Below is my column on Fox.com on the alliance of some on the American left with Europeans in combatting the United States as a menace to world order. From Hillary Clinton to Nina Jankowicz, Europeans are hearing tales of alarm and agony from liberals warning that the United States is a growing global threat.
Here is the column:
In his historic speech in Munich this year, Vice President J.D. Vance confronted the Europeans over their attacks on free speech, declaring “If you are running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you.” That is manifestly true, but it appears that there is something that certain Americans can still do for Europe. As the European Union ramps up its long-standing campaign against free speech, it is increasingly calling upon Americans to make the case against both free speech and the United States.
The Europeans and globalists see the Trump Administration as a threat in the effort to create transnational governance systems. German diplomat Christoph Heusgen became emotional in responding to Vance, declaring “It is clear that our rules-based international order is under pressure. It is my strong belief that this more multipolar world needs to be based on a single set of norms and principles.”
American politicians and journalists quickly added their voices of condemnation. CBS anchor Margaret Brennan confronted Secretary of State Marco Rubio to suggest that Vance’s support for free speech was outrageous because he was “standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide.” Brennan’s bizarre suggestion that free speech contributed to the death camps was amplified by Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) who accused Vance of using “some of the same language that Hitler used to justify the Holocaust.”
After the Munich speech, some of the leading anti-free speech figures in the world gathered at the World Forum in Berlin. I was one of the few speakers from the free speech community at the conference that declared “A New World Order with European Values.” Various Americans were present to reaffirm the worst about the United States as a nation descending into tyranny.
The two most celebrated figures were Bill and Hillary Clinton, who also criticized the current Administration.
The appearance of Hillary Clinton was particularly chilling for the free speech community at the Forum. Clinton has been unrelenting in her attacks on free speech and is a favorite of globalists who want to create this new world order. After Musk bought Twitter with the intention of restoring free speech protections, Clinton called upon the European Union to use its infamous Digital Services Act to make Musk censor her fellow Americans. She has also suggested arresting those spreading disinformation.
The EU did precisely that and is now threatening Musk with confiscatory fines unless he resumes the censorship of Americans and others.
After returning from Berlin, I testified in the Senate Judiciary Committee and warned about the building threat to free speech from the use of the DSA.
Since then, the EU has moved forward with its aggressive campaign against U.S. companies and figures who are not yielding to their expansive censorship demands.
They continue to rely on Americans to make the case against the United States and they are finding a long list of eager experts.
Many are disgruntled Democrats after the election or “disinformation experts” left without positions or grants after the start of the Trump administration. Unemployed censors now roam the Earth like rōnin, or masterless disgraced samurai. They are finding opportunities in Europe where free speech in a virtual free fall.
It was not surprising, therefore, that Nina Jankowicz, the former head of Biden’s infamous Disinformation Governance Board, appeared this week before the European Parliament. She called upon the 27 EU countries to fight against the United States, which she called a world threat.
How the “Mary Poppins of disinformation” came to alight upon the European Union is little surprise. Appealing before one of the most anti-free speech bodies in the world. The “New World Order with European Values” notably does not include robust protections for free speech.
I have been a long critic of Jankowicz. After the Biden Administration reluctantly disbanded her board, she later moved to join a European group as a foreign agent to continue her work to block views that she considers disinformation.
Jankowicz fed the anti-American fervor sweeping over Europe. While she was called to address Russian disinformation, she went out of her way to attack the United States as a global menace: “Before I describe the details of Russia’s recent online influence campaigns, I would like to call upon you to stand firm against another autocracy: The United States of America.”
The false portrayal of the United States as a lawless, autocratic nation no doubt thrilled the Europeans. In announcing her heading a private disinformation group called the American Sunlight Project, Jankowicz used the same hysteria to attract donors, insisting that “Disinformation knows no political party. Its ultimate victim is our democracy.”
Of course, Jankowicz herself has been accused of spreading disinformation and advocating censorship.
The ultimate irony is that Jankowicz knows that she can count on many of us in the free speech community to support her right to spread such sensational and inflammatory information. She has every right to trash this country and the results of the election.
Jankowicz has clearly found a home with globalists in Europe where our “Mary Poppins of Disinformation” is “practically perfect in every way.”
