As Madness Reigns in Russia, a Voice of Wisdom From Kenya

Russia is now unleashing its massive military assault on Ukraine and shattering every international norm in the process. Putin himself has shocked the world with his authoritarian actions and rhetoric. We are watching the blind rage of megalomania played out on a world stage. The only voice that seems to resonate in this madness is that of Putin himself. There has, however, been one voice that seemed to embody the best of our international and law values. It is the voice of Kenyan U.N. Ambassador Martin Kimani. While many of you have likely heard parts of his incredible address, I thought that this would be an important time to hear his remarks, which include criticism of all of the world powers.

Here are his remarks on the violent thrashing of “dead empires.”

Notably, Kimani has a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire (1996). He also a master’s degree (2003) and a PhD (2013) from King’s College and the University of London.

  1. Biden was Vice President when Crimea was invaded. It is his fault for appearing weak. Putin the hyena has taken advantage of
this perceived weakness. Biden could have chosen to project power somehow. Just becuase he is weak and feeble himself doesn’t mean
that the miltary that he commands is. Roosevelt was in a wheelchair.

    1. “project power somehow’? Is this the best you can do? You think that fat fop you worship “projects power” with his fist-pumping, bluster and endless lying (“Mexico will pay to build the wall”)? Biden is neither weak nor feeble, and no matter how many times they say so on Fox, it’s still not true. Biden has pulled together world leaders to confront Russia’s invasion. Germans will pay a steep price for shutting down the Nord Star pipeline–several thousands more per year per family in higher energy costs. Poland is taking in any and all Ukrainians who want to flee and will take care of them. Other countries are shutting down Russia’s finances and sending troops to NATO countries on Ukraine’s border. Do you think the rest of the world would rally around Col. Bone Spurs? You just love to hate Biden because you’ve fallen for the delusion that Trump is powerful or an effective leader. His life story proves he isn’t, and never was. All fluff and bluster–the “self-made boy-wonder billionaire master deal-maker”, which is all lies. He was supported by his father well into his forties, and he has bankrupted 6 businesses. If he were a patriot, he’d shut up, go away and let Biden manage this crisis without providing commentary that is actually used as Russian propaganda. But, as long as cameras are rolling, he’ll keep running his mouth.

      1. The plain fact is that Putin made no moves against Ukraine during Trump’s term. It is also true that Putin took Crimea while Obama was in power. And the downside for Putin has been what, exactly? It is neither Trump’s nor Biden’s fault that Putin invaded Ukraine – that’s all on Putin. But Putin understands that Biden is a weak leader, regardless of the military muscle he commands. Putin may not understand the lengths to which Biden and the West may inflict economic hardship on Russia, but Putin is betting that anything we do will be temporary.

        1. What qualifies either you, or the lying alt right media you depend on to comment on what Putin “understands” or what Putin “bets on”? Biden is NOT a “weak leader”: that came straight from alt-right media because the one you worship says so, based on his bitterness over losing in 2020, and it’s un-American in addition to being untrue. Biden has already accomplished more than Trump did in 4 years’ time, by pulling together bi-partisan support for an infrastructure package, despite pressure from Trump on Republicans to refuse to cooperate in passing any legislation. Biden has coordinated a non-military response by collaberating with NATO allies to punish Russia, including getting Germany to agree not to proceed with the gas pipeline, which will be very costly to German citizens, France and other countries have imposed sanctions on Russia, and NATO troops are massing on Ukraine’s borders. Do you think Mr. Pompadour could have done this? Putin was counting on Trump helping him put NATO at bay, and Trump has said that if he got back in office, he’d pull the US out of NATO. That’s all we really know about Putin’s thoughts.

          1. “What qualifies either you, or the lying alt right media you depend on to comment on what Putin “understands” or what Putin “bets on”? Biden is NOT a “weak leader””

Regardless of what you might think, I’m neither left, right, “alt-right” or any other pejorative you care to come up with. When I say Biden is a weak leader, that’s my opinion. Whine all you want – it’s your right.

