WHO Head Tedros Supports Corporate Censorship to Combat the “Infodemic”

World Health Organization (WHO) head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus appears to be expanding the scope of his global effort from the pandemic to what he calls the “infodemic.” Tedros weighed into the conflict between musician Neil Young and podcaster Joe Rogan and streaming giant Spotify. Tedros supported Young’s demand that Rogan be censored by the company for his views on the virus and treatments. It was a particularly glaring position for Tedros after he and WHO have been repeatedly accused of supporting China in early efforts to scuttle investigations into the lab theory on the origin of this virus.

Joe Rogan — who hosts “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast — and has been criticized for questioning whether young healthy people should get the vaccine due to its low fatality rate for younger people. He was also criticized for praising ivermectin, a medicine used to kill parasites in animals and humans despite objections that it is ineffective against the virus.

As will come as no surprise to people on this blog, I have long opposed efforts to cancel Rogan or others for their dissenting views on the virus or its treatment. In the last few years, we have seen an increasing call for private censorship from Democratic politicians and liberal commentators. Faculty and editors are now actively supporting modern versions of book-burning with blacklists and bans for those with opposing political views. Columbia Journalism School Dean Steve Coll has denounced the “weaponization” of free speech, which appears to be the use of free speech by those on the right. So the dean of one of the premier journalism schools now supports censorship. Free speech advocates are facing a generational shift that is now being reflected in our law schools, where free speech principles were once a touchstone of the rule of law. As millions of students are taught that free speech is a threat and that “China is right” about censorship, these figures are shaping a new society in their own intolerant images.

What is most distressing is to see health officials calling for censorship. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has been sued by animal rights groups over actual government censorship.

In this case, Tedros backed Young and thanked him for “standing up against misinformation and inaccuracies” around Covid vaccinations before stressing “we all have a role to play to end this pandemic and infodemic.”

He added “@NeilYoungNYA, thanks for standing up against misinformation and inaccuracies around #COVID19 vaccination… Public and private sector, in particular #socialmedia platforms, media, individuals — we all have a role to play to end this pandemic and infodemic.”

The “role” being described by Tedros is corporate censorship.

We have seen various journalistic and scientific figures banned for expressing skepticism over pandemic claims from the origins of the virus to the efficacy of certain treatments. For example, when many people raised the possibility that the virus may have been released from the nearby Chinese virology lab (rather than the “wet market” theory), they were denounced as virtually a lunatic fringe. Even objections to the bias of authors of a report dismissing the lab theory were ridiculed. The New York Times reporter covering the area called it “racist” and implausible.  Now, even W.H.O. admits that the lab theory is possible and Biden officials are admitting that it is indeed plausible.

The same is true with the debate over the efficacy of masks. For over a year, some argued that the commonly used masks are ineffective to protect against the virus. Now, the CDC is warning that the masks do not appear to block these variants and even CNN’s experts are calling the cloth masks “little more than facial decorations.”

There is an alternative. It is called free speech. Tedros and others can use their own freedom to denounce Rogan or disprove his claims. Otherwise, Tedros’ inclusion of the “infodemic” with the pandemic suggests that the same extreme measures may be justified in controlling viewpoints as viruses.

  1. I wonder what Neil Young thinks about the Truckers Freedom Convoy driving across Canada? It’s what Diktator Trudeau called a “small fringe minority” holding “unacceptable views”.

To be clear, what people are protesting is the MANDATES, not the vaccines. We are fighting FOR Freedom and against Force. Trudeau is calling this an “unacceptable view”? THAT is frightening.

The giant convoy of truckers will park their rigs in Ottawa until Trudeau backs down.

Interesting that Neil Young now holds views in support of censoring information, silencing “unacceptable” views, and forcing shots into arms mandated by the government?

Old man take a look at yourself!

    1. I believe the truckers began by protesting the utterly stupid MANDATES forcing them to wear masks in their trucks even while driving ALONE!

We The People have common sense. Some of us are using it to FORCE the Government to back off. Why? Because these mandates are NOT about “science.”

“Following the science” is now a euphemism for “Do what we say or else!”

These protests are FOR freedom, FOR liberty….and against force, against tyranny.

The “science” says there is no “public benefit” to the vaccine since it does not stop the spread –so it is a personal choice. You choose to get vaccinated if you determine it is best for you and your situation.

