We have often discussed how Islamic extremists seem to recruit mentally ill candidates for terrorist operations. What is most unnerving about the history of the couple is that they appeared to be fully functioning and relatively successful people. However, exposure to extreme elements on the Internet and in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan seemed to unleash a deep hate and latent violence within them. If that is now clear is that San Bernardino gunman Syed Farook came from a family and married a woman with extreme views on Jews and Islam. An Italian newspaper interviewed Farook’s father who offered his own bizarre take on the world. In the meantime, more is being learned about the entry of Tashfeen Malik, who married Syed Rizwan Farook after meeting him online and coming to the U.S. on a fiance visa – including this entry photograph.
Syed Farook, who lives in Corona, California, said that he was aware that his son idolized the ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi and embraced the call for an Islamic caliphate. He added that his son “was also obsessed with Israel.”
Now her is the twisted take the father: “I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist anymore . . . Geopolitics is changing: Russia, China and America don’t want Jews there anymore. They are going to bring the Jews back to Ukraine. What is the point of fighting? We have already done it and we lost. Israel is not to be fought with weapons, but with politics. But he did not listen to me, he was obsessed . . . I told him he had to stay calm and be patient because in two years Israel will not exist anymore.”
The father’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, Rafia, said in divorce papers in 2006 that her then-husband “is mentally ill and is on medication but is also an alcoholic and drinks with the medicine.”
Tashfeen Malik appears equally deranged after being radicalized in religious schools in Pakistan. Malik, 29, was from to a wealthy family in Pakistan’s southern Punjab province that moved to Saudi Arabia. She would later study pharmacology in Pakistan in 2007. She also studied at Al Huda, a chain of religious institutes, on a daily basis. Authorities are focusing on a period from roughly 2007 to 2014 that she spent in her native Pakistan. Officials are probing her ties to an extremist and influential imam in Islamabad at the infamous “Red Mosque.”
The mosque’s infamous cleric, Maulana Abdul Aziz, has generated Islamic extremists from a chain of radical schools. There appears no atrocity that is not beyond the pale for the cleric. He attracted international attention when he refused to denounce the Peshawar school attack that left 148 people dead, including 100 children. Instead, he referred to it as “an understandable response” to the government’s campaign against the Taliban and affiliated groups.
Officials are also interested in a mysterious $28,500 deposit in the couple’s bank account shortly before the attack.

As is evident from my previous comments on the San Bernardino incident, I had accepted the official story that the two perpetrators were the Farooks. In the last several days, however, new evidence regarding the shootings has come to my attention, including the testimony of an eyewitness inside the building where they took place (and interviewed by a major US news network) that the shootings were carried out by three tall, athletic, white men in black military gear.

Considered rationally terrorism is a miniscule problem, unfortunately humans are incapable considering it rationally and their overreactions do more damage than the terrorism itself.
Even the 9/11 airlinering of the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and a field in Pensylvania the most spectacularly successfully terrorist act of all time killed under 3000 people, that is about a tenth of any years US gun deaths and since never again will the occupants of any aircraft allow a hijacker into the cockpit impossible to repeat.
The real problem is the over the top and self defeating reaction of the Western countries to terrorism. Attacked by Saudi Arabia the US invades Iraq and creates conditions in the middle east for the rise of IS.
We really need to get people focusing on the extreme unlikelyhood of any particular person falling victim to a terrorist act of the same order as winning the lottery and ratchet down the extent of the how dare they response to violence being carried out against the legitimate direction, that is it OK for the US and Israel and allies to splatter Muslims over landscape using bombs and rockets from jets and drones but it is wicked indeed for a Palestinian to stab a jew.

So where was the mother while all this stockpiling was going on in her garage???? And how about the interviews with Farook’s sister? For some reason her attitude and words didn’t ring true. Hopefully the investigation will look at them as well.

Whether this particular incident was due to Islamic extremism or mental illness or a disgruntled employee or all three does not matter. The over reaction of people to the possibility that this was a terrorist attack is insane.
People aren’t overreacting to the attack. People are angry that our political leaders are most interested in managing our reaction. And this isn’t an “over” reaction because those people have not changed their priorities.

Farook’s affiliation with ICNA was revealed on Friday when MSNBC and other new outlets scoured the Farooks’ apartment in Redlands, Cal. An MSNBC reporter found a certificate of appreciation presented to Safia Farook last summer by ICNA’s sisters’ wing.
THIS is why we must halt immigration from Muslim countries and immigration of people who may be affiliated with ISIS or other cults who want to kill Americans. People made fun of Donald for suggesting that we should “go after” the families of these killers. I don’t mean we should put THEM in jail as well but they should be examined very carefully and deported if found to be supporting or aiding others to perpetrate WAR on the American people.
We ARE at war and to pretend otherwise is to put your head firmly up your own fundament.
Until we are able to firmly, positively vet those who want to come into this country, from anywhere, we should pause immigration for the safety of the American Citizens. Until we are able to re examine and re assess those who have already come in under our loosey goosey immigration system, we should be suspicious of ALL who have come in recently.
The San Bernardino and Boston instances were done by people who should have been examined and have been red flagged for their travels back and forth to countries that sponsor terrorism and countries that are know to train terrorists.
The American People are not stupid and know that we are in danger. They see that our (so called) leaders are cowards and will NOT protect us and that in fact they want to make us even more helpless. So….YES…..when someone like Trump bombasts and makes some over the top statements, we recognize that they contain an element of truth.
We are not safe and our countries leaders do not care. It may be drastic, but we MUST stop letting everyone and anyone enter this country without any knowledge of who they are and where they are going once in the country.
