We have often discussed how Islamic extremists seem to recruit mentally ill candidates for terrorist operations. What is most unnerving about the history of the couple is that they appeared to be fully functioning and relatively successful people. However, exposure to extreme elements on the Internet and in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan seemed to unleash a deep hate and latent violence within them. If that is now clear is that San Bernardino gunman Syed Farook came from a family and married a woman with extreme views on Jews and Islam. An Italian newspaper interviewed Farook’s father who offered his own bizarre take on the world. In the meantime, more is being learned about the entry of Tashfeen Malik, who married Syed Rizwan Farook after meeting him online and coming to the U.S. on a fiance visa – including this entry photograph.
Syed Farook, who lives in Corona, California, said that he was aware that his son idolized the ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi and embraced the call for an Islamic caliphate. He added that his son “was also obsessed with Israel.”
Now her is the twisted take the father: “I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist anymore . . . Geopolitics is changing: Russia, China and America don’t want Jews there anymore. They are going to bring the Jews back to Ukraine. What is the point of fighting? We have already done it and we lost. Israel is not to be fought with weapons, but with politics. But he did not listen to me, he was obsessed . . . I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist anymore.”
The father’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, Rafia, said in divorce papers in 2006 that her then-husband “is mentally ill and is on medication but is also an alcoholic and drinks with the medicine.”
Tashfeen Malik appears equally deranged after being radicalized in religious schools in Pakistan. Malik, 29, was from to a wealthy family in Pakistan’s southern Punjab province that moved to Saudi Arabia. She would later study pharmacology in Pakistan in 2007. She also studied at Al Huda, a chain of religious institutes, on a daily basis. Authorities are focusing on a period from roughly 2007 to 2014 that she spent in her native Pakistan. Officials are probing her ties to an extremist and influential imam in Islamabad at the infamous “Red Mosque.”
The mosque’s infamous cleric, Maulana Abdul Aziz, has generated Islamic extremists from a chain of radical schools. There appears no atrocity that is not beyond the pale for the cleric. He attracted international attention when he refused to denounce the Peshawar school attack that left 148 people dead, including 100 children. Instead, he referred to it as “an understandable response” to the government’s campaign against the Taliban and affiliated groups.
Officials are also interested in a mysterious $28,500 deposit in the couple’s bank account shortly before the attack.

As is evident from my previous comments on the San Bernardino incident, I had accepted the official story that the two perpetrators were the Farooks. In the last several days, however, new evidence regarding the shootings has come to my attention, including the testimony of an eyewitness inside the building where they took place (and interviewed by a major US news network) that the shootings were carried out by three tall, athletic, white men in black military gear.
Here are two videos that examine this and other evidence that the attack was carried out by others, rather than by the Farooks:

“Ken, they [the USAF whistleblowers] were featured on democracy Now recently…and I would make it mandatory for every American to watch that program.”
Rather than making watching the program mandatory, how about just supplying a link to it? 🙂
Good point, Ken… http://www.democracynow.org/2015/11/20/exclusive_air_force_whistleblowers_risk_prosecution

“…it is OK for the US and Israel and allies to splatter Muslims [all] over [the] landscape using bombs and rockets from jets and drones, but it is wicked indeed for a Palestinian to stab a Jew.”
Isabelle Kumar: “That’s brings me to the subject of terrorism then. Because that is really a global blight and some people, I think including yourself, will say that this is blowback for US terrorist policy around the world. How far is the US and its allies responsible for what we’re seeing now in terms of the terrorist attacks around the world?”
Noam Chomsky: “Remember the worst terrorist campaign in the world by far is the one that’s being orchestrated in Washington. That’s the global assassination campaign. There’s never [before] been a terrorist campaign of that scale.”
Isabelle Kumar: “When you say global assassination campaign…?”
Noam Chomsky: “The drone campaign – that’s exactly what it is. Over large parts of the world, the United States is systematically, publicly, openly – there’s nothing secret about what I’m saying, we all know it – it’s carrying out regular campaigns to assassinate people who the US government suspects of intending to harm it someday. And indeed it is, as you mentioned, a terror-generated campaign, and when you bomb a village in Yemen, say, and you kill somebody – maybe the person you were aiming at maybe not – and other people who happened to be in the neighborhood – how do you think they are going to react? They’re going to take revenge.”