“Science” says that force-vaccinating 100 percent of the Canadian population (or the U.S. population) will NOT STOP THE SPREAD of the virus since these are “leaky” vaccines that do not “sterilize”! Virus still gonna virus!

“Following the science” now means follow the dictates of authoritarian douche bags like Trudeau….and Biden….and Macron, etc. Which should alert everyone that this is NOT about SCIENCE or the virus. Wake up, people.

    2. “. . . the Truckers Freedom Convoy driving across Canada . . .”

That protest is inspiring! (And, hopefully, coming to America, soon.)

Did you notice the support from those standing on the side of the roads, in freezing weather?

Don’t surrender. And don’t let those lying about your mission dampen your spirit.

  2. In the world of academia and science, it is dog eat dog. Research funding is scarce and those that hold the purse strings get to call the shots on many of the big studies. Corporate influence is ubiquitous and those that dare swim against the stream perish, especially if they want grants and funding.

If a researcher dares to “cross convention’s bounds” they will find themselves unfunded and unsupported.

The heart and soul of the scientific method is to question and verify, question the study’s construct, thoroughness, and give meticulous attention to assuring that the data was collected in a uniform documented, and repeatable method. Each of the sources must be combed through, scrutinized, before being cited. It takes time. When this is done, the material is distributed to distinguished researchers for reading, criticism and rewriting if necessary.

When that is complete, the authors must disclose their financial conflicts of interests and conflicts of influence. When the study finally makes it to the reputable journal, the authors must list their contact information so the the community of interest has a method of contacting the author. The publication must have a good reputation for readers to challenge the publication. Often the publication research is also presented as a poster at an academy of science where the author must make further defense of the material.

When I read a scientific study, I first go to the abstract and then to the discussion and conclusion. I jump to the final few paragraphs. I look at the conflicts of interest section and see who funded the study and what are the writers’ sources of sponsorship and payments. If there is a corporate sponsorship or if the author receives grants from the maker of a product mentioned in the study, I will read it but am on high alert for bias.

The best written studies will only achieve a “best fitting line” levels of confidence. Nothing in medical science is 100% certain, especially in fields of immunology and virology. The consumer of a scientific study eventually takes any “new” findings with a grain of salt. There is no such thing as “the science is settled.”

The point is to illustrate that “experts” do not have all the answers. It is refreshing when a spokesperson will say, “We don’t know for certain. This is our best guess.” When they venture beyond the known facts they are in danger of employing the SWAG method. (Scientific Wild A** Guess).

It is the job of the American citizen to question every form of information. Especially now. We would like to trust our most sacred institutions such as the FBI, DOJ, US Congress, Senate, White House, CDC and the WHO. Many of these institutions have veered away from their once pristine reputation of accuracy and dependability. Unfortunately, the consumers are drowning in a sea of information and misinformation, but the curious thing about this is that many will go only to two sources for their information: Google and Wikipedia. This a poor habit as both sources are selective and biased in what the consumer sees or reads.

I sat next to a Google engineer on a plane ride home a couple of years ago. He said, “We joke that the best place to hide a dead body is on page two of a Google search.”

In the recent past, we could turn to our institutions and to ethical reporters and media outlets for a solid, truthful report. Like Joe Friday would say, “Just the facts.” To feed the 24 hour news monster, once trusted media outlets require massive amounts of “dirty laundry” and gossip. They need sensationalism and have become nothing more than the old grocery store tabloids.

Our once trusted institutions have suffered scandal. It is not surprise that people are turning to other forms of information to try to make sense out of the tangle mess we are witnessing.

The answer to this dilemma is to train our young students and citizens in methods of critical thinking, critical reading instead of censorship. If something is truthful, it will withstand scrutiny. Censorship is a malevolent tactic to shut up a critic when there is something to hide. Our leaders have lost our trust.

    1. Research funding is scarce and those that hold the purse strings get to call the shots on many of the big studies.

Not really. Research funding is flush with cash. Always has been. There are literally hundreds to thousands of angel investors waiting in the wings for someone to approach them with a scientific idea that may prove to be a cure, a breakthrough, and a significant ROI to make them richer. Lack of money has never been a problem in our civilization. Trick is convincing them why your idea is worth their investment.

