United Nations Votes Overwhelmingly To Condemn Trump’s Announced Embassy Move To Jerusalem

170px-Emblem_of_the_United_Nations.svgDespite the threat that the Administration was “taking names” of any country that voted to condemn the move of the United States embassy to Jerusalem, Some 128 countries voted to do so.  Only nine voted “no” with another 35 countries abstaining, including Mexico and Canada.  Our allies of France and England joined in voting for the resolution.  The nine negative votes came from US, Israel, Guatemala, Honduras, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and Togo.

Screen-Shot-2017-12-21-at-7.38.24-PM-e1513878910566-640x400US Ambassador Nikki Haley issued a direct threat against what is the vast majority of the United Nations:  “The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out for attack in this assembly . . . We will remember it when we are called upon to once again make the world’s largest contribution” to the United Nations.  Haley also suggested that the vote would be considered in whether the United States is asked “to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit.”
Putting aside the merits of the controversy, it strikes me as a problematic argument to advance that we pay into the United Nations so long as they vote the way that we dictate.  It belittles not just the institution but our allies.
Here is the resolution:

The General Assembly,

Reaffirming its relevant resolutions, including resolution A/RES/72/15 of 30 November 2017 on Jerusalem.

Reaffirming the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, including resolutions 242 (1967), 252 (1968), 267 (1969), 298 (1971), 338 (1973), 446 (1979), 465 (1980), 476 (1980), 478 (1980), and 2334 (2016),

Guided by the purpose and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, and reaffirming inter alia, the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by force,

Bearing in mind the specific status of the Holy City of Jerusalem and, in particular, the need for the protection and preservation of the unique spiritual, religious and cultural dimensions of the City, as foreseen in the relevant United Nations resolutions,

Stressing that Jerusalem is a final status issue to be resolved through negotiations in line with relevant United Nations resolutions,

Expressing in this regard its deep regret at recent decisions concerning the status of Jerusalem,

Affirms that any decisions and actions which purport to have altered, the character, status or demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal effect, are null and void and must be rescinded in compliance with relevant resolutions of the Security Council, and in this regard, calls upon all States to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem, pursuant to resolution 478 (1980) of the Security Council;

Demands that all States comply with Security Council resolutions regarding the Holy City of Jerusalem, and not to recognize any actions or measures contrary to those resolutions;

Reiterates its call for the reversal of  the negative trends on the ground that are imperiling the two-State solution and for the intensification and acceleration of international and regional efforts and support aimed at achieving, without delay, a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East on the basis of the relevant United Nations resolutions, the Madrid terms of reference, including the principle of land for peace, the Arab Peace Initiative and the Quartet Roadmap and an end to the Israeli occupation that began in 1967;

Decides to adjourn the tenth emergency special session temporarily and to authorize the President of the General Assembly at its most recent session to resume its meeting upon request from Member States.

    1. Bernard, the fuse has been lit for 50 years and the rhetoric hasn’t changed. Those that want Israel driven off the map want it driven off the map whether or not Jerusalem is recognized as its capital. They want all Jews dead. What you are saying is that if Jerusalem becomes a reality the Jews will be killed twice instead of just once. It doesn’t make sense.

In fact, and this was vaguely touched on by Joseph Jones the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital probably makes peace more likely. It is a demonstration that Israel is here to stay and that recognition can lead in the direction of peace.

  1. I think we should all vote on which room in his house Turley can use for his master bedroom.

  2. Nikki is badass. I suspect we were three steps ahead with pulling aid – they, again, played right into our hands. Who knew this crap was THIS easy.

Oh and, JT, this is for you. Merry Christmas !

  3. The UN consists almost entirely of anti-Semitic nations. The mass murder of Jews in the 20th century was made possible by the anti-Semitic nations of Europe. Today, it’s not just Europe that is anti-Semitic, but you have masses of nations run by Leftists who favor the Islamic invasion, and its concurrent terrorism and crime, and are by their very nature anti-Semitic. The US stands pretty much alone in the world in defending the rights of Jews to exist.

