A recent survey by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, found that 44 percent of millennials (between ages 25-34) favor criminal charges for people who use the wrong pronouns for others or so-called “misgendering.” We have previously discussed how misgendering is now a crime in countries like Great Britain. Misgendering has been referred to as an “act of violence” at some U.S. universities.
There has been a concern that we are seeing the rise of a generation of censors, who have been taught since a young age that speech is harmful and even violent.
Yet, hate speech is protected in the United States. Given that fact, it is astonishing to claim that a pronoun violation could lead to incarceration. Only 31 percent of the millennials disagreed with the proposition.
They are not alone.
Recently, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), who is a lawyer, said that “if you espouse hate … you’re not protected under the First Amendment.” Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean declared the identical position: “Hate speech is not protected by the First Amendment.”
Even some dictionaries now espouse this false premise, defining “hate speech” as “Speech not protected by the First Amendment, because it is intended to foster hatred against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference, place of national origin, or other improper classification.”
Why are we dealing with adolescent 30-year-olds? The answer is clear. Parents have abdicated their responsibilities which occurred in the 60s, and schools are forcing their way into parenthood of other people’s children. The teacher’s unions and teachers are implicated because they forgot their mission is to teach, not indoctrinate.
Below is a video of an eloquent mother complaining that the school pushed her child towards Transgenderism and kept it secret from the parents. The young child faced a family crisis when the grandfather died, and the mother, with a full-time job, developed breast cancer.
The left supports this type of school action, but the left is into destroying the past, families, and everything good in life though it has nothing to offer.
Permitting parent’s choice in exiting the public school system would change the dynamics and go a long way to stopping this type of child abuse.

Millenials are defined by age, not by class. Where were the 1,500 eligible voters in the sample drawn from? What political party did they identify with. What were THEIR preferred pronouns? EV driving homeowners with solar panels on their roofs? Upscale apartment dwelling climate change advocating ‘tekkies’ who send their children to private schools and take them to drag queen story hours at the local library. Certainly not the pickup truck driving school crossing guards in my community, or the cashiers or staff working behind the sandwich counter in my local supermarket. That’s the thing ZZ: I am decidedly not one of those people. In fact, likely all I would have in common with your illustration and the people in it are shared values and appreciation for that, but I have respect and appreciation for our differences, too. And that appreciation and solidarity is real, and really the only thing necessary as at least a foundation, IMO. People are supposed to care about one another; because we are people, and even the best people are flawed. We have thrown a case of entitlement laden TNT onto that notion, but it’s an important distinction – this particular point is not about ideology – it’s natural for people to care about other people. Yordie- A movie based on a book, Starship Troopers, espoused the same thing about requiring military service to get the vote. The book more explained the concept of civilians who could not vote, citizens who actually served (voluntarily) in the military and successfully completed service and they could vote. The movie left out many of the concepts in the book. There was no draft, everyone could serve and could not be turned down unless you mentally could not understand the oath. If you quit the service and walked away you were not pursued unless you committed a deadly crime, then you fell under military justice.
Everyone had the same freedoms but only citizens could vote or run for office. You could buy and sell property, and function like all other citizens and civilians except for the lack of vote and political office. The Hollywood version was clearly a fascist state in parody but one wonders in the real world if such a state would be practicable or desirable.
The UK and US both survived for long periods of time with restricted voting rights.
This country has long had veterans of prior wars in positions of power, be it the Revolution, war of 1812, Mexican war, Civil war, Spanish American War, WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. But as we turned to an all volunteer military we have less and less of the political higher ups who ever dealt with military service or their children (you make decisions differently for yourself but tend to be more protective for your children). The decision makers in WW2 in congress and the administration had large percentages who served or whose children served as the war progressed.
Obviously military service changes you. Some go left, some go right but it brings a dimension to leadership that we see less and less. How you handle the challenge tells the people a lot about your character right or left but does not necessarily predict your actions in the future.
Things to consider.
If merely saying “I’m a girl” would be put me in close physical proximity sans clothes to Jennifer Connolly or in the same shower, dressing or bedroom, where do I sign up?

Upstate, go back about 10 years, and what happened? Americans, after viewing Obama for four years, voted a second time for him. That means they didn’t learn and were unable to perceive danger. His second term win meant America was most likely to go downhill.
Never think something is just a trend and will go away. They have a bad history of not going away but staying and spreading their poison. These are not hula hoops, or pet rocks. Most will go away as people grow up and cast aside their foolish toys. But we have generated some populations that have no concept of history and its mistakes and are having to rediscover what used to be taught in what we called education. When people will sit there and argue for socialism and/or communism but have no idea what real socialism is, cannot even describe or identify a successful socialist state, cannot understand how states like CCP even evolved and were installed in their home countries and then transformed into into a truly fascist state, you have to worry. When education was real and diverse these trends would appear and disappear but there is a mass of organizations that will not let them disappear and, in fact push them.
When there was a real and skeptical press stupid trends would disappear, but now the press pushes them.
You have much of the educational hierarchy and medical industrial complex (the leadership and minions) pushing this. Left wing agitators and politico’s push it because it because they want to turn over society and anything stable and supposedly sacrosanct.

I have always wondered what, even if the right were to gain control for even a significant period of time, we can/could do with so much miseducated, brainwashed human flotsam. I doubt that they could be returned/re-educated into any form of citizen beyond that of useless burdens to society.

This is astounding. It is a piece of evidence, if factual, that proves the notion that young people are too ignorant to vote, even by the age of 21. If they serve in the military for at least two years, they should have the right to vote. The military is a quick course in many of the realities that uninformed young people must learn before they have the experience to assert their opinions about who should be their leaders.

Science confirms that the human brain has not reached maturity until the mid-twenties. I believe that the age of consent for pretty much everything, including the right to vote and drink alcohol, should be 25, the same age as the Constitution makes the minimum for a member of the House of Representatives (for the same reason). Yes, many will also argue that if you can go to war at 18 you should be able to vote. I disagree. There are totally different standards are duties, and requirements, for the two and there is no reason why the ages must be the same.

The fact is that many mental illnesses don’t fully reveal themselves until early adulthood. Most mass shooters are unstable young men below the age of 25. In many cases after 25, their medical history would disallow ownership. By raising the age to 25, might we avoid a lot of trouble?
But by the same token, should we disallow combat service for those under 25? Would we know better by 25 who is not suitable for combat stress? Would we have fewer young men scarred with PTSD and better soldiers?
Maybe we should split the age of majority into a qualified majority of 18 and a full majority of 25?

If six-year-olds could vote, they’d veto raising the age to 18. 25 will never pass, and I’m not advocating either way, but the questions raised by Yordie and Wise Old Lawyer are substantial, and both liberals and conservatives could make arguments for 25 being the legal age of full majority. Okay, we know in the case of mass shooters the authorities had many warning signs they never acted upon for many years. I also don’t disagree that in many instances, existing laws were ignored that could have prevented mass shootings. I also don’t disagree that the Democrats will abuse whatever system is created to stop mass shooters. I appreciate your taking up the debate, and I’m not necessarily advocating restricting the gun rights of eighteen-year-olds.
My point is that eighteen was always a somewhat arbitrary age for majority. I believe as Yordie and Wise Old Lawyer suggest, physical and mental maturity are not even close to the same things, and I’m simply extending their logic: if immaturity is a problem for voting, it’s probably a problem in most areas. I raise the argument because I find the ramifications interesting–but not necessarily dispositive!
