The Obama Administration is trying to quietly kill the move for recognition of a Palestinian state, particularly after the loss of Anthony Weiner’s seat in the House due in part to an angry backlash by Jewish voters over support of Israel. Other countries have said it is time and momentum appeared to be with the Palestinians . . . at least until the Palestine Liberation Organization’s ambassador Maen Areikat to the United States decided to add his views. Areikat described his vision of a beautiful new free and independent state. The key component? No Jews.
When asked if there “there would be no Jews in the West Bank or Gaza,” Areikat explained that “it would be in the best interest of the two people to be separated.” Of course, they are not separated. Israel has 1.3 million Muslims who are Israeli citizens.

It seems the Israeli orthodox Jews are busy outscrewing the Arabs. Unfortunately, few of them work or pay taxes. The future of this enterprise looks bleak indeed, as the Arabs are denied employment and also live on the dole. BTW, Israeli taxes are non-progressive, making the whole thing even worse..
Considering Gaza was part of Egypt and the West Bank was part of Jordan, in all these years why has neither country wanted them back?
Just an update on the loss of Wiener’s seat and Weprin’s loss. A large part of the community is called Kew Gardens, which is predominantly populated by Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox Jews. Weprin, who is himself an Orthodox Jew, supported the Gay Marriage legalization in NY. That seems to have played a large role in his defeat. Many Orthodox Jews are as opposed to Gay Marriage as any Christian Fundamentalists. To me this is further proof that we Jews as a whole aren’t nearly as smart as people think we are. 😀

Plushkin, and most of it is UN aid, that which gets through of course since the list of banned gods can and does change on a whim. Why should Gaza have to rely on what Israel ‘gives’ it? Israel and the US wanted elections in Gaza, they go ’em, they didn’t like the outcome, they/we refused recognition, internal fighting broke out. Under the current circumstances there’s no hope for Gaza to become an independent state. Couldn’t have worked out better if it was planned.