Yes, I know, many Leftists here will argue that the vote is only about Israel. But that’s total BS. This vote is ALL about–and ONLY about–the Jews. Pat Condell makes that clear in his video below. The only thing I will add to his video is to note that’s he’s not a Jew and is an atheist, if that’s not already self-evident in his video.

    1. Ralph, thanks for this video. Some people like Autumn call it tentacles while others refer to it as a Jewish cabal, but the video has it right. They should go see a doctor.

Everyone should listen to the video several times. The threats that exist are against Americans as well.

I am posting a comment on the Mulsim Brotherhood Memorandum provided at the Holy Land Trial in the US to provide a more complete picture of what their own memorandum stated. A lot of phony history is paid for by those nations supporting Sharia Law.

“their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. ”

Having to live under Sharia Law is not a pleasant thing especially for women, gays, and anyone that is not Mulsim.

      1. Allan: re “Having to live under Sharia Law is not a pleasant thing especially for women, gays, and anyone that is not Mulsim”

Having our rights in our own damn country undermined by a foreign nation is also “not pleasant” Zionism is a wholly political construct – has nothing to do with the spirituality of Judaism

“The ultimate objective of the Israel Lobby is to follow the example in some European countries, where criticism of Israel is equated to anti-Semitism and is therefore categorized as a hate crime, with both civil and criminal penalties attached.”

“It is possible to foresee a future in which students will be free to criticize the United States on campus while discussing the foreign state of Israel with any candor will be forbidden.”

A Good Year for Israel and Its Friends: A bad year for the U.S. Constitution

        1. There is no arguing with Autumn. Facts and logic mean nothing to her. She abhors them. Autumn has been programmed to hate Jews just like this little Muslim child.

          1. “Facts and logic mean nothing to her. ”

You are probably right. I was considering taking the points of her/his website citation apart, but have noted that when any facts are presented Autumn avoids them demonstrating her/his falling leaves are soon to be ground into the mud.

        2. “A Good Year for Israel and Its Friends: A bad year for the U.S. Constitution”

It’s a good year for the US that has demonstrated it recognizes anti-Semitism and has demonstrated the will to live free in a world filled with your friends that will blow up school buses and stone women to death.

“Zionism is a wholly political construct – has nothing to do with the spirituality of Judaism”

A lot of anti-Semites say just that and then they claim a Jewish cabal running the world or grasping the world in their tentacles. Hmmm, wasn’t it you, Autumn, that chose the word tentacles? Very revealing.

I believe this country should be independent of all other nations including Israel, but if we to find friends we should look towards democracies or nations that treat people of all races, religions, sexes etc. with respect and equality. It seems your criteria doesn’t meet those terms.

  4. Chairman Alvin Not Afraid, Jr. of the Crow Indian Nation made a comment:

Statement by Chairman Alvin “A.J” Not Afraid, Jr. Regarding Recognition of Israel’s Rightful Capital

“I am pleased by yesterday’s news that President Trump has fulfilled his promise to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital. He is keeping faith with Americans and Israelis alike, who have spent decades supporting this just and fair commitment. On behalf of the Crow Nation, I am honored to join the President in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital.

The Crow people know what it means to work for peace. We understand what it means to yearn for recognition by the world that traditional homelands are important to the people who belong to them. In that way, we share a common bond with the Jewish people and the citizens of Israel. May their new capital find peace, joy and good medicine.”

  5. Trump, via Haley, his surrogate, tried to bully the rest of the world. The rest of the world wasn’t having it. The response from the crotch grabber makes clear that he thinks he can purchase whatever he wants.

I still don’t know why the US should intentionally piss off the Muslim world by siding with Israel as to who has the greater claim to Jerusalem. Why is this any of the US’s business? All this has done is cause unrest and the potential for more terrorist attacks. Why?

    1. R-educaton opportunity for you at Ralph Adamo 3:57 pm post, Natacha.

    2. Natacha:

“I still don’t know why the US should intentionally piss off the Muslim world by siding with Israel as to who has the greater claim to Jerusalem. Why is this any of the US’s business? All this has done is cause unrest and the potential for more terrorist attacks. Why?”

