutely did not read your link. You are right. Over time I have found your links to be a waste of my time. At no point have I said or intimated that I am unique. Although, I am of the opinion that all of us, in our own way, are unique.