            1. You spoke to what Putin “understands” and what Putin “bets on”. Again, what qualifies you to make such a statement? Where, other than the alt-right media you obviously watch, do you get your deep hatred of Joe Biden? When you repeat the steady drumbeat of “Biden is weak”, “Biden is senile” which is put out every day on Fox and other alt-right, it’s clear to me where it comes from.

You say it’s your “opinion” that Biden is “weak”. Just HOW is Biden “weak”? Do you have facts, or do you just fall for your pompadour-wearing hero’s lip-biting and fist-pumping as signs of strength?

              1. Just ONE example of Biden’s weakness comes from thousands of people chanting ‘F*ck Joe Biden’ week after week in stadiums all across the country.

              2. “You spoke to what Putin “understands” and what Putin “bets on”. Again, what qualifies you…”

Again, what I said was my opinion. No “qualifications” needed. You still continue to whine at anyone who dares to disagree with you. Get over yourself.

              3. “Do you have facts, or do you just fall for your pompadour-wearing hero’s lip-biting and fist-pumping as signs of strength?”

I’m sorry, but at what point in the thread have I ever expressed support for Trump? Do you have any FACTS to support that statement, or is it merely your opinion? You are assuming WAY too much…

              1. Thanks Estovir,

I noticed Tucker suddenly being attacked on many places including here. It looks coordinated.

                1. Im very concerned about Marxism being stronger in America than never before. My Anglo friends, as a young teen and then young adult, would often say I was paranoid about Communists infiltrating America’s political leaders. My friends don’t say that to me today. Their faces are worried about the things I experienced in Cuba evolving here in America. Because they are. Canada obviously.

                  1. For whatever reason there is a large amount of criminals, pedophiles, racist & they support the Dim/Rino Nazis here & in Ukraine. Marxist or real Nazis not much difference of Tyrannical Authoritarians, both oppose Americanism Freedom of our USC Rights.

This is not meant as propaganda, just take a glance back at the Kyle Rittenhouse Self-Defence Case. & look at those attempting to murder him.

I need to go back for a Stats Class…. What are the odds so many of those freaks that attack people like Kyle & USC turn out to be Pedos, Marxist, Nazis, Mental Ill Retards?

Other then that the Crows have to eat also.

                  2. Estovir,

                    OT/OT:
Thank you for your attempt to inform me/us of technological info on mRNA Gene Therapy.

I think I’m more just asking what the time is & your hoping to educate me on how to build a grandfather clock or say something way more complicated then a F16 instrument panel.

Outside of the info overload the last few months, like this I saved, https://vaccineimpact.com/2022/german-health-insurance-claims-show-31254-deaths-following-covid-19-vaccines-while-official-government-stats-report-only-2255/,

Of key interest is Obama signing the illegal Cures Act, attn Sec. 3024 & there’s a ref at the very last couple of minutes of that interview in regards some key numbers I need to go back pull off.

What I’m attempting to say is currently way more info then’s need to bring civil/criminal charges.

              2. That position description needs to include:

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to think like a Conservative and then remove reason and logic!

They have never been so obvious as they’ve been with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. There is no need to respond to them as the reasonable and logical response to their utterly ridiculous comments actually write themselves.

      1. How dare you, Mr. Young.

Most certainly, Professor Buffoon would never do that.

His Imaginary Eminence strictly observes the “civility rule” and proper etiquette.

  2. Whose fault it is that Biden is president? If you voted for Biden, then the Ukraine invasion is YOUR fault!

    1. In a few weeks it will seem as if nobody voted for Biden; at least nobody who will admit to it.

    2. You apparently were watching bottle blondie on Fox last night when your hero pivoted from his statement the day before praising Putin for being “smart” and “savvy” for the “wonderful” invasion of Ukraine to blaming Joe Biden’s “weakness” for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. When blondie made reference to a US report of an amphibious landing at Odessa, the one you worship, who is so focused on losing the election that details escape him and because he never misses an opportunity to get this fat axx before the American public, thought the US was invading Ukraine. So, he went into attack mode against the stupidity of announcing the amphibious landing in advance, at which point blondie had to correct him–it was Russia doing the invading, not the US. Then, he tried to blame the invasion on a “rigged election”. At that point, blondie’s handlers told her to shut him off. But, you still believe it’s all Biden’s fault because your hero said so. Not only Biden’s fault, but the fault of the majority of the American voters. The depth of your delusion is literally stunning.