“To all those who want to leave the abandoned baby of these animals to the family be aware that the MOTHER of Farook is also affiliated with an organization that promotes the Caliphate. In other words she is also a sympathizer of radical Islam.”
“THIS is why we must halt immigration from Muslim countries and immigration of people who may be affiliated with ISIS or other cults who want to kill Americans.”
These US Air Force whistleblowers suggest that there is something else we can do to protect Americans from terrorist acts:
“But how well informed can U.S. citizens be on this subject [the US Drone Program] when the major news media time and again ignore or under-report drone-strike stories — as we have discussed here and here in recent weeks? Stories — such as The Intercept’s October series based on a trove of classified materials provided by a national security whistleblower — that would likely raise serious questions about the drone program in many more Americans’ minds if they were actually given the information?
“And now, in the latest example of journalistic negligence, The New York Times, Washington Post and other mainstream news organizations in late November continued their apparent policy of no-bad-news-reporting-about-drones.
“This time, the major media chose to ignore four former Air Force drone-war personnel who went public with an open letter to President Obama. The letter urged the President to reconsider a program that killed ‘innocent civilians,’ and which ‘only fueled the feelings of hatred that ignited terrorism and groups like ISIS, while also serving as a fundamental recruiting tool [for extremists] similar to Guantanamo Bay.’ (Emphasis added)
In strong, dramatic language, the four men — in the letter and subsequent press appearances — challenged the official Obama White House/Pentagon/CIA public view that civilians are rarely killed by drones, and that drones make Americans safer and are helping defeat terrorists. Rather, they said that the U.S. drone war plays right into the hands of ISIS and other extremist groups by terrorizing local populations and killing innocent civilians, resulting in heightened anti-U.S. feeling and more recruits for ISIS. (Emphasis added)
“Now it’s not every day that four former drone operators go public with their anguish-filled stories of the drone program killing innocent people and creating blowback against the United States.
“In fact, there has not been any day like that. Until now, that has never happened. You would think that this would meet some textbook definition of news — something new, uncommon, dramatic and consequential. When President Obama or a proven liar about the drone program, CIA Director John Brennan, propagandize about drones and how wonderful and precise and well-nigh infallible they are in crushing extremists, not killing civilians and making us safe — that is what the mainstream media dutifully reports as news.
But when four drone whistleblowers — who sat at the very heart of the system guiding Hellfire missiles from Predator drones to human targets in Afghanistan and Iraq — come forward to undermine that tidy little story, those same news outlets turn their collective back.
“Voicing such sharp criticism of a top-secret program with which they were all involved is an especially risky move given that the Obama administration has shown itself to be the most anti-whistleblower administration ever. Obama’s Justice Department has prosecuted more than twice as many whistleblowers under the Espionage Act as all previous presidents combined since the passage of the law in 1917.
“The letter to Obama, also addressed to Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and CIA Director Brennan, said that the Bush and Obama administrations ‘have built a drone program that is one of the most devastating driving forces for terrorism and destabilization around the world. They expressed guilt, and are experiencing PTSD, as a result of ‘our roles in facilitating this systematic loss of innocent life.’ (Emphasis added)
“In a pointed reference to the Obama administration’s statements in support of the drone program, the letter stated: ‘We witnessed gross waste, mismanagement, abuses of power, and our country’s leaders lying publicly about the effectiveness of the drone program.’
“And, drawing a link between the recent Paris attacks and drone killings creating more terrorists and blowback, the whistleblowers added: ‘We cannot sit silently by and witness tragedies like the attacks in Paris, knowing the devastating effects the drone program has overseas and at home.’ “ (Emphasis added)
Ken, they were featured on democracy Now recently…and I would make it mandatory for every American to watch that program…the stubborn ignorance displayed on this blog would, perhaps, be curbed by such a program and a daily dose of facts… but facts,a s we know, have a liberal, peaceful bias.
Posted this on the wrong article, in response to another assertion that the U.S. invaded “the wrong country” after 9-11.
Considered rationally terrorism is a miniscule problem, unfortunately humans are incapable considering it rationally and their overreactions do more damage than the terrorism itself.
Even the 9/11 airlinering of the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and a field in Pensylvania the most spectacularly successfully terrorist act of all time killed under 3000 people, that is about a tenth of any years US gun deaths and since never again will the occupants of any aircraft allow a hijacker into the cockpit impossible to repeat.