Medical researchers have to find their own funding sources. Once done, the university or research center gets their share for providing the facilities, instruments and overhead to conduct their research. The university isnt involved in providing funding. They have tons of ”genius” researchers clawing for their facilities, yet have no one to serve as an angel investor. Research triumphs come and go. What may be an eureka moment for one researcher and hence the university, is ripe for being turned on its head down the road, e.g. atherosclerosis as related to “bad cholesterol” (1990s) vs an inflammatory process driven by immune cells.

Corporate influence is ubiquitous and those that dare swim against the stream perish, especially if they want grants and funding.

Most breakthroughs today come from no name biotech companies. Big Pharma and corporations arent providing much of anything as to new ideas. To wit, Pfizer’s COVID vaccine isnt even Pfizers. A small outfit in Germany founded in 2008, by the name BioNTech, provided the brains. Prior to the COVID vaccine, they were a blip in research, founded by a husband and wife team.

If a researcher dares to “cross convention’s bounds” they will find themselves unfunded and unsupported.

      Actually, no. Read above.

When I read a scientific study, I first go to the abstract and then to the discussion and conclusion.

You dont know how to read scientific studies. If the abstract is enticing, the intro provides the frame of reference for the authors, the methods section is crucial, the results section essential. By then the reader can make their own conclusions, and perhaps read the discussion to see id there exists congruence, unless if the topic is beyond their comprehension, and then they read the discussion and conclusion sections. The list of references is also vastly important, the longer the better, minimum 100-150 references to be credible. An important section of the paper is where the authors come clean and admit the limitations of their study. The reader should already know just by looking at the methods and results sections. If the authors fail to state the limitations, when they clearly exist, their conclusions are worthless.

The answer to this dilemma is to train our young students and citizens in methods of critical thinking, critical reading….

As a population we are currently spiraling towards extinction on so many levels precisely because not even a minority number of Americans, say 33%, can demonstrate critical thinking and critical reading. Obesity/gluttony, sedentary lifestyle/sloth, declining fertility rates for decades, demolition of the family (extended and nuclear), have been trending forever. No sentient being could possibly think any of the aforementioned metrics result in anything good for society. Baby Boomers, step right up.

Additionally, if these critical thinkers comprised the majority, then Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Fox News, CNN, NYT, Alex Jones, Gateway Pundit, MSNBC, et al would have crumbled financially long ago due to lack of customers.

I have great hope in the individual. In our society? Nill, p value of <0.0005

      1. Hopefully next week that Federal Judge forces FDA & Pfizer to comply by releasing all the Data right now that they were legally supposed to have released when the FDA granted Pfizer emergence use authorization for their mRNA Gene Therapy around a year ago.

That way those that rushed in without any knowledge might better understand what may have been shot in the arm with, if they didn’t get the Saline Shot.

      2. Estovir,
You make excellent and important points and if I am not mistaken you are a medical researcher.

How one skims through a medical study before digging into its content, I suppose is a matter of personal taste, what is important, as you indicated is reading it thoroughly and critically and learning to recognize if it is a well-constructed study and see if the authors admit any weaknesses they discovered in the process.

When I think of corporate resistance in medical science, the names Marshall and Warren and their remarkable research comes to mind. “The opposition we got from the drug industry was basically inertia,” said Dr. Barry J. Marshall of the University of Western Australia, the other Nobel winner, and “because the makers of H2 blockers funded much of the ulcer research at the time, all they had to do was ignore the Helicobacter discovery.”

Cornell University Professor Emeritus, T. Colling Campbell, Ph.D. wrote the following, “I know that my journey in science took me in a direction I did not anticipate and a direction that invites challenge. My research experiences invite negative reactions from those who want to retain the status quo. I know, too, that were I not to have had tenure for the past 45 years, I could be, indeed would be, toast, no longer feeling free to interpret science the way that I believe to be reliable and useful for others.”

The percentage of tenured faculty has significantly declined in the past thirty years. State and federal subsidies have likewise trended downward putting pressure on universities to seek corporate and private funding. One can draw their own conclusions.

I agree completely with your comment about your hope in the individual and the lack of confidence in society as a whole.