I want one or more of you Trumpsters to explain to me, citing specific facts, exactly HOW it is Joe Biden’s fault that Putin invaded Ukraine. While you’re at it, explain how and why Putin took over Crimea as well. Maybe that’s Joe Biden’s fault, too even though it happened years ago? I’m pretty sure they don’t tell you on your alt-right attack Biden networks about Putin’s stated long-term goal of taking back all of the countries that gained independence when the Soviet Union fell apart, because, well, that might explain the Ukrainian invasion as part of this long-term strategy. Never let an opportunity to use something bad to attack Biden pass by. And, you disciples fall for it.

      1. This is why, to me, your actual screen name is ‘Scroll Through’. I scrolled through *this* post, in fact, though I saw your other screen name (‘Natacha’) and your comment’s/delirious rant’s blog post length, as I scrolled through.I would imagine it could be distilled to: Turley. Trump. Fox, non-DNC member. Nazis whi disagree with me, ad nauseam. One of the hallmarks of mental health, even if a person’s behavior is damaging, is knowing that one’s self is not functioning ok, even if they don’t know what to do about it. You, ‘ Natacha’, do not exhibit that trait. Moving on.

        1. Sorry for the typos. Haste on a screen. ‘who’. I honestly and truly believe that for such individuals, those being the ones that seem to think mere disagreement with their adopted religion (read: progressivism. You can view the tenets elsewhere if you aren’t already familiar) is on par with literally murdering millions of people (like Natacha thinks) what their no-no list of words or phrases (they can be triggered by the word ‘fox’, for Pete’s sake) that make them feel bad (pro-tip: no one, as an adult, can *make* you feel anything. That is really up to you. This is a legal blog, not a political one, though at times those things overlap, and as in law, one is supposed to be as objective as possible, and despite your twisted imaginings, that is for the preservation and betterment of all (I would bet that the likes of Natacha only show up for their source of employment only show up if they ‘feel’ like it that particular day). The best solution actually IS to continue to call them out (Natacha) with equal free speech, not to simply ignore them. It isn’t to convince them of anything, just to show that there is indeed very strong opposition to their sequestered, ignorant, oft times illegal under actual law, and privileged idiocy. Facts of life and true equality under law, and a system that supports those things, scare the living s*** out of them.

      2. “Well son of a b*tch!”

That’s what VP Joe Biden bragged on camera after he got the prosecutor fired. You know, the one investigating corruption in the Ukrainian company that paid the Biden family over a million dollars when they put his crackhead son, Hunter, on its board?

        Biden’s family is filthy corrupt.

Biden is incompetent and compromised in every way possible. He himself is a national security threat to the United States.

  3. Warmongers like China, currently threatening Taiwan, who make appeals to dialogue are like Lucy van Pelt yanking the football away from Charlie Brown. “Maybe THIS is the time that dialogue will be effective!” These appeals only help China’s ally, Russia, stalling the West from taking more concrete and effective measures, giving Putin more time to continue with the invasion. Lucy never had any intention of letting Charlie Brown kick the football. Putin has no intention of letting dialogue stop his ambitions. The hopes and promises of dialogue is just a tool to buy time to proceed. Will someone in power please act on this nugget of knowledge, and all the other ones I have bestowed upon you? Thank you.

    @ggreenwald
There’s a major irony when it comes to partisan politics and Russia: Obama was everything Trump was accused of being. Obama was eager to avoid confrontation with Putin. He resisted sending lethal arms to Ukraine (Trump did) and denied they were a grave threat (even after Crimea).