The real problem is the over the top and self defeating reaction of the Western countries to terrorism. Attacked by Saudi Arabia the US invades Iraq and creates conditions in the middle east for the rise of IS.
We really need to get people focusing on the extreme unlikelyhood of any particular person falling victim to a terrorist act of the same order as winning the lottery and ratchet down the extent of the how dare they response to violence being carried out against the legitimate direction, that is it OK for the US and Israel and allies to splatter Muslims over landscape using bombs and rockets from jets and drones but it is wicked indeed for a Palestinian to stab a jew.
Well said, Carlyle!
I forgot to add all the Afghanistan deaths to the tally. And I didn’t know that Bin Laden and AL Queda were based in Saudi Arabia. I thought that the Taliban provided them safe haven, headquarters, training and planning centers in Afghanistan
More blah blah blah going on over here. If this isn’t enough proof for you, too bad. Look for it yourself and leave me out of your endless questions and doubts.
San Bernardino Shooting – Staged Distraction From Most Massive Geopolitcal Scandal Of Our Time
This is how stupid they KNOW “we” are.
Paul C. Schulte……I thought it was 40 million, or 100%+ of Iraq’s population.
Tom Nash – Couldn’t have been 100% because ISIS is being led by former Iraqi generals. Some got out alive.
I agree with Dust Bunny Queen’s statements at about ten turdy this morning. She is more rationale than me and lays it out well.
All the hypocritical bleating of the American propaganda goats about democracy is belied by at least 60 years of the US backing the most undemocratic regimes in the middle east. Then when they dont like Saddam they overthrow him in the name of nonexistent WMDs and democracy. They hail the Arab spring and when a free election puts the Muslim Brotherhood in charge they approve a coup d’etat. We chase al Queda one decade and fund them the next. The US always support the worst of the worst, the Saudis, because they have the most oil. The jews in the USA back one man one vote, the Jews in Israel back one jew one vote, millions of palestinians no votes. Assads help Christian Arabs who have fled from Turks, Assads fight terror, US tries to overthrow him. Gets IS in the bargain and hates on Russia for bombing it.
This stuff is so false, such a pack of infernal lies, such an abomination for a decent people such as Americans who lack the power to control their own phony government, it is truly damnable shame to we who are Americans.
Understand this Muslims, Americans don’t hate you, but we are the most fooled and tricked and lied to and subtly controlled population in history. Until we Americans defang our military industrial and zionist complex and get our house in order, this will never end. So let us try and sort thing out here and then maybe we can pull back our mischief making dogs of war and let the middle east sort itself out without us always meddling.
And make no mistake — that complex whacked Kennedy, like E Howard Hunt said they did, because of Bay of Pigs, because of his threat to get out of Vietnam, because of his moderation in dealing with the Soviets, because of opposition to zionism, and a hundred other reasons they had to dislike him. So the US is probably under a de facto post coup d’etat situation itself, aquiesced to by ever president since who learned how captive to his Praetorians he really is, once elected..
And they would probably do it to Trump too if he wins and dares to upset the apple cart. But we’ll never be free of these lies if we dont rebel. Freakish as it may seem, defiant of all logic, Trump is the only candidate who could be strong and popular enough with the core american population to stand up to the military industrial complex that itself is a creation of the core american population. This is probably the last chance in an election to reverse the relentless trajectory towards global empire that the nutjob establishment in DC has totally embraced on both sides of the aisle. The democrats hate him and the republicans do. What better endorsement can Trump have then the hate of both sides?
Funny, John, I have come to that realization that Trump is the key to everything.
If there is hope for this country still, he is the one to allow for the demarcation from the duopoly of oligarchy and for the system to reboot itself in the next presidential elections.
If no hope is left, he is the key through which the civil war happens and groups rise against groups, and strangers rise against strangers and neighbors rise against neighbors…
It was supposed to happen with Mitt Romney, the masses would not have taken it any more, but Obama’s win placated that movement, for people had hope, and that hope extended the oligarch’s grasp on the system.
now here is another thing to consider. Saudis not only hate iran because it is shiite, not only because it is allied with russia, but because it is a republic.
just like iraq replaced a monarchy with a republic, so did iran.
Saudis are next.
Who are their buddies?

