A Saudi court has sentenced a man to four months in prison and 90 lashes for kissing a woman in a mall. This is yet another example of the Sharia based legal system in the Kingdom and the continued work of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
The religious police spotted the man in his 20s in the outrageous act of kissing a woman in public. Not only was he arrested but another woman with the couple was arrested for “engaging in immoral movements in front of other shoppers.” To make matters worse, hugs were exchanged. The crime was captured on mall cameras — a tape apparently that would now constitute Saudi porn if distributed.
The religious police keep this blog supplied with a steady stream of medieval actions, including prosecution of MTV shows, Emo girls, mixing genders in worship, television hosts, women working out, women driving, journalists, women who speak to men without a relative, Christian bloggers, and women who drink coffee with men.

These religious idiots don’t even believe their own shit:
If God has a problem with a man kissing his friend in public, He will take care of it, no?
I guess, if he’s a bad man, He’ll put him in hell, ey?
I guess God’s plan is not good enough?
All the believers can come suck it… and their God too, if He needs idiots like this to keep the Almighty Plan in check.
“Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” sounds positively Orwellian
And this is why we need to get religion MORE involved in governing – children must be protected from the horror of witnessing affection between two people.
All three of the worlds Middle East based religions agree that death is the correct punishment for this sort of thing, why are they being so soft on crime? Why are they not getting vocal support from religious leaders in the US who obviously support biblical statutes?
