“Take out Every Single Person Who Supports Trump”: Maine Teacher Calls for the Secret Service to Go on a Killing Spree

We have been discussing the increasing political violence on the left. That includes a student who published a column recently on “when must we kill them?” I noted that such views are often reflections of the many extremists currently in teaching. That was evident this week in Maine, where English teacher JoAnna St. Germain of Waterville Senior High School called upon the Secret Service to kill Trump and his supporters.

On Tuesday, St., Germain  called on Facebook for the Secret Service to “step up” and avoid a civil war by killing Trump and his supporters. She insisted that it would not constitute an assassination because Trump is not a legitimate president “duly elected by the American people.”

She explained that “If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself.”

Whatever “skill set” St. Germain possess, sanity does not appear to be part of it.

St. Germain later responded to the shock of many that a teacher would be advocating murder, posting “People are quite angry with me for stating openly that Trump and his cronies need to die […] If you’re mad that I’m speaking truth to power? F**k you.”

She insisted that she was not advocating mass murder, but just serial killings, stressing that we should kill Trump and “those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions.”

As for those upset by such calls for violence, she supplied the names of the school superintendent and others who are her superiors, adding

I posted knowing I’d likely lose my job and benefits. I have zero shame about what I’ve said. I’m not backtracking a single thing.

I believe Trump and every sycophant he has surrounded himself with (this is not you – if you’re reading this, this doesn’t apply to you. You are beneath his notice and mine) needs to die.

I believe this with the same forceful belief that Hitler and his sycophants needed to die, before they murdered 6 million innocent Jewish persons.

St. Germain is not the first academic to use such language.

Indeed, some faculty members continue to make the news for violent political acts.

It is now common to hear inflammatory language from professors advocating “detonating white people,” denouncing policecalling for Republicans to suffer,  strangling police officerscelebrating the death of conservativescalling for the killing of Trump supporters, supporting the murder of conservative protesters and other outrageous statements. One professor who declared that there is “nothing wrong” with such acts of violence as killing conservatives was actually promoted.

That is the culture that produces this type of extreme rhetoric among students. These faculty members have normalized violent speech.

Of course, some professors have gone further and committed acts of political violence. Such conduct should be prosecuted and those faculty members fired. However, even in those extreme cases, liberal faculty have often rallied around their colleagues.

Years ago, many of us were shocked by the conduct of University of Missouri communications professor Melissa Click who directed a mob against a student journalist covering a Black Lives Matter event. Yet, Click was hired by Gonzaga University. Since that time, we have seen a steady stream of professors joining students in shouting down, committing property damageparticipating in riotsverbally attacking students, or even taking violent action in protests.

At the University of California Santa Barbara, professors actually rallied around feminist studies associate professor Mireille Miller-Young, who physically assaulted pro-life advocates and tore down their display.  Despite pleading guilty to criminal assault, she was not fired and received overwhelming support from the students and faculty. She was later honored as a model for women advocates.

At Hunter College in New York, Professor Shellyne Rodríguez was shown trashing a pro-life display of students.

She was captured on a videotape telling the students that “you’re not educating s–t […] This is f–king propaganda. What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next? This is bulls–t. This is violent. You’re triggering my students.”

Unlike the professor, the students remained calm and respectful. One even said “sorry” to the accusation that being pro-life was triggering for her students.

Rodríguez continued to rave, stating, “No you’re not — because you can’t even have a f–king baby. So you don’t even know what that is. Get this s–t the f–k out of here.” In an Instagram post, she is then shown trashing the table.

Hunter College, however, did not consider this unhinged attack to be sufficient to terminate Rodríguez.

It was only after she later chased reporters with a machete that the college fired Rodríguez. She was then hired by another college.

Another example comes from the State University of New York at Albany, where sociology professor Renee Overdyke shut down a pro-life display and then resisted arrest. One student is heard screaming, “She’s a [expletive] professor.” That, of course, is the point.

After losing the last election, some on the left are turning to calls for violence or committing political violence. Ironically, they do so in the name of democracy. That is precisely why rage is so addictive and contagious. It gives you license to do things that you would ordinarily never do.