        1. Here is a list of the top 10 blockbuster drugs in 2021. None of them came from government agencies (e.g. NIH, DOD) nor universities. Most drugs come from private enterprises. Small biotech companies provide the scientific ideas. Big Pharma provides the biotech companies, via partnership, the funding, the regulatory, legal, marketing, etc muscle. Some of these drugs, like Revlimid, were invented by small biotech companies (Celgene) but large Big Pharma companies like Bristol Myers Squibb, absorbed the smaller company….because they could. For example, Lipitor was not a Pfizer drug. It was invented by a chemist at a smaller company called Warner Lambert. Lipitor was so successful that Pfizer bought Warner Lambert then fired their employees.

          Universities are over-rated.

        2. Right now tripping over all the dead & injured Bodies across the world from the mRNA stuff has become impossible for the Govts/Pharmikia to keep covering up & millions of people have had enough of it.

& now last week they are coming for the 6 month to 4 years olds. Dead & Injured young kids everywhere should lead to interesting responses by Normal parents that can still ad 2+2. We’ll see I suppose.

Ethics of any type can have a heavy cost.

    2. Excellent. When you talk about research funding being scarce, I assume you are talking about the pots of gold provided by the government and a few other entities where research is being pushed in specific directions. Hence, the funding is only available in the PC direction of the day. There is loads of money available for those with great ideas that can both make and show the investors how, perhaps more today than ever before.

  4. Joe Rogan has been wrongly criticized…”He was also criticized for praising ivermectin, a medicine used to kill parasites in animals and humans despite objections that it is ineffective against the virus.” There is considerable evidence for the effectiveness of Ivermevtin.

Does anyone read clinical studies? Try these:

Conclusions: Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.

  5. Free Speech In The News:

Virginia’s New Republican Governor Sets-Up Tip Line To Report Teachers For ‘Divisive Concepts”

The executive order directs the superintendent of public instruction — Youngkin has nominated Jillian Balow, who previously held the same job in Wyoming — to review and remove “inherently divisive concepts”from those state resources and state curriculum (it’s not clear which curriculum the order refers to; individual schools typically choose their own curriculum in response to the state’s standards of learning). But in comments on Fredericks’ show about the tip line and in the executive order, Youngkin suggests the administration will work to “root out objectionable content from schools directly.

Talk about Free Speech issues; this one is turbo-charged! Yet Professor Turley, a resident of Virginia, has completely overlooked it.

Governor Youngkin’s tip line will allow any disgruntled student to go home and tell their parents they were ‘hurt’ by an issue the teacher addressed. Said parents can then call the tip line to complain.

Conservatives are kidding themselves if they don’t think liberal parents will be blowing the whistle just as often as Trumpers. Teachers will be caught between both political fringes in a climate that will make teaching the most thankless of professions.

Again, it’s peculiar Professor Turley, America’s foremost champion of free speech, didn’t dash off a column regarding this insanity. Which goes to show that Turley only cares about Free Speech when the ‘oppression’ is coming from liberals.

Social Media Users Ask ‘Who Is Neil Young’ After Singer Demanded His Music Be Removed From Spotify

On Wednesday morning, “Who is Neil Young” was trending on social media, with many users mockingly pondering who he is, while others expressed faux shock that he was still alive (and possibly rocking in the free world).

      Social Media’s Reaction: Neil Who?

Young may have expected the masses to rally around him this week, but that certainly wasn’t the response that he received on Twitter.

“NEIL YOUNG: I want all my music off the Spotify until they fire Joe Rogan. Spotify: OK. The World: Neil Who? Oh, him. Is he still alive?,” wrote Canadian radio host Mark Towhey (@towhey).

TV presenter Emma Kenny (@emmakennytv) was even more direct, writing, “How to fall out of love with Neil Young…..who is clearly suffering from delusions of grandeur! @joerogan @Spotify isn’t going anywhere.”

“Neil Young, who has 6,057,481 monthly listeners, thinks he has the influence to bring down Joe Rogan, who has 200 million people listening monthly,” pondered Harrison Krank (@HarrisonKrank).

Neil Young is boycotting Spotify, but his biggest hits are still available in Canada

Neil Young severed ties with Spotify this week, but for Canadian listeners many of his classic songs are still streaming on the platform.

“Heart of Gold,” “Harvest Moon,” and “Rockin’ in the Free World” are just a few of Young’s defining tracks that remain accessible on Spotify Canada nearly two days after a massive takedown of his music.

Their presence throws a wrench into Young’s passionate boycott of Spotify.

