We are now seeing an increasing number of prosecutions for the selling for false vaccine cards as a huge number of reported fake cards flood the country. This week we also saw an arrest for the use of such cards at an airport. NBC Miami reported that Enzo and Daniela Dalmazzo were arrested when they tried to fly to Hawaii. What is notable about the case is why they were spotted.
As cities like New York enforce vaccine mandates, many of us have raised concerns over the logistics in using bars and restaurants as the gatekeepers for vaccine enforcement. There are reports of widely available false cards, including some being shipped from China. That is hardly surprising since the CDC card is a plain, easily reproduced design. There is little ability for anyone to tell a fake from a genuine copy.
The Dalmazzos were spotted because they produced such cards not just for themselves but their young child. The children are too young to have had vaccinations. Otherwise, they would presumably have been allowed to proceed into Hawaii, which requires proof of vaccination for travelers who want to avoid quarantine.
The couple now faces misdemeanor charges with the potential for a fine, year in prison or both. However, with millions of such cards floating around, it is doubtful that state and local officials could process the vast numbers of violators even if they could be detected. In addition, if real enforcement leads to hundreds of thousands of arrests, courts are likely to reflect the ubiquitous violations as reason to lower sentences.
Moreover, bars, restaurants, or movie theaters have little incentive or ability to challenge a card that otherwise appears genuine. That creates a problem if the much touted vaccine mandates are easily avoided. Those with fears of exposure will likely avoid such businesses if they cannot rely on the mandate. That in turn could lead to a greater percentage of customers who are part of the stealth unvaccinated population — further deterring the vaccinated from venturing out.
Another challenge for mandate jurisdictions are reports indicating that some 30 percent of new cases in cities like Los Angeles are among the vaccinated. That will challenge the pitch that this is a surge of the unvaccinated and could further frustrate efforts to convince non-vacs to get the shot. Even as a move from reasoned consent to induced consent to coerced consent, the non-vacs are still not moving to be vaccinated in significant numbers. Stories that variants like Lambda are vaccine resistant will further undermine such efforts.

The problem is with such an ineffective “vaccine” technically it’s really classified as a Biologic, is that we are applying selective pressure to the virus. In effect it is us that are driving mutation.
The nature of the virus is to mutate rapidly. All of those mutations would have occurred.
The vaccine mimics an infection, in order to produce immunity. Whether someone got the vaccine, or recovered from Covid, they would get immunity.
Out of all these mutations out there, the ones that slip past immunity, whether it’s naturally acquired or vaccine acquired, are the ones that will become more common, as the strains that are susceptible to immunity would get weeded out.
Neither the vaccine, nor naturally acquired immunity, is driving the mutations; however, immunity does select out the variants that escape our immune system.
So whether everyone gets vaccinated, or everyone gets the disease, the mutations that escape immunity are going to be the ones that persist. As we get immunity to those variants, then the next variant will become more common, and so on.
Both vaccine derived immunity and naturally acquired immunity lessen the severity of infection with subsequent variants, so there is that advantage.
This is why epidemiologists are urging us, now that we have a vaccine that at least lessens severity, to shift our focus to therapeutics.
These are all arrows in the quiver in the fight against Covid.
In reference to your other comment, this is both a vaccine and a biologic. It is a vaccine because it is a substance that stimulates immunity against a targeted disease. It is a biologic, because it is manufactured in living cells. The cells use RNA to produce the product, spike protein, (a biologic), which generates immunity (a vaccine).
By comparison, a drug is produced from a chemical process, and does not require any pass-through of living cells.
The governments in the US are not forcing anyone to get vaccinated unless they are employees or users of certain services, nor is that proposed. There is no Constitutional issue.

I can not see any benefit to these Rmna therapies that are mislabeled “vaccines”. When so so many have developed illness/complications after taking the blue jab… there is no way in heaven it is doing anything good to humanity. The vaccine uses RNA to generate spike protein. If the virus invaded your body, it would use your cells in the same process to produce entire viruses, which would explode the cells and disperse, spreading. The RNA only produces spike protein.
The spike protein is like binding-site-specific Velcro. Whether it’s floating freely or covering a virus, that spike protein will bind to ACE2 receptors, which are on all our major organs – heart, brain, respiratory system, etc. Your immune system recognizes it as an enemy, clears it away, and then gets filed away in our immune system library. This allows it to quickly be retrieved to recognize the enemy much faster next time, before it gets a foothold.
Your immune system clearing away either the spike protein by itself, or the entire virus, is inflammation, basically. If you were infected by the actual virus, your immune system might produce a cytokine storm, in which your immune system creates so much inflammation that you die.
With just the spike protein, your immune system still has to scrape it off your organs, or wherever it’s stuck to. Only, it’s not part of a rapidly replicating virus. Once the spike protein is gone, it’s gone.
I believe this is why there are more significant side effects for this vaccine than there are in your basic tetanus shot. You are still experiencing inflammation, only on a much smaller scale than if you had Covid itself. That inflammation causes side effects. Just like how some people’s immune system over reacts to Covid, some people’s immune system might over react to the vaccine. In general, an adverse event to any vaccine is usually because someone’s immune system over reacted.
If someone’s immune system reacted strongly to just the spike protein, how do you think they would have reacted to the whole virus?