Of course, these “defenders of democracy” are advocating for precisely what they are condemning in seeking greater state controls over speech and individual rights.
The new diaspora of disgruntled American liberals and censors will find eager European audiences to hear their tales of woe.
Jonathan Turley is the author of best-selling book “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”
What I cannot let go of are these recollections : Hillary Rodham (Clinton) was part of the Watergate Hearings attack squad of young aggressive democrat attorneys who helped take down Richard Nixon — Hillary had a commodities account with an account exec/salesman named ‘Red Bone’ through which he helped her turn her investments into obscene percentage profits (was it ‘luck’?) – not likely, and Bone;s firm was indicted if I recall correctly — but Hillary went untouched. Let’s not forget her incredible investing ‘skill’ in the S&L collapse – again – untouched; and let’s skip to Vince Foster, who died mysteriously, Hillary again untouched but rumors swirled of her ‘involvement.’
The purpose of free speech is to explore alternatives, maintaining an atmosphere of trust, open-mindedness and problem-solving cohesion.
But, when taken as a license to manipulate through clever deceptions, free speech utterly fails in this purpose.
When public speech is used to threaten and intimidate — to make people shrink from candidly sharing their thoughts — free speech is declining. That is what was happening in 1930s Germany. Use of the public square to bully and intimidate leads to a breakdown of trust, and puts society on the road to fascism. It hands over the public square to zealots.
When the internet is used by militant adults to influence children — to weaken their loyalty to their nation — to confuse them with deviant sexual lifestyles — to addict them to online drugs — all outside the protective purview of parents, that use if the internet is an extremist’s playground.
Europeans have paid the price for allowing rabbid fanaticism to flourish in ways Americans have a harder time remembering. Would Americans like to fight another civil war? Another McCarthy-Red-Scare surge of paranoia and career-ending false accusations?
This could easily be our future if we buy into Turley’s naive-idealistic, over-expansive theories of speech freedom which include manipulative deception, intimidation and grooming children online. In refusing to acknowledge these dangers, Turley is grossly oversimplifying what is a highly complex challenge we have to solve if we want to remain a free, self-governing people.
“The purpose of free speech is to . . .”
No it’s not.
The purpose of free speech is to express one’s opinions without the threat of punishment from the government. It’s a wall around one’s conscience that tells government: Hands off!
The rest of your comment is an attempt to rationalize government censorship to protect the lame, the halt, the blind.
Time to play using the Democrats own playbook. Pack the Supreme Court. Crush the local judges.
Translation? Dunceocrat Marxists HATE America but LOVE China, Hamas, and depravity, degeneracy, destruction, and death.
If I ever buy a dictionary and under the word “gall” it doesn’t have a picture of Hillary Clinton, I’m demanding my money back. This is the woman who put the US through 2+ years of hell with her deliberate Russia-gate lies, now complaining about misinformation.
This is the trap they have been working towards with the complicity of several of the courts.
https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2025/04/24/schumer-if-trump-disobeys-supreme-court-order-extraordinary-action-will-be-necessary
But the trap, if it be one, may destroy itself.
I just finished watching the movie “Miracle on Ice.” It brought back a lot of memories of an era in time when things were looking grim in our country. Jobs were scarce, interest rates were in the high double digits, the USSR was a strong enemy, there were gas shortages and a pretty bleak outlook here and overseas.
A ragtag group of 21 year old amateur athletes (when that was still a requirement) beat the best team in the world. The Soviets had played together for over ten years and had recently humiliated the NHL champions.
These young men trained beyond hard and played their guts out. They were determined and unafraid. Their Olympic miracle did something for this nation. They gave us a glimmer of hope and a momentary unity that did a lot of good for our morale. Watched it on my little black and white TV set. Even then, it was great!
Turning back to these sick, mentally ill weirdos that cry and whine and do everything in their limited power to drag down this nation, they should be committed to an insane asylum. They would have been run out of town 30-40 years ago.
They have no ideas, no solutions to mounting problems at home and abroad. All they know how to do is act crazy and be loud and obnoxious. They want to silence free speech because they have no idea how to debate or argue for fair minded, common sense solutions.