Obama’s theory here is simple: Ukraine is a core Russian interest but not an American one, so Russia will always be able to maintain escalatory dominance there. “The fact is that Ukraine, which is a non-nato country, is going to be vulnerable to military domination by Russia no matter what we do,” he said.

    1. 😜 And here I thought my sarcastic comment at 8:30am this morning would rival The Babylon Bee. And didn’t realize John Kerry would beat me to it.

  5. When angels corner a devil, to contain him from doing more mischief, then it’s the angels’ fault are provoking him to lash out??? He’s a friggin’ devil! Stop having sympathy for him. From 1949 to 2022, there was never a major conflict in Europe:

1950: NATO, but no major war.
1960: NATO, but no major war.
1970: NATO, but no major war.
1980: NATO, but no major war.
1990: NATO, but no major war.
2000: NATO, but no major war.
2010: NATO, but no major war.
2020: NATO, but no major war.
2022: Putin, but now there is a major war.

NATO had a lot of time over the years to start a major war, but has not. If NATO was champing at the bit to start a war, why had it not done so as soon as it could? NATO is a defensive organization that has kept the peace over the years. The Putin regime is an offensive organization that has simmered conflict over the years.

    1. WTF? Major Conflict? Already?

Whatabout Yugoslavia? Whatabout Crimea? Cyprus, Basques, Greece (a few times), Romania, Georgia, Chechnia,… Come on.

  6. When the USSR tried to put nuclear weapons in Cuba in the 1960s, President Kennedy risked nuclear war to stop it. Putin today is risking war with the West to keep Ukraine, a neo-nazi stronghold, from acquiring Western nuclear weapons. That Western powers, including the US, are siding with the neo-nazis is a disgrace. The US deliberately ignored Russia’s legitimate security concerns by weaponizing the neo-nazi Ukrainian military and pushing NATO forces closer to Russia’s borders. This was a deliberate provocation, and when Russia responds, the US cries foul. And the illiterate US public, who just days ago gave the senile president failing grades, now seems to believe his lies and spin about this crisis. Who says you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

    1. If Kennedy had removed the Jupiter missiles from Turkey, Kruschev would not have put missiles in Cuba. The Bay of Pigs made Kennedy look weak. Biden should have called Putin’s bluff and said the autocracy of Ukraine would not become a Nato member. Sixty years later Afghanistan looks alot like Jupiter missiles.

    2. You are literally delusional if you believe these lies that were fed to you on your alt-right media. Putin declared two eastern regions of Ukraine “independent”, then used this as a ruse to put in troops and weapons to defend their sovereignty, but now he’s pushing forward to take Kyiv and taking out airports and military installations. Maybe your alt-right sources failed to tell you that Putin’s long-term strategy is to try to reconstruct the former Soviet Union by taking back countries that became independent when the Soviet Union fell. Putin has tried to do everything to keep NATO at bay. If your hero had managed to cheat his way back into power a second time, he intended to try to pull the US out of NATO. He tried to get Russia into the G-7, but the other countries refused. He sided with Putin at Helsinki. Trump desperately needs to borrow money because he has hundreds of millions of dollars in loans coming due this year, and no US bank will touch him because he’s a bad risk. Therefore, he is most likely looking to Russian oligarchs for loans. You claim, without evidence, that Biden is “senile”, but somehow, you don’t notice or don’t care about Trump’s endless lying and his pathetic efforts to defend Putin and Russia because he needs money to maintain the illusion of a successful empire which is financially under water. Why else would a former US President praise a murderous dictator who invaded a country without provocation as “smart”, “savvy”, and call the invasion “wonderful”?

      1. Reporter question to President Biden today:

“Is Putin going to hit America with nukes?”

Joe Biden: “I have no idea.”

      2. “Biden’s decision to shut down his own nation’s energy production will be remembered as one of history’s gravest self-inflicted wounds. It is the national security equivalent of sinking your own battleships. GOP must force vote to bring ALL American Energy back online immediately.” (stevenmiller)

      3. Biden has been saying for months that severe sanctions would keep Putin out of Ukraine.

Biden at his presser today: “Nobody expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening.”