While the vaccine was extremely effective against preventing the original Covid-19 infection, thereby also preventing its transmission, it is not very effective at preventing Delta infection, and thereby its transmission. What it can do is greatly lessen the severity of infection, so that’s a benefit. But it no longer can be viewed as effective against the spread.
Epidemiologists have been saying for months now that our focus needs to really be on therapeutics. The monoclonal antibody treatment, Regeneron, has had promising results.
In addition, there is this very interesting therapeutic out of Israel, in testing, which uses our own body’s defenses. It is of note that this drug worked on critically ill patients.

I am pro vaccine but I perceive a slippery slope with mandates. What is the next step? Biometric verification? Unless you can say “No”, without consequence, and reject C-19 vaccination for any reason whatsoever, consent means nothing. If an employer requires a C-19 vaccination, with the consequence of losing your job should you refuse, that is coercion.

Unless you can provide good evidence behind what you say, it sounds like garbage. No such direct study has been done that is representative of the total population. Some studies have been done in the past based on concentrations of supposed Republicans and Democrats. Those maps and markers used were compared to vaccination rates. There was no significant difference that could be ascertained in all those studies I have seen.

Yesterday the number was 98% unvaccinated, now its down to 90% But nobody has the facts to support the claim.
I have talked to nurses working the covid wards. they tell me 30% to 40% are fully vaxed.
Officials are not required to report the number, so the silence is very noticeable.

There are at least three statistical slight of shand in that short statement. I have limited my sample to people require hospitalizations. ICU, and death are both filters altering the number. Also the huge “in those states”
Also ignored are how many with natural immunity, and how many with co-morbidities?
For the entire Covid run, Iowa has over 6000 deaths, and just over 700 with no underlying issues. Govt policy makers have, and continue. to ignore the vulnerable. Instead treating the entire population as equal high risk targets. Iowa has zero deaths of healthy, under 18 year olds. Iowa also had dozens of schools across the state that went full time in person, with no masks, They had minor bumps in cases, and no school had to close. I’m with you on that both in the law professor’s comment and your point. In any case, a vax card proves compliance, not immunity. And there is nothing but observational data, no control groups, on the current wave of hospitalizations. People keep quoting data usually using MSM as sources instead of reading studies.
Suze, why don’t you visit some ICU’s and tell the docs that. They’ll be encouraged. I know docs working in these places. No room for new patients, elective procedures cancelled, and exhausted staff. They’re sick of it and we’re all sick of the babies who are afraid of a shot.

I feel no need to virutue signal, but the COVID Vaxxes are not vaccinations in the sense that the CDC, WHO, and even Merriam Webster defined them until the end of 2019. They have less than a year of safety data, and already have been associated globally with tens of thousands of deaths and millions of serious adverse events including lasting injury and disability. All of the vaxxes are deployed under Emergency Use Authorizations, that is are not yet approved by FDA, MHRA, or EMA. They are still inPhase 3 trials. This is the largest medical experiment in all of history.
Using fake vaccinations records is my view little more than civil disobediance and a reasonable and proportionate response to public policy that seeks to coerce citizens into medical experimentation on them and their children, a violation of the Nuremburg Code put in place in response to the Nazis. Iowa has declared Covid Endemic. There was NEVER any scenario where Covid was eliminated through vaccination. The focus should have ALWAYS been concentrated most all resources on the vulnerable and therapeutics, once the vaccine got up to speed. I am pro vaccination. although I still don’t understand why a person with natural immunity is no able to get such a certification.
Vaccination is not yet “up to speed.” In the US, that’s primarily due to the large % of people who are choosing not to be vaccinated. Globally, it’s because of a lack of a sufficient # of vaccines and healthcare workers to administer them.
Put them on a fake plane and land them in Cuba.
I will preface my remarks by stating that I am a strong advocate for the vaccine. I wanted very badly to get vaccinated and to have my wife get vaccinated and we both did so at the first opportunity. Having said that I do have an issue with someone like Bill DeBlasio mandating SOME businesses enforce a vaccine mandate while he allows actors, athletes and both of their their staffs as well as TEACHERS to not be vaccinated??? The Mayor calls this the law but I have yet to see the statute or the legislative history behind this “law”.
If we want to end these mandates I suggest we hoist the Democrats on their own petard by promulgating a new law that makes showing a vaccine passport as a prerequisite for voting. Yes Democrats, voting is a close-up proposition and some may feel unsafe not knowing if everyone in line is vaccinated and therefore no vaccine card-no vote. Presto…end of vaccine mandates.

Lots of people have partially informed opinions that they are convinced are absolutely right.
The only certainty is that many are wrong.
Bottom line, wash your hands, maintain a reasonable distance, minimize crowds, and live your life.

Glad to see these hardened criminals being prosecuted and sent to jail. I fully agree that crimes like this must be punished to the full extent of the law. Thankfully there will now be room in our prisons, since we no longer prosecute those who commit minor offenses such as looting, burning, beating up cops, destroying property, etc.