      The Canadian Press

      1. Estovir, yeah, Neil Young is old. So what?? He was big in the 70’s and he has a big ranch in Marin County.

In other words, he doesn’t need the money.

    2. So your side doesn’t want those parents protesting at school board meetings. And you don’t want them protesting via a tip line.

One might conclude that you don’t like parents who protest your cherished propaganda.

      1. Sam, even without tip lines, parents aren’t shy about complaining. Any teacher will tell you that a great deal of their time is spent responding to parents’ complaints.

        1. “Any teacher will tell you . . .”

Which, of course, is not the issue.

The issue is where do parents go to complain about the teachers peddling (racist) propaganda.

  6. Jonathan Turley has managed to confabulate the matter once again! This time regarding the origin of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus.
The virologists generally agree that the “lab origin” is highly improbable but of course would like more information.
But the “origin” makes little difference to the tremendous effort to create and reproduce effective vaccines. So “tempest, meet teapot” with now Jonathan Turley just serving as more of the cracked pot. Be better if he would stick to what he is expert in, defending accused criminals.

    1. Total rubbish. But that is to be expected from anything written by Benson. The only virologists who generally agree that the lab origin of covid is highly improbable are the virologists in the pockets of big Pharma, who have to lie. Benson, of course, totally ignores the massive efforts of the fraudulent-fauci to attempt to cover up his fraud. But for those seeking facts on the lab origin of covid, this is a good article to begin with: https://nypost.com/2021/06/06/damning-science-shows-covid-19-likely-engineered-in-lab/

      1. JFeldman believes something written in the New York Post about something which appeared in The Wall Street Journal. Oh dear.
Something about work co-written by a physicist no less. A physicist with a reputation for biting off more than he can chew about topics far removed from his area of expertise.
JFeldman has been led down the primrose path. He really fell for it.

        1. Leftists love to project their own endless deficiencies onto others, right DBBenson? What you say means absolutely nothing. You don’t like what people who know 50,000x more than you say about something, so you resort to the tired, boring leftist tactic of a mindless ad hominem. Fortunately, Americans are wising up to the outrageous lies that you hold so dear. A new survey shows 52 percent of Americans believe the virus came out of a lab, including 59 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of Democrats, while 28 percent said it was from an infected animal. I’m sure that you, no doubt, still believe in Fauci’s earlier lies, like this one: https://rumble.com/vp37dn-like-today-fauci-spread-dangerous-aids-misinformation-in-the-1980s.html. I’ve said many times that leftists are dupes, dopes, or dummies. But if you want to also prove that some leftists can be all three, please carry on.

            1. I don’t need to have the last word. I see that you failed to respond to the proven fauci-lies. You can pretend to deflect and dodge all you want. You’re an obvious fraud yourself. You fool nobody with an ounce of intelligence. And I’m not trying to convince you of anything. I know that you’re a programmed leftist and are incapable of any genuine thinking and facts send you into a panic. But what I would like to see is for you to get as many booster and clot-shots as possible. And I hope that fauci-fraud recommends that to his mindless followers, as I’m sure you immediately comply with whatever rubbish he inculcates you with. But pay no attention to the side effects, including the permanent ones, in case your programming didn’t fully anticipate those likelihoods.

  7. Get off your arse and go to the poll to vote. Mail in ballots can be used to steal your vote.

  8. See these two guy’s in the image. They are probably at Davos at the time, just a guess. But these two are agents of Klaus of the World Economic forum. Klaus bragged some years back that he is getting the world insiders to join his evil cult of the Great Reset 2030 agenda. One government of human/machine robots that will own nothing and be happy. Canada’s PM and half the Parliament are on board too. This is why Canada is so dystopian right now. They want us to be modern day serfs so we can solve the other scam going around, global warming.

  9. Neil Young says that being removed by Spotify will lower his income by 60%. Such a pity. Neil will have to close down the left wing of his mansion.

    1. That’s what happens when tiresome old music played only at grocery stores is used for political purposes. Careful what you ask for Neil haha

  10. It’s appalling for the head of a UN agency to weigh in on domestic debate in a member state. Tedros apparently believes that Biden will not demand his resignation because he agrees with the administration’s position. He’d never get away with doing something like this to Russia or China, or even France or Britain for that matter. Disgusting.