      ***************************
You could have asked Congress that in 1995 when it became US policy. Or you could ask Israel which remains the only democracy in the region willing to go to bat for our interests and hold the Muslim horde at bay. But the real answer to your question is simple. It is because we are the lone superpower and we can act in what we perceive to be our interests. Humans are a hierarchical species and we submit to the stronger power expecting protection and order. When the lesser power revolts it’d best win the argument or it will deserve and receive neither protection nor order. That is what the UN risks. Let’s see if we have the guts to call them on it and cut our contribution and evict those anti-semantic diplomats from their posh New York den. Then we can cut foreign aid and reduce military forces. I’d start with South Korea and then Japan. Let’s see where their conviction ends and their interest in self-defense begins.

  6. Only nations that sided with US & Israel: Guatemala, Honduras, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, and Togo.

Our neighbors, Canada & Mexico abstained

ha ha ha Nikki Haley. Guess she’ll continue ginning up bs about Iran….

    1. “Autumn” and all of the anti-Semites of the world cover their anti-Semitism by describing themselves as anti-Zionist. Sorry to disappoint you folks, but just as the Vatican is the center of Catholicism, Jerusalem and Israel are the center of Judaism. Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people for thousands of years. All of the anti-Semites of the world can jump up and down and scream until they are blue in the face, but Jerusalem is still the capital of Israel, and it will remain so longer than the anti-Semites will be on this Earth.

      1. We understand that this is YOUR perspective, but YOUR perspective isn’t binding on the Muslim world or on the US. Palestinians and Muslims also have claim to the region. Acknowledging their claim does not amount to anti-Semitism, nor would refusing to cave to Israel’s demand that the US move its embassy to Jerusalem.

  7. When the old strategy for middle east peace doesn’t work, and hasn’t worked for decades, why not change strategy? — or put another way, what rational basis is there to stick with the strategy that’s proven not to work?
Trump opponents seem to not notice (or pretend to not notice) that one of Trump’s strategies for resolving long-festering problems is to stake out a controversial position on an issue. That brings the issue back to the forefront, which is the first step to ultimate resolution.
He did the same thing with the NATO controversy — made seemingly radical statements about pulling out or NATO or charging it with being outmoded. Trump’s detractors went absolutely nuts, railing against Trump in the media for weeks. In the end, the long-festering problems were addressed and resolved and now everyone is happy, and most forget that the controversy even happened.
It’s more than a little foolish to get excited about what is largely as symbolic position — but that’s what Trump’s detractors do best.
Clearly the old approaches to dealing with this issue were fruitless, yet people are outraged (the usual FAKE outrage) when Trump tries a different approach.

  8. “Putting aside the merits of the controversy, it strikes me as a problematic argument to advance that we pay into the United Nations so long as they vote the way that we dictate.”

That is absurd. The merits cannot be put aside on this or any other UN action. Suppose the UN General Assembly had voted to condemn America for not giving Obama a third term as President or something else equally absurd. Should that be ignored and should American sit calmly by without complaint?

    1. Thank you, Dan. The whole idea of the UN is for nations to sway influence over other nations. Every nation uses DIME for this power influence. Economic is perfectly viable.
Sometimes I wonder what the heck JT is thinking.

    2. Your analogy is ridiculous. Muslims claim Jerusalem as a center for their religion. So do Jews. The US, as the most powerful nation on earth decided, for no good reason, to side with Israel and move its embassy to Jerusalem, which is a slap in the face to Muslims. There will be a price to pay. All other nations have their embassies in Tel Aviv. Why move the US Embassy? The rest of the world condemns America’s snub to Muslims. They are right to do so. They can’t all be wrong.

      1. Nastyahoo told Jared to tell Trump. Unfortunately Trump listens to him. Removing Javanka from the WH would go a long way with his supporters Also Bannon backed this

      2. How many “centers” of the Islam faith are there? That seems a rather convenient argument for staking land claims. Wouldn’t it be more correct to say they are regional provinces of Islam faith? There can only be one center, after all.

      3. “Why move the US Embassy?”

Because it is the capitol of Israel. And, because we can.

