  1. There is a big gaping hole in Turley’s presentation to the jury about the media’s evil influence. CNN has 2.5 million viewers. 157 million Americans voted in the 2020 election. Trump has 88 million Twitter followers. Do the math. Turley routinely elevates CNN, Meet the Press, Chuck Todd & the NY Times to having comic book superpowers on the American public.

Bill Barr is the one who killed the Hunter Biden story before Election Day. Let’s recap what happened after Election Day. First Trump said voting machines switched millions of Trump votes to Biden votes. Then he said tens of thousands of dead people voted for Biden. Then he said truckloads of illegal ballots for Biden arrived at 3am. Then his attorneys said communists, Hugo Chavez & people in Germany used algorithms to throw the election to Biden. Then 18 Republican AG’s & 126 House Republicans tried to invalidate millions of mail-in ballots. Then Trump said there’s no way Biden received 81 million votes.

Now JT apparently believes Biden won because the media buried the Hunter Biden story.

If Professor Turley genuinely wants to test his theory, why not start by asking the 200 Republican governors, senators, national security advisers & federal prosecutors who voted for Biden to see whether they would have changed their vote if Barr hadn’t killed the Hunter Biden story. Go for it, JT.

    1. I do not own a TV and have not for 10 years. But I still suffer the CNN story, because it’s story line is THE story line, echoed endlessly by all center & left msm. You do not have to watch CNN, you can pick up it’s editorial view from any US newspaper. So the misinformation process is not about CNN per se but the circling of wagons. What Trump had to say about the election is a non sequitur with no bearing to your point. In fact the election was very close and various scandals might have changed the outcome. And yes to Turley’s point CNN is a strict propaganda by repitition outlet that indeed effects it’s desired ends by omission. Certainly speaking with my solid anti-Trump friends, they take Russiagate as CNN presented it: as gospel. So Turley is spot on.

    2. Twitter followers do not have the public clout that the network media does. The constant underplaying of anything negative about Biden, including the almost total blackout of the influence peddling and corruption of his son and family, backed by substantiated evidence, had an impact on public opinion, How could anyone retain even a scintilla of trust or respect for his administration or his media pushers.

    3. Now JT apparently believes Biden won because the media buried the Hunter Biden story.

You are admiting that the media buried the Hunter Biden story. . You do have a valid point.

      1. Just to be clear: the person using my name above is not me, as is clear from the avatar.

I don’t know why trolls get off on pretending to be a different commenter, but some clearly do.

  2. Yesterday evening, President-elect Biden delivered a highly effective speech after the Electoral College certified the vote count:

    https://www.c-span.org/video/?507284-1/president-elect-biden-addresses-nation-electoral-college-vote

Not long after, Tucker Carlson, speaking on Fox News, responded with a scathing rebuttal:

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-joe-biden-democracy-oligarchy-hunter-biden

This morning, Senate Chaplain Black and Senate Majority Leader McConnell (R-KY) recognized President-elect Biden and VP-elect Harris on the floor of the Senate.

If CNN is playing it too soft on the Biden family, is Fox playing it too hard?

Will flagship Fox commentators now firmly criticize President Trump for refusing to acknowledge President-elect Biden’s lawful victory?

  3. Or this:

    https://justthenews.com/accountability/russia-and-ukraine-scandals/monamholdstate-dept-feared-burisma-paid-bribe-while

State Department reported Burisma paid bribe while Hunter Biden served on board, memos show

State, DOJ officials reported to FBI concerns Ukraine gas firm made bribe to local prosecutors while under corruption investigation.

Just eight months after Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter joined the board of Burisma Holdings, U.S. officials in Kiev developed evidence that the Ukrainian gas company may have paid a $7 million bribe to the local prosecutors investigating the firm for corruption, according to interviews and State Department memos.

State officials believed the alleged bribe was paid ….

  4. I didn’t see this on CNN:

    https://justthenews.com/accountability/russia-and-ukraine-scandals/bidens-office-warned-2016-ukrainian-oligarch-who-hired?utm_source=daily-newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter

Biden’s office warned in 2015 that Ukrainian oligarch who hired son Hunter was deemed corrupt

Newly released memo shows U.S diplomat revealed DOJ assisted earlier effort to pursue Burisma Holdings chief.