There is a wonderful invention on a TV or computer. It is called the off button. When a person who is seeking news and information hears Bovine Excrement, they can turn it off. That is what I finally did with NPR. I listened to them for decades and then they started shoveling one sided B.S. It is time, sadly, to cut off their public funding and let them compete in the open market.
The comment about NPR was meant for the previous post.
Not there yet but it almost seems the increasingly shabby American judiciary is drifting this way.

It was argued poorly. It always has been.

Why do you call them liberals when their tendency toward authoritarian control is the opposite of liberalism?
Because it sounds like libertine.
…agree! true Classic Liberals were those of us who called for Free Speech (like Prof. Turley coming from those same roots).. who followed Alan Dershowitz when he had all that Einstein hair.. The Folks being called ‘Liberals’ to-day are NOT Liberals… far from it.. they have swung so far Left.. radically so, that they have gone beyond the left side of the circle and swung over the top into the Reactionary Rigt territory… Just listen to their speech! ..itis hilarious that they keep bringing up Hitler et al when they are the ones identifying with that behaviour!
Not just Europeans, but also federal judges are opposed to the United States.
A judge has barred Trump’s EO requirement for US citizenship to vote in federal elections.

Of course the Democrats brought the suit. Why is it Democrats fight every attempt to close avenues to cheating? It almost looks like they want to cheat and every day they look less like the Democrats they pretend to be and more like Bolsheviks.
Congress needs to trim district court jurisdiction soon or the President will have to do it.
Too bad the chief justice is a cipher letting the country drift onto a crisis.
These out-of-control federal judges are politicians in robes, not real judges. They are Democrat operatives masquerading as judges.

Oldman,
Too true. Ilya Shapiro has warned that our compromised law schools are turning out lawyers/judges who will ignore the law to achieve their political ideals. I think he is right and we are seeing daily evidence of it.
Young, I never thought such politicization of law faculties would happen, but I see no other explanation than what you described. I went to one of the few non-liberal law schools in the country, where they taught that the whole point was *not* to politicize the law. I guess I was naive to think other law faculties would teach the same.
Oldman, Shapiro’s book is “LAWLESS, The Miseducation of America’s Elites”.
He mentions giving a lecture at Georgetown law and facing protests and learning some of the law students demanded that the school give them crying rooms where they could have sanctuaries from upsetting legal opinions. I am sure they will make fine judges of the caliber we are seeing now. You are old enough to know that sissies become bullies when chance gives them the opportunity.
It wasn’t this bad in the past.
It is a judicial insurrection. An insurrection more destructive than the protest-got-out-of-hand on J6, where capitol police escorted the protesters around, giving a tour of the building and high-fiving them. This is an insurrection in which robed political gangsters are overthrowing the president of the US.
Oldman, Good point! I think it does look like a judicial insurrection.
Then:
It has gotten to the point where the reasonanle assumption is that these judges are acting maliciously and without true legal justification.
I don’t think this would be happening if the chief justice were not complicit, blackmailed, or simply a fool.
Roberts appears to be losing the presumption of integrity.
Whatever may be the problem, even only naive innocence, he is destroying the reputation of the American judiciary.

The EU really needs to stop penalizing American corporations because of their superior competitiveness.
There is no such thing and communist “antitrust” enforcement.
It’s nothing more than the EU’s inability to engender effective competition.
Arguing that “it’s the smartest way to go,” Donald J. Trump urged the Vatican on Monday to select the next pope from the cast of “Fox & Friends.”
“You want to have a pope who’s good on TV,” Trump said. “The ‘Fox & Friends’ people are the best TV people in the business.”
Trump seemed to disqualify co-host Ainsley Earhardt, commenting, “I don’t know if you can have a girl pope. No knock on Ainsley, but I don’t think people are ready for that.”
Alternatively, he added, “Maybe go with Doocy–he looks like he’s never had sex.”
