New York has settled a case were a Brooklyn grandmother who was walking to a hospital after an asthma attack was arrested for prostitution. Monica Gonzalez, 41, will receive $35,000.
What is most striking about this story is that the arresting officer, Sean Spencer, has been accused of abuses in at least four lawsuits and the city has already paid $80,000 to victims in those cases.
There is also a question of false statements filed by Spencer. He reportedly reported that Gonzalez beckoned to three men in the park and that he was aware that she was a known prostitute who had been previously arrested for solicitation. She had never been arrested on prostitution charges.
I view $35,000 as a tad low for such an abusive arrest, but I am unfamiliar with the range of prior such awards for Brooklyn.

She’d have to be around 9 years old when she had the kid, and then the kid would also have to have a kid when she was around 9 years old. So based on simple arithmetic (and the fact that there has never been a teenage grandmother in all recorded human history) the answer would be yes.

Sadly, I have actually witnessed this type of marriage. It holds all of it’s victims hostage in an endless cycle of emotional abuse. It is the direct result of ignorant parents raising children without the benefit of open and honest sex education. Parents who teach thier children that ” fags ” and

I pride myself in having 2 sons who, so far, I have successfully molded into open, honest ( to a degree of course ), respectful, and usually responsible teenagers. I have been completely honest and open with them in most aspects of life beginning from birth. My sons do not have ” wee wee’s ” they both have a penis…always have, a fetus has never grown in a mommy’s
” belly ” it grows in a mommy’s uterus. They know what a condom is and what it’s used for…oh, and that it should ALWAYS be used, but only…and only when a womans SAYS yes and is not under the influence of any type of substance. I chose to make sex a topic in my household that was as acceptable as the ” what are we having for dinner ” topic. Perhaps if more parents were resposible enough to do the same, teenage pregnancy would become a past tragedy rather than a soaring epidemic.

Mississippi ranks number one in teen pregnancies followed by Texas and New Mexico.
There is no better antidote to teen pregnancy than proper sex education. Proper means covering EVERYTHING in a plain language but scientifically accurate manner that is non-judgmental (with the obvious exceptions of pedophilia and necrophilia) so these children have ALL the information they need to have sex responsibility and mature into adults in tune with themselves.

It’s sad. It’s tragic. Even without kids involved, it causes collateral damage. With kids, it’s just worse.
Proper sex education has a lot of benefits: lower teen pregnancy rates, lower infant mortality, lower STD rates, lower associated medical and support services costs for unwanted children and less psychological problems due to cultural or religious persecution for being a normal (i.e. not a pedo or necro) human being just trying to be happy during their short time on the third stone from the sun.
But the fascists want cannon fodder. Numbers, not quality of life for all. They need a body count. And you can’t get educated people to kill themselves on purpose let alone for your agenda.

Texas does of course have one of the highest rates of teen pregnancies.

It seems young to us but there are people becoming grandmothers at 30.
That does sound like a cheap award, but the Grandma was probably anxious to get this ugly event behind her. I am shocked at how many times a police officer will lie to save his/her own skin. Also, 41 is really young to be a grandmother.
