Palestinian Authority Names Street in Honor Of Terrorist Who Killed Two Israelis and Wounded A Woman and Child

IMG-20151003-WA0006-1-540x357The Palestinian Authority appears to have too many streets named Elm or Main street. Instead, it has decided to name a street after a murderous terrorist, Muhammad Halabi, 19, on the outskirts of Ramallah. Halabi stabbed to death two Israelis, Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi and Aharon Bennett, in the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 3 and also injured Bennett’s wife Adele and their 2-year-old son in the attack. Now Palestinians can live on Halabi street to honor these infamous acts.

Nehamia Lavi, 41, was a rabbi for the right-wing settlement group Ateret Cohanim, which seeks to create a Jewish majority inside the Old City. Halabi stabbed the two ultra-Orthodox Jewish men and wounded the wife of one of them. He then reportedly took a gun from one of the men and fired at tourists and security forces in the area, wounding the couple’s 2-year-old son. He was later shot by Israeli forces.

After the murders by his son, the father of Halabi proclaimed that “I am proud of my son and what he did − he has done what 1.5 million Muslims have failed to do.

Muhannnad-e1443900765101-635x357The Palestinian Authority said that the naming of the street was “to honor Halabi, who carried out a stabbing and shooting operation against settlers in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.” Muhammad Hussein, mayor of Surda-Abu Qash, insisted that “This is the least we can do for Martyr Halabi.”

Now here is the truly mind-blowing element. The Palestinian Bar Association has awarded an honorary law degree on a man who stabbed two people and injured a woman and a baby. It is hard to imagine a more antithetical figure for the concept of the rule of law.

I understand that there is extremism on both sides and I certainly understand that there have been deaths on both sides (including stabbings by Israelis). However, any hope to claim a higher moral ground is lost when the Palestinians select a knife wielding murderer as an honored symbol — and honorary lawyer — in their society.

What do you think?

“Civilian Palestinians are NOT legitimate targets for bullets by either the IDF”

lol. po what if a civilian palestinian attacks a IDF officer should he/she be required to use non-lethal force against lethal force.?

or maybe the IDF should only be armed with knives just to level the playing field?

or maybe if the IDF officer has a gun AND a knife he/she should be required to use only the knife?

also let’s say at a checkpoint a palestinian driver screams “Allahuakhbar” and floors it towards a group of civilian Israelis, which is a fun new tactic of theirs, and an IDF officer has a shot should he not risk the life of the driver?

  2. Heroic Muslim Terrorist Stabs 80-Year-Old Israeli Woman
“Every Martyr will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah”

Another one of Kerry’s frustrated oppressed “Palestinians” went on a stabbing spree in Israel. The 19-year-old terrorist stabbed an 80-year-old Israeli woman. She is in serious condition. The terrorist stabbed two others as well.

The crowd attempted to attack the terrorist, but were held back by the police. A local Rishon Letzion politician named Yitzchak Avshalom has managed to get himself in every news story by bragging that he helped protect the terrorist from angry residents. I’m not sure how he’s planning to run on that, but there have been worse political platforms than protecting terrorists. I just can’t think of any.

Instead the heroic martyr for Palestine has earned a lifetime salary from the Palestinian Authority (funded by US taxpayer money) for stabbing an 80-year-old woman.

As President Abbas of the PLO, the man Obama designed as Israel’s peace partner committed to non-violence, has said, “We bless every drop of blood, that has been spilled for Jerusalem…blood spilled for Allah…Every Martyr will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah”

Especially the ones who stab 80-year-old women.

I do not disagree with the facts about a swath of land that is occupied with one particular identity that is walled IN… can be capable of. This is a modern version of the Cain and Abel story… One brother is determined to be ride the other.
    However, to honor a murder?
As Darren would say, it is a peace accord self destructing move…
    ——————————————————-
Max, I don’t condone/honor any murder, whether by a Palestinian or a Israeli. My argument was always about Prof Turley’s fallacious and hypocritical attempt to establish a false parity between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Especially, when most of the landmark names and statues erected, along with flag flown across the globes are ones celebrating a mass murderer!
Additionally, the Palestinians know there is no peace accord forthcoming. netanyahu and his party, along with previous Israeli leaders have said very clearly that the Palestinians will never have a state of their own. Meanwhile, they have been cutting up Palestine like cheese to insure that what they have is a bunch of Palestinian villages surrounded by settlements.

karen, bambam, Paul and Nick, here is a must read blog entry that catches the Palestinian experience from a Jewish woman’s perspective.
“From these conversations, I gathered that most Palestinians seem to understand a concept that I fight to explain to Americans every day: Judaism and Zionism are not the same thing.”

