humorous-019_smallWith billions of federal stimulus and bailout money engorging lobbyists in Washington, I finally found a photo of one of these fat cats in the aftermath of visiting the public troth.

What is astonishing is that this particular fat cat appears slumped against the wall of Congress — unable to even walk to a waiting limo to return to K St.

    Now, Doctor, that is an incorrect statement. It is wrong. It is false. It shows ignorance of the text of the Constitution. It contains a defamatory accusation that I may never have read the Constitution while discussing it online.

    We have been waiting for you to post the text that you cited. As expected, it has been a long wait, becakuse there is no such provision in the Constittion.

    The normal self-serving response of a trained teacher would be to say, sorry, you are technically correct about the language, since the clause does apply to revenue rather than appropriations, but my point about the budget is still valid.

    This would show that you may be a scientist who is open to new evidence that may falsify a present hypothesis and require its revision. It might the the response of a trained researcher and teacher.

    But no! You simply ignore the fact that your ignorance has been exposed. You evade the question. You switch to another topic and level the accusation that the posters here are small pathetic people.

    When your facts are demolished, you resort to ad hominem attacks. Not very mature. Entirely unscientifice and completely inconsistent with academic standards.

    Then you describe your so-called experiment. Well, what were the criteria, the protocals for the “experiment.” What were the controls? What was the double blind group? None, I suspect. This is just an after-the-fact invention to cover up your red-faced embarassement.

    Sorry, corn farmer. You have been nailed in an ignorant misstatement. Your only response is name calling directed at the other posters.

    Some professor. I feel sorry for your students.

    Go and read the U.S. Constitution yourself before insulting me again.

    I listen to Rush’s show almost daily. Hours of it. He’s absolutely infuriating. I listen to him because my job sometimes requires me to drive for many hours at a time, and I have found something he is very good at. He makes me so mad that I couldn’t possibly fall asleep behind the wheel of my vehicle. In this way, I have found some utility in that pontificating blowhard’s vile dialogue.

    Nope, I think you’re a corn farmer–and a semiliterate one at that–based on what I see. No offense to corn farmers, but I expect more from Ph.D’s. As for the need for humility, I say, “Doctor, heal thyself.” Finally, as I have a son applying for college, could you give a hint as to your employer? I need to winnow the list.

    I take it to mean that no matter how absurd the error, even some able people will support it. Acton seems to suggest that great men are not nearly so infallible as they would have us believe. See Colin Powell for a contemporary personification of the concept.

    I need help with that, are they saying they tried and failed? Or that each individual was more than enough for one room? The one that I will comment on is Jefferson, he was so elitist, that he refused to call the Judiciary in. If you will recall nothing happened between 1801 though 1803 and this menial case came out that was entitled Marbury vs Madison.

    The point is, If it had not been for the Free Thinkers that formed and framed the basis of this country, corn farmer, you would not have a job. Oh and by the way, I have alot of frineds that farm for a living. I am aware that they have diplomas on the walls from MSU and a few went to TexasA&M. Just because they did not have higher aspirations to go to a better College or couldn’t get in (only kidding). Maybe in the Next Life, they can do a litle better with choices. Like go to Texas is there anyother or Michigan. Yes, see the first choice.

    If you want W back. Come and get him, his personal banker, neighbor whom he shared a Heli-Pad in Preston Hollows just defaulted on a mere 525 million dollar bank loan. I am sorry, he could not make the interest payment. See Tom Hicks, FIN or the Dallas Morning News for more on that story.

    I am sure, there are lots of people that wish W was back in power. So they could be made whole again or at least have the promise of personal prosperity.

    I have this client that on the advice of his Financial Adviser invested 100 Million in the Stock Market in November of 2007. That turned into a mere 12 Million last September or October 2008.

    Investments are out side of my knowledge so they went to another person for a possible curatve measure.

    But please come and take this forsaken individual. hey, he even let Cheney down at the end and would not give Scooter Libby a Full Pardon.

    That must have been a warm environment. W was the puppet that the master puppeteer lost the ability to make W dance.

    I am amazed that a Junkie like Rush get an audience as large as he is. But then again, education was not in the Constitution either. But if it is going to be offered it has to be offered equally. Apparently it was cut out of this mans school budget.

    Dear cornfarmer, please read the part of the Constitution to all of us that “specifies that Congress is in charge of appropriations.”

    We are waiting.

    It will be a long wait.

    Perhaps you are confused with Art I, Sec. 7, cl. 1, which states that “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originated in the House of Representatives.”

    That is tax bill, sir farmer. Not appropriations.

    Now that you have learned something, please keep reading.

    I actually listened to el Rushbo for several years through the Clinton Administration and found him pompous and rather unlettered. Given his lack of education, he has done very well for himself by pandering to the emotions of the rabble he neither respects nor associates with except maybe to score his illegal prescriptions drugs. Rush is everything bad about the Repubs–not their ideology of course which long ago was exposed as manna for morons, but their willingness to say or do anything to make a buck. For people so worried about class warfare, they possess neither the acumen for warfare nor classiness.
