We have previously discussed the bizarre treatment of young women who have turned to Bernie Sanders with other young people in unprecedented numbers. Democratic and feminist leaders have increasingly treated those women as ignorant, naive or disloyal. However the most shocking and sexist statement came from feminist icon Gloria Steinem who told Bill Maher on Friday night that young women are simply looking for boys and the “boys are with Bernie.” In the meantime, with Hillary Clinton next to her, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said that women supporting Sanders should go to hell. Why? These are women who are refusing to be sexist and simply support Clinton because she is a women. Isn’t that what the gender revolution was about? Many young women have been polled and say that they view Clinton as dishonest and the very personification of the establishment. One can certainly contest those views but the idea that women should be damned or dismissed for not supporting a woman should seem . . . well . . . sexist. Moreover, I fail to see how any of this is helping change any minds among young women.
Steinem triggered a firestorm when, after being asked about the heavy lead of Sanders among younger women, said “When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie.” This is like repeating the long-standing insult that women just go to college for husbands. Even as a joke, it would be tasteless but, in this context, reflects the growing divide between older feminists and women between 18 and 30.
Not to be outdone Albright continued with, “just remember: there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.” Really? Does that mean supporting Carly Fiorina or someone like Sarah Palin? What is fascinating is that these young women are looking beyond gender and they are critical of what they see in Clinton on the issues, including issues not directly linked or beneficial to them. Clinton responded to these comments by laughing in appreciation.
There seems to be a rising level of guilt treatment or open contempt by older feminists for young women in failing to fall blindly into line behind Clinton. Younger women have proven far more skeptical including in response to Clinton’s statement that she cannot be considered the “establishment” in the race because she is a woman. The campaign is clearly pushing this line to press young women but it seems remarkably heavy handed and insulting to me. There are legitimate reasons to oppose (and legitimate reasons to support) Hillary, who has insisted that she is running not as the best woman but the best leader. Many (not all) younger woman has found Sanders more compelling as a leader. Yet, they are facing these insulting from older women for coming to what they view as the wrong decision in not supporting a woman.
What do you think?

