A McKinney, Texas police officer has been suspended pending review after the posting of a videotape where he draws his gun and manhandles a group of teenagers outside of a pool party. The officer has been identified as Cpl. Eric Casebolt and he is shown being verbally and physically abusive toward young people who are not clearly doing anything unlawful.
The pulling out of the gun is a rapid escalation in a call over a dispute between a mother and a girl at the party. The McKinney Police Department’s Facebook page states that officers responded to a “disturbance” at the Craig Ranch North community pool at 7:15 p.m. It added that the juveniles at the scene “do not live in the area or have permission to be there.” It further says that people failed to respond to orders and officers struggled to “gain control of the situation.”

Casebolt,40, is a 10-year-veteran and serves as a vice president of McKinney’s police union. He received an award for “Patrolman of the Year” in 2008. The Washington Post reports that he is an instructor at Executive Self-Defense and Fitness and has a website that heralds his “ strong working knowledge of human behavior” and “experience in the use of all levels of force.” As is often the case, people have collected various pictures of Casebolt though the one dressed as an Indian chief at a party seems to be the favorite. That is part of the reality of the world of social media today.
Do you consider this level of force to be justified?
BamBam, lol, no. Tomatoes don’t ripen in Wisconsin until the end of summer.
I. Annie
Did you grow that? Lol!
BamBam, it’s a total fabrication, which is not surprising.

Speaking of a “good woman.” Today is our 38th anniversary. We are going out to dinner. On 6/11/77 Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown. My old man was a lover of horse racing so we made certain there was time between to ceremony and reception to watch the Belmont. Actually, everyone wanted to watch. My old man was @ the Belmont when Secretariat won the Triple Crown.
Nick
Congrats to you and your wife on your anniversary. Most couples never it make it that long. An accomplishment, especially in today’s climate. A mixture of luck, fate, destiny and a whole bunch of other stuff thrown into the mix to make it happen. Many more to come!

You are cracking me up, Nick. Your wedding day and your priorities required working in a horse race.
Well the Belmont is always one of the best in my opinion.
Congratulations and many more to come.
BTW, I think you are exactly right. If a couple cannot fight fair and move on there is not much hope for it to last.
bam, The disagreement I was referencing was on how women should be equally responsible for their behavior vis a vis drinking and dating, w/ the problems that combo presents. I am chuckling because I forgot about the guarding of children disagreement we had. That was prior to the women’s issue. I will take you @ your word you are not angry. I have my doubts, but you seem like an honorable person and I will always take an honorable person @ their word and leave it @ that. So, as far as I’m concerned it is over. I’m really good @ saying my piece and letting it go. I’ve been cross examined HARD on the witness stand, and then had beers w/ the attorney that evening. I have played football and baseball against friends, hitting them hard, and then forget it as soon as the game is over. I hope that is what happens here. You’re a good woman. Now, don’t be surprised if someone else chimes in on this. That would be dishonorable.
BFM, Thanks. The analysis by the expert comports w/ other analysis I’ve seen done on how the cop handled the situation. at this point, I have a hard time understanding the grinding and gnashing of teeth. The cop resigned. WTF else do people want? Maybe a pound of flesh.
Nick
Seriously, I have no recollection of any thread about women/dating/drinking/dating. For your own reference, check it out. It wasn’t me. I’m clueless as to what you are referencing.
Nick
Your theory about women, who hold grudges, doesn’t hold water. I don’t recall disagreeing with you on any thread regarding the topic of rape. I do recall, however, disagreeing with you on an article regarding parents needing to guard their youngsters more closely. That, I do remember. I don’t remember you, as you put it, KICKING MY ASS. My life experiences differ greatly from yours, so I have a different perspective on things. Not wrong, just different. Please don’t claim that I am still angry about something I barely recall. I’ve made no subsequent references to our exchange or indicated any residual anger toward you. Seriously, where do you come up with some of this stuff?
For anyone who might be interested here is a vidoe from WAPO in which an academic criminologist discusses Casebolt’s actions in the 7 minute video we have been discussing. The discussion is only about 3 minutes and worth the time in my opinion. There are also some other videos which follow including one by a spokes person for Casebolt.

Wade, yes I know, lol, no worries.

“Wait a minute. Are the police back on their heals. Are the police in a huff because citizens are telling them they have to obey the law too.”
Police are back on their heels because they were arrested under the claim that they had made an “illegal” arrest when they found a repeat habitual criminal who had an illegal weapon. A knife that was proven to be illegal and caused one of their trumped up politically motivated charges to be dropped. So they were indicted for just doing their job at the direction of the same States Attorney who is kowtowing to the mob and hanging them out to dry.
Police are back on their heels when a Michael Brown Protester who would fit right in with this blogs chorus of cop haters murdered two officers sitting in their patrol car protecting a school.
Police are back on their heels when stop and frisk is abandoned and when he asked a question of a skell instead of tossing him against the wall that skell pulled out a gun and shot him dead.
Police are back on their heels when every interaction that is filmed and edited and posted to inflame the anti police hysteria in such a manner that it is not worth it to do anything at all. Why risk your job, your pension and the safety of your family? It is just not worth it. It is much easier to turn a blind eye to the problem and let it sort itself out. You can always just write a report about it afterward. Waddayagonnado?
I am old enough to have lived through the 1970’s in New York. That was how it worked. The cops just drove by and didn’t get involved. They let people shoot it out and then just wrote it up. Pro active policing came in under Mayor Giuliani where the cops put the clamps down on the savages who were rampaging in the streets committing 2000 murders a year. Almost Chicago numbers. Now that is all going to change.
They are going to let the little things go. Soon enough they will let the big things go. That is the reality.
The cops are back on their heels. Soon enough the savages will have their boots on your neck. You will look around for help. It won’t be there.
Every town a Baltimore. It is in the cards.
Annie
Assume you know 4:01 is not addressed to you.
The crap? Don’t bother to oppose it. It is only worth mockery. We laughed at Kreskin because he was a fool.
Nothing different here.
Oops! LOL!
Write to Turley.
.
I didn’t delete you. I mocked you. It’s so easy
Wade, intensely personal assertions and assumptions, with absolutely no basis in reality. And IF he actually knows such personal information about other commenters that is darn creepy, why would anyone be so nosy about other commenters to delve into their personal lives to such a degree? He throws out enough drek to cast suspicion on other commenters to see if he can get some of this dirt to stick. It’s underhanded and vile and really should not be allowed. He tends to engage in this behavior when JT is distracted or out of town, it never fails. He thinks he can get away with it because he doesn’t use the name of the commenter he’s aiming it at, but we all know exactly what he’s doing.
I’ve seen a couple of black parents from Florida interviewed. They are outraged their principal lost his job for merely saying what he thought about this cop on Facebook. Liberals run the Education Industry. And as we know, liberals love to control speech. And, they are all buttercups.
good to see that remarks about masturbation and plastic dolls are beyond the pale. Maybe Kreskin will take note.
Annie
Once he puts on the puffy Kreskin bonnet, he becomes the Great and Terrible Oz. He sees and knows all and if we just clap REAL hard we can fly to Nevernevernickyland and live a life free of cults and love of Mao.
BamBam kicked the storytellers a$$ really good. I have a soft spot in my heart for her for that despite her recent comments, lol. Good work BamBam!
