Over international protests, according to some new sites, Iran has already executed Rayhaneh Jabbari, 26. However, Fox News is reporting that the execution has been delayed. Jabbari claimed that a former Iranian Intelligence Ministry employee tried to rape her and that she stabbed in him the shoulder to escape. Despite the fact that a drink given to her was found to contain a date rape drug, the Iranian officials still wanted her hanged and they have now carried out their intent. As she was being led away to be hanged, a guard showed mercy and gave her his phone to type a final message to her mother. Her reported message below is poignant and tragic as a final goodbye to her mother. [Update: there are both reports that the execution has occurred and that the execution has been delayed. Amnesty is reporting that the execution is “imminent.”]
Jabbari wrote:
“I am currently handcuffed and there is a car waiting outside to take me for the execution of the sentence. Goodbye, dear Mum. All of my pains will finish early tomorrow morning. I’m sorry I cannot lessen your pain. Be patient. We believe in life after death. I’ll see you in the next world and I will never leave you again because being separated from you is the most difficult thing to do in the world.”
When her mother called the prison to ask what she could do, they told her to pick up the body of her daughter.
Jabbari was a decorator who said that she was contacted Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, who arranged a meeting. She said that Sarbandi drugged her and tried to rape her after the two met at a café and she agreed to go to his office to discuss a business deal. She said that Sarbandi took her to a remote building and offered her a fruit drink which was later found to contain the date-rape drug. Her family noted that the wounds from a small pocket knife to the shoulder would not have caused death.
After her arrest, her family said that she was tortured to confess.
If she has been executed, it is another notch in the belt of Iran’s Sharia courts and medieval prison system . . . and a particularly sad day for all of humanity.

And I furthermore believe that we should also stop giving any money to any country that follows Sharia Law, or any other form of law, that abuses human rights, such as murdering rape victims as adulteresses. Or, in this case, refusing to investigate self defense claims of a victim who fought back. Why pander to countries who hate America and despise human rights, and especially the rights of women?

After the US is allied with the moderates against ISIS any attacks on the moderates will be an attack on the US. The US can dial the response. Give Iran an unescapable ultimatum regarding nuclear activity, no more negotiations. If Iran does not comply then Israel, (that is why the US arms them to the teeth), and the US will bomb their nuclear facilities to dust.
Support the establishment of an autonomous Kurddish state including all territory in Iraq and Syria that is predominantly Kurddish. They are the only ones reasonable, courageous, and capable to be a western ally.
Support an integrated and cooperative Iraqi government or a division of Iraq into Sunni and Shia states. In other words work together or split up.
Develop US armed incursion tactics and groups consisting of logistics, drones, air attacks, missile attacks, special forces surgical in and outs, for the next generation of wars and surgically remove the thugs from any country not aligned with a nuclear power. Boko Harum-two or three special force incursions and problem solved.

On a related topic, I was watching the Monday Night Football game last night. A Chiefs player of Muslim faith was penalized for praying in the end zone after a touchdown. The NFL is really pissing on its leg daily, isn’t it!

Since the end of WWII, the deaths directly at American hands or through surrogates number well over 20 million (not including the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and other war dead), untold numbers wounded, internally and externally displaced. American capitalism is one of the most savage political systems ever to come to power on the face of the planet.
And soon, in a panic to contain the imagined threat of ISIL to the US we will likely compromise on the nuclear weapons issue.
Oran likely already has enough uranium to build a bomb or two, but they desire a nuclear arsenal.

As to Iran and this execution, again we are shown that there are no moderates in Iran or for that matter in the MIDDLE EAST. This happens in Saudi Arabia also. It is time for the US to take a stand against this barbarism.