    1. Neil has been paying close attention to the superior talented Stephen Stills, when Stills wrote “Step out of line, the Man come take you away,” from Stills’ song, “For What It’s Worth.” Neil is simply trying to prove to the Man that has in completely in line with the Fascist Police State’s agendas.

  11. World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is a subordinate and sycophant of Xi Jinping, President of the Communist People’s Republic of China, both of whom are allies of the subordinate Communist United States of America under General Secretary Joe Biden.

How does General Secretary Joe Biden conduct relations with the CCP and PRC? He follows orders.

Why would anyone casually discuss in articles and consume the lies and propaganda of the enemy – the direct and mortal enemy – Tedros Ghebreyesus, Xi Jinping and Joe Biden?

The frog won’t be able to jump out of the pot when he discovers he’s been slowly boiled alive – it will be too late.

    Goodnight, America.

  12. We need to expand our view beyond what the likes of Tedros and the WHO espouse and look at who’s pulling their strings.

Big Tech Censorship and Mass and Social Media Propaganda, Etc.
As would-be monopolists, Big Tech stands to gain directly from the Great Reset agenda. The Big Tech cartel’s attempt to eliminate competition and competing views is a piece with these monopolistic consolidation efforts.

Big Tech and mainstream media aid the Great Reset agenda through censorship, the dissemination of propaganda, and the propagation of official narratives. Big Tech and mainstream media censorship of news injurious to Joe Biden during the election season, their non-stop streaming of negative coverage regarding Trump, their financial donations for election equipment and process “improvements” in Democratic precincts for the 2020 election of Biden, their suppression of questions regarding the 2020 election results, their highlighting of Bill Gates’s views on COVID and vaccines despite his lack of medical credentials, their promotion of lockdowns and other COVID-based restrictions and closures—all these efforts have lent support to the Great Reset.

Big Tech and mainstream media silencing and deletion of oppositional views and users also accords well with Great Reset objectives. Their silencing of oppositional viewpoints regarding COVID and the COVID-related state responses, their support for and silencing of criticism of the Antifa/BLM riots while grossly overstating the danger posed by those who breached the Capitol on January 6th, their silencing and deletion of Trump and his supporters, their support for socialist and communist users despite their frequent calls for violence, and the differentially harsh treatment of conservatives and other posters including censorship and deletion of users and alternative social media sites—all these efforts combine to favor the Great Reset agenda.

Mainstream and social media censors all views that run contrary to the promoted, official narratives regarding climate change, COVID, the 2020 election, systemic racism, transgenderism, woke ideology, cancel culture, and all the other essential narrative elements for the Great Reset. And it openly gaslights those who seek and find evidence that runs contrary to these narratives.

In sum, Big Digital Tech represents the leading edge and the ideological communications apparatus of corporate socialism, and corporate socialism is the global economic system that the Great Reset aims to establish.

  13. When I was younger it was common to hear that both censorship and corporations were bad. That does not seem to be the case now. Am I missing anything? Maybe our leftist moral bettors can enlighten us on both.

        1. He was born in Canada and is a citizen of both Canada and the United States. Suggesting he should move back is technically accurate.

  14. I am having such a hard time watching the destruction of our country. I watched highlights of Senator Ron Johnson’s hearing on COVID last night (on YouTube). Very disturbing. YouTube will probably censor the videos pretty quickly, but usually other channels will repost. Simply put – we no longer live in the land of the free. Our liberty is being destroyed by the Democrat party, aided by legacy media, Big Tech, and now Big Pharma too. Seeing medical doctors cry because they were denied the ability to treat their patients, hearing of censorship, of pharmacies not allowed to dispense doctor-ordered prescriptions, learning that hospitals are refusing inexpensive life-saving treatment in preference for government mandated expensive drugs is something I still struggle to comprehend. How did the USA go from being the land of the free to the land of the muzzled? I suppose the answer is slowly and then all at once. I also watched Dr. Scott Atlas’ fact-based presentation to Hillsdale College in which he clearly demonstrated the wrong-headed drive of Fauci and Birx to lock down the country and the horrific results their lack of knowledge and stiff-necked approach created. When you see the term “misinformation” you can be pretty sure it is a fact or opinion with which the left disagrees.

    1. One word: “Crazy Abe” Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln terminated with extreme prejudice the rights, freedoms, privileges and immunities of the Constitution and Bill of Rights; American freedom lasted 71 years.

