FBI: Swalwell Did Admit to Sleeping with Alleged Chinese Spy and May Have Received Illegal Foreign Contributions

We all recall Bill Clinton’s infamous declaration that “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.” One of his supporters, disgraced former Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Cal.), now has his own “that person” moment. FBI material released this week shows that Swalwell admitted to what he refused to admit publicly: he did have sex with “that person.” Moreover, the material confirms that he not only enabled Fang Fang, an alleged Chinese spy, in pushing foreign interns for his office but may have received illegal foreign contributions. What is most striking about this report is that Nancy Pelosi was briefed on this information and still refused to remove Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee. After the scandal broke, Swalwell was repeatedly asked about his association. Still, he dismissed suggestions that he had a sexual relationship with an accused Chinese spy, a major allegation for a member with access to some of the most sensitive intelligence shared with Congress.

Swalwell declared:

“What it appears though that this person — as the story reports — was unsuccessful in whatever they were trying to do. But if intelligence officials are trying to weaponize someone’s cooperation, they are essentially seeking to do what this person was not able to do, which is to try and discredit someone.”

It turns out that Swalwell admitted to the FBI that the relationship was sexual in nature. The FBI also raised the possibility that Fang Fang was not only trying to get Swalwell to come to China, but that Swalwell may have received unlawful foreign donations.

We know now that the FBI believed Fang Fang may have been working with Chinese intelligence and in fact succeeded in establishing a sexual relationship with the rising politician.

When the scandal broke, some of us expressed astonishment at Pelosi’s decision to brush off calls for his removal from the House Intelligence Committee. She said she had been fully briefed on the FBI’s findings.

So Pelosi was presumably aware that Swalwell had slept with an alleged spy and possibly received unlawful foreign contributions. The report suggests an effort to groom and advance a young politician. If so, the Chinese must have been astonished when he was put on the Intelligence Committee with access to highly sensitive secrets. Pelosi not only refused to remove Swalwell from the Committee but appointed him as an impeachment manager.

At the time, Pelosi dismissed the allegations and attacked those like Kevin McCarthy who called for his removal: “I don’t have any concern about Mr. Swalwell…I do think that it is unfortunate that Mr. McCarthy is trying to make an issue of this.”

At the time, I said that Pelosi’s actions were reckless and put politics before national security. Swalwell was Pelosi’s man on the Committee. The question is whether the Chinese thought that he could also be their man on the Committee.

Pelosi continued to run interference for Swalwell despite allegations (starting before his entrance into Congress) of abusive treatment of women. The media also ignored these rumors and did not aggressively pursue his alleged affair with Fang Fang.

After Swalwell’s implosion, Pelosi immediately feigned a total lack of knowledge—and, more importantly, responsibility—for his record. The fact is that Swalwell was the creation of Pelosi, her attack dog who was always straining at the leash to attack her enemies. He was a made man, sheltered by the political and media establishment in Washington.

  1. China was and is as much at war with Donald Trump as the democrats are. The Chinese are their masters. Swalwell and Fang Fang were part of the partnership between the committee and China. All of DC was in on the attack on Trumps war with their kingdom. The borders were opened and the money flowed to the third worlders to insure their plunder could continue.

  2. Breaking News
FBI just raided Swallows home seizure of phones and computers. Looks like they figured it out finally.

Slit eyed lady lonesome lady…was it worth it Eric?

  3. Perhaps Eric Swalwell could clear up a mystery. Is Fang Fang’s vagina really horizontal, rather than vertical?

According to E. Jean Carroll, who claims that Fang Fang once exposed her vagina to her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room, she said Fang Fang’s vagina was, in fact, vertical. However, Carrol couldn’t remember the day, month, or year she saw it, and she’s also not sure whether she actually saw Fang Fang’s vagina or her dog Vagina’s vagina. To add to the confusion, Carrol admits that she was inebriated on whatever day, month, or year this event supposedly occurred, and took a lot of sedatives at the same time. E. Jean Carroll, nonetheless, does recall that Fang Fang’s vagina wasn’t very sexy; certainly not as sexy as the act of rape in her opinion.

      1. Wrong. PT carefully examined the post above regarding E. Jean Carroll and Fang Fang’s vagina and concluded through AI that the post was not only acceptable but 100% accurate.

  4. Mills Loses Primary Despite Trump Backing

President Donald Trump’s endorsement was not enough to save one scandal-plagued Florida congressman Tuesday night.

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., lost his bid for a third term representing the Sunshine State’s 7th Congressional District as a House Ethics Committee investigation and alleged federal probe weighed down his candidacy.

The winner in the race was Ryan Elijah, a former Orlando-area news anchor for FOX 35 and a one-time NFL sideline reporter.

The win is undoubtedly an upset victory against Mills, who held a sizable lead in multiple polls leading up to primary night and earned the most important and coveted endorsement in GOP politics.

