With Malice For All: The Lincoln Project Unleashes Attacks On Lawyers Who Represent The Trump Campaign . . . As It Runs A Commercial On The New Unity

The Lincoln Project is airing a commercial today celebrating the end of the politics of division and personal attacks as Twitter removed a tweet (with a skull-and-crossbones emoji) from The Lincoln Project that sought to target lawyers simply because they represent the Trump campaign. The crushing irony is magnified by the fact that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has called for liberals to start to assemble enemy lists of people who were “complicit” in the Trump Administration and the first entry was . . . you guessed it … the Republicans who founded the Lincoln Project. It is the reality of our doublespeak politics. Call it skull-and-crossbones civility.

The Lincoln Project called on its almost 3 million followers to hound and harass attorneys Carolyn McGee and Ronald Hicks for assisting the Trump team in its legal battle over mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania. The Lincoln Project tweeted, “Make them famous,” to its 2.7 million followers along with an emoji depicting a skull-and-crossbones.  This is the targeting of lawyers who are doing their professional jobs in representing a client and raising allegations of voter irregularities. The Lincoln Project is clearly trying to unleash a campaign of harassment to deter them or other lawyers from taking such cases. Rather than allow the courts to simply rule on such legal challenges, the Lincoln Project is trying to scare off the lawyers.

Lincoln Project tweet (FNC screenshot)

Twitter stated: “The Tweet referenced is in violation of the Twitter Rules on abusive behavior. The account owner will be required to delete the violative Tweet before regaining access to their account.”

At the same time, the Lincoln Project is airing a commercial of how we can finally “put people before politics” as they pursue people who are supporting Trump in court.

In the meantime, the members of Lincoln Project are being moved from the resistance to the reactionary category in the aftermath of the election. When asked about AOC’s call for a black list, Sanders surrogate Nomiki Konst helpfully noted that the first on the list would be people like the former Republicans in the Lincoln Project. She said that those people like George Conway are the “perfect examples” of people to be cancelled despite their work against Trump. That did not take long. After spending millions in support of Biden, Knost and AOC are calling for all such figures to be listed and held “accountable.”
The contrast is evident across the political spectrum as leaders herald Biden as the “healer” while denouncing Trump supporters. Former first lady Michelle Obama denounced “tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division.” Media figures have called Trump supporters racists and compared them to Nazis after the election while rejoicing that the era of personal division is over.
Lists are being compiled. The Trump Accountability Project, led by staffers who worked for former Mayor Pete Buttigieg and President Barack Obamais making lists of Trump administration officials to hound them out of any employment opportunities.   Former Obama spokesman Hari Sevugan proudly tweeted “WH staff are starting to look for jobs. Employers considering them should know there are consequences for hiring anyone who helped Trump attack American values.
For those members of the Lincoln Project, it may be useful to remember the holds of our 16th President: “With malice toward none; with charity for all; … let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation’s wounds…”

  1. What really happened in Georgia when the water main reportedly broke causing a delay the election counting in the state?

On election night in Georgia President Trump was running away with the Presidential election, then suddenly it was reported that vote counting had stopped in Fulton County due to a water main break in Atlanta.

In response the only public records generated as a result of the alleged “burst pipe” that halted the counting of ballots in Atlanta (Fulton Co.) were a few text messages. These messages were with the Sr. Vice President of the Atlanta Hawks, Geoffrey Stiles, who called it a “slow leak” that was “contained quickly,” and he said the entire thing was “highly exaggerated.”

No repair orders or work orders or invoices from a plumber associated with this “burst pipe” were provided. Nothing.

Dzikowski also filed a similar request with the Fulton County Board of Registrations and Elections which resulted in no records being located per their response.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The New York Times on Tuesday evening said Trump has an 83% chance of winning Georgia.

    The New York Post reported:

A burst pipe has slowed the counting of absentee-by-mail ballots in the Georgia county that includes Atlanta by four hours — likely ruining any hope that the state’s election results will be known on Tuesday night.

No ballots were damaged in the mishap in Fulton County, which is home to a tenth of all Georgians, officials told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The water pipe burst happened in a procession center at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the report said.