Vice President Joe Biden’s office was warned in 2015 that the Obama State Department believed the Ukrainian gas oligarch whose firm hired Hunter Biden was corrupt and that some of the evidence supporting that conclusion had been gathered by the U.S. Justice Department, newly released diplomatic memos show.

Then-U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in Kiev alerted Biden’s top advisers …

    1. “justthenews” is John Solomon’s site. He’s the “journalist” who’s email to Rudy clearing articles before he published was released by Lev Parnas last fall. He’s also tied to right wing hacks and conspiracy salesmen Degenova and his wife.

      1. Prove Just the News to be wrong and not correct their mistake.

You badmouth anyone that disagrees. Solomon is one of the best investigative journalists we have and there are very few worth anything. He is. He provides his source material when the Washington Post provides an anonymous source that doesn’t exist or lied.

        1. Wapo *never* publishes on one source. Check out their journalistic guidelines. They’re readily available online.

          1. Wapo has little journalistic integrity, if any, where politics is involved. Based on that why would they even worry about following their journalistic guidelines?

Solomon very frequently posts his sources including transcripts and the like. He is much more trustworthy than Wapo. Not only that, but for the past number of years his record is astoundingly good while Wapo’s has been astoundingly bad.

  5. Happy to see you’ve pivoted from the fraudulent election talking points back to Hunter Biden, Jon. Back to pre-Ukraine days. Good times!

  6. Trump had tremendous positive effects in the middle east. Is Biden now going to destroy the progress made and put us back 75 years? The MSM still hasn’t given Trump adequate praise for his mideast policy.

ZOA’s Klein/Berney JNS Op-Ed: Biden Includes Many Countries in Iran Talks – But Excludes Israel

“Biden’s rush to discard common-sense negotiating leverage also endangers America, Israel and the entire region.“

“even left-leaning Friedman wrote, regarding Biden’s current plan, that it would be “unwise for the United States to give up the leverage of the Trump-imposed oil sanctions just to resume the nuclear deal where it left off. “

    https://zoa.org/2020/12/10441775-zoas-klein-berney-jns-op-ed-biden-includes-many-countries-in-iran-talks-but-excludes-israel/

    1. Barb, Trump set us back years on Iranian nuclear production and Netanyahu – who’s own intelligence agency, as well as ours, and the IAEA had all confirmed Iranian compliance with the agreement – has done everything he could to sabotage the agreement. Israel at this point is not a serious party to negotiations on Iran’s nuclear capabilities. That’s unfortunate, and it will probably take his leaving office to change that. The entire world has an interest in Iran not getting nuclear weapons, so this is not a regional issue.

      1. jf. Really? Wasn’t it a adopted in July 2015? Now, 5 years have lapsed. Iran is so much closer to building more nuclear weapons, TO ADD TO ITS EXISTING STOCKPILE OF 6 TO 8 WEAPONS.

        1. del, they are closer since Trump pulled out of the agreement, got nothing in return, and Iran began development again. As I noted, Israeli and US Intelligence and the IAEA, who has inspectors on the ground in Iran, all regularly confirmed that Iran was complying with the agreement. That means they were not developing nuclear weapons capability until Trump stupidly broke the agreement – and got nothing.

      2. You don’t know what you are talking about now and from your other posts it appears you almost never know what you are talking about.

You spout arguments over and over again that have already been disproven so I don’t want to waste my time trying to convince or correct you.

        Have a nice day.

        1. Barb, if you have anything of value to say, you should say it for others. This is not a PM exchange between you and I.

          1. “if you have anything of value to say, you should say it for others.”

OK. Everybody, gather around so I can say it to others as requested by Joe Friday.

Joe doesn’t now what truth is so he can’t state it. He spouts the same BS over and over again even though it was previously proven to be false.

Joe is a waste of time.

            Have a nice day

      3. With haredim voting for Netanyahu and his various party incarnations, there will be no change in Israeli policy towards Iran.

One can admire the Israelis for protecting their own SOVEREIGNTY

they will be the last “Western” country that ever does. The rest of us are totally under the influence of billionaires.

It pains me that Christianity has failed. I am not a cheerleader for either the Jewish people or religion. But I admire the group instincts, pluck and tenacity of Israel

Maybe at a late hour “the West” fka “Christendom” will take lessons in necessity from the sabras and learn how to survive, before we vanish into a grey slime of cybernetic global mishmash

I’m beginning to feel bad about Western antisemitism. Not because i feel sorry for Jewish people. But because it becomes ever clearer the West should have been studying them and imitating them and not whining about them. I guess most of what we needed to know was in the Hebrew Scriptures anyways, there before our eyes all along, We were just not clever enough to see.

