The Islamic State is offered the world another horrific view of its enforcement of Islamic or Sharia justice. The Islamic extremists tosses gay men from a building in front of a large crowd. The men were held by their ankles and then dropped from the roof. WARNING: the photos at this site are highly disturbing.
What is particularly disturbing is the gathering of children to watch such religiously fueled hate and violence. Likewise, a Kuwaiti cleric has warned that that is a “gay worm” that makes non-Shiites gays. The Gulf states have said that they want to deploy a type of “gaydar” that detects homosexuals when they try to enter the country.
Well, IMHO the wedding cake type bullpoop and general sodomy worship that the West is doing right now is PART of what causes ISIS to do this sort of stuff. They are nipping all the gay crap in the bud in their territories. What is really ironic, is that ISIS is proportionately killing far fewer gays with their proclivities, than gay Americans are with their proclivities. Men who have sex with men will cause about 30,000 gays to get HIV this year. Sooo, while ISIS dumps a few gays off building tops, the gay “tops” will infect about 80 gay “bottoms” today in the U.S., and every other day this year.
The unintended result is that gays in ISIS territory will restrict their promiscuous activities, and thus not develop the gay HIV clusters that we have in this country. Sooo, by murdering a few, ISIS saves more gay men from murdering themselves. Isn’t that kind of a Zen thing???

Somehow lawsuits intended to destroy the businesses of those defending their natural right of conscience is acceptable in “civilized” society. I’m not sure how we can justify destroying people’s livelihood and in the same breath condemn the barbarians destroying people. Seems to be a very thin line to walk, but this is what we have come to expect when ALL rights are subject to the will of the majority.

Obviously you misunderstood my point: that you make similarly ridiculous comparisons is different circumstances so it’s highly amusing you recognize their inappropriateness. This suggests you do it knowing how wrong and offensive it is.

And someone missed Olly’s point that it is ridiculous to be so concerned about not getting a wedding cake baked for a homosexual couple while gays are being murdered by the ISIS animals. Sarcasm can be difficult sometimes.
We reduce regions of the world to post-apocalyptic war zones and then we complain when those war zones are later ruled by brutality.
News flash- reduce any society to rubble and brutality is the first stage in building a new one.

I didn’t read the article given the content warning. But it seems to me this is more like actual witchhunts than anything we’ve ever seen. Obviously there are gay muslims, but does anyone believe there is any particular standard of evidence these lunatics apply before pronouncing sentence? Literally anyone can be branded gay, especially anyone who tries to stand up for them.
The issue isn’t limited to gays or any particular group.
Maybe the best comparison is the Reign of Terror, or the Soviet Revolution.

This is a highly amusing criticism from someone who consistently lumps christian fundamentalists [who say mean things to gays] and lumps them in with Muslim fundamentalists [who drop them from tall buildings] in order to smear one group with the actions of the other.
Whether one wishes to approach it through a religious perspective or sociological, anthropological, psychological, or by way of any other discipline, ISIS is pure evil. The Nazis had lots of grandiose elements running through their routine but rendered down it was nothing but pure evil. The Germans could have stopped Hitler. Islam could stop this scum. Somehow Muslims are making decisions with their inaction. They have all the money, arms, and support of the West to do the job but somehow they just hide under those bedsheets.

That sort of comment illustrates, fairly accurately, one of the things that is wrong with the US. We discuss, debate, express, seek legal redress, and evolve. ISIS is from another millennium, another species. There is no comparison but for that comparison extremists might find effective. There are more important things about which to rant and rave.
And in this country we want to “drop off a building” the business of anyone that won’t bake a cake to celebrate a gay wedding.
A Jesuit may or may not have said: “Give me a child for for his first seven years and I’ll give you the man”. Exposure to religion while young will influence one’s attitude and behavior for life, for better or worse.
Gaydar, christen radar, infidel radar all the same. God forbid they find a Jew. Why has Hamas in Gaza Strip start firing rockets into Israel again after devastating 2014 retaliation?
Fly over and flush. Its a pirate territory. And, by the way, with pirates and terrorists you do not need a declaration of war to combat them. Read the Constitution. Islam as a religion needs to castigate these ISIS forces or forever be catagorized as part of the same mob. This can start here in America. We have muslims here. Stand up. Speak out.