      4. Natacha, The Muslim center of religion is Mecca. Their claim to Jerusalem is a meaningless afterthought. However, they also claim that whatever they have occupied in the past is theirs for eternity. Read the Quran. Read the Muslim Brotherhood Memorandum and their plans to dismantle the west. Learn about Wahabbism and Salafism. Look at the killings in Syria and all over the Middle East that dwarf the killings in Israel (of Jews and Palestinians) into insignificance.

Look at your history. Look at the Gates of Vienna and Sobieski. Look at Charles Martel. Spend a bit more time delving into a history book than spewing your nonsense.

  9. I look forward to the apparent never coming day when some US pol and/or bureaucrat utters the word “Israel” and no American citizen cares or knows what it is. One good trait of millennials is that they tend to care less about Israel than do older citizens. Millennials are exposed less and less to the constant Protestant indoctrination to murder enemies of Israel, per the Zionist-Protestant interpretation of this OT verse: “I shall bless those who bless thee, and curse those who curse thee.”

    1. Joseph Jones, Since Israel created the patents on so many inventions that you need to promote your mouth means that you will always be tied to Israel. In fact, next time you are lost travelling somewhere and use Google maps remember the patent came from Israel.

The news media has been quite unfair to Israel so many others wish that the focus would be less. However, terrorism seems to come from the countries around Israel and many people don’t want peace. Without anything in return, Israel provide Gaza to the Palestinians with its infrastructure fully intact. What they got in return was Palestinian destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure and almost daily rockets from Gaza in an attempt to kill Israeli’s. The Palestinians are taught hate against Israel and America from the day they enter school.

      1. My position is maybe too simple for Zionists like you to understand. I don’t care about Israel good or bad. I want the rest of my fellow American citizens to feel likewise.

A war to the death between Israel and it’s alleged enemies would likely improve conditions v. the current situation of a constant threat/promise of war. That’s fine. I just don’t want the USA to profit from providing weapons to either side.

There are plenty of US citizens who profit from the constant promise/threat of war, including persons who’s homes I have visited and who attend church regularly. Such persons on the one hand preach about the Prince of Peace, while diligently designing, maintaining, and building weapons of mass destruction. I find this completely unacceptable and pure unadulterated lies and hypocrisy.

In the first millennia, St. Thomas of Aquinas penned his Catholic “Just War Theory,” a modern Church edifice. The theory goes that war is blessed when there is “no other option.” Unfortunately for Church dogma, Thomas forgot to define exact conditions wherein the Church outlaws surrender. Surrender never being forbidden, then it is always an option, which flushes the Just War Theory right down the toilet.

A being who claims an eternal “heavenly reward” with Jesus has no use for his fleshly body on earth. Christians constantly claim such doctrine, except when it comes to actually die and/or surrender to an enemy for it, then they grab a gun and kill their enemy, claiming some ridiculous Biblical God given right to such actions, which of course such rights don’t exist in the Bible.

The NT requires surrender and forbids harming others, no matter what anyone else says otherwise.

        1. Joseph Jones – that is why I like being agnostic, I do not have those ethical considerations. I can kill to defend myself and others with impunity. 😉

        2. “I don’t care about Israel good or bad.”

Joseph, That is fine. For you Israel need not exist, but when they are attacked and on their way to Damascus don’t let the US government stop them from getting there. Recognize that the US government, not the people, has been far more favorable to the Arab nations that surround Israel than to Israel.

          “A war to the death”

This statement by itself has little to do with Israel. It holds a truth. The Peloponnesian Wars, the Punic Wars and World War 1 and World War 2 are three examples of wars that did not end until there was a complete victory. Nothing wrong with such an opinion. Israel has been prevented from complete victory multiple times. In fact world opinion, anti-Semitic opinion, sees little wrong from daily missile attacks against Israel by the Palestinians, but a lot wrong with Israel returning fire. That is what keeps this war going on and on. Europe supports the Palestinian war machine with money and emotional support. That is what keeps this war going on and on. Israel gave up control of the Gaza without anything in return and since then has been bombed from Gaza with tunnels being built under the border so raids can be performed killing Israelis.