American liberals will have no clue what I am saying. Jewish leftists might understand me but dislike it. They are clueless.

Netanyahu is the cleverest politician on Earth. Him and Xi Jinpeng and Putin. These men are true national leaders. They keep their governments strong and thus their nations strong. They do not suffer to be ruled by billionaires. That’s why the American media hates them, all three. Because billionaires fear the type.
Trump a strongman? He was not even close compared to these others.

America always gets someone lame in the office of ‘figurehead in Chief”
Who in America ever wants to be president anymore? The Boomers Trump and Biden are living out dreams from their youth. age gone by.
Trump found out the office of POTUS was a lot less powerful than he thought it was. And Biden is going to be an even weaker POTUS.
Obama found out too. The real power here is all in information industry and finance. He had to suck up to them, and boy he sure did.
Bush found that out too. He figured out what they wanted, when it was made clear, and he acted on it. Had an 8 year run servicing them.

Now, anybody with strong will and smarts wants to be a billionaire. Because that is who rules us, clearly

  7. “CNN has been hammered for its bias in burying or downplaying these stories. Recently, CNN was hit with a secretly taped recording of President Jeff Zucker telling CNN personnel to hit Trump even harder and CNN host Jake Tapper is heard complaining that the “rightwing is going crazy” on the Hunter Biden story. Recently, CNN analyst April Ryan lashed out at reporters using an embarrassing recording of Joe Biden and suggested that the confidential source should be identified.”
    *****************************
Well, what would you expect a trained monkey like CNN to do?

    1. No doubt Fox News management and even Mespo never talk strategy intended for only in-house ears and which might be mildly embarrassing if exposed. I know I feel much better knowing the purity of spirit of most attorneys and media programmers and personalities.

  8. DV,
I agree with much of what you say. It sounds like the conservatives you know are closer to classical liberals (I know folks like this, as well as conservatives that are also set in their comfortable ways).

I disagree that fairytales are lies, or even something that could be a bedfellow with confirmation bias (though maybe there is a deep, underlying similarity I’m not considering).

Preferring confirmation bias is a comfortable (or complacent) place to be, but it’s a bit different than why a child enjoys fairytales at bedtime. Snuggling in the covers next to mom or dad while listening to distilled archetypes that answer big questions and concerns of our souls is a far cry from settling in to a well-trod intellectual path that fails to wrestle with reality and painful, conflicting information that may ‘poke us in our axioms, as Jordan Peterson would say.

  9. Again, if they reported the news like Ted Koppel, they’d lose most of their audience. Zucker figures the way to salvage CNN is to grab the Daily Kos constituency.

  10. Trump was 100% correct. The MSM is fake news meant for trolls and those that have lost touch with their own senses.

  11. The Russian Collusion stories were not fake. The Mueller report did not say there was no collusion. And we do know there were multiple contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia, including the Trump team giving Russian intelligence internal polling data. One could argue that these contacts do not rise to the level of collusion, but it is wrong to say there was no collusion or the stories were fake. And the Russian interference in the election was confirmed.

    1. MollyG:

“…One could argue that these contacts do not rise to the level of collusion…”

No, unless the word has no meaning. It has no legal meaning and that is why it does not appear in the Mueller Report and is favored by the Trumpsters like Turley , but exchanging information, having multiple meetings with purposeful attempts to help each other is collusion.

      1. You are delusional? — Meanwhile in the real world Biden and his family have been cashing in selling out the USA to China (and whoever else offered some serious cash for them to funnel to “the Big Guy”) for huge money — we don’t need to have to dig around about what might be a meeting or whatever we can try and lie about as collusion where 40 Million was spent on a hoax that led to Hillary Clinton who set it all up thru her lackeys — the Bidens are real up front about their corruption as they have no fears of the Mainslime Media reporting on it or the corrupt DOJ/FBI doing squat

        1. Yeah, Georgia, all you need now is proof of what you hope is true. Same can be said for Trump and family, and he hasn’t even supplied tax returns.

