Back with a Vengeance: Nina Jankowicz Calls on Europeans to Oppose the United States

Nina Jankowicz, the former head of Biden’s infamous Disinformation Governance Board, was “back with a vengeance.” After the outcry over the board led to its elimination, Jankowicz did what many of the displaced disinformation experts have done: she peddled her dubious skills to Europeans and others like a wandering rōnin without a master. Now, Jankowicz has appeared before one of the most anti-free speech bodies in the world — the European Union — to call upon those 27 countries to fight against the United States, which she called a world threat.

Before the European Union, Jankowicz lashed out at the United States and portrayed those of us who have opposed censorship as stooges of Russia:

“I would like to call upon you to stand firm against another autocracy, the United States of America. The Trump administration is undoubtedly preparing a pressure campaign to force EU institutions to roll back regulation like the DSA [Digital Services Act], to end support for Ukraine, to stop holding Russia to account. Do not capitulate. Hold the line. Doing so is the clearest signal the European Union could send to Russia and other adversaries that it will not stop fighting to preserve democracy at home and around the world.”

How the “Mary Poppins of disinformation” came to alight upon Europe is a familiar tale. The European Union has become the global hub for censorship efforts and, after she departed from the government, Jankowicz made a beeline for Europe.

I have been a long critic of Jankowicz, who became an instant Internet sensation due to a musical number in which she sang “You can just call me the Mary Poppins of disinformation” in a TikTok parody of the song “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” After the Biden Administration reluctantly disbanded her board, she later moved to join a European group as a foreign agent to continue her work to block views that she considers disinformation.

The false portrayal of the United States as a lawless, autocratic nation no doubt thrilled the Europeans. In announcing her heading a private disinformation group called the American Sunlight Project, Jankowicz used the same hysteria to attract donors, insisting that “Disinformation knows no political party. Its ultimate victim is our democracy.”

Of course, Jankowicz herself has been accused of disinformation that served one particular party. She was previously criticized for allegedly spreading disinformation and advocating censorship.

Before the European Union, Jankowicz lashed out at the free speech community for opposing the DSA and censorship:

“Anti-democratic regimes in Russia, China, Iran, and elsewhere are taking advantage of this environment, launching interference campaigns that aim to undermine the democratic process with little pushback. And homegrown anti-democratic forces have launched a coordinated campaign to undermine researchers, journalists, advocates, and civil servants who work to expose their lies. The confluence of these forces has hobbled some democracies’ responses to the strategic threat that we are here to discuss today, Russian hybrid threats.”

The ultimate irony is that Jankowicz knows that she can count on many of us in the free speech community to support her right to spread such sensational and inflammatory information. She has every right to trash this country and the results of the election.

Jankowicz has clearly found a home with globalists in Europe where our “Mary Poppins of Disinformation” is “practically perfect in every way

  1. She is better off and safer in Europe. Our founders were smart enough to write the 2nd Amendment if needed to protect the 1st

She looks like Gretchen Whitmer’s tranny identical twin brother🤣

WTF is wrong with so many Lefties?

  4. Benedict Arnold could have been reincarnated as Nina Jankowicz . . . with the benefit of celebrating the woke transgender world as well.

  5. We are not Europe. We will not lay down and be marginalized by a contemptuous ruling class.

Bill O’Reilly contends that the promised deportations will never happen. My best understanding of his argument is that any minority party can use the courts to veto a sound deportation policy, so Trump can’t succeed. Whatever his reasoning, I hope O’Reilly is wrong, but he is rarely wrong.

If he proves correct, America will not just take a dose of fentanyl and wait to be buried by a Bolshevik minority of crackpots like Jankowicz. There will be trouble. These crybabies think they know what oppression looks like, but they do not. They’ll f*** around and find out.

The Left intends to make immigration an existential crisis for Constitutionalists. The Supreme Court has to take motive into account. I’m willing to be patient with the courts, but that is exactly how the Left wants me to behave. The time for legal hairsplitting will eventually run out

    1. America will not just take a dose of fentanyl and wait to be buried by a Bolshevik minority of crackpots like Jankowicz.