People who dislike Muslims can quite easily come to dislike Jews too. The overly broad comments one often hears about Muslims? One might as well say that “jews are a threat to the american banking system…
That is exactly what i have been telling bambam/ KFClemming…islamophobia will come and go, antisemitism will always remain…you guys don’t want the same rope you are swinging to be the one to hang you.
Yep, the lessons of the holocaust lost on those who should always remember them.
here are three things to really dislike about islam:
1. they forbid usury. we should approve of usury, because compound interest makes the rich richer, and the poor poorer, and that is how we all get to be ekwalz.
2. they think men and women are different. Hey– that’s HATE! men and women are just alike. the scientists are lying about DNA and genitals being different, just like they lie when they say boys like trucks and girls like dolls. More hate!
3. they believe religion has a role in law. HATE! Religion is just bunk. Atheists have ALL the answers. Atheism is the official religion of the USA, like it or not you pious, arrogant religious haters! Didnt you get the letter from Mr Jefferson telling us what the first amendment really means? haters! the wise jews at the ACLU and other famous jewish atheists like alan dershovitz or michael newdow or ayn rand-rosenbaum are saving Christians from themselves because we are all equals! and truth has not place when it is hate! and religion is all equally and utterly false, THAT is the american dogma, love it or leave it! we accept that on faith, by gosh.
4. the Muslims dare to criticize Jews. Rather, Judaism is the REAL religion of peace, and that is why they wanted to crucify Jesus, because HE was a violent terrorist! Not that Barabbas. He was a “Freedom fighter!” Pilate had it all wrong. Jesus was a troublemaker! And after him, neither was a terrorist that bar Kochba, he too was a “freedom fighter!” Just like the men of the Irgun who blew up the King David hotel. They, the users of the first truck bomb in the middle east, they were INNOVATORS! Freedom fighters! Thankfully the Jewish state is mostly run by jewish atheists who are going to free those dead palestinians from the religious biases one way or another! Muslims DARE to criticize jews! Thats enough reason for the Donald to exclude them alone now, after all his daughter is Jewish. RIght? Or is that hate? See even I cant keep track of my own BS. Let’s not pretend that anything the media is going to say about anything will make much sense either. Just remember: don’t think in terms of groups! we’re all just individuals, give peace a chance! freedom, bread and circuses!!
sorry here is that fun article. its not antisemitic since a jew wrote it
kind of like this article where the jew says jews control hollywood. now if a neonazi said that, it would be hate. when a jew says it, it’s diversity and pride
Oy vey! stop the hate! Make aliyah NOW!
People who dislike Muslims can quite easily come to dislike Jews too. The overly broad comments one often hears about Muslims? One might as well say that “jews are a threat to the american banking system because they so often engineer fraud and massive failure… look at milliken, boesky, madoff, wiggin, belfort…. look at greenberg running aig into the ground..you could not throw a baseball into the room at an investment banker meting without it hitting a jew and bouncing off and hitting another… even jewish people like to talk about this, here is an interesting article about jewishness and the ‘wolf of wall street….” we could say that the jewish reserve has been controlled by Jews now and for the past what 20 some years… yellen, bernanke, greenspan, all jewish; the recent contest was between yellen and two other jewish candidates… rubin, secretary of the treasury…. we could talk about the Rothschilds and not veer strictly from the facts and conclude that they were financing both sides of wars in europe for well over a hundred years…. one might say “jewish banker parasites” in the same sense that one says “muslim terrorists.” I would never say such things, because I know goys would line up ten deep to take the place of every jewish fraud if they were clever enough, and also I would not say such things because I feel it would hurt the feelings of my jewish friends….. but other people might say such hateful, bigoted, things, and come to the conclusion that while we are excluding muslims we might consider other tribal peoples who seem to present social issues of their own… such as promoting pornography, another famously jewish industry, connected at the hip (or groin) to Hollywood another famous jewish industry… henry ford said they controlled the booze rackets too, he was a hater too, not sure if that was true or not, I guess the bronfmans of universal studies fame did own seagrams too right? but who cares…. as Pilate said to Jesus, “QUID EST VERITAS?”
And I remember Abraham Foxman making this point, in different words, many times, that those who “demonize” all Muslims, could quite soon demonize all jews.