Hardly Democracy. When the Diabolical Narcissists of the Left mean “Democracy,” they mean 1) the collection of a wish-list of inputs from corrupt “Stakeholder Communities,” who are supporters of the Leftists-in-Power, who in turn 2) use Kamala’s “Venn Diagrams” to find the intersections of those wish-lists which the Leftists then use to set policies, sometimes unhinged and contradictory or illogical, which are then shoved down everyone else’s collective throats through Soft Totalitarianism. The Shoving is done in part through force of Govt and also through Captured Media (Censors and Propagandists), Cancel-culture Mobs, and heavily intimidated corporations and organizations, among other means. The State is never wrong and to speak in opposition is roundly criticized as conspiratorial and Anti-Revolutionary and must be censored. Hardly Democracy.
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are taboo to those Narcissists and their plans for perpetual power.
Oh and What stakeholder communities? The American Founders restricted voting to individuals who were male, European, and 21 years old, with a net worth of 50 lbs. Sterling (~$13K today), resulting in an 11.6% turnout.
The American Founders understood that all issues were “decided” in the Constitution and Bill of Rights—which is the nature of fundamental law—and the vote was a secondary formality.
Communists allowed the slaves, women, and illegal aliens to vote.
Who will be in the next tranche, children?
Exactly how much flimflam, fraud, and deception will actual Americans succumb to before the nation is conclusively dispatched into confusion and chaos?
The communists not only intend to vote, they intend to “fundamentally transform” the population and Constitution of the United States of America.

It’s time for the DOJ to file Logan Act violations against these Democrats. The Democrats maliciously ruined and bankrupted Gen. Michael Flynn after Flynn served our country for 30 years in intelligence and combat by concocting lies about him and then setting him up under false pretenses. It was a final disgusting act of the Obama administration as they attempted conceal their malfeasance. These Dems are trying to negotiate and correspond with foreign officials “with intent to influence the[ir] measures … in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States.” They can be imprisoned or fined — and should be!
While it is true that many Europeans, particularly those who have been great friends of the US for decades, are currently in shock about the US, it is not because they now consider the United States as a lawless, autocratic nation. Those Europeans are in shock because of the conduct of the American President. Under the pretense of “America First”, President Trump acts like a streetganger who goes after the weak and schmoozes with the strong. He brutally offends and insults allies of many decades and makes friends with a dictator, gangster and even murderer (Putin). He plays ‘tough guy’ but spends much of his time commiserating, with the voice of a sissy, that the rest of the world has “ripped-off the strongest power in the world” for a very long time. In short, President Trump acts like a bully and Europeans would never have imagined that a bully can become President of the US. I share many of the criticisms which Americans voice about Europeans, particularly about the EU: lack of democratic legitimacy; economic protectionism; military free-loading; constrained free speech; etc. A bully will not change that. On the contrary, a bully deprives the United States of the credibility and moral leadership which it used to have, both factors which can take ages to build up and which can be lost in a short time. It is a tragedy for America!
Absolutely Trump is wielding the power of the US as a weapon against the world.
That is unusual for a US president.
It is the norm for all other world leaders.
Every leader of every nation is required to put the interests of its own people FIRST.
Trump is not pretending to put America First – he is DOING IT.
That is a departure from the conduct of US presidents probably since FDR.
But it is the actual job.
Is he acting like a “streetganger” – arguably – just as every other world leader does.
Is he using the tremendous power of the US against weaker nations that have abused the american unwillingness to stand up for itself for decades – absolutely.
But UNLIKE most of the leaders of the Rest of the world – Trump is merely seeking a level playing field.
You tax US imports, we tax your exports. You use your laws to make it impossible to sell american products in your countries – we make it difficult for you to sell your products in the US.
Other nations have had high tariffs and barriers to entry on US products for decades.
They have used economic power they do not have to artificially advantage their own interests and harm those of americans and american workers.
But look at the outlines of the deals that are being made.
Trump has the rest of the world negotiating to REMOVE all tariffs, all barriers to trade.
It is looking very much like we are approaching a golden age of TRUE Free Trade.
I expect Trump to use the Same might of the US against countries like the EU and Brazil that target US companies in other ways.
I expect Trump to tell the europeans – you can have your own laws for censorship – but you can not use them to target the speech of americans, and you can not use them to raise to cost of US companies trying to do business in YOUR countries.
I would hope he goes even further and tells the EU – you CAN NOT block or censor US companies – even from reporting the speech of YOUR people, or the US government will hold you accountable.
