Disgraced Ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner is giving back in a big way — or so he claims. Fresh off a recent loss in New York City’s municipal elections, Weiner held the lead among Democratic mayoral hopefuls until disturbing texts with a decidedly lewd overtone were released by a 22-year-old woman he met online. Other women came forward to sink the Weiner warship but Weiner vowed to remain in politics and be active in the community despite another public humiliation for him and his wife, Huma Abedin, a former Hillary Clinton aide.
And alas, now he’s got an idea to rehabilitate his reputation and Rockaway, Queens, a neighborhood that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Beset by rebuilding delays and high unemployment, Weiner proposes a new restaurant with a social conscience in the still reeling community. The Rockaway Restoration Kitchen is months away from it’s first fryer drop but Weiner plans to open the business and employ persons with substance abuse and criminal issues. He also wants to help the diet of the neighborhood, he claims. Rockaway, says Weiner, is a “food desert” dominated by fast food chains and pizzerias. “We want to do something sustainable for the community, while also providing healthy, local food options for the Rockaway population.”
Weiner plans a thirteen week training period that will provide life skills as well as restaurant skills. He’s hoping to make The Rockaway Restoration Kitchen a launch pad for at-risk folks who can obtain other similar jobs once they complete the training program. One mistake shouldn’t be cause for unmitigated disaster Weiner reasons, and he should know.
Pipe dream? Maybe. A PR tour de force with another run at political office being Objective No. 1? Almost surely. A recipe for success? A true quest for forgiveness from the women in his life?
Well, as any restaurant owner can tell you, the proof is in the pudding.

Yep, Elaine. “Crude and disgusting.”
“Is this considered civil/appropriate language for the Turley blog?” -Elaine
I’d like to hear the answer.
Me, too.
I agree Elaine.
“Hillary has eaten more p@ssy than I have.”
Crude and disgusting. Is this considered civil/appropriate language for the Turley blog?
Nick,
Yes. If someone’s sexuality is such a non-problem for you as you state, then I would think that you wouldn’t push unsubstantiated rumors that a person’s sexuality is not what it seems.
Bettykath, I think some folks may simply be chronically confused.
Quaks like a duck, walks like a duck…..a duck.
The subject was Hillary and now it’s about Bill and John Edwards?
The Lewinsky story came from Drudge, the MSM tried to bury it. The John Edwards slimebag story came from the National Enquirer, the MSM buried it.
We’ll be seeing that “Vast right wing conspiracy” clip of Hillary a lot. I repeat, the incredulity of people here is staggering. We’ll simply have to disagree on this. But, it is quite edifying.
nick, you still don’t get it. The stories about Hillary’s sexuality are straight out of the right wind hate machine. Someone with the acute thinking that you claim should be able to see that.
why do you claim to not be obtuse? then, in your usual passive-aggressive way, claim that others are obtuse?
SWM going Oliver Stone on us w/ the help of Mother Jones. Just perfect. This “right winger” voted for Nader twice and Obama once. LOL!
I am not obtuse like many people here. I despise Hillary. That has been made clear. But read this thread. I am libertarian. You get to have sex w/ whomever you wish as long as it isn’t a child. There is NOTHING in anything I’ve written here that shows any homophobia. Although I have been called almost epithet used here, homophobe is not one of them. The issue is HYPOCRISY. The HYPOCRISY of being anti gay marriage until very recently. The Clintons are liars and hypocrites. We made one mistake w/ Bubba, we can’t afford another. There’s a HUGE mess in aisle three for cleanup after 8 years, and she isn’t worthy of the office. Her unworthiness has NOTHING to do w/ her sexual preference and everything to do w/ her integrity.
So Nick is right back at it. Quite the guy.
http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2014/04/hillary-clinton-white-house-conspiracy-report “The report traced the evolution of various Clinton scandals, such as Whitewater and the Gennifer Flowers affair allegations, from their origins at conservative think tanks or in British tabloids, until the point in which they entered the mainstream news ecosystem. Making matters even more complicated was new technology, the report explained: “[E]vidence exists that Republican staffers surf the internet, interacting with extremists in order to exchange the ideas and information.” The administration even had a name for the process: “The Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce.””
Considering the slime being poured on her on the basis of rumors, I can certainly understand why she would stay in the closet, IF she is a lesbian. According to David Brock (“Blinded by the Right”), a disillusioned participant, there really was (and is) a vicious right wing conspiracy of hate. nick’s stories about Hillary seem to be from that hate machine.
What do you want, photos? Videos? That would be invasive. There is an account from one of Bill’s bimbo’s Jennifer Flowers. You remember her. She and Bill had been boinking for some time[do you need proof of that???]. Flowers, w/ trepidations, told Bill that it was pretty common knowledge that Hillary was having regular sex w/ a woman in town. Flowers was studying Bill’s face hoping he wouldn’t get that rage he is famous for. All of a sudden Bubba starting laughing and said, “Hillary has eaten more p@ssy than I have.” There are many other stories but that one is pretty solid. It was in the wild days before Bubba went national. It’s believed the LA Times has a scoop that they’ve sat on regarding Hillary and a Hollywood actress.
I see Hillary being forced out of the closet and then the cultists rallying around her w/ the narrative of how “brave” she is. The incredulity here is just precious.
Correction..Prove should read Proof in my prior comment.
More rumors about Clinton’s sexuality?? If you don’t have prove don’t spread the rumor.
“When there is insufficient supporting evidence to determine whether an accusation is true or false, it is described as “unsubstantiated” or “unfounded”. Accusations that are determined to be false based on corroborating evidence can be divided into three categories:[1]
*An allegation that is completely false in that the events that were alleged did not occur;
*An allegation that describes events that did occur, but were perpetrated by an individual who is not accused, and in which the accused person is innocent.
*An allegation that is partially true and partially false, in that it mixes descriptions of events that actually happened with other events that did not occur.
A false allegation can occur as the result of intentional lying on the part of the accuser; or unintentionally, due to a confabulation, either arising spontaneously due to mental illness or resulting from deliberate or accidental suggestive questioning, or faulty interviewing techniques. Researchers Poole and Lindsay suggested in 1997 applying separate labels to the two concepts, proposing the term “false allegations” be used specifically when the accuser is aware they are lying, and “false suspicions” (weasel word phrase; dissimulation) for the wider range of false accusations in which suggestive questioning may have been involved.”