“The Chinese government granted a total of 41 trademarks to companies linked to Ivanka Trump by April of 2019—and the trademarks she applied for after her father became president got approved about 40% faster than those she requested before Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 election, according to a new book by Forbes’ senior editor Dan Alexander.

On March 29, 2017, Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of President Trump, became an official government employee, joining her husband, Jared Kushner, as an adviser to her father.

The day before that appointment, Ivanka applied for 17 new trademarks with the Chinese government.

In early May of 2018, ZTE, a Chinese electronics maker, said that it had halted “major operating activities” after being penalized by the United States Department of Commerce for breaking sanctions and selling electronics to Iran and North Korea.

Yet, in mid-May, President Trump surprisingly reversed course when he indicated a willingness to rethink the punishment and vowed to work with Chinese President Xi Jinping to prevent the collapse of the ZTE, which employs 75,000 people, with Trump tweeting, “Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!”

That same month, May of 2018, amid tense trade negotiations between China and the United States, China approved seven Ivanka trademarks, according to Alexander’s book, White House, Inc.

Alexander’s book also details how “after Ivanka met with the prime minister of Japan, his country approved three trademarks for her business, in less than one third of the time it had previously taken, according to an analysis of data from the World Intellectual Property Organization,” and that Canada registered three trademarks following Ivanka’s sit-down with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Over a span of two months in late 2018, the Chinese government granted 18 trademarks to companies linked to President Trump and his daughter. In October alone, according to the Associated Press, China’s Trademark Office granted provisional approval for 16 trademarks to Ivanka Trump Marks LLC. The new approvals covered Ivanka-branded fashion gear, including sunglasses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as well as beauty services and voting machines. In January of 2019, China granted Ivanka’s company preliminary approval for another five trademarks covering child care centers, wedding dresses, and art valuation services. The applications were filed in 2016 and 2017. ….”

          https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/09/22/ivankas-trademark-requests-were-fast-tracked-in-china-after-trump-was-elected/?sh=353336b81d60

Let’s see if Jill tries to market clothes in China from the WH, and if so, let nail her. Let’s nail them all. OK?

          1. Joe Friday. Maybe you need to check a few other sources. Like the AP. All the trademarks were applied for in 2016 and released as approved.

“These trademarks were sought to broadly protect Ms. Trump’s name, and to prevent others from stealing her name and using it to sell their products,” Peter Mirijanian, a spokesman for Ivanka Trump’s ethics attorney, said in an email. “This is a common trademark practice, which is why the trademark applications were granted.”

In March of 2017, Ivanka shifted control of all company operations to Abigail Klem. In March of 2018, a decision was made to shut down the company.

          2. i welcome Joe Biden as POTUS. It will be however sad to watch when Silicon Valley has decided it’s time for him to retire and let Kamala take over.

Then the mass media starts whacking him like a pinata too. It will come. Give it some time, and it will come

Trump the bete noir prolly will sail into the sunset. He can see that he’s done, he’s still out there blabbering, his mouth will run nonstop even long after his plans and promises fizzle.

Silicon Valley defeated him. And Biden is a placetaker. They have their lady waiting in the wings to take over, Kamala

One day we will be wishing that Joe Biden stays well enough not to be forced into resignation.
Joe may signal the beginning of the end. Trump was perhaps a late stage vigor.

After Trump, Joe, it will be a fast descent into cybernetics, AI and robotic production, IOT, and the increasing irrelevance of labor. Unemployment worries will be assuaged with more handouts, maybe even white men will get a little stipend too. This is what Chairman Yang promised, after all! Decent hard labor for money will seem like a dream that used to be.

Then, they can dispense with all us useless CO2 emitters.

Remember, to get to that desired utopia of the “carbon neutral economy,” they need to kill off half the world population or more, and, also, reduce consumption (and thereby co2 emissions) among westerners– by a factor of 10!

Imagine life in the future, maybe 2-5 years out
if you survive the “sars-cov-2” and the upcoming “sars-cov-3” and the untested vaccines.

where you can only take your little electric car for a jaunt to the grocery store once a week, rationed in a “carbon emergency” declared by the state, similar to the “covid lockdowns,” and you’re now REQUIRED to buy everything on amazon or its equivalent. Because not only will you be stuck in an electric car but one that won’t be able to be driven very far! And what for anyhow, because they are intentionally destroying the restaurant business of this country and it has nothing to do with “Science!”