I would hope that just as Trump is bringing real free trade back to the world,
That he will bring real free speech back to not just the US but the world.
Absolutely Trump insults people who cross him – and he turns on a dime.
Absolutely Putin is a thug and a murderer, So is Erodigan and MBS and pretty much all our Allies.
At worst Putin is more overt. Whether you like it or not many world leaders are pretty bad people.
Some of those bad people are US allies some enemies.
Trump does act like a bully. As does every other significant world leader.
We did not get to high tariffs and barriers to entry in the rest of the world by those countries leaders playing nice.
The fundimental difference it Trump seeks to restore parity – either high tariffs and barriers to entry all around, or low ones. Regardless, the US treats other countries like they treat us.
What is unique is that Trump is weilding the power of the largest economy in the world to accomplish the western dream – true free trade.
That is the kind of bullying that americans are getting behind.
“I share many of the criticisms which Americans voice about Europeans, particularly about the EU: lack of democratic legitimacy; economic protectionism; military free-loading; constrained free speech; etc. ”
Then what are you complaining about ?
“A bully will not change that. On the contrary, a bully deprives the United States of the credibility and moral leadership which it used to have, both factors which can take ages to build up and which can be lost in a short time. It is a tragedy for America!”
ROFL.
Trump is restoring US credibility.
While Adam Smith was writing about individuals.
The standards are the same for nation.
“It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages. Nobody but a beggar chuses to depend chiefly upon the benevolence of his fellow-citizens. ”
Adam Smith
The standard of living of the entire world has not been raised at an exponential rate by charity, benevolence, or even technology. It has skyrocketed because we crossed a tipping point were government effectively allowed the greatest individual freedom while precluding the private use of force.
Free markets and freedom generally and rising standards of living are NOT driven by charity, but by people seeking their own interests but precluded from using force to acheive them.
All the things about the EU that you claim to dislike are uses of FORCE to constrain individual freedom.
Trump is telling the world – if you “bully” americans, american businesses, american workers – we will bully you back.
Trump has a reputation for keeping his promises. And THAT is precisely why Europe and the left are terrified by him.
But contra your claims that is ACTUAL credibility, Trust, Respect.
Credibility is not having warm fuzzy feelings for others. Credibility is the certainty that others will do as they say they will.
Trump has credibility. Warm fuzzy feelings get neither nation nor individuals anywhere.
If your spouse tells you constantly that they love you, while stabbing you in the back and raiding your joint bank account – is that trust credibility ?
Trust, credibility is NOT about love or emotion.
It is about faith that an actor will do what they say, because they have done so over and over in the past.

“Absolutely Trump is wielding the power of the US as a weapon against the world.”
You seem to believe that foreign companies and governments pay for Trump’s tariffs.
Those tariffs, a tax, in fact are paid for by *American* companies (big and small) and by *American* consumers. They are making it extraordinarily difficult, and in some cases impossible, for American companies to do any long-term planning.
Trump’s tariffs do *not* put America first. They force Americans to pay for the sins (real or imagined) of foreign governments and companies.
That wealth-destroying policy is one of the greatest self-inflicted wounds of the last 100 years. Only those tariffs don’t just inflict the administration. They inflict harm on all of us.
“You seem to believe that foreign companies and governments pay for Trump’s tariffs.”
Other countries, especially China, have often reduced their prices to induce the consumer to buy. Is that bad?
Sometimes the tariff is to protect industry.
Sometimes, the tariff is a bargaining chip.
If other countries reduce their tariffs, that can help Americans.
There are many moving parts, so to consider only one is foolish.
You don’t know the inside story on the tariffs, yet you draw unfounded conclusions.

Did World Trade Center Building 7 really collapse due to an office fuel load fire?