“There was a pipe that burst in the room where we actually had ballots; thank goodness that none of those ballots were damaged,” county election official Dwight Brower told the paper.

Results will now “be later than what we would like it to be,” another election official told the paper.

What really happened on election night in Atlanta and what was the real reason they stopped counting tens of thousands of absentee votes until the next day?

  2. Dead-enders, like those here – they’ll never admit Trump lost and probably cheat in golf just like their cult leader – are a small part of the nation.

“A new Reuters/Ipsos poll, which ran from Saturday to Tuesday, found that 79% of U.S. adults believe Biden won the election. Another 13% say the election has not been decided yet, 3% said President Trump secured his reelection, and 5% said they don’t know….”

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/poll-almost-80-of-americans-recognize-biden-victory-in-2020-election/ar-BB1aULrZ?ocid=msedgdhp

    1. You do know that you just posted “fake news” as lies and propaganda from Microsoft Network, aka Communist Party Headquarters, right?

    2. You linked MSN.com and expected anyone to take it seriously???

      LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  3. Election officials, staff and operators in key states, if not all states, must have their testimony put on record.

    Will they commit perjury?

  4. The “fake” Biden victory is “too perfect” according to Shiva Ayyadurai, PhD., MIT.

    It’s the algorithm, stupid.

Were they in China, all the officers, staff and operators who corrupted the Michigan vote and other election data would be immediately convicted of state “corruption” and executed.

  5. TRUMP’S LITIGATION: A STATE BY STATE SNAPSHOT

So far Republicans have scored no decisive victories with these lawsuits. But the mere filing of these suits creates the perception of activity.

    PENNSYLVANIA: Extended Deadlines, Observers

The Trump campaign and many Republicans have seized on the time it has taken for officials to count ballots as a sign of something fraudulent happening. But the lawsuits they have filed have not borne that narrative out.

Thus far, the campaign has scored a few wins in court but none that will have an effect on the result of the state. A state court, and separately the U.S. Supreme Court, ruled that local officials must segregate some ballots in case deadlines that were extended by the secretary of state are found to be unconstitutional.

It’s unclear how many ballots that will be at this point, but experts are extremely skeptical it will be anywhere close to enough to overturn Biden’s current 45,000-vote lead in the state.

MICHIGAN: Unfounded Claims of Lack of Transparency

Similarly, in Michigan the Trump campaign has tried to allude to improprieties in a major city in a state it won in 2016, but lost this year. In Michigan’s case: Detroit.
The campaign’s claims have focused on an alleged lack of transparency in the vote-counting process, but in two cases, judges have not been swayed.

“This court finds that while there are assertions made by the plaintiffs that there is no evidence in support of those assertions,” said Judge Timothy Kenny in denying a request to delay certification of election results.

“On this factual record, I have no basis to find that there’s a substantial likelihood of success on the merits as relates to this defendant, nor am I convinced that there is a clear legal duty on behalf of anyone who is properly before this court to manage this issue,” said Judge Cynthia Stephens in denying a separate request to stop the state’s vote counting.

Still, the Trump campaign says it has more evidence to come regarding the elections process in Detroit. Two voters filed suit against the City of Detroit and its elections commission, alleging a number of crimes on the part of election officials. The suit includes an affidavit from an elections employee who makes a number of claims that have been disputed by city officials.

    ARIZONA: Baseless Sharpie Conspiracies

A rumor, which has been debunked by the Department of Homeland Security, still led to a lawsuit by the Trump campaign in Arizona.

The campaign alleged that some voters had their ballots incorrectly rejected because they used Sharpies to fill them out. It’s a claim that went viral on social media, despite officials insisting it was not true.

“Don’t promote disinfo! Stop spreading #SharpieGate claims,” said Chris Krebs, the director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

The agency debunked the claim on its Rumor Control website, which fact-checks election misinformation.

Republicans in the state dropped the Sharpie lawsuit Saturday but then filed a separate suit alleging other votes in the state were incorrectly rejected.

GEORGIA: No Evidence of Late Ballots Counted

A Georgia judge summarily dismissed a Trump campaign lawsuit last week that alleged ballots received after a 7 p.m. Election Day deadline were mixed in with legitimate ballots, according to The Current, a nonprofit newsroom in Georgia that partners with NPR member station Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Republicans in the state based their allegations on testimony from a Georgia GOP poll watcher who was subsequently unable to provide any evidence.