It has everything to do with the billionaire’s desired “Global Reset.”

they’re the enemy! strike at them while you still can

            Saloth Sar

    2. MG, do you really believe what you just posted? If you do, you need to leave this class just as fast as you can. You cannot be this brainwashed. But if you are, you cannot be this ill informed, brain fried, moron. Rather, just like a fish, you swallowed – hook line and sinker. By, and you have the right to vote? Now, that is what is wrong with America!!

    3. “The Russian Collusion stories were not fake. The Mueller report did not say there was no collusion.”
      *************************
“We did not address ‘collusion,’ which is not a legal term,” Mueller added. “Rather, we focused on whether the evidence was sufficient to charge any member of the campaign with taking part in a criminal conspiracy. It was not.”

Kinda hard to make something out of a topic not addressed. Oh and it’s presumed innocent until proven guilty not the other way ’round. Ask Joe Biden.

      1. The claim by Trump, Turley, and others here Mespo is that Trump was found innocent of collusion. No, he wasn’t, and it isn’t a legal term as you correctly point out. That still makes the claim false and indeed the Mueller Report and the Senate Intel Comm Report confirm multiple instances of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, as well as confirming the intent of Putin to intercede in our election in order to help elect Trump. Facts!

    4. Sorry, but the Mueller report explicitly states “the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities”. Mueller did not have evidence to support the “obstruction of justice” charge, but Trump and his team were totally cleared of collusion.

      1. Joe, the full quote:

“The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities..

Mueller in his Congressional testimony explicitly said that the report did not exonerate the campaign of collusion and that the term was not what they concerned themselves with. Their concern was “criminal conspiracy”. They did not exonerate the campaign on that either but stated they did not have proof it occurred. The report noted that they were blocked from evidence on that charge, including 10 specific instances they referred as possible obstruction of justice attempts by Trump personally.

    5. No well-informed person looks to the Mueller Report as a source of information. There is no evidence anywhere of even ONE contact between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. The campaign did not “give” Russian intelligence internal polling data. There was no GIVING, only SHOWING, because Manafort thought it would impress Kilimnik and demonstrate what a big swinging d— Manafort was. And the Mueller team itself (in discovery responses) said it had no evidence that Kilimnik was affiliated with Russian intelligence.

      1. Plenty of well-informed people look to the Mueller Report as a source of information. If you think that looking to the Mueller Report as a source of information implies that someone isn’t well-informed, that would be a No True Scotsman fallacy.

There’s more than one example of contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. See, for example, the contacts between Papadopoulos and the Russian MFA: https://www.justice.gov/file/1007346/download

You admit that Manafort had contact with Kilimnik, and the Senate Intelligence Committee stated “Kilimnik is a Russian intelligence officer.”
        https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/report_volume5.pdf

Why don’t you link to the document you say shows “the Mueller team … said it had no evidence that Kilimnik was affiliated with Russian intelligence”? My guess is that you’re misremembering. No way to know unless you link to it and we can see what they said in their own words.

        1. Those are stupid, fallacious appeals to authority. There’s no reason to put an intermediary between yourself and the facts unless you want to reach the wrong conclusion. And that document you linked to specifically says it does not involve any contacts with the Russian government. You are an idiot.

          1. Both the Mueller Report and Senate Intel Comm document meetings between various Trump campaign personnel and Russian agents. If William has “facts” he thinks counters these fully expert and studied sources, please, let’s see it.

            1. Those reports do NOT document any meeting between Trump campaign personnel and Russian agents. They may assert that they do, but when one looks at the facts — like the “Statement of Offense” Committed linked us to — one sees that the facts show the reports’ claims are bogus.

You CANNOT point to even ONE meeting between a member of the Trump campaign and a Russian agent. We just saw Committed fail in her efforts; now we can watch you do the same.

  12. I have exercised portion control, and it feels good. I don’t watch or listen to any mainstream media. I don’t need to be fed by others who think I need to eat jello 3 times a day.

  13. The economic pressure on news organizations has been growing, and now desperation has set in. The news has become hardcore confirmation bias because confirmation bias sells. This economic pressure has been especially a problem for leftwing news groups because there are more of them and because radicals are far more intolerant than liberals or conservatives (while I’m on it, there’s really no such thing as progressives, folks; they died out with my grandfather, and he would have called today’s “progressives” just your garden-variety radicals or communists).

