MSNBC Guest: “Nothing Says ‘Let’s Go Kill Some Muslims like Country Music”

2015-03-25-MSNBC-Now-LemieuxAs my children constantly lament, I have long been a fan of country music. Accordingly, I could not resist this tempest in a teapot over at MSNBC where the network has had to apologize for the comments of Ebony.com senior editor Jamilah Lemieux who was mocking the statement of Senator Ted Cruz that he switched from rock to country music after 9/11. Lemieux quipped “nothing says ‘let’s go kill some Muslims’ like country music.” Yikes. Lemieux’s comments came on the MSNBC program “Now with Alex Wagner” and she appeared with Michael Steele and Joan Walsh. Lemieux added, “Fresh from Lynchburg, Virginia, so he obviously doesn’t want to be a polarizing candidate, he wants to bring people together. That’s absurd.” This would be akin to saying “nothing says ‘let’s go kill some cops’ like rap music.” As a country music fan, I will only note that country music is far more likely to be singing about your typical Cheatin’ heart than your Chechen rebels. Visiting host Ari Melber did note at the time “Well, but I mean, there’s plenty of country music that doesn’t have that message.” Melber later ended “We have a programming note. A few minutes ago on this program, a guest made a comment about country music that was not appropriate, and we want to be clear this network does not condone it.” In the end, it was a joke, folks. Country music will survive. After all, we know how to say goodbye to those who do not appreciate us. . .

  3. Given that their audience could fit in a phone booth, I don’t really care about MSNBC. It says a lot about NBC News that they put out such a trashy leftwing freak show. MSNBC is what NBC News would be if they didn’t have to care about ratings or show evidence – however bogus – of being objective. Its also interesting that the guy running MSNBC can deliver incredibly low ratings and low quality talk shows yet still have a job – in fact there’s no evidence of his job even being threatened.

    Ebony.com senior editor Jamilah Lemieux delivers a racist rant typical of racist organizations like Ebony and the NAACP (By the way, if she is so desirous of things African, such as an African name, why does she persist in America and why doesn’t she return to Africa, as the Hebrews return to the “land of milk and honey” under the great leadership of Moses not Martin Luther King, her continent/country of origin? The answer is that Americans made America great and wealthy and she wants America’s greatness and wealth; handed to her on a silver platter – and they are getting it, aren’t they?).

    Awards based on race are definitively antithetical and unconstitutional. Just

    like other all redistribution laws/programs.

    Neutrality was the point of American Freedom and Free Enterprise without

    governmental interference.

    “Immigration” doesn’t occur to obtain neutral freedom, racial invasion-

    immigration occurs in order to parasitically and illegally obtain “free stuff”

    while American brains are in neutral.

    Did anyone notice or reveal that this woman is a racist delivering a racist rant? Ebony and the NAACP, as examples, are racist organizations by definition.

    These African and allied hyphenates SHALL stop using the R- and W-words (Racist/White for those of you in Rio Linda) when referring to Americans. Does a rational person call a Frenchman a “beige?” That is the truly egregious violation here. That “ourselves and our posterity” are no longer accurately and succinctly referred to as Americans as an insult, contempt and a malicious slight.

    America and Americans need to turn up the Country Music, which is the music of this country, and end the counter-culture campaign of “fundamental transformation” through “dilutionism,” or diluting Americans out of America by massive “immigration,” which, of course, is not the immigration intended by the Founders, but actual and literal anti-American invasion of incongruous and unassimilable foreigners.

    God forbid that Americans wake up.

    Seriously? The very premise of PMSNBC is counter-culture freak show contrary newspeak, aka “spin.”

    The fundamental goal of PMSNBC is “dilutionism,” to dilute Americans out of America, in order to make the losers of history into the artificial winners, without rationale or coherence, other than jealously and the irrepressible ability to covet what the winners have.

    The American thesis of Freedom and Free Enterprise without governmental interference requires that individuals live with the life outcome that they achieve which including, but not limited to, acceptance or rejection by other groups.

    Deal with life. Cope with life.

    Whatever you have is enough.

  16. This woman is just one of the many bigoted black commenters who are a staple of MSNBC. They have a papable hatred and disdain for white Americans so they cheerfully spout memes about them that would be cause for a firing squad if it was about black people.

    It is what you would call black privilege.

  17. The call letters for the station in my town were/still are KATL (Cattle) and it played both kinds of music, Country and Western. 😉