“The court finds that there is no evidence that the ballots referenced in the petition were received after 7:00 p.m. on [Election Day], thereby making those ballots invalid,” Judge James F. Bass wrote, in dismissing the case.

NEVADA: Rejected requests to stop machine verification, processing of mail ballots

In Nevada, another state Biden seems to have won by a fairly thin margin, Nevada Republicans filed a lawsuit that, had it been successful, would have slowed down the vote-counting process.

The Trump campaign and the Nevada Republican Party claimed that “irregularities have plagued the election” in Clark County, the state’s most populous county, without providing evidence. They argued that the county should not be able to use a machine to verify signatures, but federal Judge Andrew Gordon rejected the request.

The Trump campaign also earlier sued unsuccessfully to stop the processing of mail ballots in Clark County.

    1. Okay, since you apparently have nothing to worry about, and are certain that Biden has won, there’s no need for your wall-of-text, that btw, no one is going to read. It’s NPR, for god’s sake.

USPS Whistleblower Denies Washington Post ‘Bombshell’ Story: ‘I DID NOT RECANT’

A U.S. Postal Service worker in Erie, Pennsylvania, who has said he heard evidence of election tampering denies he recanted his statements after The Washington Post published a story saying he did.

“I am, right at this very moment, looking at an article written by The Washington Post that says that I fabricated the allegations of ballot tampering,” Richard Hopkins said in a video statement published Tuesday by Project Veritas with the title “I DID NOT RECANT.”

    2. REALLY unfortunate we cannot trust the FBI, who should be helping to ‘true the vote’. Wray must go, and the FBI needs complete reorganization and suggest changing the name too.

      1. The Democrats house of cards is falling. Good to know!

        https://www.wfyi.org/news/articles/hill-joins-other-gop-ags-in-case-against-pennsylvania-supreme-court

“Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill has filed an amicus brief with the United States Supreme Court arguing the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overstepped its authority.“

The case brought forth by the Pennsylvania Republican Party against the state’s attorney general alleges the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision to allow voters three additional days to prove legally cast ballots violates the state legislature’s ability to oversee elections.

States are responsible for running their own elections, but this case largely depends on the court’s interpretation of Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution.

Hill joins attorneys general from five other states—all are Republicans. Indiana’s Attorney General-elect Todd Rokita, also a Republican, says he supports Hill’s filing in the case.

Hill asserts the case has an impact on Indiana.

“When we see courts in other states cross the line and take over that process and the potential impact that may have on the wishes of Indiana voters, we believe it is appropriate to take action,” he said.

Hill says because of that and allegations of voter fraud he does not accept Joe Biden as the President-elect.

  6. Even an Aussie can plainly see what democrats are blind to.

And you guys still want to pretend Santa Claus is real?? Absolutely hilarious!!

“Take Pennsylvania, a very, very critical State … Biden, it is now clear, received tens of thousands more votes than there are registered Democrats in 11 counties.”

“For example, in those 11 counties, Obama and Hilary Clinton averaged between 233,000 and 256,000 votes. Biden received 313,000”.

    https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_6208935799001

    Nothing to see here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Uh…Anonymous, you don’t have to be registered as a Democrat to vote Democrat. Trump has been very unpopular, and was predicted to lose. If he hadn’t lost, that would be remarkable.

      1. The election, like you, is a fraud.

Hillary never conceded and you have spent 4 years spreading your manure on this forum telling us as such

        Buckle up cupcake.

      2. Natacha, Hillary out-performed Biden across the board…except in a handful of blue counties, in a handful of blue states, by virtue of late-night ballot dumps. Hillary crushed Biden everywhere except in these few blue counties.

If you don’t find this suspicious, then you are in for a really uncomfortable shock when you learn that Santa isn’t real.

        1. That is simply not true. Biden, so far, has won 5 million more votes than Trump. Hillary won 3 million more. The two situations are not comparable. But, you Trumpsters must continue to believe–facts be damned. More people voted in this election than any in recent history. It’s like clinging to a toothpick, thinking it’s a log, while a raging flood sweeps you downstream.