I tried using Politico and The Hill as legitimate liberal sources, but legitimate they are not. Pretty much the same as the rest. I can forgive editorializing to some extent, but deliberate censoring of major news stories is an abomination, so bye-bye.

Interestingly, Fox News has tried to broaden it’s editorial reach, but they’ve been punished by some conservatives for deviating from the party line, so no news group is immune. I have to admit, I was disappointed with their election desk the night of the election. That idiot showed obvious bias against Trump. I actually wondered if idiot wasn’t trying to sabotage his own network.

I read Professor Turley’s blog because he permits me to escape my bubble. I don’t always like what he has to say, but I usually agree with him anyway, even though I’m probably much more conservative than he. That’s how it used to be with liberals and conservatives before America became a third-world country.

  14. I see this differently than does Professor Turley.

His notion the Media is “embarrassed” is a straw man argument from a Good Man that does not want to admit the truth to himself about what is going on in this Nation.

He is right when he states the Media is not only not reporting the stories but is doing so intentionally.

Where I disagree is their motive as he describes it.

This is an intentional subversion of the Election Process in this country and we are seeing a hostile takeover of the Federal Government by the Democrat Party.

They failed to install Hillary Clinton in 2016, and they were not going to lose in 2020 no matter what it required.

Now….we are in the final stages of the opposition to that effort as we see legal battles being fought.

As the various States and Courts to include the Supreme Court refuse to allow for independent third party audits and investigations of the Election process….we are being thrust towards a conclusion no one wishes upon us.

It is not the “Winner” that is crisis but rather the destruction of any faith the People have in the “process”.

That is a mortal danger to our system of government and to our Nation.

The Media has not only failed us….but did so with malice and express intent.

This shall not end well and I put my money on a bet that there shall be violence as long as the process is seen as corrupt and Election Boards do not prove to the People it was not….and cease thinking their telling us without any basis of proof that it is.

We have lost faith in the Election Process, in Government, in the Media, and in our Judicial system…..who thinks that is not a powder keg with a smoldering fuse?

All it is going to take is for the Election Boards and Courts to refuse to prove the Results are fair, accurate, and secure…..and the media should be demanding they do.

Thus far….they are doing the opposite.

    1. Steve:

      Agree.

      But different perspective.

All thinking people know that the lefty media lies; these thinkers have found alternative news sources.

The audience of CNN et al consists of lefties who do not want the news. They are people who prefer lies that reinforce their world view – Trump bad; Pinko good.

When we look at this column, we have to recognize that there is an agreement between CNN (who tacitly promises to lie) and soft minded people who want to be lied to.

We know that CNN are propagandists.

What it says about the lefties who want to be lied to is sad – they deserve our contempt.

      1. Steve and Monument, CNN – along with the WSJ, NYTs, WaPo, Ap, etc – reported accurately who was probably going to win the election, reported the election results accurately, reported on various parts of the Trump campaign’s collusion with the Russians before the Mueller Report and GOP led Senate Intel Comm Report, both of which confirmed them reported on the Ukrainian QPQ phone call, confirmed by Congressional testimony, and now has reported on the fact that the election is over and the various legal challenges would likely fail – 1-60, last I looked.

You 2 seem mesmerized by the Big Lie campaign coming from Trump and without any evidence that he was exonerated of collusion and he won the election. Whatever media you’re following is telling you what you and Trump want you to hear.

        Seek help guys.

        1. NOTICE TO EVERYONE ON THIS BLOG!

          FYI: Read this.

Joe Friday, your gig is up and you have been exposed.

You all can choose to openly engage with this Joe Friday, who is likely a foreign agent, if you like; as for me there will be no conversations just a rhetorical hammer beating down a foreign agent troll.

          1. Steve what are you off your meds or something? A foreign agent? This is crazy person talk. Step back and take a break maybe. This is coming off super-unhinged.

            1. Dirt McGirt wrote, “Steve what are you off your meds or something? A foreign agent? This is crazy person talk. Step back and take a break maybe. This is coming off super-unhinged.”

It’s clear that you spewed that nonsense without reading the what was contained in the link I provided. I provided actual evidence not super-unhinged craziness. You don’t have to agree with my opinion but you should at least read the supporting evidence provided.

Evidence: the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.

I supported my claim with supporting evidence, what evidence do you have to support your claim that I’m super-unhinged or crazy?