Did the World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7) really completely collapse in freefall, symmetrically into its own footprint – in seven seconds – due to an office fuel load fire? I used to believe that – the official narrative, but now, I can no longer accept that explanation. For many of us, this is still a visceral and emotional subject, but it’s been 23 years since September 11, 2001. A lot of the strong sentiments have died down enough to objectively consider more reasonable, scientific, and physical (physics) explanations. WTC 7 was a 47-story steel highrise that stood at 610 ft. (190 m) and was clad in red granite masonry. WTC Tower 1 was the first tower hit by a jetliner at 8:46 a.m. and collapsed at 10:28 a.m. The collapsing debris of Tower 1 was claimed to have started the fire in WTC 7, which collapsed at 5:20 p.m., six hours and 52 minutes later. The Lower Manhattan highrise building was not hit by an airliner, and no firefighter lives were lost in that total collapse. So why has the American fire service been so reluctant to discuss this subject? Why isn’t this collapse, which according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), was caused by the fire from normal office fuel loads, the #1 case study in highrise firefighting history? It’s time to start asking the hard questions. I’ve yet to see a training class or article on this historic incident, nor have I seen any NFPA standards changed to address the implications of this catastrophic structural failure. Did you know that not a single Type I Fire Resistive highrise building has ever collapsed due to fire? Not one in the United States, or in North America, or anywhere else in the world – only WTC 7. I was unaware of this fact until it was brought to my attention by members of Protecting All Protectors Alliance (PAPA). If the magnitude of this event is considered in isolation, without distractions of its historical context – in other words, had it happened in any other building, in any other city, on any other date – it would be the #1 case study in highrise firefighting. Our strategy, tactics, and standards would have been reviewed and changed to incorporate the possibility of these types of buildings falling upon us – at freefall acceleration in as short a time as seven seconds – as WTC 7 did. It’s not that we haven’t had collapses in highrise buildings, we have. But they have primarily occurred during the construction phase of the building, or in portions of the building that were heavily damaged by a fire, but they have been localized collapses, area collapses, or partial collapses. We have never had a finished and occupied highrise building experience a complete global and freefall collapse within its own footprint due to fire (Image 4). I’d assert that this is a significant event which the fire service should revisit and objectively study until we come to agreement on the true cause of the collapse of WTC 7.
https://internationalfireandsafetyjournal.com/did-world-trade-center-building-7-really-collapse-due-to-an-office-fuel-load-fire/
I will not address your claims regarding WTC 7.
But absolutely the Twin Towers collapsed from fires using office fuel loads.
Standards have not changed – because there is no current standard change that would protect buildings like this from these threats.
Steel loses 50% of its strength at approx 550C.
Steel structures are typically designed for a 1.6 factor of safety before catastrophic failure.
That means at 550C a steel structure has 80% of the strength it is designed for and WILL FAIL.
Jet fuel burns at 300C
NIST puts out data on temperatures that can occur in office fires – they can get much higher than jet fuel fires.
Particularly in an enclosed space.
Separately the jets striking the WTC caused massive damage to the fire protection of the steel. ‘
Next, the amount of Mass of these buildings is enormous and the force vector from that mass goes STRAIGHT DOWN.
You actually have to go to an enormous amount of trouble to get a collapse that does NOT go straight down.
Further the speed at which you get a collapse will be most strongly correlated to the mass above the damage.
The building that took the least time to fall was the one struck LOWEST.
I do not know the specifics of WTC 7 – but the collapse of a 100 story building damaged about midway is going to be much different from the collapse of a 20 story building under any circumstances.
There may be things we do not know about the WTC attack.
But the claims that something other than the fires started by the jets brought down the towers is complete nonsense
On the day of the event, I KNEW instantly that fire fighters had a very very short time to put out the fires or the buildings were coming down. I strongly suspect that many of the firefighters – or atleast their leaders KNEW when they sent men into those towers that they were sending them to their death. Their job was to buy time to get as many people out as possible. FDNY might not have considered a plane impact before, but they were well aware of what a fire would do to the WTC, and that they had very little time to put it out. In this case – they had even less because the fire protection fo the steel was damaged by flying a 747 through the building.
Why isn’t Bldg #7 the #1 case study in highrise firefighting?
Focus on the author’s subject. Process his point.
“If the magnitude of this event is considered in isolation, without distractions of its historical context – in other words, had it happened in any other building, in any other city, on any other date – it would be the #1 case study in highrise firefighting. Our strategy, tactics, and standards would have been reviewed and changed to incorporate the possibility of these types of buildings falling upon us – at freefall acceleration in as short a time as seven seconds – as WTC 7 did.”
Why isnt WTC #7 at the top of everybodies list of studies ?
