  1. Dredd,

    There seems to be a number of trolls on the prowl of late…..

  2. Nicky,

    If you had a clue about real work, people might listen to you. When most people talk about doing things, it generally means they’ve never done anything. Like those that teach economics. Maybe you are the same way, All hat, no filler.

  3. Donald, I worked for the govt. for several years. My wife worked for the Federal govt. her entire career. If you didn’t see lazy, incompetent employees all around you..then you were probably one of them. I often had to listen to rants from my wife about lazy colleagues. I was less tolerant than she and got out. There are indeed, hardworking, dedicated, govt. employees, they are a distinct minority.

  4. That tree is “out of the box” but the fault was in the hands of the person who put the brace up without making a drastic curve. The intent of the wood frame was to make it grow up straight. That is a tough thing in any generation. It is not a fruit tree so we do not know if it is leaning left or leaning right. It depends on your perspective. One perspective is that it is leaning forward and the backside of that is it is leaning backwards. If the tree was in California the I would say that it is leaning left. If in Chicago, I would say leaning forward. If in Texas, it is leaning right. Backwards if located in the rest of the red states.
    The ground at the base suggests that he tree might have been pushed over to that position. The box is too late and too limited. Do not use the tree for a hangman’s tree if it grows taller and stronger.

  5. Dear nick spinelli,
    I worked for the government (Maine DEP.) I think I did good work. Maybe better than the State deserved (for what they paid.) I was a union member part of the time. I think your comment good enough for union, gov’t work is prejudicial, unfair and uncalled for. The majority of the folks I worked with cared for the work they did and did it carefully. You owe us an apology.

  6. I think that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.
    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
    A tree that may in Summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;
    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.
    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.

    — Joyce Kilmer

    … and they’re elusive, too.

  7. Nick,

    That’s only if you look at the tree from the left….. Or is that right…..

  8. I love that fact that as big as the tree currently is, the city/town has not moved the stakes.

  9. My question…. Did the city workers build the box before it started leaning left…. Or if you’re on the other side of the street it could be to the right leaning….. And that’s about as close as you want to get….

  10. Time and time again I was told “you can not fight city hall” Washington state became the first in the nation to pass a law to protect its whistle blowers that law is named after me! Brenda Hill. Followed by 29 states! Means I’m not done! 25 years ago as of this May 6. Please Google Brenda Hill whistle blower stories also read prof George Pring’s book “getting sued for speaking out” chapter entitled “Brenda Hill” one person can make a difference. Gag order for 6 years sued for 1.2 million 5 day jury trial!! My dream is to tell my story and empower others! If a house wife mom of 3 can take on her own state while being slammed by Ave of the stars Beverly Hills lawyers you can make your voice heard too!!!