That is a hopeful statement. More important, I believe it is true. America has a culture of freedom – with 2A as an enforcer – and a history of separation from Europe. Politics is downstream from culture, which is downstream from education, both K-12 and university-level. School choice therefore is key to America surviving in the long run against a Bolshevik-globalist takedown. There is a growing state-level school choice movement, and the GOP-proposed (and Trump-supported) Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) would help too. I hope Congress prioritizes that piece of legislation.

The theory underlying ECCA is that school choice is improved if taxpayers can direct their taxes to private schools to fund scholarships. Such scholarships open up the possibility of lower-income families to have realistic school choice, and they additionally free up some of the school’s money to improve the quality of the education provided (thus allowing them to compete better in the educational market). There are some state-level enactments based on a similar theory, and they have proven helpful.

        First medicine. Second theology.

America is not only taking fentanyl and every addict tied product available on the market (eg. smart phones, social media, food, etc), but I will go further: America’s years are numbered. An organism is viable as long as it is fit so that it can compete against all of the evolutionary pressures that exist to thwart its existence. Survival of the fittest no longer exists in America because the Govt keeps providing prescription drugs and money to allow people to live who should have died long ago. Americans are being kept alive artificially. If they were cut off from Federal entitlements, most Americans would die off in a matter of months.

Re: America having a culture of freedom, St. Augustine of Hippo (4th Century AD) argued that the Roman Empire collapsed because the Romans succumbed to every vice available to them because they believed they had freedoms to do so. Augustine also argued that Romans sacrificied their intellectual roots and their religous history (borrowed mainly from the Greeks). Americans have the freedom to eat themselves to obvlivion in spite of becoming morbidly obese. They have the freedom to shun physical exercise, shun hard work, shun intellectual growth (by being addicts to internet forums, social media, TV etc), shun interpersonal relationships because no one can go at it alone, yet here we are. Yes, America has a culture of freedom but having freedom means being responsble with those choices allowed by freedom.

None of us are going to be alive 50+ years from now. We may not collapse because of civil war, and clearly foreign enemies are the least of our concerns. Our biggest enemy is Americans who wallow in freedoms while living a life of acedia

acedia: Spiritual torpor and apathy; ennui.
Apathy and inactivity in the practice of virtue (personified as one of the deadly sins).
        Similar: slothlaziness
        Spiritual or mental sloth.
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition

Every academic year, the crop of students get worse. The blame goes to their parents, both groups having embraced a “culture of freedom” of living in acedia. Life can not be sustained this way. Our cells are trying to keep us alive in spite of our “freedoms” and not surprisingly medical pathologies are rising (e.g. heart disease), all because of people wallowing in their freedoms to live slothfully.

        1. Estovir, my condolences on the death of Pope Francis.

I agree. We’re breeding weakness. I think it has a cognitive aspect to it, too. I believe human intelligence is the result of complexity that reaches but doesn’t exceed a critical threshold that defines the boundary of chaos. If that threshold is exceeded, human brains become chaotic, i.e. politically and socially absurd and eventually, fully insane. That absurdity is breeding successfully because modern man has been removed from nature. We’re becoming hothouse lunatics.

That might explain the seeming contradiction of college faculties acting like lunatics. The more complex the brain, the more susceptible to chaos. That might also explain why such individuals are so hard to enlighten. The biological substrate of their thinking was broken at birth, maturity notwithstanding. That might also explain the paradox of rising mental illness in a period of unrivaled prosperity.

          1. Estovir, my condolences on the death of Pope Francis.

            Thank you

I agree. We’re breeding weakness. I think it has a cognitive aspect to it, too.

Agreed. Cognitive decline is the new normal. Intellectual excellence is out of favor. We should all demand the latter from ourselves, our family and friends, and peers.

        2. “America’s years are numbered.”

Estovir, I’m assuming you’re referring to the America that you and I both hold dear. Personally, I believe America will remain the strongest nation, at least through 2050. Before the multi-front war in Israel, I was more pessimistic. I thought the younger generation had lost its strength, but I was proven wrong. Their response was magnificent.

Perhaps the same strength lies within America’s youth, but I don’t know if one can draw a fair conclusion about one country’s future from another’s struggle.

I also heard the Pope passed. I imagine you view him as part of your extended spiritual family, and I want to offer my condolences. I don’t fully understand how things work politically inside the Vatican, but I hope that whatever follows will help bring about a stronger and brighter future.