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro professor of public interest law at George Washington University and the author of “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”

      1. Waste of time isn’t it. As to education, another collapsed system. Really bad. Nothing here anymore except foul language, bad music, bad food, bad media… very, very boring.

  1. Somebody needs to take a close look at Colleges of Education.

They seem to be turning out a lot of The Worst and the Stupidest these days.

  2. These Lefties are insane. The need to be removed from our streets just like TdA or MS13.

  3. Here’s a great opportunity to test judicial power.

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/05/showdown-florida-attorney-general-rebuffs-obama-judges-order

The AG says the court has no jurisdiction. The judge says she will hold the AG in contempt.

Let’s see if she has the guts for this showdown.

    Then Trump can pardon him.

    Then what judge?

She should remember what he did when he was shot. Do you really think you can best this guy? He’s way ahead of you. You are just helping move more public opinion against the courts. The shame is that when a court actually renders a sound, well-founded legal judgment we all will be skeptical, and that’s a shame.

I never thought American courts would look so tawdry.

  4. ASHLI BABBITT – $30 MILLION

“Trump administration reaches settlement with family of Ashli Babbitt, rioter killed on Jan. 6, 2021”

“The Trump administration has reached a settlement with the family of Ashli Babbitt, the Trump supporter who was shot and killed while in the mob breaching the House Speaker’s Lobby on Jan. 6, 2021.” “Multiple sources told CBS News the settlement has been reached in principle but is not yet signed. In a court proceeding Friday, a plaintiff’s attorney confirmed the settlement in principle was reached. It would avert a trial and further proceedings in a $30 million civil suit filed by the conservative activist group Judicial Watch on behalf of Babbitt’s estate, including her late husband.”
    _____________________

Now Trump’s DOJ must prosecute the decorated, award-winning, brave, and courageous federal “police officer” who caused the death of a physically inferior, unarmed female, Ashli Babbitt.

Meanwhile, a police officer who was doing his job protecting the good citizens of Minneapolis is in prison for no reason.

      1. Law enforcement officers only have immunity when they follow their department policy and procedures. There is no blanket immunity. The department itself can be sued.

    1. Tom : Babbitt got shot because she was trespassing in the Capitol building and proceeded through a broken side light to access the Speaker’s Lobby—which was the last barrier to the floor of the House,—despite the fact that guns were pointed at her. She was totally at fault for exercising poor judgment and believing Trump’s Big Lie. She had no legal right to be where she was, much less try to force her way onto the floor of the House. The case, if true, should have gone to trial—- her family would have lost and if Pammie Jo Blondie’s DOJ agreed to settle a loser of a case and pay millions of our tax dollars in damages to assuage Trump’s ego and support the Big Lie—a case that should have been disposed of by summary judgment— she should be impeached. That would be legal malpractice and misuse of public funds. She should also lose her law license.

And how could Judicial Watch have standing to pursue a wrongful death claim in the first place? Wrongful death claims are usually brought by either a surviving spouse or dependent next of kin or a decedent’s estate. And how could a deceased spouse collect damages? The whole story stinks. Truthfully, Trump bears some responsibility for Babbitt’s death by spreading the Big Lie. But for that, J6 would not have happened.

But Trump, who can never be wrong, announced that he is planning to pay not just damages but REPARATIONS to the J6 insurrectionists, including those who violently attacked Capitol Police officers. Most Americans strongly oppose this.

The payment to Babbitt, if true, and the reparations are all part of the malignant narcissism of Trump and the Big Lie—Babbitt and the insurrectionists can’t be wrong because they committed crimes on Trump’s behalf, and he can never be wrong. He says that his “landslide victory” was stolen and he’ll never stop telling that lie— so all the fallout resulting from that lie needs to be compensated because according to Trump, beating up police and doing massive damage to the Capitol building was righteous.

He’s taking money away from starving babies and Head Start and paying damages to someone who broke into the Capitol and was trying to reach the floor of the House at his direction to stop the Congress from finalizing Biden’s legitimate victory.