“plenty of US citizens who profit from the constant promise/threat of war,”

That too is true and if weren’t for those that fed the idea of Israel being wiped off the map Israel and all its neighbors could live in peace. Jewish presence on those lands has been for thousands of years and the state of Israel is just a sliver of land without oil in the ground. From the desert and the sea, Israelis and that includes Christians and Arabs have made the land prosper. Agriculture in the desert, hi-tech wherever an Israeli exists and even water produced in a desert country at the lowest price in the world in such quantities that water is shipped to Jordon.

I won’t delve into your religious arguments unless specifically anti-Jew which I don’t think is the case.

“My position is maybe too simple for Zionists like you to understand.”

Now that you have read some of my responses perhaps you would like to detail those things that are too simple for a Zionist to understand. I exclude myself because I may not fit into your personal definition of Zionism. I welcome your comments.

      2. >”terrorism seems to come from the countries around Israel”
What a mystery, what a surprise! And quite a bit from inside itself also.
I’d be pissed too if someone stole my land.

        1. Acromion, I couldn’t tell who you felt stole from whom and what was stolen. The Jews have lived in the Middle East for thousands of years long before Mohammed. A bit of history is provided elsewhere. Remember the Jews living outside of Israel were killed or expelled without their possessions from the surrounding Arab nations. The ‘Palestinians’ that left Israel were not killed and left voluntarily because they followed the call of their leadership. When one looks at the numbers of “Palestinians” and the number of Jews that left their homes they find the numbers about equal. The question now arises who displaced whom?

The Middle East is 3,500,000 square miles. Israel is 8,020 square miles and most of it is desert.

    2. “One good trait of millennials is that they tend to care less about Israel than do older citizens.”

One problem with that statement is that the fact that they “care less about Israel” is actually just a manifestation that they are supremely ignorant and self-centered, and care less about almost everything but themselves.

      1. I agree they are supremely ignorant. But they care less about Israel because they spend less time in Protestant Church being lied to by lying Zionist “preachers” wedded to Israel for financial and other paybacks.

Zionist takeover of Protestantism started in the late 19th C when the then-Zionist controlled Oxford Press published the first study Bible, the “Scofield Reference Bible,” allegedly authored by then-unpublished convicted criminal Scofield, when Oxford had a policy to publish only prior-published authors. Scofield was not a very literate person, was a convicted fraud, and abandoned his child and wife. Handsomely paid by Oxford well above his position to start one of the biggest religious and political frauds/scams in all history, claiming modern Jews descended from Abraham, and requiring (not optional) Protestants to murder enemies of Israel, which myth continues to this day stronger than ever.

If you deny your required oath to Israel in any SBC/Southern Baptist Convention church, I suggest you would be promptly shown the door and told not to return.

    3. Me too JJ!

Cut off AIPAC tentacles and insane amount of $$$$ taxpayer monies diverted to Israel.

According to Pew “White evangelicals are twice as likely (82%) as US Jews (40%) to believe God gave Israel to the Jewish people”

      http://ifamericaknew.org/

      1. Autumn, AIPAC is an independent organization. It has no control over the United States government. The aid provided to Israel is less than the aid to the surrounding nations of Israel that have attacked Israel multiple times. Most Israeli aid is spent on American military equipment which the Israeli’s use and improve providing the US with better equipment and intelligence. I can understand one that says stop ALL foreign aid, but you seem to have a special aversion towards Israel that seems to border on anti-Semitism or pure ignorance. (The word “tentacles” above indicates an anti-Semitic component to what you say as that is a word anti-Semites have used when complaining that Jews control the world.)

Our State Department has generally leaned towards favoring the Arab nations mostly because of oil. Israel is a democracy where all citizens have the same rights. You seem to prefer the dictatorships where there is no freedom to anyone including woman, gays, Christians etc whose murders are frequently condoned and celebrated. The reason Israel is looked upon favorably by many is that

it survived despite repetitive attacks from multiple surrounding nations at the same time and the fact that it is a democracy while the others are mostly heinous dictatorships where many of the people are brought up to hate the United States as well as Israel.

