We recently discussed the Politico poll showing that a majority of people were now calling for President Donald Trump to concede the election while a plurality supported such an immediate concession. We discussed that the number calling for concession would likely continue to increase and a new Hill-Harris poll would seem to support that view. Some sixty-one percent in the poll believe Trump should give a concession speech. At a minimum, some of us have called for President Trump to call for “ascertaining” the election for Biden so that a transition can proceed unimpeded. That would not concede the election, but it would be the responsible course of action. It is long overdue. Some of us called for ascertainment over two weeks ago.
The poll put the question a bit awkwardly. Instead of asking if voters thought Trump should concede, it asked whether Trump should give a concession speech. That was more ambiguous than the Politico poll that asked if Trump should concede immediately.
Seventy-one percent of Democratic voters, 60 percent of independent voters, and 53 percent of Republican voters said it is important for Trump to give a concession speech.
Again, I believe that it is important to have the allegations raised by the Trump campaign addressed transparently and expeditiously in the interests of national unity. I was critical of the press conference yesterday because of its heated rhetoric and unproven allegations of a global Communist conspiracy. Last night, Tucker Carlson also criticized the lack of evidence offered to support the global conspiracy. Again, this is not the time for “opening statements” but hard evidence.
There were plausible objections raised about over voting, conditional ballots, and other issues. However, those legal claims were repeatedly cut off by sweeping descriptions of a Communist conspiracy tied to Venezuela and Cuba. Absent hard evidence, more voters will be calling for concession. The rhetoric bordered on a rave at points and overwhelmed the specific challenges being planned in various states. It undermined the credibility of these lawsuits.
Last night, Giuliani continued with that rhetorical onslaught and claimed not only a national conspiracy but one directed by Biden. He also claimed evidence that a “large truck” was seen pulling up at 4:30 am into a Detroit voting center loaded with Biden ballots in trash cans and shopping bags. Such a violation would likely be caught on videotape and the conspiracy would involve a large number of criminal co-conspirators. It is time to see that evidence.
The evidence is overwhelming: the Dominion machines were programmed with an algorithm that adjusted the vote by 2-3 percent in favor of Biden, across all Dominion states. The Trump landslide–which those of us with eyes witnessed on election night–would have defeated the algorithm, so they stopped counting votes in multiple states, simultaneously, in the middle of the night, then added hundreds of thousands of Biden votes and reprogrammed the machines. Subsequently, the new algorithm “counted” votes in exact ratios: in some states, 51-49, in Pennsylvania, where the rout was most extreme, 60-40. So many bundles of votes were distributed in these exact ratios as to create A MATHEMATICAL IMPOSSIBILITY. Perhaps most damning, the hundreds of thousands of votes that materialized in Michigan were “counted” faster than the machines could go.
These facts and opinions are set out in an expert witness affidavit. Expert testimony is evidence, isn’t it Prof. Turley?

Again, Powell said yesterday that an affidavit about the alleged software created at the direction of Hugo Chavez to flips votes was appended to the suit filed by Lin Wood in GA. But yesterday, Wood’s suit was dismissed by Judge Grimberg. The judge didn’t find the affidavit compelling. He wrote “It is well established that garden-variety election disputes do not rise to the level of a constitutional deprivation.” What Powell is alleging is far from “garden-variety,” and the judge didn’t buy it.
Yesterday, Trump filed to have a recount in select counties ini WI, and he specifically did NOT ask that the counties using Dominion be recounted. How do you explain that?
To add to this, the fired head of Homeland Security Cybersecurity said there was no evidence of computer or software shenanigans and he was joined in this by 59 state level overseers of election security.
Good for the polling. It should not dictate moving forward. I think the process is almost over and I expect Trump to concede within a week or so. Until that time one way or the other, he has the right to pursue his options regardless of the polling. I wonder if this was reversed, would Biden concede?

But he is silent about the allegations raised **against** Trump: that he is trying to carry out a coup by convincing GOP state legislators to ignore the popular vote in states where the legislature is majority GOP but the popular vote went to Biden, and to instead declare Trump the winner for their state and designate GOP electors.
If he were patriotic, Turley would call for those allegations to also be addressed transparently and expeditiously in the interests of national unity.

Trump should follow the same process that he took part in when he was properly named president-elect the day after the election, the same day that Clinton conceded, and Obama began the process for smooth transition.

National poll average for 2020 was Biden at 5%. He is approaching that with many more ballots to be added from California and NY. Similarly, after the Comey announcement in 2016, Hillary went from 4-6% to 2-4%. She won by about 2%.
As in 2016, state polling was way off.
The poll would be impressive if anyone believed polls any more.
It really surprises me when well respected, supposedly highly intelligent people cite polls as if they actually mean anything. All a poll can tell you is what the polling organization wants you to believe. They’ve got about as much chance of accurately reflecting public opinion as using a magic 8-ball.

As for concession speech, I’ve already said that the President should concede and I’ve presented my reasoning; however, if anything that was presented in the news conference yesterday by the lawyers representing the Trump campaign is accurate then I understand why the President has not conceded.

It’s amusing that Professor Turley can’t find it within himself to denounce Trump himself for insisting that his lawyers conduct this witch-hunt of a Communist/Sioros/Biden conspiracy and parroting their cockamamie allegations in his tweets. Turley wants to get to the bottom of good faith investigations of innocent counting mistakes or even some trivial instances of actual malfeasance while blithely ignoring that the real goal of this voter HOAX perpetrated on America is to overturn the entire election and hand it to Trump! Already, one of the most influential Trumpian lawyers, conservative radio talker Mark Levin, is publicly disparaging Turley’s legal analysis. It is not going to go well with Turley at Fox if he does not obediently toe the line of this Guilliani scam that the fraud is so pervasive that Biden’s election is illegitimate. This is the end-game, and Turley, of course, knows it, but he dares not say it out loud lest he offends the Fox audience.

I don’t see putting any credence in polls when the majority of them were wrong in 2016 and again in 2020. Trump voters, conservatives and I suspect even independents will not answer these polls honestly if at all given the repressive environment here in the US. I’ve had people come up to me who lived through totalitarian regimes in the middle east whisper comments to me that the US has become like the countries they came from where they cannot speak their opinion out loud.
Many average Americans are living in fear because of the aggressive, inappropriate, uncivil and free-speech hating environment the globalist socialist type elites have created. Ask anyone from another country who has experienced socialism and they will tell you you don’t want it here in the US (I’m from Europe originally and I can tell you what it is like to have socialized medicine where you have to wait for surgeries while you suffer (my father had to wait a year for a surgery he could have gotten in a month here in the US), and give 50% of your meagre income to the Govt). It is a bevvy of empty promises and increasing control and limitation of freedoms (would you like to be organ harvested like the Chinese are doing to some of their ‘minorities’? I wouldn’t) .
The mainstream media is no longer news casting or reporting or true investigative journalism. They are all opinion-makers and celebrities. There is no freedom in a free press that censors its own and others. I understand the populace likes certainty and waiting to see the true outcome is uncomfortable, but we should afford it due process (while we still have a constitutional process). Yes, if Trump does in fact lose then of course we would expect him to give a concession speech, but until that time he should not concede.
One other parting thought. Hilary Clinton has always let her ego get the better of her and let things slip when she is gloating. The media only shows the clip of Hilary stating that “Biden should not concede under any circumstance”. However, what she goes on to say is that Biden will need a slew of attorneys and it will go on for a long time. Why does she say this? If she anticipated, like the mainstream media did, that Biden would win by a large majority, why did she anticipate an election process dragging on with attorneys? Makes one think.