Trump’s ego is the reason he and MAGA media lie about the strong economy Trump inherited, which was the envy of the world. Trump’s even trying to blame Biden for the collapsing economy caused by his stupid tariffs. He’s even trying to blame Biden for next quarter’s economic meltdown which economists are predicting.

And Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd— we all saw it. He’s in prison where he belongs.

      1. Gigenius

        Please explain these three things.

You have repeatedly called for Turley to be sanctioned by the bar for questioning the integrity of judges.

You have repeatedly claimed to be an attorney (which we know is a lie)

You have repeatedly questioned the integrity of Justices Barrett, Alito, and Thomas.

Are you ready to admit you are a LIAR?

“There’s a hell of a lot of people who, other than the black people who were brought here as slaves, who came to this country illegally,” snapped Anna Navarro.

    It was on after that.

“Last time I checked, I’m black. You’re not,” shot back Shermichael Singleton.

“I’m Latino, and my people are being racially profiled,” responded Navarro, which did not sit well with Singleton, and rightfully so. It’s a cheap shot.

“Do I have to remind you of the history of my people? Do you really want to go there?” shouted Shermichael as Philip cut to a commercial.

    Very bad idea, Abe!

  6. Yet another illogical ideologue exercising freedom of speech in a senseless disservice to themselves. All that she too can now be certain of is that all the bureaucracies that govern her fate from now until her end know all that is needed to know about her life. They will be watching you, JoAnna. More than you know.

  7. Is St. Germain so stupid that she doesn’t realize that most, if not all, of those that she advocates be “taken out” are licensed to carry a weapon and more likely than not will shoot back? And Maine parents entrust her with their children? Maine seems to have gone bonkers since marijuana was legalized. It’s like the Maineiacs are running the asylum now.

  10. JoAnna St. Germain may not look like a revolutionary but she does speak the same language as so many of the MSM, Democrat politicos, social personalities, and activists. May the common folks who proudly celebrate the rights and liberties of our constitutional republic remain calm and aware. Otherwise, one would be ignoring today’s revolutionaries at their own peril.

    2. No, it is not a threat. She explicitly said that she would not be doing this, because she hasn’t got the skills necessary, or the means and opportunity. That’s why she wants the Secret Service and the military to do it, since they have all of those. Advocating murder is her constitutional right, and nobody can do anything to her for it.

I doubt she would do this without a nod from the coven and from Roberts.

    She maybe isn’t that stupid.

But it looks as if Roberts really is hoping for a constitutional conflict. Maybe he is that stupid.

The President and the Congress have independent duties to the Constitution and their understanding of it. If the courts are clearly wrong then the President or the Congress have a duty to act on their best judgment.

I wonder if the House could pass a resolution supporting Trump? It wouldn’t have the force of law but it would strengthen the President’s hand.

The courts can’t micromanage the executive.

    1. Ketanji Brown does not know what a woman is. A woman is a human being that is capable of bearing children. More to the point, Ketanji Brown does not know how to adequately, effectively, and correctly answer a question. Ketanji Brown maybe isn’t that stupid.

      1. The 97 senators voted to confirm even after the moronic display. Yes, we need to check their undergrad and graduate work. Literature majors sit on the SCOTUS most commonly history majors. Kagan and Gorsuch both hold degrees in philosophy from Oxford.

Blackburn’s retort should have been, yes , exactly . We do need biologists on the court and some MDs, anthropologists, too. Thank you for saying so.

The old excuse of–> I can’t say because cases may come up. Should be deleted.

What is a biological woman. A rose by any other name just won’t cut it.

      2. Maybe ketanj thinks women are like toast. There are at least 96 kinds of toast. Whole wheat, rye, bleached flour, sesame, sour dough—> I’d like a 5 by 7 inch baked unbleached flour with yeast and then placed in a oven until its crunchy with butter and jam usually eaten with a white thing with a yellow center over easy thing…

No I can’t tell you what toast is. Smart aleck…I wouldn’t tell you if I did know southern racist white lady and yes, I profile and intend to do so after I’m confirmed white honky, I don’t need your cracker vote whiteJesus. .