          1. “That is simply not true. Biden, so far, has won 5 million more votes than Trump.”

Yes, Biden is leading the popular vote if you count fake ballots, I agree. It’s also not relevant.

Now, go to any swing states, and compare Hillary’s votes to Biden’s votes, then ask yourself…how did Hillary outperform Biden EVERYWHERE except in a handful of blue counties, by virtue of late-night ballot dumps?? In these few blue counties, Biden CRUSHED Hillary’s numbers. And for the record, Biden also crushed Obama’s numbers.

If you don’t find this suspicious, then you are in for a really uncomfortable shock when you learn that Santa isn’t real.

          2. “More people voted in this election than any in recent history”

            And dead ones too

            😉

  7. Pompeo Expects “Smooth Transition” To “Second Trump Administration”

State Department And Pentagon Rocked By Trump’s Denial

Mr. Pompeo can often be sarcastic, particularly when speaking to reporters, but the State Department made no effort to clarify if he was joking. Asked later on Fox News if he was serious, he did not say. “We will have a smooth transition,” he said. “And we will see what the people ultimately decided, when all the votes have been cast.”

His comments provoked a backlash from career diplomats, including criticism of his glib tone and outright concerns that the Trump administration would try to steal the election. But Mr. Trump congratulated him later on Twitter: “That’s why Mike was number one in his class at West Point!”

The delay in acknowledging the results has left American embassies in limbo. At least some embassy officials have been told to steer clear of any efforts to help Mr. Biden with foreign leaders who want to congratulate him, as they normally would during a transition. Diplomats said they could not even begin enumerating the successes of the Trump administration for fear of describing it in the past tense.

Some ambassadors sought to straddle the line of neutrality even as they pointedly did not recognize Mr. Biden as the victor. “It’s been a hard fought race that has shown us the American spirit of both grit and resilience,” Robert “Woody” Johnson, the ambassador to Britain, said on Twitter. “Nothing in the history of America worth achieving has ever come easy.”

Other envoys echoed the president’s allegations of voter fraud. “Please don’t disenfranchise me and my fellow voters in order to win at all costs,” Carla Sands, the ambassador to Denmark, said on her personal Twitter page. By way of evidence, she posted a screenshot of a State Department website that could not track her absentee ballot.

In extending his purge of the Pentagon on Tuesday, Mr. Trump replaced three more policy officials with loyalists. Some Defense Department officials worried that the replacements could be more amenable to striking American adversaries than their predecessors were.

James Anderson, the acting under secretary of defense for policy who was at odds with the White House, stepped down and was effectively replaced by Anthony Tata, who became “the senior official performing the duties of the under secretary of defense for policy,” as the announcement put it.

Mr. Tata, a retired Army one-star general who has called Islam “the most oppressive violent religion” and referred to former President Barack Obama as a “terrorist leader,” withdrew from consideration for the top Pentagon policy job in August amid opposition from both Republican and Democratic senators. The president also installed Kashyap Patel, a former aide to Representative Devin Nunes, Republican of California, who played a key role in helping Republicans try to undermine the Russia investigation, as chief of staff to the new acting defense secretary, Christopher Miller, adding alarm at the Pentagon over moves to stock the department leadership with loyalists.

Mr. Trump’s allies said the president was justified in fighting the election results even if he was not successful, citing what they deem illegitimate court decisions expanding mail-in voting.

Edited From: “Fighting Election Results, Trump Employs A New Weapon: The Government”

    Today’s New York Times
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

For decades the U.S. has counseled foreign leaders to accept election results. But now our military and diplomatic corps are being sucked into Trump’s denial of this election. We are most certainly entering uncharted territory here.

This is ‘not’ comparable in any way to Bush v Gore. And anyone seeking to make that comparison is willfully ignorant. In that election, Al Gore’s Popular Vote lead was only 500,000. Biden’s current lead is close to 5 million!

    1. Even Al Gore is saying that every legal vote must be counted. Apparently he is no longer a democrat.

  8. (music to the tune of My Country Tis of Thee..)

    Our Trumpeter is …a chunk!
He lives out of his trunk…
    Don’t tread on me!