Abraham Lincoln was not an American hero but the greatest enemy free America ever had.

Abraham Lincoln taught Americans to obey the laws they like and to disobey the laws they don’t like.

The statue that should have been torn down is in the Lincoln Memorial.

He denied constitutional secession (the CSA would have come back begging), he commenced an unconstitutional war, he unconstitutionally suspended habeas corpus, he denied freedom of speech, he denied freedom of the press, he threw opponents in prison, he confiscated legal private property, he failed to do and was grossly derelict in his duty to compassionately repatriate freed slaves who became illegal aliens upon the issuance of the emancipation proclamation per immigration law requiring citizens to be “…free white person(s)…,” and he commenced the evolution and progressive journey of America into communism, which the American communist welfare state is today. Slavery must have been ended through legal means such as advocacy, boycotts, divestiture, etc. Instead, Lincoln imposed a brutal, tyrannical, communist dictatorship having consumed all the conversation and literature from European communists he could. From Germany through New York to Illinois, communists fleeing authorities in Europe managed to communicate with and influence old “Crazy Abe”.

LBJ should have never been able to “have those ——s voting democratic for 200 years”, they should have been compassionately repatriated as any abductee would want.

“These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people.”

      – Abraham Lincoln, from his first speech as an Illinois state legislator, 1837

“Everyone now is more or less a Socialist.”

      – Charles Dana, managing editor of the New York Tribune, and Lincoln’s assistant secretary of war, 1848

“The workingmen of Europe feel sure that, as the American War of Independence initiated a new era of ascendancy for the middle class, so the American Antislavery War will do for the working classes. They consider it an earnest of the epoch to come that it fell to the lot of Abraham Lincoln, the single-minded son of the working class, to lead his country through the matchless struggle for the rescue of an enchained race and the reconstruction of a social world.”

      – Karl Marx and the First International Workingmen’s Association to Lincoln, 1864

      1. George, I’d like to know what would the future would have looked like if the nation broke into two nations. My question is not on point, but I’m curious.

        1. It’s about the law and Lincoln broke it to “save” the nation…but at that point all you are saving is a lawless nation. Obviously we can never say what the future would have looked like if we simply had a divorce instead of all the killing.

          1. Ivan, I was trying to get at George’s vision. George’s desires would never be satisfied in the long term.

            1. My vision is ultimate economic failure of the CSA due to the onerous, overwhelming burden of public advocacy, isolation, boycotts, financial divestiture, etc., against it’s employment of slavery.

My vision is the CSA, ultimately, crawling back to Washington and begging for re-entry, and being admitted for the benefit of all of the Unites States of America.

My vision is finding a free market solution (which is always available and should always be the case) to the problem of slavery and secession and the complete avoidance of war, destruction and death.

              1. George, I wanted to limit the scope of the answer, which is why I asked this question.

“George, I’d like to know what would the future would have looked like if the nation broke into two nations. My question is not on point, but I’m curious.” If you don’t want to provide an answer, that would be fine.

I want to note that your present response includes wanting “a free market solution…”, but if it is genuinely a free market type solution, the results could travel in a different direction than you desire.

                1. Seriously?

You wanted to constrain the “scope” of the answer to your feckless and eccentric rendition.

What the future would have looked like if the nation had broken into two, is inescapable and what I said above.

The nation, which had broken into two parts, would have reunited and become one again, after the abject failure of the CSA due to advocacy, boycotts, financial divestiture and international condemnation.

I would love to hear the “answer” you have obviously concocted of your duplicitous oblivion.

                  1. “You wanted to constrain the “scope” of the answer to your feckless and eccentric rendition.”

No, George, I wanted to understand more about your feckless and eccentric rendition of Abe Lincoln’s Presidency. You mention him so much and with such heat that I thought you had a lot to say on the subject surrounding his presidency.

“The nation, which had broken into two parts, would have reunited and become one again, after the abject failure of the CSA due to advocacy, boycotts, financial divestiture and international condemnation. ”

I didn’t expect that answer, but it is interesting. Are you saying the world would have moved on and you would have stayed put?

  15. Of course, Communazi ghebreyesus is in favor of censoring the truth about the made-in-china covid virus, just like neil young. Communazis have got to stick together.