  5. “Heroic Muslim Terrorist “Attacked the First Women He Saw”
“The terrorist grabbed the woman and held her in front of him, trying to prevent the guard from shooting him”
    October 30, 2015

(Nirit Zmora, the Jewish victim of the stabbing attack.)

Another great moment in “courageous resistance” by the Muslim occupiers of Israel against the indigenous Jewish population. The Palestinian Authority has been naming streets and parks after terrorists. This martyr definitely deserves a whole city named after him. Maybe a whole continent.

His name should be a byword for the courage of a Muslim majority determined to “resist” by stabbing Jewish women in the back and then trying to use them as human shields.

The head of the parking lot’s security, Daniel Twizer, said the Palestinian man arrived at the junction in a cab and approached the parking lot beside the Rami Levi supermarket.

He apparently intended to enter the lot, but was scared off by its guard in front of the lot, Twizer speculated.

Instead, he attacked the first woman he saw. The knife’s handle broke from the force of the blow and the knife remained in her back, Twizer said.

The Rami Levi security guard saw the stabbing and ran in their direction, shouting “terrorist.”

Soldiers and other bystanders joined him in confronting the attacker.

The terrorist grabbed the woman and held her in front of him, trying to prevent the guard from shooting him. He then let her go and ran in the direction of the road, where he was caught.

Perhaps President Abbas of the PLO who, according to Obama, is Israel’s “partner in peace”, can make another speech explaining how this courageous martyr, who will go on to draw a sizable salary from the Palestinian Authority (subsidized by US taxpayers) for the rest of his life, will go to paradise.

Abbas did say, “We bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah, Allah willing. Every Martyr (Shahid) will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah.”

Nirit Zmora, 40, a mother of 8, was the woman who was stabbed in the back by this glorious martyr. She is reportedly recovering. Her son said that she believes it’s a miracle that the handle of the knife broke, presumably preventing the terrorist from using it to stab her or anyone else again.

But it was still a close call.

The victim, Nirit Zamora, was stabbed in the back, with the knife apparently missing her spinal cord by just centimeters. Complicated surgery to remove the blade was completed Wednesday night, after she had been transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem with the knife still in her back.

The knife had actually penetrated her spinal column, but missed the spinal cord; had it been cut, the woman would probably have been paralyzed, if not killed.

I’m sure the CNN headline will be, “Jewish Spine Discriminates Against Muslim Knife.”

  6. I hope to hell THall is still around and gets to read this. I had forgotten about the ‘CAIR offices in the WH” stupidity.

So much for THAT lover of history. He gets his history from the Daily Mail.

  7. Karen, in case you missed it, here is Randyjet’s reply to your ill informed post early. Intersting that we both reached the same conclusion about you 🙂

Karen, I knew a bunch of Iranians who had to flee from the Shah and whose folks were tortured and murdered by this girls family, so I have ZERO sympathy for her or her family. They richly deserved their fate since they dealt death and torture to so many Iranians. She and her family made their living serving the interests of the US and killing their own people in that service. You are on the side of the criminals who killed off democracy in iran. Since you have so little knowledge of what the CIA did to Iran, I will remind you that it was the US and the CIA which overthrew the elected government of Iran and installed the dictatorship of the Shah. I am glad that you are open about your hatred for freedom.

I am truly amazed that you think that Carter and the US should have done something to save the Shah from his own people. I guess you have no problem with the US invading and running other folks countries and imposing dictatorships on them. Just as we did in South Vietnam. Since I come from an American Revolutionary war heritage, I am on the other side. I stand with the violence of the slaves against their masters. You stand with the slave masters. Thank you for being honest at least.

  8. The Shah and his secret police, Savak, experts at torture. Democracy in action?

It’s been awhile since we’ve sung their praises.

Nice to see all points of view are represented here.

  9. RWL: Ps. 147:20 means God’s relationship with OT “Israel” has sum total nothing to do with some piece of dirt labeled “Israel” in the ME in 1948 AD by westerners in the USA, Britain, etc.

