I saw this amazing clip this weekend from FOX where the anchors attacked a women because she left her kids with family and friends to participate in the Occupy Wall Street protests.
The mother, Stacey Hessler of Florida, was saying that she felt this was a historic moment for citizens to take to the streets. It is funny how such commitment is inspiring in those who share your views, but disgusting for those who do not.
The New York Post has a decidedly negative profile of her, though it seems short on independent sources. What is striking about the Fox report is the view that any mother who leaves her children to join such a protest is “filth.”
and AL Gore didn’t invent the internet
Atlanta’s mayor is ready to put an end to the “Occupy” protests.
Amid rising costs to keep law enforcement present in and around Woodruff Park, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed has urged an end to the “Occupy Atlanta” movement, a demonstration that began more than three weeks ago in response to “Occupy Wall Street.”
In a press conference Monday, Reed cited the additional $100,000 in beefed-up police presence for Saturday alone, as officers worked overtime in 12-hour shifts to ensure safety for the protesters — the same protesters he connected to a hip-hop concert in the park that same day. Reed called the behavior of some of the “Occupy Atlanta” the kind of actions that “puts them on a path to escalation,” he said.

Bdaman,
I am aware of her comments and I don’t doubt that policy stances may have moved people in the direction, she did not found the OWS movement. The OWS movement is free standing and non-partisan.
The Right should be afraid of Warren and her public policy principles.
The Harvard professor has spooked the right. As she begins her high-profile Senate campaign against GOP star Scott Brown in Massachusetts, the consumer advocate tells Samuel P. Jacobs how she created ‘much of the intellectual foundation’ for the Occupy Wall Street movement. She also talks about her past life as a Republican and the challenges of being a woman on the campaign trail—and says she’s no ‘guileless Marxist.’

She didn’t found it.
If it is the peoples seat then Scott Brown won’t mind losing it to a woman who backed the OWS movement.
She founded it.
Raff, yes they did give themselves the name and then it was inferred that they were all a bunch of KOCH suckers. Which I never figured out how to suck one of those things I had a hard enough time just trying to hold it in my mouth.
Bdaman,
Seriously,.
Oh my gosh Raff seriously?
Never mind.
If it is the peoples seat then Scott Brown won’t mind losing it to a woman who backed the OWS movement.

I asked for the main stream media outlets and/or cable outlets calling the Teapublicans names, not bloggers. Schuster called them teabaggers because that is what they were calling themselves.
Raff my friend I could go on and on and on. There are way to many examples, but in the end, the people who were ridiculed, called racist, accused of spiting on people, accused of all sorts of sexual connotations won the 2011 elections. You know it’s bad when you loose a seat that was held for over 40 years. Remember it’s the peoples seat.
Here’s the video Raff, where’s your rage. I’ll even put it to the link where it makes you feel more comfortable.

Raff who said this on MSNBC
“For most Americans, Wednesday, April 15th will be Tax Day .But in our fourth story tonight: It’s going to be teabagging day for the right-wing and they’re going nuts for it. Thousands of them whipped out the festivities early this past weekend, and while the parties are officially toothless, the teabaggers are full-throated about their goals.
“They want to give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending – spending they did not oppose when they were under presidents Bush and Reagan, “They oppose Mr. Obama’s tax rates – which will be lower for most of them — and they oppose the tax increases Mr. Obama is imposing on the rich, whose taxes will skyrocket to a rate about 10 percent less than it was under Reagan. That’s teabagging in a nut shell.”
He goes on for several more minutes. I’m gonna give you the video in a minute.
Thanks Blouise
Raff did you forget Anderson Cooper of 360 on CNN saying it’s hard to talk when your teabagging
Bda,
I intensely dislike Bowie’s music but because it’s you, I listened 🙂
Thank you Blouise for your honesty.
Raff come on man. The Tparty are a bunch of racist straight up.
raff,
I’ve said a lot worse than that about teabaggers … 😉
Bda,
“Typically, If a cop can’t see you doing an illegal act, he can’t arrest you.”
Oh come on … you know better than that.
Bdaman,
give us some verifiable examples of what was said about Teapublicans that is worse than this and then I will tell you two wrongs don’t make a right. Show us how Fox News or MSNBC or CNN called Teapublicans “filth”.