  7. It’s not as if no one had been warned:

Youtube posters: “This is like Hitler’s invasion of Poland.”

NATO: “Thanks for the warning! We’ll get on it, right away!”

  8. If NATO really was the problem, an event like this would have manifested itself earlier. NATO had lots of opportunities to attack Russia if it wanted to. But it didn’t. As Stoltenberg has stated many times, NATO is a defensive organization. The existence of NATO has actually prevented these kinds of events from happening more often. There would have been MORE events such as this, not fewer, without NATO.

  9. Biden is supposed to tell us about Russia today.

Right now I can imagine him on a gurney getting an IV of high dose adderall and dexedrine while his puppet masters wring their hands worrying whether they can reanimate him for just another half hour for the big show.

Disney should make a Biden for these events, something more lifelike than the original.

    1. ~”Putin and Xi perceive the West as a declining power. They view the West as weak, stupid, infantile, decadent and thoroughly parasitized by a mercenary Virtual ‘elite’ class that seems more than happy to wage an internal war on their own Physical classes.”

      @jgreehall

      Biden is a disgrace.

      1. Anny: how the hell do the alt-right news sources you rely on purport to speak for how Putin and XI “perceive” the “West”? Your hero is the worst excuse for a public figure in US history. His ignorance and narcissism are indefensible, not to mention his racism, xenophobia, misogyny and endless lying. He was impeached twice, once for holding up aid to Ukraine in an effort to gin up lies about the Biden family. Everything you post consists of opinions you heard on non-mainstream media. What I don’t understand is the willingness of people like you to believe such lies and the depth of your ignorance and gullibility.

  10. This did not need to happen. A more sane leader would have found a way to coexist with Europe, and NATO would have been okay with that. And all would have been right with the world. Putin is the problem. All the blame is Putin’s.

    1. Biden is the problem. His entire national security team is a bunch of ‘woke’ losers and idiots. America is NOT in good hands.

      IMPEACH!

“The economy sucks, gas prices are insane, inflation is out of control, Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan, communist China is more powerful than ever, and Russia is on the march, but at least there are no mean tweets.” (seanmdav)

      1. Anny: the economy has turned around. Unemployment is the lowest it has been in decades–it was in double-digits when your hero was smelling up the White House. Inflation is the result of the Trump Recession, the worst since the Great Depression, due to his utter incompetence and botched handling of the pandemic. Inflation always follows an economic downturn, but we also have supply-chain problems due to factory shut downs because of the pandemic Trump mishandled, and Trump’s stupid trade war with China, which have worsened inflation. So, our economic problems are mostly Trump’s fault. Anyone who wants out of Afghanistan can leave. Many Americans who are missionaries and who are there for other reasons, don’t want to leave. Putin has a long-term strategy to try to take back all of the countries that became independent when the Soviet Union fell. He started with Georgia, and then the Crimea, and now, he’s going after Ukraine. It’s easy for the fat one you worship to try to blame Biden for everything, but, as usual, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and he is lying.

        1. We had four years of PEACE under Trump.

Biden is giving remarks right now. If he TURNS HIS BACK on reporters shouting questions and YET AGAIN simply walks out of the room to leave his press secretary to respond? then he needs to be IMPEACHED. He is a total failure and disgrace to the country.

          1. Uh, Anny: we still have peace. The US is not at war. Trump caused the problems in Afghanistan by reducing our troop strength from 14, 000 to 2,500, and he turned loose 5,000 Taliban. He cut a deal that didn’t allow for any presence in Afghanistan, including keeping any air base. Yet, disciples like you blame Biden for the problems with the withdrawal.

The one who is a “total failure and disgrace” to the United States is the one you worship, who actually praised Putin as “smart’, “savvy”, and called the invasion “wonderful”.