    2. Young – they’re nine scorpions in a bottle. She could be on a frolic of her own. She’s not all that bright, not least because she can’t define the word “woman.” Roberts is paralyzed by uncertainty of what to do. My best guess is he’s a deer in the headlights.

I really like your resolution idea. Oddly, I haven’t heard anyone else propose it.

      1. Isn’t that the nature of affirmative action—to eschew merit and promote the unqualified?

      2. Oldmanfromkansas,

Thanks. The lower federal courts are courts of limited jurisdiction and the jurisdiction they have [in fact their very existence] is granted by Congress so it occurred to me that a House resolution clarifying the limits of their allowed jurisdiction would have a significant impact even if it is short of being a law. Could be a significant warning shot across the bow reminding the courts who is really in charge. Maybe call it the Notice to Roberts Resolution.

    3. The executive power is vested solely and exclusively “in a President.”

No legislation or adjudication may exercise any aspect, facet, degree, or amount of executive power.

As unfortunate as it is, legislation and adjudication must be configured without any exercise of executive power.

The legislative and judicial branches may not violate or amend the Constitution by the exercise of their powers.

If the legislative or judicial branches choose to amend the Constitution, they must adhere to Article 5 in that document.

      Article 2, Section 1

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.

      1. Wise oldlawyer “She is that stupid.”

That seems to be true. The other day even Sotomayor interrupted her to get her to shut up.

Somebody posted a word count bar graph of the justices that showed that Kentanji spoke A lot more than the other justices. The two truly smart justices, Thomas and Alito, spoke the least.

        1. Crazy isn’t it… that way no one will listen. Her hypotheticals are truly whacko. Poor thing.

          1. Sotomayor is feeling he same relief Jimmy Carter felt when Biden was elected, whew, I’m not the dumbest anymore.

    4. While in Puerto Rico Jackson made oblique political statements against Trump. She was confirmed when 3 Republicans joined 50 yes votes making it 53 to 47. They were Collins, Romney and Murkowski.

Too bad. Judges should not be political. They should not see faces.

  13. Another twisted perv that didn’t get their deviate way. Lefties are merely ultra spoiled children without a brain.

  14. The Secret Service and DOJ have some options at the Federal level.

Assaulting a President is a serious federal crime. Under 18 U.S.C. § 1751, assaulting a President, President-elect, or Vice President is a felony, punishable by up to ten years imprisonment or a fine, or both. Additionally, attempting to kill or kidnap the President carries even harsher penalties, including imprisonment for life.
    Legal Framework:

    §18 U.S.C. § 1751:
This section specifically addresses presidential and presidential staff assassination, kidnapping, and assault. It outlines penalties for various actions, including assaulting the President, President-elect, or Vice President.

    §18 U.S.C. § 871: .
This section deals with threats against the President, President-elect, Vice President, and other officers in the line of presidential succession. It prohibits knowingly and willfully making threats to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm on these individuals.

    §18 U.S.C. § 879:
This section covers threats against former Presidents and certain other Secret Service protectees.
    Penalties:
    .
The penalties for violating these statutes can include fines, imprisonment, or both. For example, assaulting a President under 18 U.S.C. § 1751 carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment. Attempting to kill or kidnap the President can result in a life sentence.

The Secret Service and DOJ have some options available in Maine.

In Maine, aggravated assault is a felony, generally classified as a Class B crime, carrying penalties of up to 20 years in prison. It’s defined as intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causing serious bodily injury, or causing bodily injury with a dangerous weapon, or under circumstances showing extreme indifference to human life.

In addition the Assault was broadcast via Facebook, of which violates a number of additional Laws.

Ms. St., Germain may be getting a room at the luxury resort for Terrorist in the beautiful Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp soon.

    1. #. It’s a stunt but can result in a Luigi Mangione and what’s worse they don’t care. It’s lawless and in cases insanity. It’s led by media of peat and repeat.

If it’s against the law, address it. Threats against a president are crimes. Death threats are crimes. She failed to say what crime DJT committed to deserve the death penalty.

      1. Threats are criminal, but she didn’t threaten anything. She ADVOCATED that someone else should murder the President, and that is her constitutional right.

