There is a disturbing case out of Snaresbrook Crown Court in England where an Islamic studies tutor raped his 14-year-old pupil and left her pregnant. Mohammed Islam, 31, reportedly started molesting the schoolgirl in 2010 when she was just nine while teaching her the Koran. He has been sentenced to 19 years.
The girl said that the religious position of the teacher left her without a way out of the abuse. For his part, Mohammad Islam said that the nine year old initiated the sex. He only admitted to the rape when the girl decided that she would testify against him. She also delayed an abortion so that tests could show that Islam was the father.
What is a bit chilling is the statement of the father who offered a victim impact statement that “In our religion she is no longer considered a virgin and is therefore unable or unlikely to get married to have a family.” That would seriously make me reconsider the sect within a religion that I am following.
Islam admitted to rape, four counts of sexually assaulting a child and two of sexual activity with a child.
The 19 year sentence may seem a bit low to some but it is on the high end for England where sentences tend to be lower generally. Notably, however, a Christian priest this week with the Salvation Army in India was given 40 years for raping a 12-year-old in church over the course of two months.

How would you know the statistics regarding rape of children in societies that condone such behavior? We’re talking about societies that murder the victims of said rape. Who would report these crimes, knowing that her life is on the line? You think Muslim societies document this stuff? What is there to document when the behavior is condoned and encouraged by Mohammed? You still miss an important and crucial point–any priests, who committed crimes, did so outside of the scope of Christian doctrine. Those who granted them passes also did so outside of the scope of that doctrine. No one could argue any sort of religious justification for their criminal behavior. Muslims, on the other hand, routinely point to their religious texts to explain, condone and excuse their barbaric behavior. If you don’t see a distinction, you should.

Maybe. But I just don’t see a big difference. You got all kind of Muslim nations where the 9 year old girls aren’t being universally raped. Most of the Muslims must be ignoring the Koran on this point. I don’t think there is a lot of this crap here in the U.S. yet. England OTOH seems to have been ignoring stuff like this, and IMHO the cops ought to get medieval on the molesters.
I do agree with you that there is a ridiculous blurring of distinctions when somebody compares the Inquisition or the Crusades to what ISIL is doing, but the Catholic priest molestation stuff isn’t 500-1000 years ago. That stuff is very recent. Sooo, I think the Vatican is fair game on this particular point.

So, you want to compare this episode that in which some Catholic priests participated? Fine. Now, as part of that comparison, provide religious justification for child rape, or rape, in general, found in the Old or New Testament, where rape is encouraged or condoned as acceptable behavior. Islamic texts, on the other hand, condone and promote such behavior as commanded by Mohammed. You seem to miss that small distinction in your effort to paint all religions with the same brush. You must be having an off-day.

You make perfect sense. Western society allows the Vatican to ‘take care of this scum’. You know, change their jobs cuz a change is as good as a vacation and it is stressfull being a pedophile, being around kids all day, and having that direct link to god, all at the same time. So, don’t be so hard on Fada O’Leary but imprison the Muslims. How about go in past the Swiss Guards and round up all the pedophiles and put them two to a cell, one Catholic pedophile and one Muslim pedophile. I would have to be filmed.
I ain’t real fond of Muslims in the first place because of their rank anti-semitism and the fact that way too many of them think it OK to blow yourself up around innocent people. But that being said, did this dude do anything that lots of gay Catholic priests didn’t do??? Sooo, while I think the SOB ought to hung or lethally injected or electrocuted, that’s because he’s a child molester, not because he’s a Muslim child molester.

I could readily comment on this story, but all of the commenters above (and I do mean all) pretty much capture most of my thoughts. Civilization embraces Islam [the cult, not just the person] at its own peril.
Mohammed’s third and youngest wife, Aisha, was six years old when he married her and nine years old when he, purportedly, first had sex with her. This man is doing nothing more than following his holy prophet, who could do no wrong. How dare you be so culturally insensitive? Don’t be surprised to read that the father of the victim, or one of the male members of the inbred tribe, ultimately resorts to murdering this young girl in an effort to cleanse the family of the dishonor which she has wrought, even though she was a victim. Rational thought has no place in Islam. The prediction is, unfortunately,not farfetched. It happens all of the time to victims of sexual crimes in Muslim countries. What we fail to comprehend and acknowledge is that this young girl is in grave danger as long as she is allowed, or forced, to remain with these animals. The government should remove her, change her name and place her with another non-Muslim family, where her life will no longer be endangered by these savages.

By Islamic law the teacher committed no crime at all. If this event had happened in an ‘Arab’ country he would have gotten in no trouble and the girl would have been executed.

First we need some one to stop the bleeding after we cut off his… Then when he is healed, off to the slammer to get slammed for a minimum of thirty years with no parole and no vaseline. There are some crimes that merit a punishment that fits them and not the standard redemption oriented approach. Here we need deterrence.
Corporal punishment is in order. So think about what body parts can be cut off of the Islam perp. Blinding him would be good. Then he will be punished in a manner that prevents him from reading the Koran. So when his parts are cut off then the fellow inmates can sing a ditty: Free at last! Free at last! Thank Mohammed Almighty, I am free at last!
Unfortunately for the girl, Islam is far more than a religion. It’s not like being a Methodist or Catholic where you can just switch faiths. It is an all-encompassing ideology of religion, culture, language and politics, completely entwined with ethnicity.