Mills, a military veteran, referenced his Trump endorsement several times on the campaign trail as he downplayed scandals plaguing his bid to keep his job.

    1. ATS – republican voters did NOT chose a GOP candidate with troubling allegations.

These are just allegations at this point – but they are disturbing.

The allegations are not nearly as serious as those against Platner or Swalwell.
But Republicans chose not to vote for Mills.

Why did Democrats vote for Platner and Swallwell ?

Republicans choose their candidates at the ballot box. democrats have had the candidate democrat voters chose in the primary forced out by the DNC in both a presidential and Senate race.
And replaced by candidates nobody voted for.

I do not get to vote in FL, but I am perfectly happy with the choices of FL republican voters.

Mills may prove innocent of the allegations against him – or not.
But FL voters chose not to take that risk.

Why won’t democrats trust their voters ?

Regardless the seat will remain with the GOP

      1. Certainly the accusations deserve investigation. These event can easily be seen through the eyes of a 5 year old as something they are nit if coached. Grampa exposed himself? Did he take out the monster while urinating at a urinal? Dis grampa help the 5 year old unzip his own trousers to do the same?

There was a bitter divorce in the mix. Most unfortunate.

    2. So what. Presidential endorsement mean little in most elections. No president is ever going to be 100% on endorsements. What was astonishing was no one wanted Biden’s endorsement. No one even wanted to be associated with Biden.

It’s not like the Democrats don’t have plenty of scandals too.

Graham Platner — Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Maine: A former romantic partner, Jenny Racicot, accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2021 after she told him to stop. Another ex-partner also accused him of removing a condom during sex without her consent. Platner denied the allegations, called the assault claim false, and suspended his campaign in July.

Eric Swalwell — Democratic candidate for governor of California: Multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. Swalwell denied the allegations, but withdrew from the gubernatorial race in April and resigned from the U.S. House.

Of course you just ignore their scandals like Senator Bob Menendez. Also like the lies of the Democrats running ads that the billionaires are all backing Republicans. Wrong, Soros, Pritzker, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates, Bloomberg, Stephen Mandel, Tom Steyer, Dustin Moskovitz, Laurene Powell Jobs, Marc Benioff, James Simons and Marilyn Simons, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Chris Sacca.

You know what billionaires support the Republicans, those that don’t want the government to steal their hard earned wealth. And it won’t stop with the billionaires, the Democrats will steal our minimal wealth with ever higher and higher taxes.

    3. So, a Republican doesn’t get voted back in for ethics issues. Meanwhile the Democrats vote Swalwell and others back in despite their ethics failures.

There’s a lesson in that… It probably went over your head, though.

    1. Yeah well, Californians get to vote multiple times and ballot counters get to transfer our votes. It takes longer but it’s worth it. No Republicans elected evah!

      /s

      1. It takes less time to cheat as there is no need to count the votes. Elections with massive cheating are always counted rapidly. The reverse is not always true, but slow counting is definitely not a sign of cheating.

  5. This story has all the earmarks (orshould I say earwigs) of a disinformation operation to surround the truth with a network of lies, with Swalwell the fall guy. No James Bond here…

    1. So you are arguing that Swallwell did not sleep with a chinese spy, take foreign money for political campaigns and that Peoplosi was nopt reckless in leaving him on the intelligence committee ?

      1. So you are arguing that Swallwell did not sleep with a chinese spy,

David is 85. What wouldn’t he do to have an offer of sεχ from an animal, mineral or vegetable. Of course he is cheering for Swallows-well

        1. Estovir, go back to your medical papers and medz. You haven’t read any spy-counterspy stuff, clearly.

          1. Plenty of that on the news – FBI caught conducting illegal spying on americans AGAIN
NSA “delaying” a March 2020 report on foreign election interferance because it backed up Trump claims.

That said it is not wise to jump at convoluted explanations when simple ones suffice – occams razor is pretty sharp.

Tom Clancy and John LeCare are NOT the real world. All to often the real world of spies and counter spies is more the keystone cops.

The huge question with Johnny Walker or Robert Hanssen was why weren;’t they caught much sooner.

        2. Every now and then DBB is rational – he certainly more able to reason than most of the left wing nuts here.

What should be really disturbing is that he is the best the left has got.

      2. The deep state only provided lies to the so-cslled intelligence committee when Swallwell was present. Pelosi wasin on it.

      3. I don’t think that is what he means. He is saying Swalwell is guilty but not very important so the Democrats already wanted him gone themselves just like Hong in Wisconsin, so the Democrats were willing to sacrifice him to protect the real powerful Democratic criminals.

      4. Unlike Republican appointees, there is no sign that any confidential information was released. How is he less reliable when her cover was blown? The worst case is people who Trump likes who went to Moscow and met with Putin on one 4th of July.