              1. The people in Russia are seeing Trump’s and Pompeo’s lavish praise of Putin on Russian television–the interviews are being broadcast as propaganda. Your hero doubled down just last night on his praise for Putin–right before it was announced that Putin moved past the areas he had unilaterally declared to be “sovereign”. Explain to me how it is “wonderful” that Putin invaded Ukraine, and why Putin is “smart” and “savvy” (your hero’s descriptions) to use “peacekeeping” of territories Putin unilaterally declared as sovereign (after he put in Russian operatives to stir up trouble) as a ruse to cross the border and gain a foothold. Explain also to me how your hero went from praising Putin’s smartness and savviness to blaming Biden when it became apparent that Putin wasn’t going to stop with just the 2 territories. This implies that invading Ukraine was a bad thing, not “smart” or “savvy” like your hero said. I don’t get it. While you’re at it, please cite to me, if you can, any previous US President who ever praised a murdering dictator’s invasion of a country to prevent it from joining NATO (which is the reason Putin gave for going beyond the two territories he unilaterally declared as “sovereign”) because he perceived NATO as a threat to Russia. Because you probably don’t understand, NATO was formed after WW II to prevent just this sort of thing, which is how WW II started: Hitler’s unilateral declaration that the Sudentenland belonged to Germany. Hitler moved on from there. If the democracies of the world had stopped him earlier, the Holocaust wouldn’t have happened.

                1. On Feb. 11, Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser, said that “the President believes that sanctions are intended to deter.”

Sunday VP Harris said: “The purpose of the sanctions has always been and continues to be deterrence.”

Today, Biden said: “No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening.”

Then Biden said: “Let’s wait a month and see what happens.”

We are not in good hands, America.

                2. Putin warns Joe Biden: “Our people must know that Russia’s response will be immediate and will lead to consequences that you have never experienced in your history.”

Today Biden is asked: “Is Putin going to hit America with nukes?”

Joe Biden: “I have no idea.”

Then he says: “Let’s wait a month and see how our sanctions work.”

          2. No, we didn’t have “four years of PEACE under Trump.” FFS, he didn’t even end the war in Afghanistan.

            1. We had peace under Trump.

He announced the end of Afghanistan and planned for it. Biden f*cked up the withdrawal.

He also ended the ISIS caliphate (or ISIL as Obama only called it).

There was peace breaking out all over the middle east. Numerous nominations for Nobel Peace Prize.

              Etc.

              1. You’re nuts.

The Afghanistan war continued for all four years of Trump’s presidency. That’s not peace!

                1. The war was ending without Americans being killed and with the US holding the upper-hand. Biden dropped the ball, got Americans killed, let terrorists into our country and let the Taliban rule without any American protection. Then Biden provides them money and billions in military equipment.

Could Biden have done worse if on winning the Presidency he had a lobotomy?

                  1. Biden withdrew without even consulting our allies. The British Parliament then held Biden in contempt! And called Biden’s debacle “humiliating” and “dishonorable” among other criticisms. And these are our allies! Biden is a total failure on the world stage and here at home.

            2. Stick to counting your toes. Trump started getting out of Afghanistan in a way to make sure the Taliban didn’t cause us harm. Some people are too stupid to realize that. When Trump made his agreement, he based compliance on strength not weakness. When the Taliban went against the agreement and American interests Trump bombed them in many places. The Taliban never acted up again until Biden came to power. He cost American lives and prestige. That loss of prestige has led to the Ukraine fiasco which is potentially setting China up to take Taiwan.

If you write for ACT BLUE and they pay you they are losing money.

            3. We were never on the verge of a world war under Trump’s presidency. But here we are, thanks to Biden f*cking up everything he touches.

Put that in your free Biden crack pipe and smoke it.

          3. Anny M, don’t listen to her. If she was on Pluto she’d being screaming about Trump. The inter galactic orange man. I mean he’s everywhere.

  11. Bill, the population of Germany voted to have Hitler as their leader. Democratic does not necessarily mean legitimate.

    1. Yes it does. One can legitimate evil. They did it in Gaza and, apparently, in Canada too. Don’t expect Satan to always break the rules.

  12. Gio, what does books have to do with it? Does a paramedic have to know your name to perform first-aid on you? That was stupid.