    2. She didn’t assault anyone, she didn’t threaten anyone, she didn’t terrorize anyone. Her statement is pure ADVOCACY, and that means it is 100% protected speech. It is black-letter law that ALL “mere advocacy”, no matter of what, is protected.

  15. Turley begins today’s little latrine piece with “We have been discussing the increasing political violence on the left”. WHAT “political violence”? A student or faculty member publishing a column isn’t engaging in anything other than exercising his or her freedom of speech. Some Americans do passionately dislike Trump–and for very good reasons, including taking away funding to help starving people, cutting cancer research, allowing his largest campaign donor access to our most-sensitive personal data that they downloaded on their PCs, and carrying out Project 2025 after lying about that being the agenda. But this is nothing compared to Trump calling for his faithful fans to “fight like hell or you’re not going to have a country any more” or telling the Proud Boys to “stand down and stand by”. Trump knew who the Proud Boys were–and they showed up on January 6th to try to coerce Congress to let Trump stay in office after he lost. They had a stash of guns and other weapons in a hotel room across the Potomac, waiting for Trump to lead them, they wore flak vests, pushed past the Capitol Police in riot formation, did reconnaisance visits before January 6th to plot how to divert Capitol Police away from one point of entry so as to gain entrance at a less-secure point of entry. The coup de grace was Trump sitting on his enormous ass for over 3 hours, watching the violence unfold, seeing the faithful “fighting like hell”, hunting for Mike Pence, with a noose, intent on killing him and Nancy Pelosi, and ignoring pleas to call them off. Sorry, Turley, but no one on “The Left” and no Democrat has ever done anything even close to this, and the isolated instances of rhetoric you cite in your pathetic effort to create a comparison is lame. And, did you MAGAts know that in addition to pardoning the J6 criminals, even those who seriously injured police officers, Trump is calling not just for compensation for them–but actual reparations–from our tax dollars? And, Turley chooses to write about some extremist instead of the convicted felon who lied to get into office, pardoning those who committed serious crimes in his name and is now wanting to actually compensate them for tearing up the Capitol and injuring police officers.

“The Left” isn’t full of gun-toting non college educated whites who resent educated people, especially women and minorities. In fact, in the first 100 days of the joke known as the “second Trump presidency” literally millions of people have taken to the streets to protest Donny Two Dolls and Real President Muskrat–and there hasn’t been ANY ACTUAL violence. You have to look long and hard to find some crackpot who says something that you can use to hook the MAGA gullibles, and they fall for it every single time. And, you get a two-fer when it’s someone involved with academia, because it checks off a second MAGA-attack box–the alleged inferiority of higher education and those who have availed themselves of higher education. Just look at the comments on this blog.

    1. This:
“Just look at the comments on this blog.”

      And these:

      “Real President Muskrat”

“Trump sitting on his enormous ass”

      “the MAGA gullibles,”

      “gun-toting non college educated whites”

      “today’s little latrine piece “

      “did you MAGAts know”

And then this, the coup de grace:

      “isolated instances of rhetoric”

Gigenius, did you know that irony is completely lost on the illiterate and low IQ?

Do you think your despicable behavior is excused because you “genuinely dislike Trump”?

Are your children proud of the way you behave here, or is your daily diarrhea “mommy’s little secret”?

Who on the left has done anything like what you mention? I seem to remember Trump being shot in the ear and another failed attempt to put a leak in him.

Or maybe we could ask Steve Scalise if he remembers any violence from the left.

      You are truly an imbecile.

      1. Steven,
        Well said.
The leftists advocate violence and then defend it by normalizing it.

    2. “and there hasn’t been ANY ACTUAL violence.”

Another LIE from the pathological LIAR, Gienius.

Violent attacks from anti-Musk, anti-Trump protesters plague nation, compel GOP lawmakers to take precautions
‘ICE = KKK’: New Mexico’s GOP headquarters firebombed, vandalized over weekend

A spate of violent incidents targeting Tesla car owners, dealerships, charging stations and Republicans in general have been a common occurrence since President Donald Trump took office, compelling some GOP lawmakers to take certain safety measures.