    Land where our fathers fried…
    Land where pilgrims lied!
    From every beach side..
    Let Trumpster croak!

  9. Trump has gotta go.

    (Music)
    He’s a Trump.. he’s a chump…
He’s a bump all the way.
    From his first hotel…
    To his last dying day!

  10. It’s vile to attack lawyers for representing an unpopular client in a professional manner. An organized media campaign that does so takes the vileness to a new level. I don’t recall anything like that ever happening before.

It strikes me as a prima facie violation of 42 USC 1985, part of the Ku Klux Klan Acts.

As for the idea of employers discriminating against Trump Admin personnel on account of their service in government, I think that may violate some states’ human rights’ laws (probably the most liberal).

  11. Every human has bones. And we all have skulls. To denigrate either aspect is a dumb thing.

  12. Here you go again, Turley, trying to normalize wanna-be dictator Trump. His occupancy of our White House is a dark chapter in American history, replete with racism, xenophobia, misogyny and setting up prison camps for migrant children all exacerbated by the shameful end due to Trump’s narcissism and Republican syncophants. The latest chapter has Trump not only refusing to accept the results of the election, but requiring federal agencies to create budgets, Pompeo, as Secretary of State, insisting they are preparing for a Trump second term, firing people in the Pentagon and other agencies, and deploying Trump loyalists, all to undermine Biden’s chances of success. Plus, he ordered the GAO to not allow Biden funds, office space, computers, telephones or other assets to begin the transition: also, no confidential briefings, no vetting of potential staffers and agency executives. The GAO is not supposed to take orders from Trump, but they are doing so anyway. All to massage the massive ego of a complete failure of a man with serious emotional problems. Never lose sight of the fact that all of this is to defeat the will of the American people. Biden is now ahead by over 5 million popular votes. Meanwhile, the pandemic continues to set new daily records. None of this is normal. None of this is acceptable. It is, in fact, un-American. The rest of the world can’t believe what they’re seeing.

The lawyers representing Trump and his campaign are doing nothing other than perpetrating falsehoods to give Fox, Breitbart and Limbaugh something to argue to the disciples, something to keep them hoping that somehow Trump didn’t really lose. All for no good reason other than to assuage Trump’s massive ego, stir up the base, delay the inevitable and try to hamstring Biden getting a head start. Plus, they continue to fund-raise. There is no evidence of voter fraud, illegality, or any other valid grounds for filing frivolous lawsuits. The lawyers should be ashamed. The Rules of Professional Conduct do not conscience the filing baseless lawsuits, and so far, most have been dismissed as being without any factual foundation. Since the lawyers are not acting in good faith, they don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. They should be harassed and heckled. They’re trying to help defeat the will of the American people

The only way to root out these traitors is to create lists. How else to rid our government of people who are part of the cult of Trump and who don’t honor the choice of the American people?

    1. I got my list. 705 billionaires name on it. prolly 90% donated to Biden.

I guess we could spare Elon Musk since he actually builds things, and maybe a handful of others.

They say Trump isnt on the list anymore and he’s got a pass anyways./

The rest are on the list. Call it the S_aloth S_ar H_ere’s I_nteresting T_atiors list.

      –Saloth Sar

  13. “President Trump’s margin was reduced by a minimum of 138,000 votes.”

    – Dr.SHIVA Ayyadurai, MIT PhD.

  14. “If you look at Florida where things were done right, you can see that that’s how the rest of the country should have gone.”

“But they also used an algorithm to calculate the votes they would need to flip.”

“And they used the computers to flip those votes from Trump to Biden.”

“And from other republicans candidates to their competitors also. I think Doug Collins had the race stolen from him. I think John James had his race stolen from him.”

“When the votes are really audited and the real votes are counted, Trump will win.”

“He is the President and he is in charge of this country.”

    – Sidney Powell

  15. Great.

Now America knows the enemy has arrived and is and has been mobilizing.

America finally perceives its invasion and conquest.

    How nice.

At some point, America will repulse the enemy.

Americans hope that bit of brilliance doesn’t occur only after it’s too late…

and America becomes, not the land of the free and the home of the brave, but a communist gulag.