              1. Yeh I’M the one spewing nonsense. As for my evidence I’ll just say Res Ipsa Loquitur. The thing itself speaks.

                1. Dirt McGirt wrote, “Yeh I’M the one spewing nonsense. As for my evidence I’ll just say Res Ipsa Loquitur. The thing itself speaks.”

There we have it in a nut shell folks, facts don’t matter to morally bankrupt internet trolls like Dirt McGirt.

It’s been an “enlightening” conversation Dirt.

                  Good day.

                  1. Steve Dude, do you have like, you know, any factual or logical points to make? This isn’t a school yard. It’s a law blog were hopefully serious people discuss serious issues, not just call each other names.

                    1. Some people prefer endless interpersonal drama to relevant conversation

This blog is cluttered up on the one side with that, and on the other side endless interpersonal drama aimed at the soon to be irrelevant POTUS Trump.
You have to dig to find the value.

How about people move on to subjects of coming relevance?
                      Just an idea.

                      Saloth Sar

              2. Dang! Steve must have proof of my assignment from the Kazakhstan government and that’s what he linked to.

                Curses! The jig is up!

          2. Translation: “Joe Friday” is laying it on me with points I can’t refute. Help!”

As to “foreigh agents”,you’re the guy for the team trying end Democracy in the US, not me.

          3. Steve:

friday is a foul mouth troll who spends a big portion of his day on Turley’s blog.

And then he says things like: “Turley GFY”!!!

Not only does friday have bad manners, but he is ungrateful.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you; Turley gives friday’s life meaning and friday insults him.

The only reason that I comment on friday is that he is Exhibit A for the argument that most of the lefties who post are beneath contempt.

          4. Steve, Joe Friday is a happily married man. He reminds us weekly. That some of us have banged his wife and she confessed to not remembering her husband’s name, while Joe spins phantasms on this blog from sunrise to sundown, are inconsequential to Joe. His wife though: she really likes that Joe is on the internet fighting his windmills. She gets to have her own fantasies and none of them include Joe.

Carry on Joe. Your dearly evoted wife of 55 years awaits us all

        2. Reported on Trump Campaign’s collusion with the Russians BEFORE the Mueller Report?

Did they admit they were completely wrong after the Mueller Report clearly stated that there was no collusion.

Last time I checked that part of the Mueller Report and his testimony before Congress shot your assertions squarely in the butt.

A quick google search would show you dozens of news articles…including all sorts of Leftist Media that had that Headline….which they had ho choice but to use.

How do you get around that small kernel of truth?

          1. Ralph, you’re not very bright. The Mueller Report confirmed multiple instances of Trump campaign collusion with the Russians before the 2016 election and then the Senate Intell Comm – led by the GOP majority – confirmed them again in a report released in August. You claimed to know it – doubtful – asked if I read it – I did – and asked me to quote from it – I did. You bailed. Here it is again.

            https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/report_volume5.pdf

Multiple news sources reported on many of these instances before the Mueller Report was released. If you don’t actually follow the news, why are you commenting on it?

            1. Joe…..remember the saying….”The Facts Ma’am….just the facts!”?

Your citing of the Report by link then stating that your point is validated within that Report means nothing as a credible point.

As I have pointe out re that Report….only selective reading by one imbued with bias could result in a position you offer.

A critical read of each line of text….sentence by sentence….yields contradictions to your offering.

I suggest you do that and get back with us if you can set your bias aside long enough to do so.

Lord knows you owe that respect to those who spent hours laboring over the wording they included in that Report.

Within a couple of pages you can find ample examples of that which I mention….assuming you can comprehend what is written.

              1. Ralph. I quoted extensively, and can even discuss specifics. You’ve done nothing.

                Case closed.

            2. Joe keeps on flaming Trump just like some people keep on flaming joe. None of that flaming adds value.

How about people call a truce on flaming and instead focus on subjects of relevance?

              Saloth Sar

            3. The Mueller Report did not confirm any instances of collusion. It’s all BS, Joe. Why are you so zealous in this regard? What policy goal do you hope to achieve by supporting the Left in this episode of mendacity? Do you want one centralized government of the entire world? Are you motivated by anti-white animus? Are you more of a general misanthrope? Do you have some special, super-lucrative grift that the election of Biden will facilitate?

