Jihadi John Unmasked

jihadi-john-split-without-credit-1-762x428Jihadi_JohnWe finally have a face to go with the name of the infamous Islamic State murderer known as “Jihadi John.” He is Mohammed Emwazi and is shown here in a Pittsburgh Pirates hat from his time at the University of Westminster. He turns out to another militant from a well-off family and someone who seemed successful in society as we have seen in other cases. This will make it easier for the United States which, according to Attorney General Eric Holder, has made capturing or killing Jihadi John a priority.

The 26-year-old now beheads people for not believing in his extreme view of Islam.

When this picture was taken he was completing his Information Systems with Business Management degree at the London’s Cavendish campus.

Cases like Emwazi tend to undermine the image of IS militants as coming from people left without jobs or a future in the West.

  1. Happy, thanks for finding that. Wow, he sounds like a very good Christian, but I guess he wasn’t one. Sounds like he perverted Christianity, sort of
    Iike how ISIS perverts Islam.

  2. David and Karen, I see people raised in fundamentalist households go whacky anti religious. It seems they become the Jim Jones, David Koresh of the secular world, metaphorically speaking. The rebound effect.

  3. It’s fantatical fundamentalists, there, happy now? Fundamentalism can also be found in the Republican Party, now that was quite easy.

  4. Oh, look, Po is here again telling us this is all really OK, as per usual every single time Muslim terrorists commit some atrocity covered on the blog.

  5. DavidM – Let’s also include the fundamentalist, pacifist Amish.

It’s fanaticism, not fundamentalism, that is the danger zone. Fanatic Vegans wrote death threats when the Blonde Vegan went omnivore to save her health. Fanatic Anti-oil groups engage in violence and threats against oil execs.

I actually think it is ego and ambition. The evil blood lust leaders always seem to be men. They talk a few women and children into being suicide bombers, but always men behind them. What is it about men that leads to this? Fanaticism, or ego and ambition?

  6. What is this, a competition?

Do serial killers stand before the judge and say, “Well, you know, your honor, 60 years ago a murderer killed X number of people.” Will that keep him from being sentenced? Will it have any bearing on what he did?

Why do apologists start chanting with “Christianity was just as bad?” Heck, if you want a tour down atrocity lane, check out the Tonton Macoute of Haiti. Does it make a speck of difference how hard we fight ISIS, or that we label them “enemy”, if people in Haiti committed hideous crimes under a VooDoo president?

Mormons distance themselves from the Fundamentalist Mormons at the Yearning for Zion compound. Did that make YFZ not driven by religion? Nope.

Did we mince around in the pedophile priest scandal, careful not to mention that they were “priests?” Nope. Did we fail to mention the abortion bombing from 30 years ago was at least partially driven by religious zeal. Nope.

    These are nonsense arguments.

Some murders are done for secular reasons. Some are done for religious ones. Name it. Fight it. Win.

  7. Has Johnny’s family been interviewed? Maybe the Foley’s can sue them?
Have they made any plea to him? Tell him bad things are happening to
them because of his actions? Or, say goodbye since they know his death is inevitable? Just get into his head in some way.

  8. We gave US blood to help save millions of Muslim Bosnian lives. There was no oil, no treasure, just the right thing to do. WTF good did that do for us?

    1. Nick, The US only intervened to save US commercial interests because the leaders of Bosnia promised to grant better terms to them than the Serbs. The whole dissolution of Yugoslavia was started by Germany recognizing Slovenia when it declared its independence. GHW Bush was President at the time, and he should have slapped down the Germans.

The ruling League of Communists was in the process of trying to restore democratic norms in the political regime. The outside forces saw an opportunity to intervene and make money, and promoted sectional nationalism. The politicians on all sides then used the ethnic divisions to establish a popular base to further their own personal advancement and offices.

  9. Inga, at last! I think Louie Gohmert is a sincere Congressman. Especially because he was a judge and the only way he could help the mess we’re in was to run for Congress. He’s someone we can all support.

