When you are at the top of your class, you can cop an attitude and shake ’em down.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Annette Novey knows how to strut her stuff, and score “Best Academic” of her crew at a recent WSP Academy graduation.
While the Patrol is known for its clean-cut, military style discipline, Trooper Novey can bust a move and a perp.

How delightful to find a cop with a sense of humor.
I’ve known a number of WSP Troopers over the years…..based on my experiences, I’ve found them to be first rate officers.
The quality of city and county departments can vary a lot from one jurisdiction to the next, but at the WA. State level they seem to have pretty high, consistent standards.
Reminds me of when I was helping out at the recruit training for New Mexico Game & Fish during some of off time. A couple NM Highway Patrol ladies were also on hand with their NM HP husbands. They were undercover agents and all could have been Playmates. I thought just a tad bit unfair…lol. We were practicing night stops and those ladies turned those poor recruits inside out. The rest of us were in tears from laughing so hard. I enjoyed working with them, back in those days we had mostly good cops, unlike today’s well publicized crop.
Good for her!!! I was 2nd in my class and I missed only one question but the guy ahead of me got a perfect score on the state exam. It was tough but worth the accomplishment and I’m with her all the way. We’ve come a long long way baby!
