Now this could truly be educational. Students protesting on our campuses have been offered free scholarships at Shiraz University in Fars. So, while Northwestern has reached a settlement with protesters to give scholarships to Palestinian students and positions to Palestinian faculty, U.S. protesters can now go to Iran for their education.
Mohammad Moazzeni, head of Shiraz University told media that “students and even professors who have been expelled or threatened with expulsion can continue their studies at Shiraz University and I think that other universities in Shiraz as well as Fars Province are also prepared [to provide the conditions].”
This could be the single most transformative educational experience of their lives. Of course, Iran is better known for floggings than free speech.
Iran is particularly prone to such contradictions like executing homosexuals while denying that there are any homosexuals in Iran or objecting to the treatment of protesters in the West while jailing, beating and killing protesters.

The good thing is that U.S. students are already covering up their faces. Iranian women have faced arrest for being photographed without hijabs.
Students like Khymani James, the Columbia organizer declaring that “Zionists don’t deserve to live” have the right viewpoint but may find that the Iranian officials are less supportive in other respects.
Just a year studying abroad in Iran is worth a lifetime of education.
So Iranian universities are making the ultimate pitch to come for the free education and stay for the free amputations.
I, for one, am willing to pay for the airfare of several of the hate filled anti-Semites who blindly follow Iranian supported terrorists … to get out of the USA! If they believe the “Palestinians” are worth their participation in hateful, vandalizing, terrorist mobs .. go to the middle east and fight with Hamas.

Have a relative that works for Harvard. Was told that campus security and local police have secured the entrances and exits to Harvard yard. To enter you would need a Harvard ID that would designate you as a Harvard affiliated person, a student for example. It appears that campus is under control.

I usually agree with Mr Turley but this time I don’t see things quite the same. He wrote, “Iran is better known for floggings than free speech.” I’d point to the Jan 6 mostly non-violent protesters that are still sitting in jail for exercising free speech that the government excused when BLM supporters exercised far more violent free speech. Julian Assange is still rotting in jail for doing what the NY Times did in the 1970’s when they published the Pentagon Papers. Donald Trump (like him or not) is the Republican Party candidate currently with a gag order and is forced to attend what we all know is a show trial instead of campaigning for president. Lastly, though the Iranian government supports violence, for the U.S. to point the finger seems a bit hypocritical. The point Iran is making that we give Israel money and weapons to murder tens of thousands of innocent Arabs that had the misfortune to be born in Gaza does not fall on deaf ears here or in the Middle East. Americans are increasingly aware that what Israel is really doing is engaging in ethnic cleansing that is completely supported by the U.S. government. Students tend to pay particular attention to issues of this nature. Iran is not Mr. Wonderful but the increasingly Orwellian U.S. media and government has many of us far more concerned than any political posturing Iran is involved in. All that said I think Mr Turley is a credit to his profession and to this country.
