Ah, those long summer nights at Camp Hamas. Who can forget them? A recent media report has shown pictures of kids reenacting the June 2006 abduction of Schalit in front of a beaming Osama Mazini, a senior Hamas political leader leading negotiations with Israel over his release.
The children put on the macabre display for various Hamas officials who seem to relish in the reenactment. Hamas runs camps for more than 120,000 Palestinian children in the summer.
Families can chose between the Hamas camps and United Nations camps, which focuses on things like non-lethal arts and crafts.
Of course, given Hamas television programs, it is hardly much of a surprise to see what Hamas’ leaders view as good clean summer fun.
I still prefer Camp Grenada:

Buddha writes: “And even if we win, if we win, HAH! Even if we win! Even if we play so far above our heads that our noses bleed for a week to ten days; even if God in Heaven above comes down and points his hand at our side of the field; even if every man woman and child held hands together and prayed for us to win, it just wouldn’t matter because all the really good looking girls would still go out with the guys from Mohawk because they’ve got all the money!”
nah. those guys from camp mohawk are a buncha preppie nosebleeds.
I’m only allowed to go to Summer Camps where Mr. Murray is a counselor. Mom thinks he’s good influence.

what are you saying? you are J4J?
it is neither here nor there, with the exception that J4J is a cult and a pretty dishonest one… but what does that have to do with Camp Hamas?

No where in the Bible does Jesus renounce the origins of his faith. Humm think about it…..
what do they say Jill? Hate is not a family value….unless you subscribe to one form or another of extreme religious views.
still….. I can’t believe that prof. turley is old enough to remember alan sherman….
“my son the folksinger” was a big hit in our crowd.
I will never understand why any adult would want a child to learn to hate. “Jesus Camp” is the christian corallary to Camp Hammas. Parents too often use their children as extensions of themselves instead of wanting to help their child be whoever he or she truly is. Children don’t have the mental defenses and life experience to distinguish what is going on in these situations. They want to please adults, have fun and be loved. If it takes participation in hate to earn the love or attention of adults, they will do it. It is simply dispicable to take advantage of a young child or young person’s need for some kind of love or at least approval/attention in order to foster the adult’s agenda. This is especially odious when that agenda is full of hate and cruelty.