I mean this sort of thing is just hate, just like saying that Mexicans are overrrepresented among drug smugglers, or landscapers, which is just as hateful as saying that black men commit a disproporationate amount of violent crime! Because even though it is verifiably true, it is just hate! We can’t hate. We cant say the truth if it is hate, can we? We are all ekwalz! Groups are just a fiction of the imagination. Culture means nothing. Groups are just for marketing, nobody else can reckon them. Kind of like affirmative action: you can only discriminate against whites, not everybody else. Oh I guess whites and asians, because they are smarter than everybody, even though it is just pure hate to look at IQ stats and come to such a hateful, yet true, conclusion, that elevates groups over individuals. Only a hater like Trump would dare to use groups to solve problems right? Only a hater thinks in terms of groups, even if it’s true. Remember that people.
Stay stupid folks. You make better marks that way.
So where was the mother while all this stockpiling was going on in her garage???? And how about the interviews with Farook’s sister? For some reason her attitude and words didn’t ring true. Hopefully the investigation will look at them as well.
And regarding being at war, yes, we have been at war with the Muslim/Arabo world for decades…we are currently bombing 13 Muslim countries, killing countless civilians in the process.
4 million Iraqis died from the illegal invasion of Iraq.
What, did we think there would be no blowback to it?
That we can build a whole industry out of bombing Muslims and expect we would be safe from its karmic energy?
Fascinating to me how Al Qaeda lured us into financially bankrupting ourselves in this war on terror, and ISIS is luring us into morally bankrupting ourselves just as eagerly.
While all we needed to do with be juster and fairer and stop purveying violence unabetted upon the globe.
po – would you like to give us a cite that the invasion of Iraq was illegal? Also one on the 4 million killed?
What Jeff said.
We know this much: there has been 360 mass shootings this year, 2 were by a Muslim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am waiting for us to go after all the other groups concerned.
And how many are they? The majority was from white men from a Christian background.
I say we deport white men from christian backgrounds and stop them from coming through. They are at war with us.
By the way, Nick, you think that simply by Obama uttering Islamic terrorism everything would be fine?
po – want to give a cite on those 360 mass killings?
I stand corrected, Paulie, 353
po – most of the shooting were by unknown, so we don’t know if they were Muslim or not.
So then Paul, should we assume Muslims did it?
po – we shouldn’t assume they didn’t.
Accordingly, Paul, we shouldn’t assume you didn’t.
po – what we should assume is that I did not discard the possibility.
Nor do I, Paul, discard the possibility some of those acts of terrorism were committed by you 🙂
po – not my style.
Whether this particular incident was due to Islamic extremism or mental illness or a disgruntled employee or all three does not matter. The over reaction of people to the possibility that this was a terrorist attack is insane.
People aren’t overreacting to the attack. People are angry that our political leaders are most interested in managing our reaction. And this isn’t an “over” reaction because those people have not changed their priorities.
To all those who want to leave the abandoned baby of these animals to the family be aware that the MOTHER of Farook is also affiliated with an organization that promotes the Caliphate. In other words she is also a sympathizer of radical Islam.
Farook’s affiliation with ICNA was revealed on Friday when MSNBC and other new outlets scoured the Farooks’ apartment in Redlands, Cal. An MSNBC reporter found a certificate of appreciation presented to Safia Farook last summer by ICNA’s sisters’ wing.
THIS is why we must halt immigration from Muslim countries and immigration of people who may be affiliated with ISIS or other cults who want to kill Americans. People made fun of Donald for suggesting that we should “go after” the families of these killers. I don’t mean we should put THEM in jail as well but they should be examined very carefully and deported if found to be supporting or aiding others to perpetrate WAR on the American people.
We ARE at war and to pretend otherwise is to put your head firmly up your own fundament.
Until we are able to firmly, positively vet those who want to come into this country, from anywhere, we should pause immigration for the safety of the American Citizens. Until we are able to re examine and re assess those who have already come in under our loosey goosey immigration system, we should be suspicious of ALL who have come in recently.
The San Bernardino and Boston instances were done by people who should have been examined and have been red flagged for their travels back and forth to countries that sponsor terrorism and countries that are know to train terrorists.
The American People are not stupid and know that we are in danger. They see that our (so called) leaders are cowards and will NOT protect us and that in fact they want to make us even more helpless. So….YES…..when someone like Trump bombasts and makes some over the top statements, we recognize that they contain an element of truth.
We are not safe and our countries leaders do not care. It may be drastic, but we MUST stop letting everyone and anyone enter this country without any knowledge of who they are and where they are going once in the country.
(reposting this on the other thread about immigration)