The Arab states have tried to make the Middle East Judenfrei through murder and expulsion without the ability to take one’s possessions. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was closely linked with Hitler. That is why except for Israel there are almost no Jews anywhere else in the Middle East. I am sure you conveniently forget these details.

Your citation comes from a virulent anti-Israeli group that attempts to act as if it isn’t anti-Semitic and whose site is riddled with inaccuracies. Yes, a lot of Palestinians get killed when they attack school children and when they knowing launch their missiles from schools and hospitals leaving their women and children vulnerable to attack while the perpetrators sneak off to safety. For the most part, Israel attempts to avoid killing people probably more than any other military in the world but has little choice but to protect itself.

Next 9/11 go ahead Autumn and blame it on the Jews. That seems to be the type of research you do on this subject.

  10. Israel is a recognized sovereign nation and no one has a right to dictate where that nation’s capital resides or where another sovereign nation places its embassy.

This recognition by Trump does more for peace between Israel and its neighbors than all the talk of former administrations that recognized Jerusulem. Take note that a lot of criticism coming from the Middle East is just talk because deep down they recognize Jerusulem as the capital of Israel.

The UN is a racist organization whose human rights commission has consisted of nations with the worst human rights records in the world.

Turely recognize that the end of war comes with a victory and not the negotiations of third party nations. Look at the Peloponesian Wars, the Punic Wars and the two World Wars. All of those wars were continuations of one another until recognition of absolute victory was obtained.

    1. Between the current constant threat/promise of war and Israel actually warring to the end against its enemies to declare a winner, I suspect the latter yields better long term results for the world and its inhabitants. The threat of war started when The League of Nations, the US and the UK planted Israel against the rest of the world’s wishes. If only the US did not supply weapons to both sides for the promised war…

13 million kids hungry in America while America recently pledged $50B to Israel over the next decade, one of the richest nations extant and one of sum total zero national interest to the US. Unless your version of national interest includes giving Israel money to buy the most costly and high tech US made military weaponry. https://www.nokidhungry.org/problem/hunger-facts

Ever wonder why the MIC designs and manufactures military gear in all 50 States? Notice that no other OEM on earth spreads manufacturing across such wide geography. Gee, I wonder why, Congresscritters?

Ever wonder why the only item on Newt Gingrich’s “Contract With America” Newt failed to deliver was term limits?

      1. “The threat of war started when The League of Nations, the US, and the UK planted Israel against the rest of the world’s wishes. ”

Joseph, I would understand your position if only your history was correct. Unfortunately, history has been perverted by those like Autumn and the sites he depends upon for his history. One can look up the primary sources of the actual history at the time of the Balfour Declaration. I don’t hold it against you for getting the history wrong.

I will repeat what I wrote to Autumn, though I don’t think he cares about the truth based upon some of his comments that are in common with anti-Semites. Remember Jews have lived in the Middle East, Israel in particular, for thousands of years, long before Mohammed. It is a strip of mostly desert with almost indefensible borders. I think the green line is 9 miles wide in the area of greatest population depth.

“A bit of history on the Balfour Declaration of 1917. It did not cause the conflict between the Palestinians and the Israeli’s. The League of Nations endorsed the Balfour Declaration. This endorsement was similar to the Ottoman Empire’s communications on the subject and it was accepted by Palestinians and Arab leaders who felt coexistence was beneficial to all. Extremists on the Arab side, unfortunately, gained power. During WW2. Jerusalem’s Mufti Hajj Amin Husseini allied himself with Hitler and was very encouraged by Hitler’s war against the Jews and the extermination of half their population.”

I am going to separately repost exactly what I previously wrote to Autumn. Thank you for listening.

        1. Autumn, is what you are saying that it is OK to have a country in the Middle East where Jews are forbidden, but it is not OK to have the State of Israel that is a democracy where Jews, Christians, and Moslems can live at peace together? Do you realize that the Arab citizens of Israel have complete rights and are represented in the Knesset and on Israel’s Supreme Court? Are you saying that it was OK that Jews were killed and forcibly evicted from Arab lands being forced to leave all their possessions behind? You realize of course the Arabs that left Israel did so on their own accord and were not being killed. Those that remained are now citizens and even serve in the Israeli army. A forgotten fact is that the number of Jews forcibly expelled from Arab lands was equivalent to the number of Palestinians that left on their own accord. There is no Jewish right of return to the Arab lands they were forced to leave under the threat of death.