          2. But the Mueller report did not say there was no collusion. And we do know there were multiple contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia, including the Trump team giving Russian intelligence internal polling data. One could argue that these contacts do not rise to the level of collusion, but it is wrong to say there was no collusion.

        3. We are giving too much time to Joe Friday. He is clearly not for truth, honesty, and integrity. If he is not a paid foreign troll, he will soon be recruited.

          1. Translation:

“I’ve got nothing to do counter facts, including a Senate Report written under the authority of the President’s own party.”

      2. monumentcolorado wrote, “The audience of CNN et al consists of lefties who do not want the news. They are people who prefer lies that reinforce their world view”

I think you’re missing something that’s rather important, the people that willingly consume the left’s propaganda are intentionally feeding their bias and most don’t know that what they’re being fed are lies, they believe it right down to their bones and if you ask them, they will tell you that they do not prefer lies and that Fox News and the Republicans are the ones lying. Facts are irrelevant to them. Bias has literally made them stupid and destroyed their ability to think critically.

        1. Check the trance on this hypnotized snowflake!

Don’t tell him Dear Leader lost until some de-programmers show up. Could be dangerous for him.

        2. Absolutely correct. Those people don’t think they are being lied to by CNN etc., on the contrary, they are positive that they are on the side of right, and yes, their bias has destroyed their ability to think critically no matter the evidence if their own two eyeballs. I feel we are almost at the point where that ability has been so thoroughly destroyed, people would literally believe the sky is green with enough persuasion. This has all trickled down all the way to grade school, where the NYT has paid boatloads to be the exclusive newspaper for official school programs.

I am experienced enough to know better. Someone tell me how any of this could possibly end well, as I just can’t see it. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and the DNC are the new papacy in which people like Soros are ‘activists’, rather than globalist megalomaniacs. Someday we may see pictures of the likes of him hanging in classrooms if we don’t course correct very soon.

      3. Do you honestly believe the viewers of CNN and MSNBC tune in every night thinking that they are hearing lies? They tune in because they are being told what they want to hear. Why do they believe the Russia collusion story is true? Because they were told it was true for 3+ years.

          1. Pull yourself out of the past Joe. The Democrat leadership strategy of death by a million cuts worked. Trump lost. Now get on with life minus your bete noir.

Joe will soon have to deal with nonstop hate from progressives. Joe will mark the beginning of the end, as the left takes over. It will not be the boogeyman socialism, it will be a mixed economy system just as we have now, managed ever more by Silicon Valley instead of Wall Street, with the Federal Reserve playing the role it has long played, which is, to enrich billionaire masters even more than they did last year.

The people will have sops, welfare, more restrictions of every kind, digital amusements, more porn and VR games, to keep them home and amused. Life in the three dimensional world will pass ever more into the hands of those who already control it, the billionaires, and the people will be narcotized into oblivion.

Oh, and culled. The herd will be culled. This will all make way for the desired “Carbon neutral economy.”

This will be a Stalinesque 5 year plan, executed on every pretense that the Silicon Valley controlled billionaires can gin up with their total control of information. Watch as it unfolds. Perhaps you will like it! If you survive.

By the way. You know what kind of effective therapeutics they give you in hospital if you get covid? None. Not ivermection, not hcq plus, not cortisone. Not the things that work. Because, they don’t want people to recover. They actually want us to DIE.

They hook you up to a ventilator to make people think they are doing something, and then give you the morphine as you suffocate comfortably. Seen it happen again and again this year.

            That’s “health care” these days.

          2. The collusion narrative is 100% false. Accept it. The lies worked, and the bad guys won. Now move on, and stop gaslighting us.

      4. Monument, I think that you are right. I find it interesting that many of the CNN-MSNBC fans are ignorant of news that doesn’t fit their mindset or alternative reality. Instead, they point to Fox News and Newsmax, as well as independent reporters, as being extreme conspiracists or similar, without ever looking at those sites to get alternative POV.

The conservatives I know (some of whom dislike Trump) seek news from multiple outlets and reporters, even those that are old-school liberal such as Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi (not to mention Turley) and present POVs that aren’t always conservative. Why anyone would count on getting their “news” from just Facebook or Google results or CNN-MSNBC, is beyond me, except they take comfort in being lied to just as a child loves a fairy tale read at bedtime.

    2. It’s Trump’s lies and GOP support for him despite his endless gaslighting that are destroying trust in the MSM and wreaking havoc on society.
