Just when I thought that I could not get more depressed about humanity, Fortune Magazine released its second annual list of the “extraordinary men and women.” The greatest female leader? Taylor Swift. Not German Chancellor Andrea Merkel. Taylor Swift. She was just two below Pope Francis.
Fortune Magazine selected those people who “are transforming business, government, philanthropy, and so much more.” The list was (1) Apple C.E.O. Tim Cook, (2) European Central Bank president Mario Draghi, (3) People’s Republic of China president Xi Jinping, (4) Pope Francis, and (5)India prime minister Narendra Modi. Then at 6 comes Taylor Swift according to Fortune.
Fortune based its ranking on the fact that Swift “the highest-paid woman in the music business.” After all what has Merkel done? She does not have a single POPS song to her credit.
So anyway, Taylor Swift has made the businesses take note…
… They get to control HOW their message is populated and who pays whom for that phrase. Too bad Elvis is gone, his Blue Suede Shoes could have been a real money maker now…
Max, Although I don’t know Jesus personally, but I doubt he would have forced people to do things they didn’t want to.
Again, you miss the point. It’s not about being gay or religion. The images you posted show the stupidity of those people. You and I wouldn’t go there, but people should be left to their own to decide to or not.

Religion is a LIFESTYLE CHOICE…
Max, I decided it’s a waste of time answering questions posed by Squeeky. Her biases are so many and so severe it’s almost like arguing with a Mullah in Saudi Arabia.

Why does this scare you?

I’m sorry… who’s the one demanding the right to discriminate?
Not I. Yet, my concerns also apply to you and IN your favor.
I’ll wait for a Kosher Deli to refuse service to a Christian.
And the “RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION” outrage to follow…
Squeeky,
You demand answers from me?
A person who’s on record here advocating my death demand I answer her?
BULLCHIT!
Max, absolutely true. If Muslims would be demanding an ability to discriminate against Christians, we would be hearing a huge outcry. ‘Christians’ of a certain bent have given themselves a huge black eye here. The good fundamentalist ‘Christians’ are writing threatening letters to Christian churches who dare live their faith by loving their neighbor.
Airdog,
I’ll refresh your memory…
http://jonathanturley.org/2015/02/21/court-rules-against-washington-state-florist-who-refused-to-make-wedding-flower-arrangement-for-gay-couple/
Now, IF what Clinton signed is just like Indiana’s… then why did she lose, again? And to turn down a measly $1,000 fine out of principle? She said the decision will bankrupt her… A $1,000 fine bankrupts a florist? Who’s doing her bookkeeping? Heck, the order she refused could have been a profit for her… But nooooo. Maybe Jesus can bail her out w/ Caesar’s money?
@Max-1
You didn’t answer my question. Have you been hanging out with Ingannie??? If so, maybe you caught this bad habit from her.
Plus, again with the “consenting” adults. The 60 year old Christian baker is an adult, too. Does she have to consent to helping two people join in what to her is a sinful relationship???
Plus, if you quit link bombing, you would have time to read the law school article above and maybe understand the issue a little better.

I love it when “straight” people school gays on sex… Like they have experience with gay sex or something???
This isn’t about sex, although for gays it seems that everything is about sex.
It is about religious principles and the freedom to participate or NOT participate in religion. It is about being forced to participate against your religious principles in a religious ceremony (aka homosexual marriage) that in the eyes of the objector is a sin, mockery of a sacrament and is against their religion.
Would you have the butcher participate in a Santeria animal sacrifice if it were against his religion? Can we force the Kosher Deli to serve ham and cheese sandwiches? The Muslim owned restaurant to make BLT’s? NO. So why can we force the Christian business owner?
In reality, I could NOT care less if gays want to get married. I DO care about the First Amendment and the religious freedom of others being trampled upon.

I bring up Jesus because its the Jesus freaks pushing the pro-discrimination aspect. Why do I know this? If it was Muslims… you’d be creaming SHARIA LAW till your red face turned shades of blue.

Annie,
LOL… “Christian” kitties. Of course they could be lesbian. All I see is P^$$y…
Max, You can keep bringing Jesus up every time and it isn’t making your argument any stronger. You need to take religion out of it. A business should be able to reject anyone for any reason. The fact that the SCOTUS has ruled one way or another shows that we have lost our liberties. My view is they are wrong. Let the people choose if they want to support X business that has X views. Why does this scare you?

Business people should get to decide where they draw the line.

So in your mind a fetish (legally protected adult activity between consenting adults) is in the same category as an specifically noted illegal act preyed upon a minor whose below any age of consent?
Up next… apples are just like peanuts.

Just the ones you can support.
