A McKinney, Texas police officer has been suspended pending review after the posting of a videotape where he draws his gun and manhandles a group of teenagers outside of a pool party. The officer has been identified as Cpl. Eric Casebolt and he is shown being verbally and physically abusive toward young people who are not clearly doing anything unlawful.
The pulling out of the gun is a rapid escalation in a call over a dispute between a mother and a girl at the party. The McKinney Police Department’s Facebook page states that officers responded to a “disturbance” at the Craig Ranch North community pool at 7:15 p.m. It added that the juveniles at the scene “do not live in the area or have permission to be there.” It further says that people failed to respond to orders and officers struggled to “gain control of the situation.”
Casebolt,40, is a 10-year-veteran and serves as a vice president of McKinney’s police union. He received an award for “Patrolman of the Year” in 2008. The Washington Post reports that he is an instructor at Executive Self-Defense and Fitness and has a website that heralds his “ strong working knowledge of human behavior” and “experience in the use of all levels of force.” As is often the case, people have collected various pictures of Casebolt though the one dressed as an Indian chief at a party seems to be the favorite. That is part of the reality of the world of social media today.
Do you consider this level of force to be justified?
According to some reports the police were called because two of the trespassers were having a fist fight. But I am sure that is just fine.
The police should have issued a warning to anyone who did not live there or have a guest pass. They would be given a reasonable amount of time to leave or they would be arrested for trespassing.
This not unusual. If you go to the beach at the Jersey shore or the Hamptons you have to have a pass or the cops are called and you are told to leave. This is the same thing.
Another report is that a resident of the Association….a young mother with children was cursed at and threatened. There seems to be many conflicting reports. The fact remains that the residents and taxpayers should be able to control access to their own pool. Just like the rich people in the Hamptons or Malibu.
You can choose to believe that these were innocent yutes having an ice cream social before they arrange for college classes. That narrative always seems to fall apart. But keep pushing it.

According to the organizer, it was some local adults that started this by harassing the kids and making racist derogatory remarks. I guess it’s the object of the racism that is the problem, in your world?

Thank you for the compliment, but I can’t take credit for coming up with “feral black.” It’s really Taleeb Starke’s term from his definition of “nigger” as a “feral black person with sociopathic tendencies.” You can find it on page 7 of his book, “The Uncivil Wars.” I don’t like using the N word, so I just use “feral black” instead.
I bought the book, and maybe you should too, unless you are afraid of having to confront your own erroneous beliefs.

Because these are black teenagers , the officer needed to use foul language at them? Wow. Many of those kids were from that community.

The swarming of the officer as he ‘grounded’ the girl in the yellow bikini was an ‘adrenaline rush’ for the officer and if he saw the guy in the blue shirt move his hand to his left rear pocked/waist band from his peripheral vision and pulled his gun due to that, he might be able to explain what he did, just then. However, the officer was clearly out of control for most of the time on the video. He ordered kids to sit down and leave at the same time. The reason he went after the girl when she was complying with his instructions most obviously had something to do with what she probably said. That a remark from an adolescent who is following orders would necessitate that sort of behavior in the mind of the officer surely necessitates a review of that officer’s ability to control himself.
The officer was out of control for most of the time. The other two officers were seen to be creating a presence and serving a purpose. The officer that lost his cool performed unprofessionally and clearly needs some anger management work.
The first move in establishing respect for the police is the police respecting the public. This officer couldn’t have been more disrespectful in his language and actions.

Nothing.. It means nothing, if you are shot dead by illegal weaponry or beat to death because the “yutes” didn’t understand pretty please and decided to to a gang bang kick down on your head.
Context is also important. How you act at a cocktail party full of hipsters…….or how you act in the middle of a biker bar gang fight. Here is a hint. You don’t act the same way. Context.