  10. And I’d like to point out that Bosnians and Serbs are the same ethnicity European Slavs. It was religious persecution by the Orthodox Christian Serbs against the Muslim Bosnians.

  11. David, did I say ALL despots were religious fundamentalists? How can you explain the billions of Muslims who live peacefully, who haven’t killed anyone? TPs chart?

  12. TP,
In Bosnia and Albania Muslims lived peacefully with others, I’m not sure your calculations are correct. I worked with Muslims from Bosnia who were ethnically cleansed by the Serbs who are Orthodox Catholic.

    1. Inga, I am afraid you are a bit mixed up since the Serbs are not Orthodox Catholic, but Eastern Orthodox. If you cannot understand the simple divisions between Croats, and Serbs, then I have to doubt much of your story and observations. I wonder if you talked to any of the 300,000 Serbs who were ethnically cleansed from the Kraina in Croatia. Of course, you can care less about the 200,000 Serbs who were done the same in Kosovo which was a traditional and LEGAL part of Serbia. It seems that killing and ethnically cleansing Serbs is GOOD. Doing that to Croats and Muslims is bad.

Then how do you explain Adolf Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Kim Jong-iI, Benito Mussolini, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, Jeffrey Dahmer, and numerous others? How do you explain the MILLIONS of fundamentalists in history who have not killed and maimed others?

I have read that there is always a basis in religion for the atheist who mass murders so I looked up Hitler and this is what I found:

“My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice…For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.” [3]

“Besides that, I believe one thing: there is a Lord God! And this Lord God creates the peoples.” [1] ~Adolf Hitler

“We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations; we have stamped it out” [2] ~Adolf Hitler

      1. happypappies – You have to be careful of quotes taken out of context. Some of those quotes were from when Hitler was in prison, when he had little following. After getting out of prison and rising in power, he tried to work with church bishops to get the churches on his side, so there was a lot of double talk. Twenty years later, when Hitler was in power, he expressed very clearly that National Socialism and religion cannot exist together. In 1941, Hitler said that Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure.

You see, Hitler believed that the strong ought to kill the weak. He turned to science and became a strong believer in the theory of Evolution by Natural Selection. More than that, he applied the theory to human evolution and became a rabid Social Darwinist. This is the philosophy that motivated him to commit atrocities. He rejected the Christian philosophy that the strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak. Instead, he believed that the weak should be destroyed so that they do not use up all the resources that the strong need. He wanted to create a pure race of genetically superior people. Hitler called Christianity a liar and that it should die a natural death. Hitler called Christianity an invention of sick brains and a senseless drug. You can’t take what Hitler said 20 years before and apply it to his whole life. Consider the end of his conversation.

        1. Davidm2575

You speak of Hitler as if he had his mind together as you do when you write. this soliloquy well, its Wagnerian you know, I can hear the thunder…..Sorry. Hitler took drug cocktails to be high and he fell apart and committed suicide and had many very weird people helping him with his sick experiments.

History is always ripe for evil I suppose. You can say all day long what you want but my point was he started out with Jesus being mighty. that was my point.

Charles Manson Got his people high on LSD and sat them around him and as they peaked on their acid he would tell them he was the Second Coming and he was even Named Specially. Charles Will IS Mans Son. Now. Bugliosi wrote that in his book Helter Skelter which I am ashamed to admit how many times I read. But I do know that people are very confused and think strange things about Charisma.

Like I said earlier in this thread, look at that Joseph Kony…..omg. No, don’t

  14. An entire book of a Conspiracy Theory and so many people beating on this drum. These same people were upset when Obama gave his prayer breakfast about the sins in the name of Christianity. I am not an Obama fan I am just pointing this inconsistency out.

  15. The thing is that those countries are all in the 7th century until recently so I believe that your polls are skewed. Sorry