The pattern of violent incidents comes after a new report from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), which found that increasingly violent rhetoric online is becoming more normalized than ever. NCRI’s findings showed that more than half of left-leaning respondents said killing Trump would be at least “somewhat justified.”

The increased normalization of violent rhetoric was exhibited in audio recordings of voice mails and handwritten letters sent to GOP North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis.

“Thom Tillis, afraid of death threats? Then get the f— out of office,” a caller said in a voicemail sent to the senator’s office. In an unsigned letter sent to Tillis, his staffers were referred to as “sacrificial lambs” who “signed up to be [Tillis’s] shield.”

Citing the uptick in “Democrat threats of violence,” GOP Wyoming Rep. Harriet Hageman moved all of her in-person town halls online. The move came after an incident in which an attendee of one of her town halls followed Hageman as she left and initiated a physical confrontation with her staff, eventually requiring police to intervene. “What was formerly taboo culturally has become acceptable,” Joel Finkelstein, lead author of the NCRI report, told Fox News Digital. “We are seeing a clear shift – glorification, increased attempts and changing norms – all converging into what we define as ‘assassination culture.’”

These new rhetorical norms have translated into significant real-life violence, including just a few days ago at the New Mexico GOP’s headquarters in Albuquerque.

Suspects set the building on fire using incendiary devices, and they spray-painted the words “ICE = KKK” across the side of the building. An investigation into the incident, which did not result in any injuries, was initiated after the incident. So far, no arrests have been publicly reported.

Meanwhile, Tesla owners, show rooms and charging stations have been targets of political violence as agitators find ways to challenge CEO Elon Musk and the Trump administration’s attempts to reform the government.

Outside Portland, Oregon, a man was arrested for setting a Tesla dealership on fire using Molotov cocktails and then returning the next day to fire more than a dozen bullets into the same showroom. The shooting was the second time in a week that someone opened fire on the Tesla dealership, damaging windows and vehicles but not hurting anyone.

In Boston, seven Tesla charging stations were engulfed in an intentionally set blaze, while in Las Vegas a fire caused numerous Teslas to explode. According to witness reports, the suspect in the Las Vegas arson also fired shots at the dealership and spray-painted the word “Resist” across the dealership’s front entrance.

Meanwhile, in addition to attacks on Tesla businesses and charging stations, individuals who simply own a Tesla have also been victims of attacks spurred by anti-Musk and anti-Trump sentiment.

In New York City, vandals targeted multiple Tesla vehicles parked around the city, etching swastikas and the word “Nazi” on their passenger-side doors.

The attacks on Tesla vehicles haven’t only been when they are vacant either.

Multiple videos of Tesla drivers getting forcibly stopped in the middle of the road and accosted have surfaced on social media. In Seattle, a woman driving a Tesla was cut off by a masked driver on her way to a doctor’s appointment before he got out of his car and accosted the woman for owning a Tesla. The driver indicated to local news that the incident made her scared to drive her Tesla.

NCRI’s survey found that in addition to a majority of left-leaning respondents justifying violent political attacks against Trump, about 40% also agreed it was justifiable to destroy Tesla dealerships.

“Property destruction wasn’t just an outlier opinion, it clustered tightly with support for political assassinations and other forms of violence,” Finkelstein said. “This points to a coherent belief system, not just isolated grievances.”

In this chart, more than half of left-leaning respondents said killing Donald Trump would be at least “somewhat justified,” according to NCRI’s national survey. The study found that 55% of self-identified left-of-center participants justified Trump’s assassination to some degree, while 48% did the same for Elon Musk. Last week, GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives that attempts to get every Democrat on the record over whether they condemn the violent acts or not.

While some Democrats have condemned acts of vandalism against Tesla, they have refrained from labeling it “domestic terrorism.” Additionally, a forceful condemnation from Democrat leadership has yet to surface.

“My House Resolution will make clear where all members of Congress stand,” Boebert said after she introduced the resolution. “Do they condemn domestic terrorism against Tesla or do they endorse it completely? The American people deserve to know where their representatives stand when it comes to condemning domestic terrorism.”
