  1. Dennis,

The bobcats rob banks … HenMan doesn’t trust banks to keep his money safe (pun intended).

  2. anon nurse,

This a really good drum beater written by Rob Sobhani, President of Caspian Energy Consulting, a group with interests in energy and infrastructure projects. He engages extensively with heads of state in the broader Middle East for work and wrote the book, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: A Leader of Consequence. He holds a PhD from Georgetown University (my, my)

    Last paragraph from article:

“The attempt to assassinate Adel Al-Jubeir is a painful reminder of what the late Ayatollah Khomeini said over thirty years ago after he encouraged the taking of American diplomats hostage: “America cannot do a damn thing.” Together, Washington and Riyadh should show Tehran that they will stand up to this regime.”

  3. HenMan and Blouise,

You both aren’t shinning here on this thread. I really do believe distraction by denigrating and attributing all evil to teabaggers is a psychological defense mechanism for “liberals”. I notice that neither one of you even comment on JT and Glenn’s condemnation of liberals for their support of the exact same illegal policies as teabaggers support. Don’t you both even wonder why that is? Do neither of you see any danger in avoiding coming to terms with liberal complicity in the crimes we all pay for now? Do you really believe all the war and financial crimes happened because of evil teabaggers. If so, why?

This pretext for war is quite scary. I would think every liberal would be horrified by it. But as Glenn points out, it will be cheered by Democrats who self identify as “liberal”. Don’t you want to understand why Democrats would cheer this war? This isn’t some personality contest on a blog, this is for real. If you cannot understand why Democrats will cheer this war and help it to happen, what chance is there of trying to stop it? We have to reach everyone who will believe this propaganda, that includes “liberals”.

While bonding over hatred of another person might feel good, is it who you want to be? If so, I hope someday you will reconsider that decision. Meanwhile, I hope you would be trying to reach people, both left and right, who might be taken in by this propaganda. If this war goes down, everything else is set to go up in flames.

    1. Tea Baggers suck! The difference between purity and and false piety is negligable. Both value form over substance. Obama has been a disappointment to be sure. McCain would have been a disaster. To fail to comprehend that difference, is to expose that ones empathy for those getting screwed, is theoretical rather than visceral.

  4. “The bobcats . . . maimed the mailman again and shredded my Social Security check in the process.”

    You don’t get direct deposit?

  5. anon nurse,

I meant to highlite the author’s name, Robert Baer, a former Middle East CIA field officer for it has been said like so many say of the Marines … Once a CIA officer, always a CIA officer … the drums are beating

  6. HenMan,

… to treat disrespectfully, irreverently, or outrageously … oh, wait a minute … that’s DESECRATION … you said “discretion” … never mind.

  7. “Clearly, our only course of action is to roll into a ball and suck our thumbs.”

It got me through boot camp.

  8. Sanpete-

I agree that we shouldn’t refer to asshats as “teabaggers”.

For a definition of “asshats” see urbandictionary.com. (I would provide a link, but there are too many “naughty” words on that page.) I would advise discretion if I knew what “discretion” meant.

  9. HenMan,

I keep telling you … keeping your money in the mattress is unwise … have your check sent to me … 🙂

  10. Blouise, again, it’s well known among those who actually try not to denigrate those they disagree with that “tea bagger ” is a denigrating term. That’s exactly why those who do like to denigrate those they disagree with insist on using it. Make excuses as you like, the basic fact remains clear.

  11. Blouise-

The bobcats are standing in the corner. They maimed the mailman again and shredded my Social Security check in the process.

  12. Mike Spindell,

Thanks for the review. Tex and I are going this weekend.

Go to Bestbuy and get one of their $400 specials and ignore HenMan if he offers to sell you his.

  13. HenMan,

How are the bobcats? Tell ’em to pack their bags, we’re going to Boston!

  14. Blouise-

I wonder if she knows that no tea bags were harmed during the Boston Tea Party.

Men need to be very careful about where they rest their junk.

  15. eniobob,

From the link you provided : “Lowrie was not immediately available for comment.”

He might be seeking sanctuary with the nuns at Ursuline College … I’m not certain if they are allowed telephones. 🙂

    1. Saw the new Clooney movie “Idea of March” last
Night. It was excellent and pertains to the sociopathy of our politics and why things are so screwed up.

BTW my PC is kaput and I’m away from home. Commenting from an IPhone isn’t EZ.