          1. I also heard the Pope passed. I imagine you view him as part of your extended spiritual family, and I want to offer my condolences

Thank you. As you know I am a product of the Jesuits, and I am very proud of that. Ironically I always saw myself as “trying to keep up” with Americans because I came from nothing, and knew I had a lot to learn. Now at age 61, I see America’s landscape in a very dim way. Most people cant keep attentive for a conversation lasting more than 3 minutes, and fewer have any knowledge of US History and Western Civilization never mind the classics.

I admire Israelis like Gal Gadot, and their fierce loyalty to fight for Israel. I saw a sign yesterday as I drove to the university planted in the right of way, a yard sign with a pathetic “Stop Trump” message. I took a photo and sent it to a neighbor, and he said, “I never would have imagined 10 years ago so many Americans would hate this country”. He is right, and being at a state university I do not see many Gal Gadot type patriots. Its just so sad. Thank God for the Psalms, which I pray daily. The Psalms give me hope seeing they were written > 3000 years ago and capture the human psyche. It is as if they were written for our very times.

            Shalom

            1. ” I see America’s landscape in a very dim way. “

Perhaps your love for the freedoms America offers makes you feel this way. I see things with more optimism, though I understand your concerns. Man is meant to live joyfully, accepting both faults and the hope of redemption. I still believe most Americans are good people and show it through their generosity, and at times through Chessed that isn’t restrained by Gevurah.

              Shalom

    2. In the past, I had considerable due respect for Diogenes.

Having read that Diogenes is an acolyte of the ostracized epitome of narcissism and “legend in his own mind,” Bill O’Reilly, I am considering abandoning that apparent misperception.

In my opinion, as but one glaring example, Bill O’Reilly posited that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK, which was an absurd and egregious furtherance of one of the greatest frauds in American history. Every person who is in possession of a cognitive process knows that Allen Dulles was fired from his position as head of the CIA by JFK and went on to lead the American assassination conspiracy of American security service and military officials, Cuban exiles, financially devastated Mafia bosses, et al. Assassinations were what Dulles’s CIA did. Oswald was merely “placed” clandestinely by the CIA as the patsy in the Texas School Book Depository and was scheduled to be killed by Officer J. D. Tippit. Tippet failed his assignment and was replaced by Jack Ruby, who succeeded in silencing Oswald on the second attempt. Bill O’Reilly should have started his book where JFK’s life ended, in the emergency room at Parkland, where the treating physician stated that the front throat defect was an “entrance” wound, which closed the case then and there—it was a vast conspiracy, not the work of a “lone gunman” and CIA operative named Oswald.

Rather than praising the “big mouth” con artist, Bill O’Reilly, Diogenes et al. should demand an apology from O’Reilly for this feckless spin on JFK that is bereft of any evident coherence, rationale, or relevance.

      1. I’m sorry to disappoint you. I still believe Oswald did it on his own, but I can understand why people would be suspicious of that.

    3. “My best understanding of his argument is that any minority party can use the courts to veto a sound deportation policy, so Trump can’t succeed.”

Expand that thought. The minority party will use almost anything to defeat sound policy, including violence. Look at this very blog. The left uses idiocy and lies in an attempt to destroy the blog because Turley, coming from the left, believes in free speech and thought. Some on the right, like myself, are intentionally abrasive, and others on the right decry that as poor behavior and say the right is better than that. They like their ties and jackets, and they have a great dislike for getting dirty.

Look at how both the left and right complained about Trump’s behavior, his tweets, and his girlfriends rather than looking at what he advocates and accomplishes. They don’t even ask themselves why. Fifty years ago, he was the love of many on the left, even Hillary Clinton, who comes from the lowest levels of Hell.

NYC government used its power against him, and he fought the fight like a seasoned judo fighter. Many leaders in NYC hated him because he succeeded where they failed and blamed it on his behavior. Without that behavior, there would be no Donald Trump, and all the things he did in NYC would never happen, even those things that brought the city out of bankruptcy.

Where else has the nice guy lost? The US of today is one. Also, look back to revolutionary times. England decided to use its heavy hand despite the warnings from people like Edmund Burke. The Americans didn’t just become abrasive. They went to war and won.