bam bam; Money Nation came up with Sanders net worth of $528,014

What do you think of this video?
Between Bernie, who, as a senator, made between $165,000 and $175,000 a year, along with his wife, who served as president for a couple of colleges, making just as much, if not more, per year, these two are worth a mere $500,000? You mean to tell me that these two Socialists, who honeymooned in the former Soviet Union, are worth no more than $500,000? Neither one is spending the money on hair or clothing, so, where’s it all going? My guess is that the ole Bern is spending it on broads and booze.
Oh, yeah, the last college booted the wife from her position, where she took a cool $200,000 in compensation as she left a school–one which was struggling financially. Please, tell us, Uncle Bernie, about all the greedy, insensitive people, who only care about themselves and don’t care about the little guy. Oh, pleeeeeez.
Bernie Sanders may be against the proverbial 1% even though technically with a net worth of approx. $600,000 he IS the 1% but you’ll never see him going after the REAL crime lords; the .000000001%. To THEM Sanders is a puny little gnat.
Newsflash for the feminists; being equal does not mean being the SAME. I was with my boss’ seven year old daughter the other day watching “How to Train Your Dragon”; just another pathetic piece of feminist garbage. The rating was PG so I thought some ‘parental guidance’ was in order. I asked my young friend why all the girls in the movie were so mean. I also pointed out the lack of realism being displayed when the petite young ‘heroine’ effortlessly picked up a burley young man, swung him around her head 5 or 6 times and smashed him flying against a brick wall. Girls can’t do that in real life. M’kay? It’s a good thing.
And, for the LOVE, not LIVE, of God. . .
I’m always amused as these programs insist upon unearthing a couple of practically dead, washed up, has-beens for their opinions on the upcoming election. Sure, Steinem, who is a chipper and spry 81, and Albright, who is every bit of 105, are really relevant in 2016. And, for the live of God, could someone, ANYONE, PLEASE tell Albright to sit with her knees together when she’s wearing a skirt on camera!!! We can all see her special place in Hell!
Young women, supporting Sanders, are just looking for men? Not too far off, but l’d change that around, just slightly, to make more sense:
Young women, supporting Sanders, are just searching for a cranky, agitated, old-beyond-his-years, out-of-control grandpa figure, who incessantly spits and flails his hands, as he regurgitates some tired Bolshevik proclamations and mindlessly repeats the same sh@t about banks, Wall Street, income inequality and free college tuition. Oh, yeah, and don’t forget the part about the REVOLUTION.
Now, that would’ve made far more sense.
Coming from the mouths of two venerated role models for strong, independent, liberated women, these insults to the women of the millennial generation — and to all informed, feminist women — are doubly insulting. I had to reread their comments several times to believe they’d actually uttered them. To discover in my 68th year that Gloria is capable of the same sexism she’d denounced for her entire public life is more than a profound disappointment to me. I took my daughter to hear her speak when she was in high school because she exemplified qualities I had always admired. These comments feel like a betrayal. And Madeleine…well, all I can say is, after I vote for Bernie, I’ll see you in
Hell.
I look forward to fools like Albright and Steinem lecturing women even more about how they are obligated to vote for Hillary.
Sanders could not buy better ads about the patronizing, entitled mindset of some Hillary supporters.
How can Steinem and Albright imagine they have the power to sway women to vote for Hillary by belittling them? They’ve lost their grip in more ways than one because it will now be impossible to take either of them seriously.
Simple – Bernie threatens the power structure – they are terrified of him – Clinton has bribed the bobble heads to support her (called campaign contributions so it is legal) – so they trot out the has been ones to cheer for the queen – it’s her turn – don’t you know??
Perhaps Ms Steinem is stuck in a time warp as in displacing the behaviors of young women in the days of her youth of 60 years ago, (She did mention to Bill Maher that she is 81.), on Millenials. I think a lot of young women today are feeling the the effects, along with their families, friends and their families, of the extreme times we all have been living in for the past 7.5 years, they’ve seen friends shot and killed, for heaven’s sake!… and they like Bernie Sanders’ message of throwing the tables over! They are concerned about jobs, education — and the ability to pay for it, #Black Lives Matter, single payer, or at least, affordable health care, global warming, and their very survival, what kind of future we are leaving them! The same things that I am concerned about for them, and my own children and grandchildren, and our planet! I LIKE Bernie’s message very much, but Hillary has far out-surpassed him and all the other candidates, by becoming an understudy of Elizabeth Warren, and has started, way before anyone’s campaign began, by traveling in her bus all around the country, talking with people, and LISTENING to them about their concerns and fears and needs! She agrees with Bernie on almost all of the same principles, but I believe she has the skills that can work both sides of the aisle, where I feel Bernie’s way of conveying his messages will face the same obstruction as President Obama…and to quote her, “A Progressive is a person who makes progress, and gets things done!” and she also said, “I will not make a promise on anything I do not think I can deliver!”. I actually think Bernie could be a good VP to her Presidency, and they would make an excellent team to accomplish all those shared values! Now, Madeline Albright, I’m so surprised to hear her make a public statement like that! I don’t know where she’s coming from, but her statement is totally out of line! Another behavioral time-warp from the cold war 50’s or 60’s? I don’t know, but in my opinion, these two famous women are pretty out of touch with the pulse of America and young women and men of today!
All of those women are mainly concerned about THEIR own careers and advancement, not the good of the people of the USA. Thus they look upon the rest of us as tools to be used for their benefit.
Mz. Steinem,
If women are going to work outside the home, who is going to bear and nurture babies?
What’s the future of a nation with a declining birthrate?
Has Mz. Steinem promoted women’s “rights” or national suicide?

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
The percentage of Americans in the U.S. population has reached an all-time low: 63%. That is 197.7 million Americans out of 313.9 million including foreigners.
In 2000, Americans were 69% of the population. In 1980, they made up 80%. But now American deaths outpace American births by 12,419, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
“This is the first time there has ever been an American population decrease in the U.S.,” demographer Kenneth Johnson told Bloomberg.
Aaaah yes.
Hey Ms Steinem where were you when Billy was using his cigar?
Where were you and your ilk when the guys were castigating the man of power with an intern?
I have long admired Gloria Steinem. However, her observations regarding young women who support Sen. Sanders are insulting and absurd.
Camille Paglia pegged Steinem and her ilk 30 years ago.
This feminist is 68 years old, and I’ve followed Bernie Sanders for 30 years (I lived in NY and NH for 28 years). I would not have believed Steinem said this if I hadn’t viewed the video. The polls may say that older women support Clinton, but in my circles of women over 60, we are running 80% for Sanders. I was an elected official in upstate NY, and I spent a fair amount of time in Albany and Washington, DC; therefore, I’m no stranger to the obstacles female politicians experience. I’m also no stranger to the Clintons and their ties.
Clinton is drowning and these washed up, tired, old, feminists are showing once again, they will eat crap for the Clinton’s. They ate crap for Bill the rapist in the 90’s and they’re eating crap for Hillary. Yesterday Hillary did a round of interviews w/ 5 sycophant, Dem women Senators in the background. I LMAO when my bride remarked, “It looks like Bobblehead Night” as the old lady Senators nodded their heads to everything Hillary said. Hillary is sweating more than James Brown doing Sex Machine. I’m loving it.
I find these comments by Steinam and Albright offensive and wrong headed. It’s a shame because these a two women for whom I have a lot of respect. They have diminished in my eyes. Their comments were sexist and demeaning to women.