Do you imagine that the woman introduced herself as a Chinese spy and said “Here’s an envelope with an illegal campaign contribution.?”

John Say should have studied English more in the Moscow Middle School for Propaganda.

    2. Right.
      Swalwell was NO James Bond.
He thought with his wrong head, the same one he used to sexually harass and possibly rape other women.

      1. USF
Swallows is the perfect source target that foreign intelligence looks for. They profile figures for sources by their own vices and ethics. Are they driven by sex, are they driven by money, are they alcoholics or drug abusers? These are all parameters for selecting a source target.

Swallows is a self absorbed narcissist and driven by ego, sex and low ethical standards.

Fang Fang was a Chicom honey pot, used to seduce Swallows and then extract who only knows what information in manipulation of his weaknesses.

    1. If they were owned the Chinese would not need spies. No Chinese spies following the Republicans around. Care to guess why?

  6. Two standards here for Americans. Smallwell is up there with the Epstein class, including his rivals like Orange Man, and they are mostly exempt from bad consequences for loose and eccentric and sometimes even criminal sexual conducts. The average citizens by contrast, are not exempt. –Sal Sar

  7. Yet another Republican arrested for sexually molesting a child.
And on the very day that he is a candidate in Florida’s primary in Trump’s home district

A Florida Republican from Donald Trump’s home district could potentially face the death penalty under a law he had championed as a state legislator.
Mike Caruso, the Palm Beach County clerk of courts and a staunch ally of Gov. Ron DeSantis, was arrested Tuesday morning on child sexual abuse charges.

As a FL legislator in 2023, Mike Caruso helped pass the statute to allow the death penalty for pedophiles who molest children under the age of 12.
Now he has been arrested for allegedly molesting his own grandson, who is not yet 5 years old.
I guess Republicans believe that child sexual molestation is OK, as long as you keep it in the family.

The state plans to present the case to a grand jury and that could lead to his execution if he’s charged and convicted under the law that he championed as a state legislator.

I look forward to Turley’s exhaustive analysis of this critically important case, that is infinitely more important than todays ridiculous push piece about Swalwell.
But I am not holding my breath.

    1. There are thousands of counties in the US. In those counties there are myriads of sexual abuse cases. My wife is the head of appeals in the PD’s office in our county and most of her work is appeals for people convicted of sex offenses.

I have no idea what the truth is regarding Mr. Caruso – many people accused of sex crimes are innocent – just like people accused of other crimes.
Regardless until convicted Mr. Caruso like the millions of people arested each each is presumed innocent.

Almost no one in this country beleives that sexual molestation is OK.

Regardless I would be totally shocked if there was not a single elected republican anywhere in the US who was not guilty of a sex offense.
Pick ANY significant identity group – and you will find sex offenders within it.

You are carping on a non-story.

Why is the Swallwell story 10,000 times more consequentical ?

Because Mr. Caruso is merely accused – Swallwell has confessed. Because if guilty Mr. Caruso is a Garden variety perv who had small political success.
Swallwell was a very prominent democrat, a leader in the House, a contender for Governor of CA. A member of the House Intelligence committee who was sleeping with a chinese spy and possibily taking campaign donations from china.

Is allegedly Molesting a 5yr worse conduct – possibly. But it is unfortunately common conduct and contra your idiocy there is no commutative property of sex offenses.
You can not reason from Caruso might be a sex offender to conclusions about the groups he belongs to or the people he supports.
Mr. Caruso is one of millions of random republicans, he is not a national figure. Nor is there any nexus between his alleged conduct and those he supports or his party.

Swallwell was a leader of his party. Further as a member of the house intelligence committee, he was legally obligated to protect national secrets.
Further other leaders of his party covered up his misconduct.

      1. Hypocrisy is the key element – the Republican sexually abusing children voted for laws against abusing children, probably as cover. Crime on top of crime. It’s not only widespread in the GOP it is also supported by fellow Republicans, much as John Say does here.

  8. “Have weenie. Will sell out” (And auntie Nancy said it is OK)

    1. I will say, in the leadup to WW2, he did do a lot of good for Germany and central Europe. He took the Weimar and turned it into the strongest economy in the entire Old World; everyone wanted to trade and do business with Germany. Now, he did use it to further his heinous goals, but you can’t always judge a man by the ends alone.

    2. I have family in Germany for generations. My cousin lives in a town just outside of Frankfurt. When the town was created by Hitler the parcels were zoned (today’s wording) for them to be self supporting. She does not have the livestock but at 76 grows all her fruits and vegetables. Pretty forward thinking if I may say so. He also formed community gardens within the city for those that did not have the same space. That way they also could be self sufficient.

I also know, as do most of the world, that we are still paying for his crimes against humanity.