A bit of history on the Balfour Declaration of 1917. During WW2. Jerusalem’s Mufti Hajj Amin Husseini allied himself with Hitler and was very encouraged by Hitler’s war against the Jews and the extermination of half their population.

Don’t forget Jews have continuously lived in Israel over 2,000 years before Mohammed was born. Also, don’t forget that all too often anti-Zionism is a cloak for anti-Semitism because the objective is that the Jewish people in Israel be driven into the sea. Finally (re your comment about some prominent Jews), remember that just because one is born a Jew doesn’t make what they say any more important than anyone else. A good number of prominent Jews supported Stalin and all the killings under Stalin. Their Jewishness took second place in that slaughter and so it is that some Jews will promote their leftist identities over their Jewishness along with any sense of decency.

      2. “13 million kids hungry in America while America recently pledged $50B to Israel over the next decade”

Joseph, I understand those that do not believe in foreign aid to anyone, but the US is giving foreign aid and military supplies to everyone in the area exceeding the amount provided to Israel. I don’t think it is $50 Billion over 10 years. I think it is $3.1 Billion which is $31 Billion over 10 years which is still a lot of money. However, the entire Arab World at one time or another has supported wiping Israel off the map and the US provided more money to them than it did to Israel. Add to that the amount of money spent by oil-rich nations like Saudi Arabia (potentially for some only in the past) to educate their youth teaching them to hate the US and Israel along with money to destroy Israel. Europe subsidizes the Palestinians so something like $10,000 can be given to the families whose child died blowing up an Israeli school bus or shopping mall. The amount of money Israel is given to defend itself is a piddling compared to the amount of money provided to those trying to destroy Israel through terrorism and war.

I understand a position of peace that is not just a one-sided position like we see from some commentators. However, recognize that today due to poor prior policy the Middle East is once again set for war, but this time Saudi Arabia and others along with Israel appear to have some type of alliance. The threat is Iran, its sponsorship of Terrorism (#1 in the world) and its nuclear weapons. The United States is presently allied against those illegal Iranian activities.

Again, Joseph, thank you for listening. I am sorry at the length, but a lot of history has been distorted and there are a lot of opinions on this subject that differ from one another and have some validity as long as the facts and history are accurate.

  11. Israel is not perfect. However, there is clearly a bias against Israel at the UN. Just look at the percentage of UN resolutions against Israel as opposed to any other country. Would any sane person say that Israel is more tyrannic then say, Syria, or Saudia Arabia or Rwanda or the Congo or etc etc etc. See link below for a summary of the historic bias.

  12. Sometimes these UN cry babies simply need a shave & haircut. Trump gives it to Vince McMahon.

  13. I hope this won’t delay Armageddon. I was looking forward to the armies of light and darkness fighting it out.

  14. When they say “two-state solution”, they really mean a three-state solution. The Balfour Declaration was intended as a two state solution for Transjordan from the beginning: Jordan and Israel. Now they want a third state and won’t call it so.

  15. The current US government seems to have little credibility either internationally or among its own citizens.

    1. Compared to other nations and the Obama administration the credibility of the US today is probably higher than anywhere else.

        1. I love statements that have no merit or proof. They are just plain dumb.

Why did you leave Canada for the US?

    2. Chris, those votes reflect the opinion of world leaders that Trump will soon be indicted and removed from office. They have drunk the kool-aid, too, and are hedging a bet.

    3. Haven’t you wondered why Obama continues to travel on “personal visits” to meet with key world leaders shortly after Trump has made an official state visit? Wake up, dude.

  16. Looking forward to the State Department asking next year’s money supplicants whether they have been naughty or nice.

Unfortunately the State Department is made up of liberal pu$$ies who will never ask.