Look, Israel is perhaps the most hated country in the world. Israel, though small, helped many nations in many different ways, but that didn’t help. They have the most diverse population based on race or religion, which is included in their courts and Knesset, and yet the world will call them apartheid. Being nice didn’t work. They gave the Gazans Gaza unconditionally. That didn’t help much, either. Israel is now fighting an existential war against enemies they will defeat. There will be peace if they are permitted the total win they deserve. By not being the nice guy, enemies will stop running all over them, and their standing in the world will likely improve.

The Republican Party is fighting the American people’s war, which represents an existential threat to the freedom of America. They are fighting corruption, violence, and a fascist party, unlike what that party once was. They need to win. It’s time to remove the tie and jacket and roll up their sleeves.

      1. Allen, 80% of the human race is congenitally incapable of democracy and justice. You are right. There’s no point to worrying about what they think. We should defend what is right, period.

  6. Nina is just another liberal who needs to be heard. She is willing to sell out her country to do so. Like most liberals and the EU, she loves the protection the USA offers (and pays for) but loves to trash the agency that does so. Hopefully, she will lead the EU in a sing-along and boost their mood. Hopefully, she doesn’t come back.

  7. . . . a lawless, autocratic nation . . .

Putting aside the oxymoronic quality of that phrase, it does raise an interesting question: if there are no laws censoring speech, does that constitute lawlessness?

No. The law is the First Amendment. We need to remember that. The government must obey the law. That’s what makes America a free nation. The laws are there to constrain the government even more than the people. Conclusion: America is the exact opposite of “autocratic” (meaning ruled by one person with absolute power).

    1. If there are no laws censoring speech…morality is the law. It’s an internal understanding.

What is the moral principle of gay marriage? What is the moral principle of hetero marriage? What is the moral principle of Larry flynts publication?

What are moral principles? Do you think SCOTUS is without moral principles? This goes to a comment made earlier about “motive”.

  8. “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.”

    ~Marcus Tullius Cicero

Lots of traitors in our midst.

    1. Thank God she hied herself outside the gate, along with millionaire malcontents out of Hollywood (A dieu!) I do wish that she would formally renounce her American citizenship and submit herself 100% to the Brussels crime syndicate.

        1. I sleep very fitfully. Tossing and turning, sleep an hour, then awake for a couple…would that be good enough?

    2. Sadly we know what happened to Cicero. Hopefully we have a better ending for our fighters for freedom.

  9. #. Nina junkowitz is a demon using a body not her own. It doesn’t have one. Take a view of the destruction of civilization and understand the destruction of civilization is a repeated theme for mankind.

As a personal note, I always presumed the events of WWI and WWII were the events of demons unseen and unreported. I’ll call it out so humans can know God is real if for no other reason.

Thank you, Professor Turley, for your measured efforts. The demons want to demonstrate what freedom really is.

    Peace, joy, and love…

      1. #. This woman is the archetypal crazy man in a cemetary when asked how many are you answered we are legions. They were promptly thrown out and died out.

Nina can or will jump off an archetypal cliff.

        Adieu countrymen…

  10. This is the personification of the modern Democrat party. She is young, female, liberal, a drama club member, a denier of freedom of speech for those that oppose her and a sycophantic Europe lover. Oh yeah, she also has those crazy eyes that seem so prevalent among the new Democrats.

    1. It’s actually a 45 to 70 year old menopausal female. Lack of Oxytocin increases feelings of isolation and anger. Voila – liberal rage.

  11. Jankowitz – AK MARY POPPINS – Europe/London is the perfect place for her to live and work. They love Censorship, Mass Migration of Migrants, Globalist views and policies. If she can’t find work on Censorship, she could always get a role in the London Theater – Mary Poppins.

    1. “Mass Migration of Migrants?”

I recommend you apply for the recently opened position of Director of the Department of Redundancy Department.

    1. She has the right to free speech either here or in Europe (as long as she agrees with them). The question to me is that if the European Union decides to take action against our free speech, what we will do? Will we just abdicate or stand up? If they do allow our free speech, should we just leave with all of our military and other Dept. of State organizations and say you are on your own? Do the American companies decide to stay under those circumstances like they do in China? Or do they decide the advertising $ is not worth the loss of free speech?