That is trivial – because how many times in the future do you expect two od the largest buildings in the world to collapse next to a much smaller building ?
What happened to WTC #7 is unlikely to ever happen again.
I do not know why it collapsed.
It could have been damaged by shrapnel from the Towers,
It could have been damaged by the shock waves as two of the largest buildings in the world generated an earthquake just yards away.
It could have been the harmonics of the shock waves from the collapse of the towers.
Whatever it was it is a once in a million years event.
Ya, it looked like a concerted effort in the air and ground. Detonations were used on ground in key spots to drop it after planes hit.

“Well, start with Building 7,” Sen. Johnson told Johnson. “Again, I don’t know if you can find structural engineers other than the ones that have the corrupt investigations like NIST that would say that that thing didn’t come down in any other way than a controlled demolition.”
It will be very interesting to see if any serious investigation results, or whether Johnson gets coerced or blackmailed into allowing the issue to be buried again.
Sorry not buying it. You pushed me into looking into WTC 7.
47 stories, damaged by teh collapse of the towers, well documented that fires started internally.
Buildings fire supression system failed – because the collapse of the towers had destroyed all local Water supply
also cutting out power that fire supression systems depend on
There is not a steel framed office building in the world that will not collapse if it has uncontrolled internal office fires.
Again – 47 stories tall – when it fails it is coming STRAIGHT down.
I am NOT an NIST structural engineer – I am an architect with 4 years of Structures taught at GA Tech and RPI.
One of the things we studied was what happens when steels building have fires.
Even in low steel buildings like warehouses – the steel will turn to speghetti if subject to an uncontrolled fire.
We protect steel building two ways – with fire protection on the steel – this is essentially insulation and does little more than buy you some time. Further if the insulation is not put on perfectly over miles of steel – one defect – and the building comes down.
A steel building weakened by fire that has a single significant column fail at one point – it coming down.
With respect to WTC 7 – with no water and no power and fires through the building
It was only a question of time before it came down.
With respect to ALL Tall buildings – once the START to collapse, they will come STRAIGHT DOWN usually in seconds.
Though the collapse will be faster the LOWER the first point of failure is – the more mass there is above.
Most building structures are STATICS – while there are some exceptions to this – wind and earthquake design as an example
The safe design of building presumes the FORCES are static – not moving. F=Ma once a building starts moving – particularly vertically which it is not designed for, the forces that the structure are subjected to are EXPONENTIALLY larger than than they can possibly be designed for.
Again F=Ma Statics assumes no acceleration – so F=M
ALL Steel buildings will fail if they catch fire and the fire is not put out quickly enough
ALL tall buildings will fail catastrophically and suddenly – given the large amount of vertical mass that ends up in motion after the first small failure.
There is very little difference between the way a “controlled demolition and a fire will cause a building to collapse.
In both instances there will be a sudden failure that results in the collapse of the building.
AW fire may cause other minor failers throughout the building before the “collapse” – but the effects of these will be minimal and possibly unobservable. The failure of horizontal members – which likely will occur first will cause beams to bend and floors to stretch and buckle, but that will not bring the building down – atleast not until the joints between beams and columns fail.
The main collapse will occur when a column or a beam column joint fails and significant mass ends up in motion.
Once that happens even undammaged portions of the building will fail instantly as they are suddently subject to loads 10, 100 10,000 times larger than they are designed for.
A “controlled demolition” takes out a few columns at a small number of locations starting the building in motion and that is what brings the building down The intact structure of the building – the parts NOT blown up by the controlled demolition, fail because the building starts moving and F = MA.
That any of these actors are not in possession of the awareness to see they are a fascist regime is a given at this point; we have already seen and lived through, mercifully briefly, what happens if the modern left are ever in power ever again. I repeat myself: sane dems, if there are any, who denounce what the DNC and its collaborators are doing, admit you were wrong and do something different. We are on a course headed straight to hell if you do not find your spines, and soon.
Europe is likely a lost cause for the time being, and we have to steel ourselves against their madness. That someone like Nina even has a microphone tells you how far the West has fallen; that she had to go to another country to continue her petulant and totalitarian barking is also telling. America ain’t done, and we can’t let go. We aren’t over the hump yet.
