Ismail Berdiyev, a leading mufti from Russia’s North Caucasus region, has called for the universal use of clitoridectomy, or female genital mutilation, for “all women to reduce lechery” and “sexuality.” The shocking and disgusting proclamation by Berdiyev is magnified by the the supportive public statement by a senior priest in the Russian Orthodox Church, Vsevolod Chaplin, who wrote on Facebook: “My sympathies for the mufti. I hope he doesn’t retreat from his position because of the howls and hysterics which will start now.”
Berdiyev insisted that FGM is the only moral course for women and that “All women should be cut, so that there is no depravity on Earth.” He explained that “It is necessary to reduce a woman’s sexuality, and it would be good if this [FGM] were done to all women. God created women so that they can have children and bring them up. This [FGM] has nothing to do with that; women do not stop giving birth after having this done.”
Of course, FGM is widely viewed as a criminal act of abuse — an act that has been performed on some 200 million women and girls. It is condemned by the United Nations and doctors worldwide as harmful and discriminatory.
When international groups and leading advocates denounced Berdiyev, the Mufti insisted that it was a “joke.” Not to suggest that a religious figure would ever knowingly lie, but reading the comments above would not seem a joke in any language. It is a detailed advocacy for FGM, which is notoriously common in that area.
As for Chaplin, he certainly did not take it as a joke and defended the Mufti’s support for “his time-honored traditions, recognized by the majority of women living under this tradition.” Chaplin then added that “feminism is a 20th century lie.” However, he also noted that the reason FGM is not required for Christian women is that “they are not debauched anyway.”
Watching a good miniseries on HBO, The Night Of. It’s a murder mystery w/ a young Pakistani Muslim being charged w/ murder of a young, wealthy, white woman. Pretty good. It’s an 8 part series and the final episode is next Sunday. There are a couple actors from The Wire in it. Omar[one of my favorite characters of all time] and Bode play supporting roles.

I can think of one way to do away with lechery but I’m much of a humanist to say. Imagine though for a minute if the religious leaders in this world were woman. I wonder what they would recommend be cut?

Ugh! I was gonna an art project some years ago about plastic surgery – went to the flea market and bought used barbie dolls but it was so depressing I gave it up.

Dr. Rand Paul has been pointing this out for years.He has been pointing this out about the who the Clintons have taken money from for the last eight years. He has been one of the biggest defenders of women. Rest assured he will take action.
Outside of Dr. Paul, I am petrified that this will set real second wave feminism back to the dark ages. This ideology is incompatible with a liberal Western society. According to a friend of mine who lived grew up in Turkey, graduated from university in the 1970s and wore mini skirts in Turkey, they have not regressed 50 years or even 100. They have regressed 300 years.

Well given how Maricopa County has cut out polling places as we saw during the Demoncratic primaries I guess they have already rigged the vote given that McCain is pro TPP (as is Jeff Flake).

Autumn – Maricopa County works on historical data to predict its needs. Usually the primary is much lighter then the general. However, the County said they will have more than enough place to vote. I vote by mail.

Autumn – depends on who you follow on how well McCain is doing. One poll says he is way ahead in his primary race, another says he is tied. If he wins the primary he will have the worst general he has ever had. He has be censored by the Maricopa County Republicans for only being a Republican when he is up for election. Sooo, of course I snuck a look, and there were several different types of eunuchs, and numerous ways to make them. And even without the hanging fruit, some of them could still perform.

Well, I think if we are all going gaga for Muslim immigrants, we should accept their cultural practices. Because is it really multiculturalism if we make foreigners confirm to our middle class white mores??? I swear, but I think some liberal’s idea of multiculturalism is just like, “Oh Boy!