Also, per Deuteronomy, every single “Ioudaios” male is required, no exceptions, to visit the Temple (the real OT Temple which Rome destroyed in 70AD) twice (or was it thrice?) per year on certain holidays. The punishment for disobeying is to be utterly cast out and killed (again, no exceptions of any kind).

So the next time you meet a male who alleges they are a so-called “Judaic,” ask them if they visited The sacrificial Temple (with altar covered in blood) on the proper holidays in the last year. When they tell you, “There is no sacrificial Temple to visit, you silly person,” tell them then they are no longer an OT child of Abraham, and instead practice some other contrived fake phony religion. Show them the vs. in Dt to prove it.

(Sidebar: per Oxford’s Dictionary, the word “Jew” first appeared in print in any language in 1775 AD, in Sheridan’s comedy The Rivals: “…she hath the skin of a mummy and the beard of a Jew…” The word “Jew” is found no where in history on the planet earth prior to 1775AD, hence of course no “Jew” existed in the 1st C AD and Jesus was of course not a so-called “Jew.” But don’t let truth and history get in the way of your bigoted lies and fantasies, so much more fun………….You can say the word “Ioudaios” properly interprets as “Jew” but the Bible knows nothing about the word “Jew” because the word never existed before 1775AD. And save your pathetic rambling that I agree with Hitler on this subject, because agreeing with Hitler than Tuesday directly follows Monday does not make one a Nazi…or does it?)

But the OT proves nothing to a Judaic because the OT is nothing but a book of poems and stories only rightly interpreted by a Rabbi.

Americans need to wake up, smell the roses, and let Israel and the rest of the middle east make their own peace, however violent it needs to be. If Israel needs to move to TX or some where else on the planet, so be it. We need to tell Israel and the rest of its neighbors: work it out, have a nice day, see you later, or maybe not.

    1. Josseph,

‘The OT is nothing but a book of poems and stories…..’

But then you use the OT to delineate the current state of Israel (or least the 1948 status?)….

Using the Oxford dictionary as a source for denigrating or determining the status of Jews or the OT (honestly, I don’t know what you were doing? Were you trying to say, based upon the Oxford dictionary, the Hebrew people did not exist or the term ‘Jew’ did not exist until 1775 AD)?

You are either drunk or do not believe that Jesus is the Christ, and/or the Bible means very little to you?

If it is the latter, then I will have to refer you to the above mentioned websites in my response to Jeff. Both websites have very valuable info for you, and Dr. William Lane Craig will be glad to ‘open your eyes’ to your lack of understanding the OT (therefore, the entire Bible) if you email him.

If you are drunk, (based upon your Hitler comment, it sounds like you are), then I only engage individuals who are sober.

Have a blessed day, in Jesus name…….

  10. Paul:

He’s not going to answer. He’s probably just looked up a map of the former Ottoman Empire and the history of the region of Palestine. Any map will show the vast majority of land went to Arab Jordan and only a tiny sliver went to Israel, which is a really small country. So he’s been told one thing, and discovered that it’s not actually true.

    1. po – I asked you a real question. You can answer it either as a percentage or in acres or hectares.

        1. po – you made a statement. I asked you to back it up. Don’t change the subject. I am beginning to think you cannot answer the question.

          1. Is this the same Paul who has, to date, never backed up a statement he made?
The same Paul who made the claim that CAIR has an office in the white house?

Weren’t you a history teacher, Paul?
You know how to read maps, right?

            1. po – it was the Muslim Brotherhood and they have 4 offices in the White House. However, you made the statement. Back it up.

              1. Paul, as soon as you back up that statement, i’ll back up mine.
Fist it was CAIR and now it is the MB. And first it was one office and now it is 4 offices!
                Wow! Wow! Wow!

It’s pointless to rationalize with someone who says such irrational statements.

    We agree there, karen.
Where do you get your information by the way? Is it just bad luck that you always end up on those sites that are islamophobic or ahistorical or does your internet run on Fox News’ servers?

  12. Another testament to character and perseverance is a Persian woman I knew. She would still react physically when she described the fall of the Shah. Her father was in the military, and most of her family was murdered. She shook when she described the night they came for them, like she was still there. She managed to get asylum in the US. Instead of hating the US for Carter’s role, she embraced Western culture and freedom. She was so glad she made it here instead of being killed or subjugated.
